Tide watched Harvest noticing her tired look as soon as she walked inside the cave,” Nightmare why dont you go keep your friend company while i help lady Harvest relax a bit..”. Nightmare nodded and ran over to Horizon to keep her company while Tide made and nest for The exhausted brood mother,”I understand you have work My dear but you need rest i will watch after your cubs while you take a much needed break…”
The elder assured her nudging her to lay down and rest while she watched over the small cubs being extra carful with them. Tide waited till Harvest was asleep to make sure she got some rest,” Everyone has been having a stressful day this week..I hope a nice rest will help relieve her stress..”she hummed softly soothing the cubs to sleep while she watch over them and their mother.
As the sun slowly set Tide was talking to Nephthys who had come over,” I think Lady Harvest needs to have a bit of time to rest the poor dear looked exhausted when i got here with nightmare..” she turned her head to look and Harvest who was slowly waking up looking a lot better,” Good afternoon How was your rest .? And dont worry your cubs are fine their sleeping at the moment..”
Tide gently moved the sleeping cubs to their mother noticing harvest grateful look,” Its no problem everyone need some rest it has been a stressful week.. It also seems like its time to go nightmare has midnight training with Zodiac..” . Nightmare hugged horizon goodbye before fallowing the elder out the cave,” Have a nice afternoon!” The both of them said quietly as not to wake the cubs.

Queen N’Kai noticed almost immediately that Harvest wasn’t doing too well this morning. its a good thing that he had brought The Grumpy Cherrywood with her today, so that The Grumpy Cherrywood could watch her kits while Harvest got some rest in the shade. N’Kai went and watched Horizon pace around for a bit. when she had asked the cub what was troubling her mind, Horizon just looked away. alright, this was a mystery, but Queen N’Kai wasn't going to pluck at the kit’s mind, it wasn’t a good idea, as the kit could get offended. “ alright, i wont ask. but maybe we could go stomping in the waterhole? “ Queen N’Kai questioned. Horizon nodded her head, probably excited to do something that could get her mind off of whatever is bothering her mind today. Queen N’Kai played with Horizon in the waterhole til Horizon had found something amazing for her current pride! Horizon and Queen N’Kai had drug a drowned cow carcass! perfect for Harvest and the rest of Queen Nephthys‘ pride to chow on! Queen N’Kai gathered his elder to leave, while he delivered the kits back to their half-awake mother, who had an amazing nap. Queen N’Kai and The Grumpy Cherrywood soon went back home, while Harvest, Nephthys, Horizon, and some other lionesses and
sub-males that Queen N’Kai didnt recognize tucked into the cow to eat.

blackstone appears like he always does out of a patch of shadows to the west. he distracts harvests cubs for a while but cannot find horizon. if she wants a day off she can have it. must be hard to meet all these lions every day

Kulman had sent his princeling nephew over with his cubsitters again today, after being gone himself for a little bit. Norok trotted with a bounce in his step while his cubsitters, just two for this visit, chatted warily about their king not feeling leaving his cave. Norok's mind wandered, paying little attention to his cubsitters as they crossed over the hill and approached the special pride once more. One of his sitters nodded towards him, sending him off with a gentle huff. They had already discussed expectations before they left, and Norok knew to stay out of trouble.

The sitters' somber faces lit up for just a moment when seeing that the grumpy lioness from days prior had also finally burst! They cooed and awed at the cubs, offering if there was anything they could do to help her relax for a moment, even through her brash personality.

Meanwhile, Norok hopped over rocks, swatted at pebbles, and tried to hop across the pond, trying his best not to get wet. His tail dipped at one point, dripping as he lifted it. He grunted with a frown, for only a second. He'll have to get better at balancing....darn it!

Soon, he approached Horizon, beaming with a smile and emitting a soft purr. " Hey! I missed you!", his voice cracked as he suddenly became embarrassed about what he was saying..."Um... you wanna do something? We can see who can catch the most grasshoppers!", he suggested, realizing Horizon seemed a little off today. He tried to be patient, not pressuring the cub into any activities. He tilted his head, listening, and showing that his body was focused. 'Active listening', his mom once told him. 'Active listening' was how you let someone know you were their friend, and truly wanted to be there for them. He wasn't great with words yet though, and struggled with his own emotions sometimes. However, he thought this was the right way to act, especially if he wanted to make his Uncle proud.

Jagan decided to give the little cub some space, meeting all these new lions must've been exhausting, fun but exhausting. He left early after talking with other lions for a bit.

Sir Floofypaws greeted Nephthys and Harvest. “Hello and good morning!” He purred, then dipped his head to the two as he slowly and carefully walked over to Horizon. Floofy wondered why she wasn’t as excited and active as usual, but gave her plenty of space. “Hi.” He whispered to her, so that she knew he was here. After a few long, quiet seconds, the king stepped forwards more and sat down. “Must be tiring with all these cubs and rulers, including me. If you need a break, no lion will mind if you want to go home or sleep.”

Floofypaws had been sitting there for a while, watching Horizon pace. “Is there something wrong that I can help with?”

Kaula purred as he saw Harvest's new cubs.
"They're beautiful." He spoke quietly. The cubs were sleeping, huddled against their mother's belly.
"They sure are." Their mother replied. "They have sure been a handful." She purred as she licked her cubs, one by one, across the tops of their heads. Kaula turned his head, to notice Horizon sitting alone a couple paces away. He padded over, and plopped down beside the distracted cub.
"Hi." He whispered into her ear. She looked up at him, and smiled. "Whats up, kid?" Kaula asked.
"I dunno," Horizon bleakly replied. After Kaula gave her a look that said 'what else?' she added on with "I'm just worried. What if nobody wants me in their pride?" She asked.
"Of course lions want you in their pride, silly!" Kaula reassured animatedly. "Look at all of the lions who have stopped by to see you! every one of them would love to take you to your new home." He added, getting a lick from Horizon. "There is nothing to worry -" He was cut off by Horizon leaping at his face, clearly now in a playful mood. She landed on his back, and he rolled over, careful not to squish the little furball. As Kaula was batting at Horizon's ears, he noticed Nephthys and Harvest giving him an approving look. He purred, and scooped up Horizon in his paws, and whispered into her ear. "Last one to the other side of the waterhole wins!" He leaped up, and started racing along the bank.
"Hey! That's not fair!" he heard Horizon yell with a giggle.

Today Mesa Red and Will were there far before the other lions, though, like Harvest, Mesa seemed especially tired today. Her cubs had started saying a few words, barely distinguishable as any actual language. Three of them were sweet little angels, clambering around and pawing at each other gently. The fourth, named Awada, had developed a sort of mischievous streak and was busying herself tackling the others and then running away.

Will, who had seemed enchanted with Harvest's cubs when she had shown them to him the other day, made a beeline straight for her and the cubs. The three little rascals, two girls and a boy, seemed in an especially irritable mood today. Will lay next to her and thumped his tail on the ground, letting her and Mesa's cubs crawl over his mane and rabbit-fur cloak. For a few minutes he made an effort to be quiet to let Harvest rest, but once he let one little sentence out he was on again about all kinds of nothing: about his friend in another pride, about setting out on his own as a young lion, about how sweet the cubs were and how proud their father must be.

Mesa, meanwhile, chose to linger near them, thinking it would be better to leave Horizon alone instead of swirling around her and asking her questions. She had always been extra diligent about her cubs around the other lions here, and hardly seemed to trust them, but now with Harvest's cubs as well she was pacing back and forth and casting glances all around her. "I don't know where our king has been lately," she had told Nephthys earlier. "He said something about space - to be honest, I sometimes doubt that he's all there. Not that he's a bad king, really. He's just . . . busy. I hope you don't mind us coming around so early."

As a lion approached the small group, Mesa's fur puffed up like a hedgehog and she moved forward to herd all of her cubs to her. Will moved back a little, awkwardly unsure where he should be. It turned out to be nothing more than a kindly old gentleman trying to get Harvest to rest. He offered to care for the cubs and Mesa shifted before sweeping her own cubs forward. "You don't mind if we join you, do you?" she asked, moving to join them and keep an eye on both groups of cubs. A white-splattered lioness came out to join them.

"You can sleep," said Will apologetically. "I've been talking your ears off. I'll be quiet now." He shifted like he was going to get up, but seemed to change his mind and settled back down, looking out over the other lions with exaggerated interest.

By the time they got around to leaving, the cubs were exhausted and Will had just about fallen asleep himself. Mesa shook him gently to wake him up and whispered a goodbye to Harvest as they set out.

(I'm glad you don't mind me writing this much! I love writing these so much, I'm gonna be sad when this is over. Maybe I'll host one :)

Alyr stumbled into the clearing, one of his lionesses holding him up. Two younger lionesses followed after him, worried looks on their face. Still supported, he approached Nephthys with a bit of a meek look. His fur was ruffled and a few newer injuries were visible. "Apologies for my unseemly appearance, our cubs have started getting a bit too rough in their training. I've also run into one too many aggressive lions in the past two days."

Foxglove allowed him to lean on her shoulder, her own muscles flexing to keep both of them upright. Behind him, Reyna and Moth looked over to Horizon, then each other, and split off, heading in her direction. They don't speak much past introductions, simply providing company for the young cub. After Alyr spoke to Nephthys a moment longer, Foxglove led him over to a small patch of grass and told him to lie down. The two curled against each other, and Foxglove began cleaning his wounds, fussing over his inability to keep still.

At some point during the interaction, the other two lionesses had begun to tell Horizon stories of their mother, Venus. Despite the excitement in their voices, it was clear they knew their mother was growing closer to passing away. She was the oldest lioness in the pride and had just had her last litter of cubs before requesting to become a broodmother and rest in the den while the younger lionesses went out to hunt.

Horizon isn’t very talkative, but does mention how she’s “worried about tomorrow,” she seems to enjoy that Felis is there, and calms down once she’s got just got someone there to listen. She doesn’t say much more, staying quiet. (@Daimas your ticket for today has been counted!)

Harvest thanks him for his well wishes, seemingly Apathetic in her chatter. Horizon, however, seems to enjoy the fact that Oil doesn’t push. She comes over to him and sits, after a while thanking him for his time. She seems happier as she trots away. (@Zhāng your ticket has been counted! Also I’m so glad, I didn’t expect people to enjoy this as much )

Harvest is very very thankful for the rest, Nephthys also thanking her greatly. Seems everyone is INDEED stressed. Nightmare manages to squeeze out of Horzion that she’s very nervous about picking a pride, and that seems to be the worry plaguing her. She seems much happier to get it off her chest by the time they leave. (@dragon painter your ticket has been counted!)

Horizon was incredibly excited about the cow, stomping her paws and squealing, her mind seemingly thrown off for her worry, even if just for a moment. Harvest seems equally as excited, mentioning that “cow is her favorite.” And thanking both for their time. Nephthys makes sure her pride eats before she even checks for scraps. Harvest, unlike her normal snappy self, seemed eager for the help. The cubs are definitely a handleful for her that she didn’t expect, and she’s the first to admit it, mentioning that her first litter had only been one cub before.
Horizon seemed incredibly relieved to see the other cub, and while it DID take a while to open up, she does eventually do so, being careful not to overwhelm. Gentle mentions about her worry, about Harvest and leaving her mom, asking about “what if the pride she picks isn’t good?” Eventually she shakes it off, and enjoys the rest of the time playing with Norok, hoping around and tapping her paws happily! Horizon seems to take his words to heart, and after a while just asks: “can you stay with me, for a little bit?” With a squeak, seeming he hit the nail on the head with what he said. Soon she’s hiding against him, and eventually falling asleep, her pacing having tried her out. Nephthys approaches quietly and thanks him for his help! (@Turkey, your ticket has been counted for today!)

By the end of their time together, Horizon seemed happier, she flops against her mom and cuddled up with her, the queen and broodmother thanking him for his time. (@soup your ticket has been counted for today!)

Harvest seems to gasp when the two get within sight, raising her head tiredly to greet both, the cubs seem rather annoyed with the new lions, but eventually settle down into a softly mewling pile of fur. Harvest makes an off handed comment about how the father of the cubs was a stud, at her request, and hadn’t met them, though she didn’t seem to bothered by the fact, mostly just enjoying the company of the other lion. Nephthys, on the other hand (paw?) listened to Mesa Red, occasionally mentioning small things about space. She was very quick to assure both they were welcomed at any time, and that Horizon, Harvest, and Queen Nephthys herself rather enjoyed their time.
Horizon eventually joined them, giggling at the sight of Harvest rather happily curled up between Sweet William and Scorpius Nephthys, who was still talking to Mesa. Horizon quietly snuck in, flopping into her mothers paws and curling up for a nice rest. (@Sentiant Being, your ticket has been counted for today! Also I am absolutely gonna miss this as well, and have totally been debating opening a thread in the role plays chatter these are fun to run, I’ll definitely be there if you do open one!)

Nephthys couldn’t seem to help but chuckle, coming over to help the king, Horizon was clearly worried for Alyr, so when the others came forward and began telling stories, the change in her mood was very obvious. She tried to tell stories as well, but mainly only had second hand ones of her prides previous leaders. (Zephyr your ticket for today has been counted!)

That concludes day nine everyone, day ten is up, I suggest refreshing the page a few times, you might notices something,, weird with horizon!

Day ten is the last day. Tomorrow I’ll be rolling the winners, hopefully I can do many more of these to come, and, If I have any luck, hopefully a leopon raffle in the future!!

Alyr approached Horizon, seeming much better than the day before. It almost seemed like his whole pride was there, but Foxglove was notably missing, and there were two new lions accompanying him. One of them, almost a year old and yet riding on his back like she had only just been weaned, had such pretty colors in her fur. The other was nearly solid black and had an annoyed look on her face. "Hello, little one! I would play with you, but I'm still rather sore from yesterday. I'm sure plenty of my cubs would join you though."

With a flick of his tail, the cubs that had been crowded in the middle of the group or tucked close to their mothers came forward. Even Rosie slid off Alyr's back and greeted her. As most of the adults left to find a spot to rest, Carly and Venus stuck around. Carly was an adult now, but she still joined in on the games with the cubs. Venus watched from her spot nearby, keeping a protective eye on each of the kits and coming to intervene when one of them became to rough. The old broodmother acted as if she had raised every one of these cubs, even though quite a few had come from other prides who had no use for them.

"Oh my, you're going to be a big adolescent soon, you wont be so little anymore little cub ha!" Oil chuckles and listens to what Horizon has to say. "Why of course I can spend time with you Horizon! I sure hope that you pick the pride that is best for you, now, what do you wish that we do today? I've brought someone special along today, you might remember her, the both of you were the bests of friends when you were both little cubbies." Iris, now an Adolescent, peeks out from behind Oil. Once she see's her old friend she jumps out, very happy to meet them again. "Now now Iris, calm down, today we're going to be teaching Horizon how to hunt. Doesn't that sound exciting? I'm sure Iris and I can teach you many things, after all, Iris has gone on many training sessions with the lionesses of my pride while they were out hunting."

Spending the rest of the day hunting, everyone is all tired out by the end and ready for a good nights sleep. Oil says his goodbyes to Queen Nephthys, mentioning how wonderful of a cub Horizon is and how lucky whichever pride is going to be that gets her. He leaves with Iris trailing behind him.

"Sorry for the no appeance yesterday. Something happened." He smiles at the young cub. Somebody's grown quite a bit. Feels like just yesterday we met, right?" He gestures to the waterhole. Lets go for a swim? Its cleaner than digging, y'know." (So sorry for not responding for day 9! Some rather dramatic things happened and it took a while to clear up.)
