Taka resisted scowling when his father turned eyes on him, though his shoulders stiffened reflexively. His own blue eyes turned away from his father's gaze and he did not confirm or deny his mother's excuse as to their whereabouts. It wasn't that he didn't want to lend credibility to her tale, but if there was one flaw he was unhappy to acknowledge of himself, it was that he was a terrible liar. He thought it best he kept silent.

Lynx took a few steps over to Taka,his eyes staying locked on him. ‘Come on,son. Surely you would tell your father the truth,hm.’ The primal said,his stub flicking towards Dark and his other cubs. What would his oldest son say?

Rika'ni

Rika'ni lets out an amused rumble, watching the young lion try her best to replicate a crouch. "I suppose if you have no other choice, then neither do I." She teases before letting out a sigh, "But if you're to even get close to besting me, you must fix your stance." She swats at Vivi's rump, claws still sheathed, trying to give her a push in the right direction as to fixing her crouch. The older lioness circles the cub, looking for other imperfections.

Even if the adolescent wanted a playful challenge, Rika could not keep her mind off of what could happen if the young one was caught unawares. Or if one of the other lions took it seriously and gravely injured Vivi.

Kebechet

The adolescent trails down from one of the hollowed out dens, blinking the sleep from her eyes. She stretches with a noise that sounds kind of like a mewl before heading off to find her mother or father. Kebechet settles down next to her mother, her tail tip flicking being the only indication that shes excited about something. She smiles up at the older lioness, "Good morning, mother." She says, making a sound that sounds vaguely like a purr. "You seem.. stressed." She tilts her head slightly before grinning and standing to move towards her father, "Welcome home, father!"

Lynx shot a look at Dark. ‘Amir,Amir,Amir. Why even help that soul? He hasn’t got anything from the both of us. My ancestors knew what he was going to become,a weak male lion whom has never grown his mane. And has never been given any primal genes.’Lynx started to explained,eyeing Dark and Amir. With a flick of his stub,he dismissed himself and went to his den.

Wobbling a bit when Rika swatted her rear, Vivi corrected her stance accordingly, her tongue sticking out slightly in concentration. When she felt like her footing was correct, she fixed Rika with a devious look and prepared to pounce a second time, only to stop short as a familiar set of figures returned to camp. The rest of the royal family was back, and man were they a sight to see when they were all together. The sons were handsome, the daughters beautiful beyond compare, though none were more dazzling then Dark Light herself in her personal opinion. Even Lynx, while brutish and intimidating, had his looks going for him.
Utterly starstruck for a few moments, she remained crouched there, openly staring before her seafoam eyes suddenly swung back around to pin Rika'ni with an accusatory look. "Why are you all so ridiculously good looking?!" she demanded, as if Rika was responsible. "Your whole family makes the rest of us look like homeless vagabonds, I mean just look at that guy!" she exclaimed, gesturing to a very scruffy looking pride mate who was the color of dried mud and was busy chewing on an old bone. Said pridemate shot her a nasty look for the comment, which she completely ignored and continued her rant. "And then look at you guys, its like night and day," she finished with a grumble.

Taka felt his pelt prickling with unease when Lynx addressed him directly, but relaxed when Dark redirected his attention. The scowl he was repressing earlier broke through however, when Lynx spoke poorly of his little brother, ridiculing him for being a late bloomer and not having any primal genes. That comment in particular stung him as well, for he had also not inherited any of his father's ancient blood. In fact the only one who had any semblance of it was his littermate. Sure he had wickedly sharp overgrown claws, but that was not considered primal in his eyes. Heaving a long sigh, he glanced down at Darker Light who still stood in front of him, as though he was a cub who still needed protecting, he supposed that was just a mothers way.
"It's fine now Dark, we're all back home," he murmured, giving her shoulder a gentle nudge.

Smiling warmly as her daughters joined her and Hercuperion where they sat, Ophelia would greet them with gentle purr. "Good morning my doves," she crooned, bending to lick the top of Kebechet's head as she sat beside her, tidying a few stray pieces of sleep ruffled fur, meanwhile she brushed her tail affectionately against Boadicea's shoulder. Seeing them both always gave her such a rush of pride at how well they were growing up, especially after how hard she'd had to work to bring them in to this world.
Blinking away the thought, the solid white queen would chuckle at her youngest daughter's comment. "Yes well, your aunt and cousins decided to pay us a little visit this morning, something you would know if you did not sleep the day away," she answered, her tone lightly chastising. "Also darling don't slouch, remember, queen or not, a lioness carries herself with pride," she fussed as she corrected her daughter's posture. Her perfectionist tendencies could be a bit overbearing at times.

Boadicea flicked her tail. She brought her head up and cocked her head and a strong angle. "Dark was here?" She sniffed the ground and scrunched her nose in repulsiveness. "Smells just as I had imagined" she brushed away the scent and nuzzled up against her mother

Lynx entered his den and sat down on his messy nest. He pushed some dried out leaves aside. Were his kin really training? Lynx bared his teeth,holding back a few words. Of course,they wasn’t! Lynx shook his mane before looking at the entrance of his den. If his kin was going to lie,then they have to wait to see what’s coming.

Eregia walked on the evil territory,Tymon following behind the tigon. The area was filled with dead,rotting trees and the scent was horrible. Tymon hissed slightly,his nose twitched. ‘That smell is horrible..’ he muttered as he tried to to keep up with the bigger feline. Could she smell the scent too? Eregia continued to walk,unfazed by the scent that covered their path. ‘Tymon,you have to be more quiet. Evil Lions here are more dangerous than the Good ones!’ Eregia growled softly as she shot the Maine coon a look,what a talker Tymon was. Tymon fell quiet as the two explored deeper into the territory.

Dark walked into the den and sat opposite of Lynx. she was lost in her own thoughts as she munched on a Gazelle carcass. the blood stained her lips, the savory taste enlightened her tastebuds. she let out a purr.


boadicea purred as she looked at her mother standing so very tall above the lands. She tried to replicate it. "I want to rule just like her one day" she said quietly.

Lynx shot a look at Dark. ‘How dumb do you think I am,Dark.’ Lynx suddenly snapped. ‘I knew y’all wasn’t training at all. There was that scent,that one scent..’ he growled under his breath. ‘You was somewhere else. Tell me now where y’all were.’ He demanded,lashing his stub tail.

Dark looked up finishing the bite she had taken. "I'm not telling you, for the kids sake." she said calmly, looking back to her meal and taking another bite.

‘Look at me dead in the eyes,and tell me.’ He growled,stepping closer to the lioness. ‘For the kid’s sake.’ He soon mocked. ‘Then I knew where y’all went,that one scent could let anyone know the answer.’ Lynx stated,his long claws digging at the earth’s floor. ‘It would be best if you told me now,unless.. you want one of your cubs to face a punishment.’ Lynx snickered lightly. He knew how much dark cared about their cubs,but telling her this..would she actually tell him?

‘The gods!’ Lynx roared. ‘I bet you many kings before me had to punish their cubs,for doing the wrong thing.’ Lynx said,his eyes narrowed as he towered the lioness. ‘Every lioness should know that,hm.’ Lynx growled,it was always sickening to him how lionesses are so over protective. ‘Maybe your cubs won’t get a punishment,if you tell me where y’all went.’ He continued to speak,his eyes staying locked on Dark’s.
