Domino|Sunbaked

The male was currently humming as he worked around the pride. Setting up more altars and activating them each. He tuts- coming upon Katsani's altar covered in gore once more and rolls his eyes. He begins to clean her altar- scrubbing it down with water and a sanitizing mixture of herbs. He scrubbed until it was squeaky clean- huffing once he was finished.

" I swear. People hear " goddess of the hunt" And think all she ever needs is gore and blood! Tch. Honestly! How gauche. No huntress wants to sit in a pile of hot rotten meat." He remarks aloud- patting the altar before trotting off to the medicine den once more.

He peers into the healing wing with a raised brow. Happy to see the medicine he'd mixed up was gone. He comes in humming a tune to himself, cleaning up any mess that had been made before exiting to create more serum for Harbinger. He was pretty certain in a couple days it shouldn't be painful for him to speak. As long as he kept drinking the medication when needed that was.

Nayla|Other den

Nayla crept out from a small hiding place, ears perked and eyes wide. She had heard slight whisperings of news about Coy fish being dead and dethroned by the queen. But she knew better than to hold out hope. But nevertheless- her curiosity was getting the better of her. As far as she could tell- most of the waste cubs had stayed put- even when told by guards they were free.

They'd be brought food and clean water as well. But most were weary of it- worried it was poisoned since it wasn't lion meat. As Coy had pulled that on them before.

She stayed low to the ground and scuffled up the steep exit with small grunts- eyes squinting at the sudden light.

She had half a mind to dart back inside.. but once she looked around at the place.. She felt more at ease.

Hyena|Sunbaked

The miss laughed- helping Calida swim on her own. She was still a bit wobbly when it came to form- but she could easily swim now due to her and Ra's teachings.

The water they swam in was far less murky and pungent as it was before hand. Perhaps if they were lucky the water would get even clearer the more they tended to it.. maybe one day they'd even have plants.. though that was more of a wish than an expecation.

The sun had grown high above the sky by now. And Calida was seemingly tired from all the exercise. The primal lifted the little she out from the water- and let Ra hop on her back as the waded out of the water and back to the pride. As she looked around- it was clear a few more Altars had been set up. To whom she couldn't really tell. But she was certain of who did it. Not that she minded.

Haven|Sleekwater

Haven was currently basking in the sun with his wife, cleaning her pelt as she was now starting to grow a bit too big for her to reach every part of her. But he didn't mind in the slightest- putting his ear to her tummy when he was finished to hear their cubs move around with a purr.

Harris|Mangrove

The lion had spent most of his morning helping Lady down off of the trees- which seemed far more difficult than getting her up them.

Angel|Sleekwater

Angel was currently in his den- thinking of what he wanted to do to surprise wayward. He wanted to give her a nice night. Just the two of them. He'd already had a dinner planned for them, then a walk on the beach and moon high. But he wondered if it'd be enough.

He sighed- starting to prepare the meal. He'd managed to find some small crabs that would fare well as a side dish with the gator he had harvested from the earlier run in with mudstone.

He was currently soaking both meat in a concoction of herbs and water- to let the flavor sink into the flesh.

Katsani | Sunbaked Altar

She hummed along with Domino, a few notes behind him as she had no clue what he was humming along to. She danced a bit when he brought up huntresses and giggled at his remarks. She had forgotten how much she loved a clean altar and she could finally breathe without the scent of rot filling her mouth and nose. Calliope on the other paw was not as impressed. He slithered around, disappointed in the lack of gore.


Mudstone | Mangroves

She stared at Sage with a smirk, waiting for him to crack. The clay she had packed into her wounds was beginning to dry and crumble, but at least most of the bleeding had been staunched.


Shadow Blossoms

She was a worried mother hen, but tried to keep her comments to a minimum. She kept turning to Ghost to whisper her fears and plead with her other mate to not let her ruin Hyena and Calida's moment.

"I know I'm being paranoid, but water, Ghost!" She hissed, not very successful at keeping her voice quite. The look she gave Ghost made it seem like there was something super dangerous about water. It was a little funny.


Harbinger | Sunbaked, Healers Den

He shifted a little bit, snoring softly and reaching out a paw for Talus. The scent of a heavy thunderstorm tickled his nose and he grumbled in his sleep.

Shadow Blossoms | Sunbaked Center

She whined, leaning into Ghost and about to say something when the crack of thunder exploded overhead. The sky was growing darker by the second and droplets trickled from the sky. She laughed at first, this being her first time actually experiencing rain. She turned her head to the sky and allowed the water to just caress her, until it became a downpour. There was no warning.

"Oh goodness!" She looked at her mates and cubs in surprise. Her fur was plastered to her body and the ground was turning into a muddy slop. She had no clue what to do.

Hyena|Sunbaked

Hyena Flinches at the thunder- shaking her pelt and scooping up the cubs. She helps lead her mates out of the rain. Letting them run ahead and take cover in the now empty royal den.

Calida yawns- tuckered out from all the swimming. Hyena almost puts her in Coy's old nest- wincing before jerking her back.

She grumbles- putting Calida down on a small pile of underbrush with Ra close by. She then looks to Ghost and Shadow Blossom and snickers. Hyena's bangs were covering her eyes, her fur being shaggier than the rest of her mates. Which meant her coat was very heavy with water. And was dripping with both rainwater and pond water.

She parts her fur to the side and swiftly gets rid of Coy's old nest. They'd make a new one in the morning. For now she curled up around the cubs and began to dry their fur, leaving room for the rest of the girls so they could all dry off.

Shy|Lunar

She squeaks- clearly too flustered with emotion to respond. But she does lean into Zu's touch. She sighs- smiling as she buried her head against the crook of Zu's neck.

" I.. uhm... I may not be the best.. at being a mate- I've.. never had one before.." She admits with a sheepish giggle.

Jester is just outside the den, hopping and splashing in the mud and rain "Yippee!! The rains have come back! The gods are pleased at the death of the former king!"

Talus|Harbinger

He curls up against him, blocking the wind from the rain. Perhaps this means the plants will return, as well...

Sage|Mudstone, Harris

"Shutup! I'm going to find Harris!" He huffs, trotting away from her "Harris! Time's up!" He looks around for him.

Okapi|Najwa

It smells like she's nearby. She's currently resting in a patch of shade, waiting for Robber to come back from his next trip.

Raughan | Sunbaked

The sky was tar-black and the large clouds were moving, being able to hear a tapping on the ground and then it became a pitter-patter. People ran for cover outside and into dens as the clouds spat out their beads of water. Puddles began plinking as the rainfall became heavier.

The bright flash of a Florescent, booming thunder strike startled and terrified Raughan, frozen in his spot in the water with fur standing on end. Scampering out of the water he ran under shadow blossoms, frightful eyes looking up at the sky. When he was scooped up by hyena and placed into the underbrush Raughan shook himself to get rid of the water. Snuggling close to her side with every booming sound.

Hel | Sleekwater

“If these cubs move one more time while I try to sleep I will go insane.” Hel groaned out in discomfort as the movement of the cubs inside did no help in assisting in her rest. With a grunt, Hel attempted to ease her discomfort she attempted to stand from her laying position, recoiling back with the added weight that weighed her down too much. Too tired to move but too much in discomfort Hel laid in her original position, groaning softly from the ability to not be able to move easily anymore.

Angel|Sleekwater

Angel hums- starting to prepare the gator. He'd taken the ribs of the animal as well as a cut of its back. He took the meat out of the concoction he had created and placed it down on the stone table in the center of his dining room. He filled two bowls with water- placing them on opposing sides from one another.

He then moved onto the crabs- who were still alive and trying to scuttle their way out of the large bowl he's put them in. He hums- wondering how he should go about this.

He dips his paw in and grabs one by the middle- wincing and fretting as he tries to get it somewhere flat without it pinching him. He then promptly crushed it with a rock. Killing it on impact. He sighed- soon doing the same to the other three. And placed two on each side.

He smiled at his work, before washing his paws off in a small bowl of water.

He then smooths down his mane and gathers some flowers he'd collected from the public garden earlier- and goes around searching for Wayward.

Harris|Mangrove

He jumps- hearing Sage's voice. " Shit. Guess we'll have to meet for my training another time. See ya later." He quickly says goodbye to her- scampering up the tree's and following his cousins voice till he saw his face.

" Yeah, Yeah I'm here. " He sighs- rolling his eyes.

Hyena|Sunbaked

She laughs a bit at Jester's antics before calling out to her. " My love! Come in before you catch a cold. " She warns to her- keeping Ra and Calida close. Hoping they could be warmed by her body heat and tongue.

The healer grinned, clapping his paws together. He hoisted Bongo closer to him with one arm- pointing outside as he spoke.

" Look! Isn't it wonderful Bongo?? Rain! I'm certain my installation of the altars has caused this! That and the death of Coy." he chuffs- ecstatic. Bongo is rather unimpressed and irritated by the storm. As he was supposed to meet on the borders for a very hush hush beetle trade.

He scoffs. " Oh? And by do- do you mean canoodling with your goth girlfriend devil summoner?" He jokes hushly- jumping from branch to branch till they arrived home. He stretched out his back and yawned- shaking off the sand from his pelt.

" we're baaack" He calls out into the Mangrove.

Grandpaw Howl|Mangrove

He blinked at the noise- his ears twitching at his grandson's voice. He and Jasper had set the small baby up in the old nursery- which was rather old looking. Covered in vines and webs. But it will work for now. He still wasn't sure how they'd feed her.. but she seemed at least full for now.

He padded out to the main area- greeting his grandson and Sage.

Hyena|Sunbaked

She sighs- shaking her head slightly with a giggle. Hyena had felt the rain a few times before. But it had been a while.. most likely years since the pride had seen rain. Perhaps Domino was good for something afterall.

Fox and Basil | Lunar pride

They roamed around the pride, stuck glued to each others sides as they listened to the loud and vibrant music played by lions nearby, watching the dancers with the mated lionesses in the middle of the celebration, gazing at each other affectionately as they danced the night away, pulling close and apart as the dance required, cheering and laughter heard from all directions.

Kabir | Lunar Pride

He had been stuck welcoming others to the pride for the majority of the night- having been unable to catch a breath for the entire day. He sighs, a frown crossing his face before it turns into another smile, Kabir greeting yet another visitor to his pride. A small cub runs across his feet- a smiling lioness following after him, catching the cub with a giggle. Kabir paused- staring at the sight with a gleam in his eyes. Seeing the mother and her cub, he couldn’t help but envy them, having been unable to bond with his cubs properly from Sunbaked’s war. ‘ A sadist made a pride and now we all have to suffer the consequences ‘, he mutters to himself, bitterness in his voice as he looks around his pride, sounds of music and happiness filling his once quiet pride.

Petra | Sunbaked

A long, steep dirt path, leading down a rocky hill- the rocks sharpened edges cutting into her paws, opening and reopening scars, making her groan out in pain. Sun beat against her fur, making her pain much more unbearable- desperately seeking shelter. “ Hello? ,” she tries to call out, only to realize she has the voice of a cub. She passes out on the ground, awakening to a small den, decorated by blood and bones. “ Worthless. ,” someone says- her vision to weak to see who, although the voice is familiar. “ Who are you? ,” she asks, eyes widening as she realizes who it was. Coy Fish stood with bloody claws in front of her, looking down at her with hatred and disgust in his eyes. “ Worthless. ,” he repeats, unmoving as Petra begins to gasp, a tear running down her face, then another. Coy Fish strikes at her, blood splattering onto her fur, pouring out of her wounds. “ You are worthless, a horrible, soulless thing- who’s only purpose is to kill and fight… ,” the king pauses, looking behind him for a moment. “ And you can’t even do that right. ,” her vision suddenly fades to black, suddenly surrounded by her past pride and siblings. “ Kit? ,” she asks, reaching out a small, dirty paw to hold her sisters face, Kit mewing affectionately.
Kit reaches out her paw, dearly holding Petra’s before her claws sink into the small paw, blood dirtying the ground beneath the two cubs. “ W-Why? ,” Petra mutters out- trying to move, to break free from her sisters grasp, only to realize she couldn’t move, only speak. Kit says nothing, simply staring at her sister before letting go of Petra’s paw, slowly wrapping her claws around Petra’s neck- soon the whole pride joining in, watching as Petra cried and begged, her mother standing there with her brothers and sisters watching it all with emotionless looks on their faces. She could barely breathe, her own blood and spit clogging her throat as she tried to speak once more, to fight the lions and lionesses off of her, only to fail time and time again. What feels like an entirety of pain, the lions stop, leaving her small, scarred body lying on the ground, all alone and trembling as the cold air hit her fur. “ Wait! ,” she cries out, trying to pick herself up from where she lay, broken, only to fail, hitting the ground with a small thumping sound, darkness overcoming her sight. Petra cries out, regaining her normal voice- waking up in cold sweat, muffling her cries as she looks around the den, grabbing at her neck. unsure of how much time had passed. “ I- It wasn’t real.,” she manages to say, fumbling her way out of the nest, vomiting into a dried-out bush nearby, wiping her mouth as she finishes, staring at the den where Calista and her cubs slept in for a moment, before slowly making her way back into the den, laying back down into the nest, trying to forget about the dream- about her family.
