Name:Obsidian

Personality: Obsidian gives off a first impression as if he's easy to read but don't take him lightly for it! Just like his appearance this young male can be a mix of smoke and mirrors. Obsidian is honest but can leave other cats with the thought of "but it feels like there's more to what he's saying..". However Obsidian is never rude, even to cats with a curt attitude. Nothing can faze this perfect gentleman unless you mess with the ones he loves! Stepping in between him and his loved ones will put you on his bad side forever. Obsidian has a hard time with grudges which is one reason why he wandered into the Haven pride in the first place.
Appearance: Obsidian is a smokey black and brown lion with a scrappy mane coming through. He's not yet two but he still has a strong build, fast and agile. When he's not spending his time under the shade of the trees you'll be able to see his rust colored highlights dancing along the ridges of his muscles and the tufts of his ears. HIs paws and muzzle are the only light points about him, being a soft cream in color. Lion in my Den as well :)

Backstory: Obsidian was found and raised by a clan of Leopards. This clan wasn't the one of fairytales where everyone got along either... this clan was classist, racist, and greedy. The only reason Obsidian wasn't killed insight as a cub was because he was found by a relative of the Emperor. She had desperately wanted cubs but had lost her mate three seasons ago and had yet to be claimed. She had immediately attached herself to Obsidian and fought to keep him with her. Obsidian always did his best to secretly protect his mother and her position even though she was mateless. He had done enough paw licking and errands to last a lifetime... The only reason he wasn't still there was because his mother passed. She had gotten sick and the clan deemed that she wasn't worthy enough to receive medicine and care due to her status. Obsidian did everything he could to take care of her on his own but it wasn't enough. The night she passed he quietly packed up and left, leaving no trace.

Other: Obsidian is a great climber being raised by leopards and is very good at staying hidden and in the shadows because of his age he's not yet ready to be a warrior but his mother always told him that she had a feeling he would be very large once in his prime. There were always rumors floating that he could be related to some pride called Sundown but no-one really knows where he came from or why he was found alone.

He became a rouge after his mother pass from a respiratory infection (said infection pushed him to become a healer). One day he got into a horrid battle with another lion, he ended up killing said lion, but in the fight the opponent had struck him in his right eye, leaving it permanently blind. Despite his short temper, he is careful when analyzing others, and will only lose his temper if he feels he has learned enough of someone, as it would be easy for him to predict their next moves. Although he is honest and kind at times, he is making an attempt to break manipulative habits that his mother had taught him as a cub, which results in him sometimes trying to guilt-trip or manipulate someone.

As he grew older, and his mother retired to the elder's den, he realized that the habits she had taught him were toxic and terrible, yet they were hard habits to break, and has yet to break them, but he's working on it.

Not with ill feelings but with honored permission to live and grow. Now she's returned hearing her King was finally ready to make a choice for queen. Backstory:
Cicada was born in a litter of only muties. Her mother, Lorrel, and father, Ibis, were extremely happy about this and raised them all to think of themselves as better than all other lions. This slightly backfired on the father, as he was just a regular lion and his own cubs now refused to listen to him and viewed him as inferior to them. Exasperated and over it, Ibis left when the cubs were only 3 to 5 months old.

For some reason, their mother named them all after different bugs- Locust, Grasshopper, Cicada, and Katydid. When they all turned a year old, Lorrel sent them off on their own. As the youngest, Cicada watched as her siblings went off to live their own lives and never returned. She had had it worked into their heads that her cubs were meant for great things, and so when none of them came back with tales of glory, Lorrel took her frustrations out on her last cub- Cicada. This taught Cicada that her wants and needs were not worth mentioning, that all she was good for was becoming better than everyone else.

Personality: She can be very shy, she doesn't trust easily and can be spooked by loud noises. Saying that, she isn't weak, she can put up a fight and will fight to protect herself if she believes she needs too. She has survived so much it's clear to anyone her powerful will power to keep living, to keep her mothers memory alive. She has a problem with speech, due to her trauma, she hopes to over come it in the next few years.

Backstory: Reed spent years dealing with her older sisters wraith, their father had died trying to protect Reed from Hyenas and almost everyone but their mother Geneva blamed her. Geneva was a fair Queen, she hoped to rule until either Moss or Reed, her daughters, were old enough to take over. An older lioness by the name of Seka fell in love with Moss and decided it was time Moss became Queen and so she with the help of Moss murdered Queen Geneva in her sleep. Moss had horrifically bullied and tortured reed growing up and now wanted her dead so she would have no contenders for the thrown, she sent Seka and their army after her, Seka caught up to her and beat the life out of her but the adol somehow found the strengh to fight back and kill Seka, the rest of the pride came after her but she managed to fall into Havens territory.

At the age of 11 years, she realized her time was cutting short, as her sisters had passed away and they had provided no children to continue the line. With the manipulation of her mother, she had her only cub, Direwolf, just after her mother had passed away due to an infected injury. Despite the circumstances of her mother's death, she loved her cub, but unfortunately had taught him her mother's manipulative ways. While she wants to become a better lioness, it is difficult for her after she's acted this way for all these years, and she feels as if she can never have a chance to redeem herself.

Then when she turned 1yr her mother passed away Newt knew she needed to do something. All her life she's been watching, observing her pride's personalities and strategies, she's been trying to glean as much knowledge out from under their noses as possible. Newt doesn't know what she's gonna do, if she's gonna leave for a new pride or start a rebellion, all she knows is that the rage and hurt festering under her skin is gonna have to come out some how.
