Hello! This is a walkthrough of statting a groupie and stuff. It can actually be used for non groupies too so don't let that stop you from reading!

Statting a groupie is what I call a labor of love and dedication. You're starting from the ground up so it's a challenge. More importantly it's very tedious and can make a person pixel broke fast if they're not prepared. Worth it though I promise! Hopefully with this thread more G1's will be higher statted.

I got curious and did a search. Found out that as of 6/11/23 there are only 5 G1 kings that are 8k+ stats. Let that sink in for a minute. The selection of available G1 kings also affects muties like Dorsal Fur , Smilus , Felis, and Ferus. Those mutations don't come in G1. There's no MoD for them either. To introduce new blood into the community G1 kings are important. High stats help you in battle but we'll go more into detail of why later.

I know there's various statting guides with items you can use and stuff but I've yet to see a guide that goes into a lot of detail for one of many ways to go about actually doing it. I occasionally watch chat and i see folks just getting into statting asking various questions sometimes. That gave me the idea of this. It actually reminded me of when I first got interested in stats. Most of this is from me going back to that time and remembering my own first experience and what I wish I knew. For this i'm using my time with Symphonic Melody as well as what I've observed from others. You can use this thread to help plan your own way to high stats. ^_^

I originally got him back in 2019. Didn't really have a big desire to stat him up so I only casually patrolled him. Took a sudden hiatus late that year and returned January 2023. I picked up a interest in statting so this turned into my very first serious attempt. I hit the gas so to speak on patrolling. In 2023 he did a average 16-18 patrols a rollover. I limited my roll days to where I was able to patrol him that often. I suggest you do the same if you're wanting to patrol that much. It'll take longer to finish but it'll be worth it in the end.

This walkthrough goes over the following topics
- lifetime
- Patrolling stage
- Kinged Stage
- Heir time!
- studding
- Items to stock up on
- Making Currency
- Game plan
- Words of encouragement

Before starting you'll find it easier if you have 2 accounts: a "main" and a "side". if you'll be limiting your rollovers I suggest making that account your "side" since you won't use it as often as the other account. If you're new to Lioden you're allowed to have 2. It's greatly encouraged actually so you're safe!

❗WARNINGS❗
Courtesy of Jen (owner of Folklore)

Before jumping into some serious statting it's recommended to test the waters a bit first. That way you know it's a commitment you want to make. Start off with a G2 cub with 1-2k stats. Once kinged it'll give you a good starting point and the cubs will still have fair stats. (Not much can top the feeling of driving down a road going 80mph then suddenly having to stop. Doing a not so serious trial run helps to prevent that.)

Burnout is your biggest enemy. For a full tryhard statter you're going to be spending a lot of your focus on your lion when its rolled. Rollling irregularly helps with life balances and gives time to prep at your own pace.

Love your king. With a full lifespan your king will probably live for multiple real life years. Outside of applicator traits, you're stuck with his looks for the duration of your statter's life. It's recomended to have a king live a full term as a non-statter before making the commitment to ensure you're happy with his looks as well as his average cub output. (Take some time to do a little mass breeding that way you get a better idea of what the cubs could look like. If the cubs appearance turn out unfavorable you still have the chance to pick a different look for your future statter. Don't think about what's popular or anything. Think about what you like since nobody will be looking at him more than you.)

Lifetime

As a sub you have 154 days to patrol your boy.

Once kinged, if you're able to get him to the Primordial Spring in April to age him down 2 years you'll have a total of 9 years 11 months or 119 real life days to stat/level your king up. Ages 8 to 16 is 96 real life days

That's a grand total of 273 real life days to work on his stats max. 274 is his forced retirement. Now that may seem like a lot of time but it really isn't. Those days will go by faster than expected. If you slack off you'll have a hard time catching up to your goal.

If needed it's ok to step away from the game. As long as you don't rollover nothing will change.

I've actually typed up a roll schedule for Symphonic before he was even kinged. If I follow it he won't turn 16 until April or May of 2025. November has piety so that's the only month I'll be rolling him daily. This way I can maximize his potential while also not getting stressed, bored, or burned out.

Patrolling Stage

This is the most important part of your stat project. It's your starting base stat wise. It's tedious but this is where he'll gain the bulk of his stats without having to buy a ton of stuff. To maximize your subs potential it's best to patrol every rollover between the ages of 2 and 14y 10m. You king at 14 years 11 months. At 15 the deathroll starts for non-kings and you could loose all your hard work!

if you set off a patrol just before rollover, its technically better to skip rolling that day because instead waiting out the time to continue patrols, it will be ready at rollover because the timer continues whether you've rolled or not.

Make sure you select 10 tiles. By doing that he'll have the highest chance of being successful.

Do not level your sub! They won't get any stats from it. Once kinged their level will drop back to 1 so it's pointless. Save your EXP items for when they're kinged.

Upon my return I set a goal of 33 stats which lead me to doing 17-18 patrols a rollover. By the time I kinged Symphonic Melody he had 5,207 stats. If you make a similar goal some days you'll fall a little short and other days you'll find yourself going over. Both are ok I promise.

I only used stat items for feeding and playing. Doing so is a good way to counter the skill your sub will get. Symphonic got over 700 stats from just stat items vs his 455 skill. In April I stuffed him with as many Egg Yolk as I could since it was in season. Play every rollover. Outside Egg Yolk season Honeycomb is the best stat food. When using honeycomb play with your sub first with a stat item because honeycomb also fills amusement. When using honeycomb feed every rollover otherwise you loose uses. It fills hunger by 15% so 2 uses can be used a rollover. If you try feeding him say every 3 days you only end up needing only 4 uses vs 6 uses if you had fed him every rollover. Egg yolk fills 3% hunger so you can feed him 7 a day.

With egg yolk you don't necessarily have to feed daily.
1 day - 7 Yolks
2 days - 14 Yolks
3 days - 20 Yolks
4 days - 27 Yolks
Not much of a difference really compared to honeycomb.

If you plan on stocking up on egg yolk to feed daily I suggest you keep enough for 9 days on your sub account at a time and the extra on the account without your sub to freeze until you run out on your sub account. By doing that you can have a maximum of 567 egg yolk at one time designated for your sub. By freezing the bulk you're able to save up enough for 81 rollovers! The chance of anyone going to that length is very low but I still thought it'd be good to know just in case you're determined enough. High failure rate but quite a number of times I got between 11-25 stats from 7 egg yolk! Kinda worth it if you can accept the ones that fail.

Kinged Stage

King your statty sub the morning he turns 14y 11m. He'll de-age down to 8 years old automatically. Timing is critical so king in the morning that way you can spend his first day kinged working on leveling him up.

Every rollover before exploring feed your king otherwise he'll loose hunger which means you lose food stats.

After kinging immediately start using your designated first day saved items like dove feast, Giant tortoise, broken drone, etc. Each time you level up, your energy bar refills so it's important you explore/battle after every individual level. By battling NPCs (Non-playable characters) in general you gain impression too so if you've given your king 50 dove Feast first you're already at Dreamboat. From now on every filled impression bar grants you 5 stats. Keep track of that bar because unlike EXP it stops at 100%. Now 5 stats might seem like very little but if you battle grind it adds up ontop of what you get every new level. The higher level you go the more impression bars you go through before leveling up again.

The Stoic personality is ideal for battle grinding. With it you loose only 7% energy per successful battle instead of 10%. Might not look like much of a difference but that 3% saved adds up fast. The personality is available during the May event via May Personality Changer.

By battling enemies and various encounters you can gain 1-2% impression each time. There's some event encounters that can grant more but that depends on the month. Make sure you read Lioden Wiki. Rarely you'll come across a giraffe encounter in the Watering Hole Zone. If you attack the giraffe you get a carcass and 10% impression.

Unlike EXP items, Dove Feast fills impression by 20% every time. For 100% impression you'd need 5 Feasts.

Leveling wise you want to target at least 1 level up per rollover. More is doable but it's very dependant on the current event, rng and your own energy levels on the day. Also, if you've just kinged him leveling will be a cakewalk but as you gain more levels it'll take more effort.

I don't recommend battling in a zone lower than the highest one you can enter. Since your level would surpass the zones level range you wouldn't get as much EXP as the zone that matches your king/queens current level.

When in battle, the arrows between your king/queen's name and the enemy's name indicates who has more of a upper hand. The more arrows pointing at you the better chances of you winning. More arrows pointing at you means Stats play a big role in those arrows. Pay close attention to what moves are more effective for each enemy. If you need to, write it down in a notebook so you don't forget. Work smart not just hard.
What Wiki says about the arrows: this is determined by your leader's stats, as well as NPC stats. Different opponents display different stat categories and factors. The higher your stat factor is, the bigger the bonus you shall acquire in battle, which will help you with fighting that specific opponent. Note that when your stats are low, your opponent may have better stats, which will help them in the battle against you. The amount of arrows determines how big the bonus or penalty is. If the arrows face your leader's icon and name, it means you have a better stat factor than your opponent; thus, you will be the one that starts the battle.

Your king/queen can also get 2-5 random stats from sparing with one of your subs once a day. One reason why it's good to always keep a sub in your pride.

When you come across half-buried beetle larvae in Explore and push "eat it" there's a small chance of your king/queen getting 1 random stat. Worth a shot at least. Every stat counts.

Player VS Player (PVP) is a way to get Skill and EXP tidbits every rollover. Skill isn't breedable but it does help with PVP.

Gorilla Enclave is another way to get EXP, impression, and energy. The reward list is below. (Copied from Wiki)
Easy: 2 Monkey Teeth, LVL x30 EXP (ex. 300 EXP if level 10), 2% IMP, 20% Energy
Medium: 5 Monkey Teeth, LVL x60 EXP (ex. 600 EXP if level 10), 4% IMP, 40% Energy
Difficult: 7 Monkey Teeth, LVL x90 EXP (ex. 900 EXP if level 10), 6% IMP, 60% Energy
Difficult+: 10 Monkey Teeth, LVL x150 EXP (ex. 1500 EXP if level 10), 10% IMP, 100% Energy

Energy Boosts (added 10/29/23)
I'm adding this section so y'all have an idea of roughly how many energy bars it'll take. I use Hyena butter or Catnip so if you don't do the same results may differ.

If you're going to mass use energy boosts it's best to really push them during events that involve battling. That way you gain more currency and level up your king/queen at the same time. October, off the top of my head, is a good example for this. Depending on the month it's always good to stock up on Hyena butter and/ or Catnip. Luckily I prefer to plan ahead so I'm almost always using energy boosts. On my Challenge Log I've been noting how many boosts, Fermented marula fruit, and impression bars I go through. I tally them up after each level up on the day it was reached. If energy items weren't used for the level you won't see them listed.
To help with timeframe I've made a spreadsheet for a visual. Some months are more ideal for level grinding than others so results may vary month by month.Spreadsheet here. If you don't have the app on your phone or tablet it may want you to download it first.

Heir Time!

There's many ways to go about doing this. Think about what works best for you. Start with if you want to be a clean breeder or dirty. Or if you want to continue your kings bloodline. That's a good point. If you're going for stats it'll be easier to continue the bloodline. You already got a good start with your king so why stop now? If you put in the same effort, each generation will have more stats than the last.

What is Clean and Dirty? Clean means absolutely no inbreeding whatsoever. No matter how far back you go. Occasionally you could see a name reoccurring in the heritage but if it doesn't register on the page as inbreeding or the stats/parents are different then they're 2 different lions. You're able to king your heir and keep your kings name so that's most likely the case. Dirty has 2 meanings:
1. Obviously inbred. Doesn't matter how far back, inbreeding is inbreeding no matter how you slice it.
2. Clean but has so many relatives related to them you might as well call it Russian roulette with breeding if not careful. Ysdaar is a good example of this. He's very popular with the ladies. So much there's some folks who avoid his name.

Since there seems to be more clean breeders than dirty I'll give a clean lined example. You can use this method to keep your kings bloodline going or chose your own method. This is just 1 way after all.

1.) Have a backup sub ready in time to retire your king. If you want to change your kings appearance now is a good time to pick out a good looking lion.
2.) Once your king is about to be forced retired mass breed NCLs. Do that no later than 15 years and 11 months because once he turns 16 you're too late.
3.) When the litters are born pick out the cub you want and train him to 100%. Medlar Fruit doesn't help cubs. Cub training is where the bulk of his ageing up stats come from. Medlar Fruit just gives your adolescent a little boost if cub training didn't go so well. He needs to bet at least 75% prior to turning 2 or else he'll get little to no stats.
4.) If you don't have a sub already and have a male adolescent about to age up let him. That way you can use him to finish training your adolescent heir by sending him out on patrols.
5.) Your adolescent is now a sub! Time to patrol!

Bonus tips:
If you're a stat breeder not too worried about getting a mutie heir, have at least 1 permanent hunting team. You can pick which generation is most ideal for your future heir. Set up your team no later than the day you kinged your boy. If you want to maximize their stats it's best to find 2 year old chased lionesses. They'll be higher than fodder but sometimes really nice looking so worth the extra. When I send my girls out 30 times a rollover they get between 30 and 45 stats on average; they can get skill too so gotta remember that. So far I've estimated that roughly 1/4 of the stats from hunting end up being skill. It's not exact but a ballpark observation. If you choose this route with NCLs, between your king and hunting team, you'll be looking at some statty G2 litters to pick your next beefy heir from to patrol!
GMO chickens are your best friend. If you can find them for under 100sb grab them! You can only give each lioness 1 GMO chicken a rollover since they fill up the hunger bar. Don't get more than 9 per hunter at a time! First 10 hunts of the day are free, second 10 is 100sb for each hunter, 3rd set of 10 is 300sb per hunter. If your goal is 30 hunts a rollover those chickens will save you a lot of SB over time. It'll take you 15 hours to complete 30 hunts if you set a timer.
When not in use burry those suckers. The market for GMO Chickens fluctuates like you won't believe so keep them safe. Sometimes you'll find some as low as 40sb while other times the cheapest is 300sb. Watch branches when you can to keep track of prices.

If you're not going to continue your king's bloodline then once you king him immediately look for an heir. Start patrolling your heir asap once acquired. If you want to patrol him his entire sub life also get a backup sub. Try to have them be the same age if possible. The backup will give you more time to patrol your heir before kinging.

Studding

Highly recommend setting your fertility limit to a minimum of 20% to cut energy waste. Anyone with a lower fertility lioness can bypass this restriction automatically by using any form of fertility boost, Black stallion or angelic blessing, the latter two also maintain that tiny mut boost for 1% ferts.

I don't know about you but my main focus is preserving my kings energy for explore. Symphonic isn't public but I'm still mass breeding. I look for NCLs in heat in the TC. You can claim them in heat yourself if you're dreamboat but you won't get the girl every time. Buying from the TC makes up for that. The high statted G2 cubs are in fairly high demand if they're mutated or have a special base. Especially if the base is breed only. Right now it's very uncommon to see a groupie patrolled more than 10 times a rollover so the high statted G2 cubs are limited to the small number of bloodlines. Now most aren't due to various reasons. If your boy isn't public you can make up for it this way. Find a value that works for you and can reliably sustain your training costs. Be firm with your pricing and dont let people make demands or dismiss you.
I don't have much trouble selling Symphonic Melody's G2 Mosaic cubs with 1k-1.2k stats for 30
Jenday's Folklore G2 Frail cubs are selling well at 50 and that fella's at 11.5k stats and counting.

At some point, your statty g2s will be worth more than 1gb per cub. At this point its reasonably sustainable to start preparing a ton of crb ncls before each roll, as fails will return the sunk cost and sucesses will boost your income!
I've been selling my G2 1-1.2k non-mutated cubs for at least 4
It may take more than 24 real life days to sell cubs. If you're rolling your statty boy monthly you can slow down the cubs ageing by keeping them there. You'll just have to put the trades back up when you rollover. Don't get discouraged if they don't sell fast. Folks can be picky and at the moment your cubs might not be what they need/want but if given more time they might be for another person. Don't feel pressured to lower your prices due to purely a lack of sales. Timing is everything so chin up.

If you do decide to make yours public be prepared for potentially a good number of requests. If you're easily flustered or have anxiety I don't suggest doing so because the more desirable your king is the more people will want to use him. Some folks can be rude or pushy. If you roll infrequently they'll be asking when you'll roll again until you do. Even if you have all the facts layed out they could still ask when you'll roll anyway. In short, be prepared to keep repeating yourself. Think carefully if you want to offer traditional breeding. That's when things can easily get crazy when you least expect it. If your groupie king is starting at 5k stats I recommend seeing how well requests are at 4gb. If they're coming in strong still after some time has passed you can bump it up a little more. It'll take trial and error to find the sweet spot. Also keep in mind you'll need to increase the price anyway as your kings stats increase.

Little privacy please?
If you do decide to make your king/queen private there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If folks don't like being unable to stud then that's their problem. Might sound mean but it's the truth. You have the right to decide. By making yours private it means not having to stick to a strict schedule, remembering to advertise studding while you're busy leveling, and make sure you've got your days right. If you're logging your progress just make sure to at least put down their age for the rollover. As a added bonus it might make the cubs you do sell more desired verses while being public. Clean breeders like getting their paws on brand new lines. (I know from personal experience. Lol)

All about that Muk!
Ok so you know the only way to get a Ferus without either parent being one is to use a Mukombero (Muk for short) and breed your girl at night. If your King/Queen is a G1 statter that could mean the occasional Muk stud request. Some choose to not accept such requests and some do. Don't be afraid to bump up the stud fee for Muk requests. Around 50gb is relatively fair considering a high stat ,1k+, G1 (and overall G2) Ferus can easily go for hundreds of GB.

Dorsal Fur
This section is for those reading who have a King/Queen/heir with the mutation. Dorsal Fur is said to be one of the most difficult natural passing mutations that can be kinged. This is because only cubs born with the Crested mane shape get the roll for passing. From my understanding, cubs born with a different mane shape don't even get the roll. That explains the low pass rate. The more folks know this the better.

Items to Stock up on

only to be used when kinged:
Experience: Broken Drone , Coconut, Giant Tortoise
Energy: Roasted Lamb, Red Bull, Meat Pie, Energy Boost, Fermented Marula Fruit
Impression: Dove Feast

For both king and sub stage:
Amusement stat items: Ostrich Fluff , Lovebird Plumage , Kudu Horn , Dry Psalm Leaf , Flamingo Legs , Camel Toes
Food stat items: Honeycomb & Egg Yolk

Dove Feast - Feburary crafting, Gorilla Enclave, Neutral October Shop

Broken drone - Rare explore encounters , January Boneyard , August Peddler Shop.

Giant Tortoise - Jannuary Boneyard, May Champion Shop , November Shaman Shop , Gorilla Enclave

Roasted Lamb - April Bunny shop & Gorilla Enclave

Red Bull - May Champion Shop & September Prophet Shop

Fermented Marula Fruit - Various explore encounters & Neutral October shop

Ostrich Fluff , Lovebird Plumage , Kudu Horn , Flamingo Legs , Camel Toes - Feburary event shops

Dry Palm Leaf - April Bunny shop

Egg yolk - April shop

Honeycomb - Serengeti Shuffle , Slot machine , Feburary Flirt shop , and Gorilla Enclave

Energy Boost - Oasis

Food stat items like honeycomb and Egg Yolk need to be stored with a solid plan. If you buy too many you might end up wasting them. They're good for 9 rollovers before rotting; day 10 they rot. For those set up GB/SB savings bundles in advance. I know it'll seriously be tempting to use those beetles seemingly collecting dust but resist the urge to do so. You'll regret it when it matters. Trust me. If it's your dream to make leaderboard at least once in your time playing you'll need those beetles.

All above can easily be acquired by hosting raffles if not just by gathering the event currency. It's always good to hit the ground running so spend your time patrolling gathering up these items on the side minus food items. If you got big ticket items to raffle don't be afraid to host it in the forum. Just plan ahead so you're both mentally and emotionally prepared.

Outside Feburary and October Dove Feast can get a bit pricey but you can host raffles and make it a item ticket. You can also have Speckled Pigeon be a ticket item too. In February it takes 10 speckled pigeon to craft 1 Dove Feast. They don't expire so between Feburary you can gradually collect them. Just make sure to set 50 Dove Feast aside for your heir to make him Dreamboat his first day kinged.

Making Currency

The occasional roller:
If you occasionally roll both accounts for one reason or another it might be difficult gathering funds. If this is you it might be a good idea to make your king a public stud if you're up for the challenge. He'll potentially turn a lot of heads depending on his stats and traits. Down the road just expect some breeders to complain about his cub count and relatives. Remember, you literally can't please everyone. Focus on your goal and don't let the unpleasantness get to you. Don't forget, those who sent the requests chose to do so on their own.

Everyone else:
If you roll your statty king occasionally but your other account more often then I suggest taking full advantage of having 2 accounts. Have the account with your statty king/queen be your side. Your more active account can be your main. Using your main account participate in the monthly events and sell the desirable items later in the year. That's the easiest and best way to fund your stat project. To remove the temptation of selling your event stuff too early it would be a good idea to store them on your side. It's good to remember that breeding items and apps usually sell the best. Try making that the top of your event shopping list. Don't forget to save some event currency for yourself if you like anything in the shop! You're working hard so it's ok to treat yourself every now and then as long as you don't go overboard. ^_^

Besides event items you can make currency by selling regular items. 100 uses of food usually sells for 1GB. Same with amusement items too. If you're battle grinding you're going to find your hoard filled with various items before you know it. Some explore stuff isn't worth selling unless crafted into a item. Craft what you can and sell when the price is satisfactory. Keep track of Branch and TC prices. Branches will give you a better price range since items are listed from lowest price to highest. Some items are worth more depending on the month. Keep track of price patterns if you got the time. Make a note of the fluctuation patterns if it helps you remember.

Use stud requests and cubs of your main to help fund your stat project too. Breed only traits seem to attract more folks. There's folks who breed for stats and those who breed for looks. Even if you breed karma fodder it's still keeping a flow of currency coming in. Some folks choose to set their sights on the karma leaderboard.

If you set your main king/queens personality to patient and battle with them they'll get a extra 5 for every battle won. Not much of a boost but if you got some free time and energy it helps fund your project on your side. Save your energy items for your side! If you got a day where you're at home bored with not much to do and don't feel like going outside you can come back every 15 minutes and explore 10%. Even if you find a enemy at 1% energy you can still battle.

Game Plan

Ok so you know the general basics and what to possibly expect. Now it's time to come up with a game plan! Think about how often you rollover and how to utilize both accounts. What events you plan to focus on the most. What items you're wanting to stock up on. The inner great Egg yolk debate. That kind of stuff. Oh and make sure you plan around your life. Just putting that out there. Keep in mind time zone difference can affect your goal depending where you are in the world.

If you're serious about statting this isn't suitable for casual players. It's best if you participate in the month events. Especially Feburary, March, July, August, September, and October. Feburary is your pixel wallet's friend. It's very easy to get event currency. July is great for level grinding because you can use energy boosts to battle regular explore and gather meteorite shards then turn around and use the shards to battle in the celestial explore at night.

March has some encounters that lower your kings hunger. Watch that hunger bar because you can sneak in some extra honeycomb/yolk.

November is one of the main events you want to roll your statty boy/girl daily if you can. I cannot stress this enough. Here's why: Piety. Every rollover you can do a quest for each Shaman. There's 3 total. For each completed quest you get 2-3 Piety which adds up to 6-9 a day. There's 30 days in November so 180-270 Piety total. You can exchange the Piety for stats. The best deal is the 12 Piety for +15 stats. If you complete 3 quests a day without fail, your king/queen will get 225-330 random stats. Sounds nice right?
Wiki November Event Guide
The items you need to stock up on before the event are the following: Ubhubhubhu , Nut Grass , Buchu , Uqume , Uzara , Umganu , Dream root , Iboga Root , Marula Fruit , Uvuma-Omhlope , Imphepho , Lion skull. During the event prices will spike so make sure you start stocking up as soon as you can. If you end up with too much you can easily sell them during the event.

July Is another good event to roll your statty king/Queen but only after tier 3 of the "Meteorite Shards collected" bar is unlocked. Why you might ask? The Celestial Portal. Once the 3rd tier is unlocked you can send up to 44 adult lions through it a rollover and get a reward for each lion.
the rewards per lion is 1 random option from the list: 30% energy , 30 , 3% impression, or EXP (Level X 20)

I mentioned about my patrol plan. From my experience I was able to patrol my sub a total of 2,218 times his entire sub life. That's a average of 14-15 times a rollover. That got him a nice 4,361 stats in the end. 455 of those stats was skill. That'll give you an idea of what patrolling that many times a rollover looks like stat wise. Now you could get more or less since stats from patrolling are random.

I've patrolled multiple subs 10+ times a RO and have noticed a stat pattern. On average you get close/around 2x more stats than the number of times you patrol. Look above and you can see it. By using that knowledge you can plan a minimum stat goal for patrolling not counting stat items. As a sub Symphonic Melody mainly ate honeycomb. It has a better success rate and is easier on the pixel wallet.

Once kinged you'll get most of your stats from leveling and impression. Remember that.

Only if you can afford it: Jen recommends stocking up on 50 Dove Feast between rollovers. If you do that, your king/queen will get a extra 4,750-5,950 stats just from a daily use of 50 Dove Feasts! Out of season they go for 1-2gb but if you can snag them for less pounce on the opportunity. This option is recommended only for those who are event focused because it gets expensive real fast.

Definitely stock up on energy boosts and lucky feet as if your pixel life depends on it because after level 20 EXP items become pointless due to how many you're going to need. It'll be cheaper to just get a energy boost. If you kinged your boy/girl at 5k stats you'll find it easier to win battles. Some folks may argue stats don't make much of a difference but take it from someone who casually bulldozed through 32 levels within 5 rollovers after starting out with 5,207 stats. My main , Apocalyptica, currently has less than 1k stats and is level 18. Battling is more difficult on my main than my side. High stats do help. Of course you'll loose some battles still but that'll happen less often.

With catnip I'm able to win 10 or more battles per energy boost. Definently more if I use a lucky foot for the bull elephant, bull crocodile, Black Mamba, and other tough animals. After level 20 you'll gain roughly 300 EXP on average per battle. After level 30 it'll be a rough average estimate of around 350-400. To figure out how many boosts you'll need to finish a level you can divide the EXP required for the next level by 300 or so and that'll give you a ballpark number of how many enemies you need to battle. Divide the guessed number of enemies by 10 and you get your estimated number of boosts more or less. Keep in mind you'll occasionally get encounters that give you EXP without battling a animal. Same with Impression too so pay attention to all non-battle encounters that way you know when the bars are full. There's also occasional encounters that give you small energy tidbits.
Thalath {Side} (#43831) informed me that they average 3% EXP per 100% energy. 2% if they're unlucky with battles/encounters and 4% if they're very lucky. Their king is currently level 60 now and they haven't noticed a change so far. It seems to plateau at a certain level and stays at about 3% per 100% energy during every level cleared as long as battles and encounters are favorable. They've been battling every enemy they come across.

[Sheets Doc link] I honestly don't remember looking at this sheets document but it's in my history and it has the EXP required for levels 2-100 listed. (If this is yours please let me know so I can credit you)

Keep in mind It's easier to save up Energy boosts while your boy is at the patrolling stage. Otherwise you might find yourself running around trying to gather funds for more.

I wasn't able to stock up on a lot of EXP items so Symphonic didn't get much of a level boost. Only up to level 2 or 3. For levels 4 - 32 I used about 450 energy boosts total when paired with catnip and the occasional lucky foot as needed. The hard enemies give you a lot more EXP so save your feet for those suckers. I'm talking 400-800+ EXP and less than 900EXP. When Symponic was around level 35 I started very rarely getting 900-1,000 EXP from the tough animals. They were like the Bull Crocodile and stuff in the Watering hole zone. Rare but very helpful!

Best to save any EXP items after level 20 you collect for your future heir. The more levels you clear on his first day the more he'll clear in his life. The higher levels will of course take more time and boosts. it's best to reach level 20 as soon as possible and save up as many EXP items as you can.

stat breakdown
- Patrolling: 0-10 stats a Patrol
- Boaball: 238-476 (play daily!)
- From Piety each November: 225-330
- Daily 50 Dove Feast: 4,750-5,950
- Level 2-30: 928
- Levels 31-40: 710
- Levels 41-50: 910
- levels 51-60: 1,110
- levels 61-70: 1,310
- levels 71-80: 1,510
- levels 81-90: 1,710
- levels 91-100: 1,910
if you make it to 100 your king will get 10,098 stats from leveling alone. Woohoo!

Words of Encouragement

This is for days you feel down , tired, or maybe stressed even over your project. It could also be a friendly reminder to stop and take a breath or even ask for help.

Some days might be harder than others but remember how happy you'll be once you meet your goal. It'll make everything worth it! You'll feel a strong sense of accomplishment. Just remember to do things at your own pace.

it's ok to dread rolling over. Step away from the game and find something fun and stress free to do. Even if it's as simple as taking a walk in the nearest park. Some fresh air and sunshine might help lighten your spirit. You'll have a easier time enjoying the game once you feel like it. You're only human!

Don't be too eager to please everyone. This is your project not theirs. Not everyone will understand your reasoning. Don't expect them to otherwise you might be disappointed. You're doing this for yourself.

Stuck on something? Look at the leaderboard and ask around. Most folks don't mind answering questions or lending a ear. If your goal is high stats talk to those who have statty kings already. Make sure they've rolled that day. A good indicator is energy loss or a blue Roasted Lamb and Red Bull in use banner above their king/queen. Sometimes you might see them in the chat box talking too.

You got this! Once you make a good plan slowly everything will fall into place as you follow it. If it doesn't that's ok too. As long as you try your best you shouldn't have regrets over it. Just try again next round!

This is really helpful, I've just started on my stat journey with this guy https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794194096804
Love how in-depth you've gone

Ooo I love the overgrown claw mutation. I wish you all the best luck with your stat journey! I'm so happy you find this useful. This is my first completed guide so I honestly wasn't sure if I put enough info into it. I still might edit it occasionally as I learn and/or figure out more. ^_^

This is actually legitimately a good guide. I looked at this because I was curious; I've seen a lot of stat guides over the years and this one is probably the best.

To add on, you already explained roughly how much EXP is gained but as a bite-sized explanation, I'd like to add in that I average ~3% EXP per 100% energy. 2% if I'm unlucky with battles/encounters 4% if I'm very lucky. I'm level 60 now and it hasn't changed as far as I can tell. It seemed to have plateaued at a certain level and has stayed about 3% per 100% energy every level, assuming I'm getting good encounters and obviously fighting every single enemy as you should.

Also, you should generally use the Stoic personality available from this month's event for training your king. It makes successful battles take 7% energy instead of 10% and it adds up massively over time. It is the best personality to use.

Also, unless I missed it, you didn't mention Dove Feasts, which are also really good. Also obnoxiously expensive, but it's a decent amount of stats especially considering how much Impression actually gives you over time. +5 every 100% Imp which happens a lot as Imp is a flat percentage and doesn't scale like exp. A Dove Feast will always give 20% impression, unlike EXP items which scale.

(I mean, it scales, but you will never get less than 1% impression per fight, plus imp from encounters)

Thank you Thalath. I believe the lack of in depth guides could possibly factor into why there's not many high statters. Hopefully this'll encourage more to at least give it a try. ^_^

The EXP percentage and Stoic personality mention is great! I'll incorporate it into the guide later when I have more sitdown time! I got a couple errands to run this morning.

I briefly mentioned Dove feast in the king section but forgot to put it in the items section. Just added it to the list. They're expensive but personally I've been putting speckled pidgeon as a item ticket option in my raffles to stock up for next February. I'll add that idea to the guide too later.

Done editing for now Thalath. I did a name mentioning for the EXP part since it's by your personal experience. You mentioning personality also reminded me about the Patient personality. For getting currency that'll be good for the main account. A 5sb bonus per battle won is better than nothing. ^_^

I also wanted to bring up (once kinged) PVP for stats, idk if that's worth the energy though
