- P.O.V. - Flamingpaw

Flamingpaw let out a yowl and pounced on a smaller fox's back, slicing it to shreds before jumping off, slicing at it's ear as she backed away. The fox let out a whine and then growled, coming towards her. She swiped at it again, hissing loudly. The fox whimpered and turned tail, running with it's fluffy tail tucked between it's legs. The larger fox growled and turned to Flamingpaw, noticing her scent was the one they followed. The fox licked it's lips and advanced on her.

- P.O.V. - Foxes

The largest fox watched as it's henchmen were pushed back. 'Weaklings.' the larger fox thought. He turned to the dark furred cat and took in it's scent. 'Ah, the young cat!' It let out a snarl and began to advance on the smaller cat. The other small cat was occupied with the other foxes. The big fox's tail lashed. 'This prey mine.' It let out a loud growl, looking at the puffed up body of the cat. It's hisses reached the fox's ears. 'Strong spirit.. Easy to break.' it thought, pausing for a moment before pouncing.

Shatteredpaw reared on her hind legs batting at all the foxes she could before pouncing on one of the fox's back, inching her way to their neck she bit down hard, hearing the fox whimper as it tried to fling her off. Shatteredpaw got a few good wounds for the fox to remember her by before being flung off into some ferns.



(I love it how the whole camp is just sleeping peacefully while there's a battle raging outside)

(Yeah, I'm pretty sure people have been online but whatever, I guess this could give Shatteredpaw and flamingpaw a type of friendship, seeing as their probably gonna have Trauma)

Shatteredpaw wobbled out of the ferns. She couldn't hear FlamingPaw's growl anymore what happened????? She tried to look for FlamingPaw but she was crowded by foxes "LET ME THROUGH" she growled jumping on their backs and slashing their noses, she stopped mid growl, she didn't see Flamingpaw but the fox leader, growling at something darker fured "FLAMINGPAW" she yelped

- P.O.V. - Flamingpaw

Flamingpaw let out a yelp as the fox's claws tore through her fur, slashing at her legs. She stumbled, her legs bleeding out profusely. She barely heard Shatteredpaw's call through the beating of her heart. 'Gah... It hurts so much.. Need... To protect... Clan.' She growled to herself and rose on shaky legs, her torn limbs weak and bleeding. The large fox only stared at her, it's eyes filled with amusement. Flamingpaw grunted in pain and lashed her tail, trying to stay awake. 'Don't fall asleep... Not yet...' In a burst of strength, she bolted for the fox, jumping up on it and slashing it everywhere. The fox cried out and tried to throw her off, but she clung on. Her teeth connected at the fox's spine, and a loud crack sounded through the clearing. The fox crumpled, landing with her nearly crushed beneath it. Her shredded legs throbbed. One was pinned beneath the body of the fox, near it's mouth. Flamingpaw closed her eyes, panting. Her heart was racing. 'Is this it? Am I going to StarClan?' she thought, her eyes opening. She looked up at the streaks of moonlight that seemed to get blurrier and dotted with darkness. 'At least I protected the clan...'

- P.O.V. - Foxes

The other foxes, upon hearing and seeing their leader fall, whined and whimpered as they escaped through the entrance, scattering and leaving the territory. It was over. They had lost.

Shatteredpaw heard a loud crack "FLAMINGPAW!" She yelled running over to flamingpaw "ok stay right here, AND DON'T GO TO SLEEP " she said the last part loudly knowing flamingpaw can't hear her, she ran off into the forest she jumped over ditches and puddles. Panting she finally found it, a stick, rock, log, and COBWEBS! She sighed in relief before sprinting off again, carrying all the items awkwardly

Flamingpaw's eyes flitted between shadows. Why couldn't she hear anything? Did Shatteredpaw say something? Why wasn't anycat out here..? What happened to them? If only she hadn't gone on that walk... 'I feel sleepy.... Why can't I feel my limbs?' She turned her head towards the warrior's den. Was her mentor watching? Was he still asleep? Why didn't he help her? It hurts so much... Where was Shatteredpaw? Oh... It doesn't matter anymore. 'I need to slee- NO! Stay awake! Oh, but I'm so tired... I DON'T CARE! STAY AWAKE. SOMECAT WILL HELP YOU. DON'T FALL ASLEEP. But I'm so close to StarClan... No.' Flamingpaw turned her head towards the entrance. Where did Shatteredpaw go? Where were the medicine cats? She was obviously hurt. Or was she? She couldn't feel anything below her chest. She looked back at the red fur of the fox that lay atop her. 'Dumb fox...' she thought with a small sigh.

Shatteredpaw ran toward the camp entrance stumbling every now and then, when she burst through the entrance she immediately got to work she put the sick in flamingpaw's mouth, so she didn't scream, then she lifted the fox up with the stick and rock, pulling FlamingPaw out from under the fox, and finally she waded up both legs with cobwebs, with comfrey, for her bones. Shatteredpaw didn't dare take her eyes off flamingpaw, looking for her chest to slightly move, to make sure she was still alive

- P.O.V. - Flamingpaw

Flamingpaw closed her eyes, her chest barely rising and falling as she lay on her side. One of her front legs was completely mangled; it was bent at an odd angle and was ripped to shreds. Her other legs were less damaged. It would cause major scarring, though. Flamingpaw let out a groan as she was pulled out from beneath the fox. Her dark pelt dotted with flame colored spots was bloodied and torn; patches of fur were missing. She opened her eyes slightly to see the blurry figure of Shatteredpaw over her.

Shatteredpaw sighed in relief as she saw flamingpaw open her eyes, flamingpaw was severely damaged, it would be a surprise if she would keep her mangled leg, when the camp awakened they would be surprised to see a hurt apprentice, on the edge of going to starclan and then another, wounded but surviving, Shatteredpaw herself was ok, she had a lot of scratches, one ear was almost gone, she was also dazed from being flung, and most likely forget the fight when she sleeps, or not. Shatteredpaw laid down her head ' I'm not gonna sleep ' she thought to herself

Flamingpaw swallowed and turned her eyes towards Shatteredpaw, opening her mouth. No sound came out for a moment, but finally, she managed to get a few words out.

"You look like crowfood."

She wheezed with a small smile.

Shatteredpaw looked a bit worried " its weird huh" she meowed staring at the camp entrance, and then at the stars "that were alive I mean" she said looking at flamingpaw before heading into the medicine cat den and coming back out with some leaves "eat these " she meowed "there for your cough"
