As a Healer, Romeo is often thrown around to be the stereotypical, calm and caring type, always being there for the good of the Pride. However, this is not the case for this stubborn and often ambitious Felis male. Most of the time, Romeo finds himself taking the lead of projects that require the gathering of certain medicines, as well as helping to take care of the Pride as a whole. Most, if not all of the time, Romeo sticks to himself, finding that those around him will only be holding him back if he ever were to establish long-life connections with some of his pride-mates. In fact, the mere thought of becoming something that close made Romeo feel unease. Perhaps it was something to do with his past…?

However, there seems to be an unseen side to the toned lion, one that would strike many by surprise. While he wouldn’t ever admit it, Romeo has a fatherly sense when it comes to cubs and adolescents, often taking them under his wing while managing to pull off an “I don’t care about you” kind of attitude. However, there can be certain times when an ounce of pride can be seen in the male’s steel-like eyes. Such times can be quite touching, although it won’t take long before Romeo’s social and emotional boundaries are shoved back up, causing him to retreat back to the Healer’s den.

Appearance:

A large, matured lion with a slimmed and toned structure. His body is covered from head to tail with quite stunning markings, supplying both light and darker markings to help him blend in with the rest of the pride. The male’s eyes are a steel-like color, being able to match his cold and distant personality.

Backstory:


Despite being a pure-blood Sundown lion, it seemed as though his parents had different plans for him once he was born; resulting in his abandonment within the Pride. Without any parents to help raise him, he had to be nestled in with a bunch of other newborn cubs, although, it was clear that he was a bit more…interesting to look at (due to his Prial Felis mutation). This might have been why Romeo never truly felt at home with those around him, despite them being in his own Pride. However, that didn’t stop him from wanting to achieve a higher and deeply sacred rank from within the Pride…a Healer.

Throughout his adolescence, Romeo found that he had to train harder than the other young lions and lionesses his age. So, he trained to be the best he could, in every category possible. In case he wasn’t able to make the ranks of a Healer, he at least wanted to be a Warrior, fighting for his Pride during times of trouble or life-threatening events. However, during the middle of his adolescent years, Romeo managed to fall in love with a young lion from the Haven Pride. It was a strange feeling at first, although, it was clear that the two had been meant for one another. Unfortunately, after a fight broke out between that young lion and a warrior from Romeo’s Pride, the young lion lost his life. Romeo believed that if he could have been there to help the young lion, help him patch up wounds and nurse him back to health, then maybe, just maybe, the young lion could have a chance at living. So, Romeo managed to work harder within the use of Herbs and going out to search for them; keeping in mind that it was all for the sake of that one lion he loved so long ago.

Now, as a healer, Romeo finds himself working amongst his pride-mates more than he’d like to. However, he doesn’t complain, instead making sure that the Pride’s needs come before his own. That’s what his lost love would have wanted, so Romeo would dedicate his life to fulfilling those wants of a love from so long ago.

Personality:

Like most cubs her age, Clarice is fairly social, striking up a conversation with just about anybody that visits Romeo or just her pride-mates as they make their way past the Healer’s den. Due to her social nature, people can often mistake her to be quite gullible, leaving there be times in which a lion or two will try to make something up for Clarice to live off of. However, Clarice never manages to believe a thing they say. Unlike those her age, the female cub is very observant, taking in the body language of those talking to her. Due to this, Clarice can often tell when a lion is lying to her or not. However, she doesn’t tend to boast about her abilities, only humbling herself during times in which she is right about the truths of others.

Appearance:

A cub that is somewhat larger than the usual cub, having her back legs being fused together to make a mermaid-like appearance. Her eyes seem to be split in color; one white and one black. While she has a large, black pelt stripe running from her nose to her tail, there are a few white and yellow markings that make their way down her body.

Backstory:

Clarice doesn’t remember much regarding her life before living with Romeo in the Healer’s den. However, she had been told by the Pride’s Healer that she had been found at the border of Sundown territory, unaccompanied by a parent or any possible caretaker. So, out of the kindness(?) of his heart, Romeo had taken Clarice in and decided to try nursing her back to health. Now, she lives her life in the Healer’s den with Romeo, thriving and just enjoying herself in the company of her current caretaker.

Personality: Heracles, from first glance, looks to be mean and angry, but his personality wishes to differ. He's a huge sweetheart, and while not as large as a Primal, still larger than a regular lion. He's a big softie at heart, and is incredibly friendly, but does love to spit back from time to time. He's old, but still got some fire in his furnace.
Appearance: While he has a Jacana colored pelt, it has begun to grey due to some coat genes in his heritage.

Backstory: As a Felis lion, he was admired for his speed and great stealth, and often seen as a gift from those above. However, as a cub he had struggled with truly accepting himself. But he didn't feel satisfied, and later on felt as if things needed a change, so he strived to be friendlier and wished to help others in any way that he could.

Name: Basil

Personality:

Calm and collected, Basil is able to endure hardships and rough words that are thrown around about her due to her status as a Tigon; after all, the unholy mix of tiger and lion was bound to spark controversy and hate towards the female. Being judged and heavily threatened by those in her old pride, Basil had learned how to just ignore and process their hateful comments, rather than flashing out in a rage of fury like Tigons were known to have done in the past.

However, Basil DOES have a backbone when it comes to her recently pregnant status. Those who comment on her cubs are bound to receive a smack in the face and a growl before stalking away without saying a word. Basil is bound to keep her cubs safe from harm's way, finding that they are the only things that are keeping her from feeling lonely. Nothing is stronger than the love of a mother.

Unfortunately, Basil finds herself a bit anxious recently, feeling as though she won’t be able to properly care for her cubs. Ever since her pregnancy became known, Basil is quite anxious and overly paranoid, causing her to avoid people all together. However, the female Tigon knows that she’ll have to find some place to take her unborn cubs, even if it’s the last thing she does. The thought of her cubs possibly starving to death causes great stress for Basil; thankfully, only fueling her determination to find a place for her unborn cubs to call home.

Appearance:

A sturdily built tigon female whose stomach is rounded due to her pregnant status. Her pelt seems to fade from darker colors into lighter colors, having a stunning mix of black, red, yellow, and white. Basil’s Bronze eyes seem to reflect a sense of compassion and motherly intent, bringing peace to those around her.

Backstory:

Being born into a pride in which controversy and hatred fueled those within it made Basil feel like an outcast immediately. Her mother had been a Broodmother in their old Pride, up until those around them found out that she hooked up with a tiger not so long ago, resulting in the birth of Basil. After taking her mother to a court-of-sorts, the lioness was sentenced to death under the betrayal of the Pride; leaving Basil an orphan. Of course, it didn’t take them long after her mother’s death to toss out Basil as well; leaving the now 2 month old Tigon cub to fend for herself in a world in which would beat her down constantly.

Around her adolescent years, Basil was quite skinny, only ever eating scraps that were found from the meals of hyenas or even lions themselves. While it was rough, Basil refused to give up, finding that eating scraps was better than eating nothing at all. Eventually, Basil tied her confidence and determination together and began teaching herself how to hunt. Thanks to the other loners she had seen hunting every now and then, Basil was able to take notes and even analyze possible solutions behind a successful hunt. After a few trial and errors, Basil had taught herself how to hunt and soon began to regain her strength that she had once had as a cub.

During her young matured years, Basil still found herself living alone with nothing but her hunting skills keeping her alive. However, it wasn’t long until a young lion made his way into her life, soon being known to Basil as Revolt, the husband to her future cubs. Basil and Revolt had hit it off right away, sharing stories of their experiences as loners and their lives before they had become loners. Revolt had made Basil feel good about herself, and had made her feel seen. Genuinely, Basil adored and loved the male so very dearly. In fact, they had soon become mates and in fact, became parents-in-the-making. Unfortunately, Revolt had gotten into a brawl with another male, a Primal male at that, leaving Revolt with quite the challenge on his paws. While Revolt had ended up winning, he had been fatally injured, soon passing away and leaving Basil alone once more.

Now, Basil finds herself sorrowed over the loss of her mate, however, she still pushes on to give her cubs a better life and a loving place to call home. Basil still has yet to make up her mind, as to whether she should stay in a pride with her cubs once they are born, or leave them there to grow up into stronger individuals.

Personality: Cruel and sadistic. He loves to cause pain and watch others be injured or wounded. He is known for being heartless and uncaring. The only one he actually tolerates and treats decently is his second in command Kimba, another primal who wondered into Coy Fish's territory when he too was leaving Tormenta's pride.

Orientation: Pansexual, polysexual, but only with mutated lionesses. If they aren't mutated he may use them (if they have a chance of giving him a mutated cub) before he kills them.

Backstory: Coy Fish, or just Fish for short, never knew his parents. His father was out of the picture before he was even born and his mother died shortly after birthing him and his four siblings. Fish, as the oldest, took charge of his siblings and watched as he failed to protect them against threats and starvation as he was only a few months old when his mother died. His brother, the second oldest cub, went off hunting to try and help Fish care for their siblings. When he never returned weeks later, Fish assumed the lion had been killed or died in some way.
Blaming himself, Fish became more and more heartless as he was left with only his youngest sister after his other sister succumbed to starvation. He tried his best to protect her, but they were both starving as Coy Fish was never taught how to hunt and his sister was too terrified to be of any use. Overcome by hunger and rage at the lack of help, Fish killed his sister and ate her. After that, Coy Fish was strong enough to get on his feet and started to grow stronger. As a smilus primal he had an advantage of size and strength over other lions. He came to view those without mutations as weaker and less then and took great pleasure in torturing them before he killed them. Coy Fish now lives in his own mini pride on the outskirts of Sundown territory but longs to join the SD pride and eventually become the king there. His only true friend is Kimba- who he views as his brother.

She is starved and mistreated constantly- but never enough to actually kill her. He seems to have an odd fascination with Moogly and refuses to let her die or leave. He forces her to watch as he kills the other lionesses and cubs without mutations and warns her that she could be next constantly.

Name: Though her name has never been uncovered, she has been nicknamed Friesian for her curly fur, resembling that of a Friesian Horse from faraway lands.

Personality: Friesian is a clever, tricky spirit. She loves to play around with cubs or frighten them. However, she is not shy with showing herself to others, unless it is to mess with their head. She lingers around lions who had disobeyed any code or rule, and it is said that you can smell fire nearby if she is around you.

Appearance: Friesian is a dark-colored lioness with fire opal jewelry and chains, Noctis Rosettes and firey eyes. She has curly fur like none other, and has been admired by it for centuries. She also has a long mouth curled up next to her ear with sharp teeth jutting out, she has been seen as fearsome and terrifying for it.

Other: Within history, it has been noted that Friesian always will appear before disastrous events, whether it be a natural event, a supernatural event, or anything else with a terrible outcome. She smells of bushfires (or regular fires) and smoke, and can always be seen leaving a trail of smoke behind her. She isn't super-op, as I've limited her powers to only where she can hide herself in thin air, only moves small things such as bushes or anything like that, and she can only fully manifest (being able to actually touch and fight other lions) with strong negative energy around her, otherwise she will not be able to do much except wander the territories.

Personality: Soft spoken and shy, Lachia has been an outcast her whole life. She was born to an unfaithful mother who immediately sought to hide the disgraceful cub. Lachia was constantly blamed for the pain her own mother endured when her father discovered the hybrid cub and took these accusations to heart.

Backstory: Lachia was born to a sleek lioness of high standing named Dawn. Her father was supposed to be Essek, a large lion above Dawn in rank. However, during the few moments Dawn had to herself as a soon to be bride, she would sneak from the pridelands and meet up with a rogue tiger. The male wooed Dawn and tried to convince her to leave the pride and join him in exploring the lands between all the prides. Used to her pampered life, Dawn always said she would think about it. Everything came to a head when Lachia was born- a tigon cub.

And, as if being hybrid wasn't bad enough, Lachia was born with characteristics of both males and females which confused her mother. As the cub grew, Lachia began to prefer the more feminine things, which led Dawn to gender the cub with female pronouns. Dawn tried to hide her hybrid cub and was successful for the first three months. Having developed a voice and an insatiable curiousity, Lachia would loudly beg her mother to let her explore the outside world. Dawn left Lachia on her own more and more often, raising Lachia's half siblings that she had never even met. Due to being unsupervised, Lachia managed to escape and came face to face with Essek as she wandered the pride lands

As a cub, Lachia was adventurous, loud, needy, and disobedient. After she had escaped and been found out by the rest of the pride, she became fearful, shy, hesitant, and reserved. She refuses to talk about what took place when Essek discovered her, but it is obvious she is still scarred as she becomes anxious and panicky when in the presence of other male lions. Once she was old enough to live on her own, Lachia left her current pride and tried to find her real father. So far, she has had no luck.

However, his sister was lost for many years, and he tried finding her, but lost hope in the end. He eventually became mates with a rogue lioness, and had his only child, Heathen. However, his “mate” was sneaking off with a Tiger in secret, which angered Hishiro. When he tried to bring Heathen alongside with him, she ran away out of fear due to not knowing everything, and her mother telling lies to her. For years, and still going today, he searches for his daughter, bringing her favorite childhood toy with him in the hopes of reminding her how much he truly loves her.

She became cold and calculated not wanting to let emotion in after everything.
