She let's out another purr-like sound, "Hello, Boadicea!" Her tail swishes back and forth before she turns her gaze back to the pure white lioness. She looks slightly ashamed at the comment of her sleeping the day away, "Sorry, mama.." She straightens up as her mother fixes her posture. "Yes, ma'am." She leans into her fathers rough grooming motions before tilting her head, "Do you think everything's gonna be okay, father?" She asks, a frown creasing her features.

Rika'ni

She looks surprised as Vivi glares at her like it was Rika's fault some of the pride werent the most.. breathtaking individuals before a laugh bubbles out of her. "You're very bold, Vivi. I like that about you." She sighs slightly, "I'm not sure how we're 'beautiful' as you say.. perhaps its merely genetics. But I hope you know, you are not ugly." Her tail swishes back and forth ever so slightly, gaze floating to her family. "I suppose it's not fair for us to possess such good looks.. but, theres nothing we can do about it."

Eregia went to a small spot and gently laid down,her tail flicking. her gaze stayed on tymon who was sitting around,grooming his long fur. should they leave soon? eregia's gaze softened as she glanced up at the ceiling,perhaps they should stay a bit longer. they had food and water but only for one or two days,that wasn't enough for the both to survive. a sigh escaped her maw,what to do now. eregia sat up onto her hunches and grabbed her skull mask,she placed it on her face. 'Come on,tymon. I think we need to leave,we can't stay here any longer.' Tymon perked his ears and nodded,as he went beside the tigon. 'great,I couldn't stay here any longer anyway.' tymon huffed befoe the two began to walk out of the hole that the two was lead into by Queen Dark,herself. Quickly,eregia nudged tymon into the tall grass. 'go back to the cave,I'll be there soon.' tymon scoffed before turning around,entering the tall grass. the tigon swung her head towards Lynx and Dark,couldn't they see her? eregia pinned her ears. the large brute made a shiver go down her spine,who wouldn't be afraid of him? carefully,the tigon took small steps into the tall grass,her yellow orbs staying on Lynx and Dark. If they notice her now,she had all the time to flee.

Ophelia hummed lightly at Hercuperion's words, holding his gaze for the few moments their eyes made contact before he turned to address their daughters. She watched them fondly, her throat tightening a bit with sudden emotion. Sometimes the sight of her family overwhelmed her with feeling. They were so dear to her, the thought of any harm coming to them made her legs feel weak, and yet as time went on the possibility of it seemed to be growing. Tensions with her sister's pride were only getting worse, not better, not that she expected them to at this point. There was also a sense in the air, a sense of what? She was not sure, but it often set her on edge.
Her king had just returned from his commune at the temples, perhaps he could shed some light on this lingering sense of unease. She would make sure to speak with him about it soon. Flicking her tail, she nuzzled the top of Boadicea head as she cuddled close to her, listening quietly as Kebechet questioned her father. She was curious as to what his answer might be.

Blinking a bit, not expecting Rika's laughter, Vivi would blush and look down at her paws at her next words, pleased with the compliment. "Ahh, you're just saying that, I know I'm a plain jane" she huffed, obviously happy even as she scuffed her paws in the dirt. Lifting her head once more as Rika'ni continued to speak, she offered a shrug. "I suppose its only natural, if you have pretty parents you have pretty babies, it would be more strange if pretty parents had...ah...unfortunate looking kids," she mused, her ears turning thoughtfully. "Anyway I'm allowed to think its unfair, but you are not, that's like spitting in the face of the gods that allowed you to be so pretty ya know? If ya got it flaunt it!" she demanded, as if she was not speaking to the oldest daughter of the royal family, whom she had just been complaining at for simply being good looking.
Suddenly springing to her feet, the smokey furred adolescent would arch her back in a stretch before giving herself a full body shake, causing her pelt to poof out slightly. She was ready to do something, anything fun. She didn't care what it was at this point.

Taka's vivid blue eyes watched as the tigon that his mother had lead away reappeared and was attempting to creep away into the tall grass. He debated on saying anything, his claws tapping against the ground in indecision. He could catch her if he wanted, he knew he could, but did he want to? His mother had gone through the trouble of getting the tigon out of here, but why? He wanted answers. Perhaps though....he could get them without alerting his father. Finally making up his mind. Taka rose to his paws and slipped away from the rest of the pride, aiming to make a wide circle and come out in front of the tigon who was currently attempting to escape.

Lynx glanced over at his oldest son,his gaze rather cold. where were they going? Lynx watched the lion go into the tall grass. he groaned. 'just control your son,we'll deal with this later.' lynx growled,he turned around and went down to the clearing. He had no time to deal with Dark and Taka at the same time. he went to a few lions below and lifted up his paw,demanding a order. 'i want y'all three to go patrol around the territory and watch my son,Taka,he just went somewhere.' The three lions nodded rather quickly as they arose onto their paws,and exited the camp quickly.

Eregia spotted a lion with blue orbs was coming over to her. they looked a bit like Lynx,perhaps that was his son. the tigon stared at them as they stopped in their tracks,looking at them with wide eyes. 'We're leaving right now,no trouble is being caused.' Eregia quickly explained. Was this lion the same as Lynx? Eregia's pelt puffed out slightly,the scent of fear filled the air. 'please gods,don't let this lion kill me..' she muttered,glancing up at the sky quickly.

He nuzzled his cub partly to soothe that worry - she was much too young for such lines before adulthood - and partly to give him time to choose his words, but Hercuperion could only sigh at feeling the weight of his queen's eyes upon him and the once light atmosphere turning thick with worry and tension.

As much as he'd like to swap it all away as if it were just a bothersome fly biting at the ears with some sweeter words... Hercuperion prided himself on being honest even if at times it was more painful doing the right thing than the easier choice, but while would keep certain details from his offspring until they were ready to hear them he wasn't going to start boldfaced filling their ears with rotted marula fruit.

"Kebechet..." He stood up and stepped back to take in both of his daughters and Queen, "You and you're sister must always remember the same lessons your mother and I have taught you both just as we taught your brothers as they are the same lessons that we learned when we were cubs..." He looked deeply into his Queen's bright green eyes in silent apology before continuing. "Lord Anubis was vague as always but... he gave warning of dark times and that we must prepare for what could be coming."

Hercuperion felt no joy in these words nor the dread in his daughters' wide eyes and he could taste the tension rolling off his bride, but again this was the duty of a king as much as it pained him as a father and mate.

"Thankfully, my cubs," he gently smiled, "Inora has been returned to us and is recovering under the watchful eyes of her mother and the healers so all is not as dark and dreary. You both must remember that there's always light no matter how dark the sky may seem - the sun, the moon, and the stars will always shine no matter how black the night or clouds."

Taka said nothing for a few moments, his blue orbs searching her face. His nostrils flared at the bitter scent of her fear and he snorted a bit to clear his nose of it. "Calm down, I'm not going to hurt you, I just want to know what you spoke about with my mother," he rumbled, talking a small step toward her. "That's all, you tell me, I let you be on your way, and we pretend we never saw each other," he continued.

Listening to her mate, Ophelia would feel a chill travel down her spine as he spoke of his trip to Anubis temple and the results of said journey. Dark times were ahead....it could mean anything.
She never understood why these gods were always so cryptic. and she was often skeptical of their warnings and prophecies. She never doubted her King however, he had never lied to her. Not when they were young, and definitely not now. And even though there were times she wished he would, he never lied to their cubs either. If he said there was something coming, she believed him, especially when it coincided with her feelings of unease.
Pushing down her swirling emotions for now, Ophelia would muster a smile as Hercuperion spoke of what they had to be thankful for. "You're father is right my doves, and just as the sun faithfully dawns each day, you can count on us to be there for you," she purred, taking a moment to brush her muzzle against both of her daughters.

“Exactly,” Hercuperion rumbled, posture straight and form tall and broad as he sat up with the sun’s light gleaming off the precious stones and metals in his customary necklace. “Our pride - your pride - your family by blood and bonds will always be here to support you and our ancestors watch over us to guide us on the other side of that light.”

With playful eyes - softening the haunting fires in them to something warm and reassuring and mischievous - Hercuperion grinned toothily and leaned in closer to his daughters.

“Besides,” he spoke in a low mock-secretive tone, “considering just how furious your mother can be when she gets very upset…” He made a show of ‘discreetly’ peeking up at his Queen before continuing with his act, “you really think just any lion will win a fight against all of that on top of your old father providing back up?” He smirked and cheekily plomped a massive paw on each girls’ head the way he’d always done since they were cubs.

“Now I don’t mean to brag but… I think we’ll be quite alright, don’t you think dear?” He turned a roguish grin to his Queen.

Eregia’s tail swayed on the nature’s surface,her eyes wide. ‘Your mother?’ Eregia managed to say. This lion was Dark’s mother? Her eyes scanned the lion in front of her. They did look kinda like dark,with the dark brown pelt and white unders. with a bit of confidence,Eregia sat down onto her hunches and took a deep breath,soon she spoked. ‘Lynx,I suppose that’s your father,has found me and my friend on the territory. He thought we were spies so we were brought into camp.’ Eregia cleared her throat before explaining more. ‘Dark said that she’ll help me and we would’ve had to pretend that she killed me.’ Eregia blinked slowly,her claws digging at the earth’s surface.

Kebechet

The young cub listens quietly as her father speaks, leaning into his nuzzle before nodding. "Yes father." She tilts her head as he answers her mother, the queen's, question. "Father, when can I go with you to the temple?" Kebechet asks, her tail swishing impatiently. She didnt want to seem ungrateful, but she had been waiting since she was a wee little thing, just experiencing the world's wonders.

"Do you think Inora will fully recover?" She asks, her mouth twisting into a frown. Inora was a close friend.. what would she do if the other adolescent died? Kebbie shifts her weight nervously between her front paws. Her worries are washed away as her father looks up at her mother in feigned discreetness, bringing giggles bubbling from her mouth.

"No, father! I think you and mother could defeat a thousand enemies!" She grins, making a purring sound as he plops his paws on her and her sister's heads.

Eregia slowly stood back up onto her paws,her eyes staying locked on the lion who asked the question. 'Your question has been answered. Tell your mother that we're grateful for her help and that she'll not see us again,maybe.' the tigon mumbled the last word as she dipped her head,her tail flicking. swiftly,she turned around and disappeared deeper into the tall grass. Was it true? would eregia be spotted again?

Lynx watched the three lions exit the camp. surely they'll find his son somewhere on the territory..why did he leave in the first place? taka just came back along with his kin,dark,amir and his sister. Lynx squinted his eyes and looked over at Dark,her pelt still looked ruffled by the "fight" between her and the tigon. He clenched his teeth slightly. Wouldn't she clean it by now? His mind filling with thoughts and questions,he went over towards Dark. 'Your son,Taka,he just left the territory. do you know why?' he asked,standing in front of the queen.

`I'm not the one that always starts a fight,Dark.` Lynx growled back,lashing his stub. `but to be honest,I'm shocked you ain't worried about him.` He said,padding after the feline.

She flicked her tail as to show notice to his comment. "You have always started the fight. He is an adult now, and I worry about all of my cubs." she growled just loud enough for Lynx to hear.

`hell,I thought you would force yourself onto the patrol I just sent to find him.` lynx stated. he knew how worried Dark gets about their cubs,even her oldest ones. lynx kept staying tall,flicking his stub.
