the cleft palate dies due to malnourishment since it can't drink the milk due to it spilling BUt the "Gooder" the personality is the higher the chance of her covering the cleft so the cleftie can drink. with good being the highest at 100% and evil is the lowest at 0.1%. |

I am not sure what your whole idea is, ie. what this good vs. evil personality thing would be, but no, no support. Also for the reasons I and others have mentioned in the conjoined cubs idea thread. 0 players like this post! Like? |

That makes no sense... Perhaps google cleft palate at your own risk (it's not good imagery). It's not just the front, it's the whole palate that's split, which is inside the mouth. Covering it would not help... I'm with Paipa, I have no clue what your idea is. 3 players like this post! Like? |

This is part of a crusade it seems to get lethals made into "non-lethals" - I've seen Conjoined Cubs, Harlequin Ichthyosis (made by the same OP where they concluded that the mother would "chew off the thickened skin"), and now this. Lethals are lethal for a reason. Absolutely no support, and as Mots said - cleft palette is literally a malformed upper palette where not just the lip is affected, stick your finger in your mouth and feel the top, feel that really hard, rough piece of cartlidge? In cleft palette its split to varying degrees, and can cause them to aspirate. There would be no way for a lion to fit their paw in their cubs mouth and a teat for a start. An absolutely unethical idea. 11 players like this post! Like? Edited on 03/08/23 @ 15:34:43 by Fraekinn {7.7k Hexa Dawn Pie} (#57572) |

no she wouldn't put her paw in the cubs mouth. she'd put it on the cleft. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Unfortunately I dont think it matters. Cleft palette has to due with a mouth deformity that wont allow a cub to suckle. So they wouldn't be able to drink the mothers milk at all. That is why its lethal. 4 players like this post! Like? |

i'm not necessarily against lethals living rarely just because the sad baby trophies bum me out, but this answer wouldn't be possible due to the very nature of the cleft palate, like demonstrated above. custom decor and lore are options to remedy the sadness of it all because i dont think they'll ever change or add to these pre-existing lethals. 2 players like this post! Custom decors would be the answer to a lot of the "make lethals live!1!1!1!" topics, and whoever made them would probably make a bomb off them - especially as translucent jellyfish decors. 4 players like this post! Like? |

put something in their mouth ig? and the cleft for the mutation in this game is visible on the face but not for the kitten. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I would agree. its actually a super interesting idea, just not as a mutation. I might try that tbh 0 players like this post! Like? |

Thats because clefts have varying degrees of intensity - a facial cleft is actually more severe that what the kitten has, as it would still have the roof of its mouth split, but also no way to make a seal to suckle either. 2 players like this post! Like? |

the palette is the roof od your mouth. So a cleft pallete is as such. On the inside of your mouth, on the roof of your mout. it may be visible in lioden art, but it still involved the inside of the mouth. edit: sorry i seem to be posting the same time, so i keep repeating things. 2 players like this post!
