Pretty simple, and a nice way to vent I'd say! :) All you need to do is state a pet peeve you have about lioden as well as whether or not you agree with the peeve of the person above you. Pet peeves can pertain to just about anything on the site, such as gameplay mechanics, forums, lion appearances, etc.

Example:

Comment 1 - I hate when people breed dirty lions with my king!

Comment 2 - I disagree, inbreeding doesn't matter to me. I don't like when someone's studding is private

Comment 3 - Agree, it is hard to find a good stud sometimes! I don't like (blah blah blah)

You are free to include a reason for your pet peeve as well as why you agree or disagree, but it's not required!

I will start:

I dislike den CSS as it makes it hard to see font sometimes!

I agree and disagree. I think it’s nice for newer users but at the same time, it does feel like the novelty of muties has gone down aside from hybrids. Maybe things will change.

I don’t care for users who won’t stud to lions who have a lot of similar marks. Like a Cimmerian bomb stud refusing Cimmerian bomb females. I figure they do it because they don’t want lions that look similar to theirs or because they don’t want more bombs, but is that really something that matters? It just feels like gatekeeping.

Agree, i mean there's so many lions in this game whats the point of gatekeeping marks if there's going to be hundreds out there?

I do not like when people complain abt lions being dirty

I'm conflicted. Back in the days of early Lioden, no one gave two shits whether a lion was dirty or not. That's something that became popular in like 2019 or 2020. At first, I thought bragging about "clean lions" was fucking stupid. It makes NO difference. Buuuut then I realized that clean lions sell for a shit-ton more than otherwise. Now all of my lions are clean, and I won't even own anything that's dirty for the sake of profit.

conflicted. If its done well, then great, but if its just random frickin rosettes on a random ass lion, then wtf is going on.

Hybrids are too expensive when they arent even rare.

Disagree - something in the game should be kind of expensive lol. What's the point of selling anything if everything is cheap?

Drives me crazy when people say RLC clone. That's as bad as RIP in peace >:(

Agree. I guess some people don't know that RLC means Raffle lioness clone or make a mistake but its still annoying

I don't like it when people put CHEAPEST PRICE or NEED GONE on their trades just to get people to see it

Conflicted I guess? To me those tags are pointless at worst and a genuine advertisement at best. I barely pay attention to trade titles anyways because I search by item and lion attributes.

I don't like when people buy a Special Lioness from a raffle winner then privatize the RL's line (that means keeping the RL and all its clones on one or a few accounts and not allowing others to breed to them). To me it defeats the purpose of RLs and feels like the Lioden version of monopoly lol

I guess I'll have to disagree. In my opinion, if someone buys a RL, it's up to them with what they want to do. These lionesses come in droves every week, so I feel like one or two that are "private" won't be missed too badly. People have different playstyles, and if someone wants to keep a cool looking lioness, even if it's one those super rare marking lioness, for themselves I don't really care. I don't think anyone should feel obligated to do anything like dispersing rare marks or whatever in this lion breeding game.

For my pet peeve, I don't like when my lionesses give birth to cute cubs, only for them to end up being male. Sometimes those cub sex changers don't seem worth it, and they can't even sell sometimes.

I agree, there's this weird limbo where a cub is cute and you'd like to keep it but not cute enough to justify spending the geebs on sex changing it. Such a bummer a lot of times.

My pet peeve is when people display their lions kn their den page instead of just having the cave/unsorted windows, it makes the den slower to load on mobile and bothersome when I want to attack them.

I’m not sure whether to agree or disagree. I don’t go to other people’s dens often, so my experience is pretty limited tbh.

I don’t like how often raffles get cancelled. When you start a raffle, you have to do so with the knowledge that you might not get as much currency/items as you’d like. It’s a risk. And while some users will say upfront how many tickets they want, I’m actually less likely to participate because they’re flat-out saying they will cancel it if their hopes aren’t met. Knowing how common it is for that to happen, why bother? I think there should be a rule against canceling a raffle. At least ones that last a long time and build up a lot of excitement in players. Like you can’t cancel a month-long raffle in the final week.

I don't participate in raffles much but I can see how that could frustrate me.

I find lion sales threads that only display the lions at 100% marking opacity super frustrating. It's annoying having to open multiple tabs to see what they really look like for them to look totally different. When you're buying 100 lions and would have to spend up to 20 to make them look like what was advertised is really annoying. I like the ones the display both natural and 100% marking opacity.

I actually fucking despise that. I wish it weren't a thing– I wish all auctioneers showed their lions at their natural opacities; however, the cold-hearted capitalist in me has begun to follow the trend. It is simply more ludicrous to show lions at 100% opacity than to not, and ultimately, showing them at both natural and 100% opacity is more work. In my auction, I used to show my lions at their natural opacity and 100%. It always frustrated me that auctions that showed their lions at only 100% were making so much more money than I, even though the auctioneers did less work.
So. I've become a heart-eating hypocrite, but money is now my language.

Pet Peeve: Jellyfish as beetles. I'm sorry, but those fuckers just annoy me. There's too many. Half of the "beetles" I fight are fucking Jellyfish. I guess I want more variety. It does always make me feel especially good when I beat them, though.

Agree, like pleas I want to see something original..

Pet Peeve: People selling/raffling dirty lions, not letting the rafflers or buyers know that they are dirty. It gets on my nerves much to spend so much currency on a lion just for them to be dirty, I personally know me and many others don't keep dirty lions or really don't enjoy them.

disagree! clean breeding is a personal preference that has no effect on the game mechanics at all. it is a chosen playstyle that comes with the extra difficulty— that’s part of the reason people choose it! if they want to know if a lion is clean, when it isn’t listed, then it is their responsibility to look through their lineage themselves. although i do understand your frustration, as i myself enjoy clean lions more than dirty ones.

pet peeve: how the pricing of event breeding items WAY lower than what they are at other times of the year (ex. crunchies going for 19 GB right now rather than the 45 GB they are worth later on) just because they are plentiful at the moment. i understand why it happens, but it frustrates me when i want to make the most of those items *now* for trading purposes, but have to wait months ^_^;

Disagree If buffies are valued at 25 GB all year whether plentiful or not, it would be a bit strange to trade two of those for one crunchy in October, for example, when one of them is possible to be gained "for free" while the other hasn't been easily obtained for over half a year. I will say it's frustrating to pop onto the TC on October 1st and see gnawrocks and such listed at like 30 GB already, or yohimbes listed at 15 GB on March 1st haha

It bothers me when people list hybrids for sale like "G2 (G3 overall)" or something like that. Your hybrid is G3! It doesn't matter where the first gen mother is within the heritage since it doesn't affect pass rates >:0
