*warning death/ gore description and abuse*

She feels her heart twist in her chest. She had never been spoken to like this before.. certainly not from Aneesha. She looks at her heartbroken- laying it on thick.

" Aneesha.. How dare you.. I raised you as my own! Praised you! Kept you despite you not being a DU! Who held you when you cowared at thunderstorms? Who mended your wounds and taught you how to mend others?? Who gave you a warm den full of sisters??"

She demands of her- starting to muster up some crocodile tears.

Jade opens her mouth to speak before tumbling down the side of the pit with " oofs" and " gaHs" Eventually she straightens herself. And shakily confronts her mother.

" D-Don't deny it!" She whimpers- stepping up to her mother. She's shaking as she speaks.

Panya rushes to Aneesha's side, Shielding her slightly from the two. Unsure where this was headed. He looks over her wounds with worried eyes, slowly guiding both of them as far away from the confrontation as possible

Meanwhile Hyena was introducing the troops to their new commander, some were excited- others seemed indifferent.

" Now. I expect you all to treat your new Head guard with respect. Should I hear otherwise I'll have to have a stern talk with you all."

The guards nod, looking now to Petra. A small she scampers up behind Hyena and beckons to her- worried.

" M-Miss Hyena!! Lady Hadleigh is.. she-" The she can't explain it- but Hyena doesn't have her explain- instead rushing to the old pit.

" You never treated me like your own! I-I'm one of the only daughters you have left and you treat me like dirt!" She wails. Lady Hadleigh seems cold and unmoved by her tears, looming over her now.

" M-Mama.. Please.. Please love me.. " She whimpers- reaching out a paw to her mother. Wanting to run into her embrace. As she always longed to. She was desperate.

Lady Hadleigh took her paw and held her firmly. Pulling her in. Jade sobs, smiling happily as she feels her mothers heartbeat against her own.

" Mom.. Oh mom.. I love you-" The young she speaks before feeling nothing. Her mind went blank as she felt her neck disconnect from her body.

The Lioness had quickly wrapped her jaws around the young she's frail neck and had bit down. Her pupils blown up till there was no color left in her eyes. She had felt her daughters windpipe and neckbone crack and crumble under her fangs. The minute she let go Jade's head slid off of her limp body, both falling to the ground and bleeding out a lake of blood.

Lady Hadleigh Spits out the blood in her mouth- her face deadly cold.

Panya covers his mouth at the sight. Too mortified to look any longer.

" JADE!!" Imp wails from the rim of the pit, sobbing as the twins hold him back. By the time Hyena arrives on scene she feels her heart stop. The sight is horribly familiar.

Aneesha | Afyasi

Aneesha felt bile coming up her throat, looked away from the bloody scene with tears pooled in her eyes, and covered her mouth with her paw. She cried out in sorrow as her body shook, the sobs shaking her core covering her face into panyas shoulder.



Hearing sounds of paw steps approaching she dared to move her head in the direction and if seeing the holy grace Hyena revealed herself as she looked at the brutal sight. With a shaky voice, she tilted her head to Hyena as tears fell from her eyes and stained the ground.


"S-shes killed her! Lady Hadleigh killed jade, advisor Hyena please help, she's been tormenting us, abusing us, manipulating us! She praises the mad king and builds him a shrine," she says referring to coy, "She planned to sell us off like cattle and kill our future children, please Hyena help us!" She pleaded as she feared what the crazy lioness would do next.

Petra | Afyasi’s Oasis |

Petra smiles awkwardly, although it appears more kind and welcoming then she felt it was, her happiness and eagerness showing with her large smile- before the sudden news brings her back down to the upsetting predicament she was placed in, feeling stuck as she listens to the worried sounds, already preparing herself for what was to come.

The adol’s nest is placed just next to the overcrowded exit of the den, a stiff, uncomfortable thing that served as a bed, and although the adol beside her was already asleep, she still couldn’t sleep, despite the large, dark circles under her eyes, and the large amount of sleepiness she left, she continued to stay awake, listening to the echoing sounds of the outside, watching the shadows and movements coming from the faraway’s of the den. She stays awake for long enough to hear of all the wells and cries- the sounds sending shivers down her spine.

They felt so sad. Broken. So familiar. She wanted nothing else but to forget of them and the memories they awakened within her, she just wished she would fall asleep, no matter how sickly nor ill she felt; she wanted it all to be over with.

Hyena|Afyasi

*warning, panic attack/gore/blood/eyestuff*

She looks to the two young pride members, then to the other girls. She felt her heart shatter. This whole time? This whole time this was happening under her nose? Under HER watch?? Was she truly getting any better if she let stuff like this happen?

Lady Hadleigh was frozen at the sight of the Advisor- backstepping.

" W-What?? You misunderstand! She was attacking me! I had to do what I had to do to survive! Aneesha is hysterical is all! P-Please.."

She crumples to the ground in a bow.

" Please my queen.. Please don't believe her! Don't kill me! Let me take her back! I'll fix her! I'll fix everything! For you!"

She pleads, laughing through tears. Hyena feels vile and sick. How dare she bow to her. As if she was still under her reign after this.

Hyena leaps down into the pit with ease- the earth around her shaking slightly as she makes contact with the damp ground. Soaked in blood and Water.

Lady Hadleigh starts to hyperventilate, imagining herself being torn to bits by the primal in horrid ways. No! She couldn't die like this! She started mumbling prayers to Coyfish, Afyasi, Atia, Katsani. Anyone. To save her.

Hyena approached in a deadly quiet way. Her pawsteps heavy yet silent. Her stare was vicious and hateful. Lady Hadleigh shrieked and wailed like a dying boar- cowering on the ground and covering her ears.

Hyena bares her fangs before growling out her words.

" I had a mother like you once. A manipulative coward who cared more for a dead god than for her own flesh and blood. A mother who cried to get her way like a fussy cub. A mother who DIED at my lover's paws."

She screeches into her face, making her wail louder.

Hyena forcefully shuts her sobbing maw. Making her bite off a bit of her own tongue. The miss screams, yet it's muffled by her own mouth. Despite her feeble clawing at Hyena's grip, nothing was loosening it.

" My mother was lucky to die. Death brings an ounce of peace to a soul regardless if it's heaven or hell that they run to."

She hushly states. She lifts her into the air by her muzzle, her front paws being dangled above the ground while her back paws barely stay on the earth below her.

And then in a blur Hyena slammed her down into the floor- bashing her head against the blood puddle that her daughter had left.

She pins the old lioness down from the back- watching as she shut her eyes to avoid looking at her actions. The Primal lioness hooks her claws under her eyelids, making her squeal before roaring over her.

" LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID. LOOK. LOOK AT YOUR CRIMES. LOOK AT YOUR DAUGHTER. DO YOU SEE HER? DO YOU??"

She screams her throat raw, Lady Hadleigh squirming and sobbing underneath her.

" y-YES! I-I'M SORRY!"

She hiccups, screeching when Hyena pulls away her claws, tearing slits in both eyelids.

Hyena pants, Pinning her down still.

" Leave this pride. And NEVER return. And if you do? I will slaughter you just as I did your false god. "

She warns her- scruffing her by the neck and tossing her aside. Lady Hadleigh scampers to her paws and darts off. Hyena glaring at her as she runs.

She looks back at the mauled she with pity- tears filling her eyes. Domino is soon beside her to help her gather the body. Having been attracted by the carnage.

" That was very attractive my queen" He giggles over to her.

" Shut the fuck up you man whore. Go do your job for Gods sake. And I’m not your queen." She hisses to him, he shivers and smiles before trotting away with Jade’s body.

Hyena pushes back the fur that had covered her sights with a long sigh. She peered at Aneesha and Panya, who were holding each other tightly.

" I'm so sorry I let you all live like this.." She whimpers to the two of them- as well to the rest of the remaining girls.

As Nyx was out hunting, she muttered to herself,
“I’m going to find the pride that left me.”
She didn’t know why she wanted to, if it was revenge, closure, or wanting to show her pride (more specifically her father) what they lost and what she became. She couldn’t remember her parents names or the name of the pride, but she was going to find them. All she knew was her father was a horrible lion and her mother was so sweet. Nyx kept thinking about it until she came across a herd of zebra. “ I think more about it tomorrow.” She whispered to herself as to not scare her prey.

Aneesha | Afyasi

"Y-you couldn't have known Advisor Hyena, Hadleigh made sure to sew our mouths shut. But you're here now and have saved us, all of us."


Aneesha said as she gazed at where Hadleigh fled, watching the area for a moment before turning her head to hyena with a gummy closed eye smile as happy tears pooled in her eyes. Nodding her head at Hyena as a thank you, she looked at panya with a loving smile and nuzzled herself under his chin.


"But now we can choose our own choices, do and see who we love. And we cannot ask for anything better, advisor Hyena. We'll just have to figure out the future part on our own, give this pit a new meaning or reform it somehow. Wed have to figure out wedding this later on."

Despite the utter dread he felt about Jade, he was slightly happy that he and his mate could live in peace. He runs his tongue over her face, chuffing before talking.

" I agree.. But as for weddings.. I think we should go on some sort of proper date first." He laughs slightly. Hyena sighs with a weak smile.

" We'll have to think of something indeed. As for the rest of the DU girls.." She mumbles looking up at the wide eyes of the group.

" While I think they are no better than anybody else.. Due to how little our population is I would say it's a good idea to keep them safe until we have a more fruitful pride. So for now the DU den will stay- but you all will of course be free to choose your own paths. "

She explains half to the girls and Half to Aneesha.

She helps the two of them up the pit. Having placed Havrick on her back as they walk to the healer's den. Domino purrs at the sight of Hyena and gestures to a few empty nests for the wounded.

Havrick quickly gets tended to by Domino and Bongo begins to fix up the more minor injuries on Aneesha and Panya.

Hyena takes a place off to the side- watching out of nerves she supposed. She felt horrid. She should have known.

Lady Hadleigh|Borders

The old lioness had been running for miles, tripping over things as her eyelids bled. She began to sob- falling to the floor and panting. She whimpers to the sky- her eyes shut from the pain

" COY!! Pl-Please.. Help me! Your pride has gone wild! I need you.. I.. I need you.." She begs to nobody, her body quivering as she pressed her cheek into the cool grass that was holding her wounded body.

" Those fools.. those FOOLS! I'll be back.. I haven't died yet.." She tries to reassure herself- despite the blood that masked her lower face and maw.

Shiva | Somewhere | Callahan

Looking at the wind (Shiva was having a time), she scowled. “Yes, yes Motaji, it is funny; I fell in the thorns.” Huffing as her brother helped her get out of the thorn patch, she clamored out of it, and sits down.

Her tail lashes out behind her as her brother climbs out, a bit more gracefully, from the patch pit. “Ah, yes, heavens forbid that we get burnt by the sun,” Shiva grumbles. Immediately back in a good mood, Shiva starts to purr at Callahan. “That’d be lovely, thank you.”

As Nyx had just finished eating the zebra she had taken down, she heard some sort of yelling. She couldn’t tell what is was a first, but as she stalked closer she saw and heard a lioness yelling something about someone named Coy and fools and a pride gone wild. She also noticed the lioness was bleeding from her face.
“What the hell?”
Nyx quietly whispered to herself, she didn’t care much about the injuries of the lioness, mostly about what she was saying. What pride had gone wild? Who was Coy? Nyx was interested. Maybe if she quietly followed her she would get some answers…

Frost had finally gotten up from her little rest. They trotted along her normal route, which just so happened to be where Nyx was. Picking up her scent, Frost’s fur bristled. “Who’s there?” They called out. Her figure was just about as big as a normal lioness’s, but it was still clear that she was not quite yet a full grown adult.
