Flamingpaw was half listening to the conversation. She blinked.

"Can I lay down?"

She blinked again, looking at the herbs before swallowing them, grimacing at the bitter taste.

Corianderthorn stared blankly at the young she-cat's reply, nearly dumbfounded. "Well maybe a genius apprentice like you doesn't need my help then, huh?' she said, then turned around and began sorting herbs for the rest of the clan. "Did anyone else get hurt?"

Flamingpaw watched the medicine cats argue quietly. The sun was beginning to rise. She hoped they'd hurry so her mentor wouldn't see her like this.
