Abbi ran into the room. "Flora!" She smiled and ran to hug her. "You're awake!"

Flora backed up, still in fear. “What happened? Where am I?”

"Were safe, don't worry." Abbi frowned. "You were attacked by zombies while we were out hunting, we've been caring for you and now your awake." Abbi smiled and sat down on the bed.
"Cupcake," She said, "How 𝙖𝙧𝙚 you planning on finding your family?"

Flora attempted to avoid the question. “Where are we? Are Bastion and Jack okay?”

"I don't know, they were fighting off more zombies while i escaped with you." Abbi said.

Flora sat down on one of the beds and pulled her legs to her chest. “We should make sure they’re ok- where are we? Is this a different bunker?” Flora asked as she looked around for her bags

Abbi was about to answer when a knock was heard on the door. "Are you alright in there?" A woman's voice said.
Flora recognised the voice somehow, but she couldn't recall who it belonged to. The door open and in stepped a tall woman.

That face was familiar, but she was still nervous and moved closer to Abbi. “Who is that?” She whispered.

"I'm Laura Herrick, you look familiar.." The woman stepped closer. Flora looked at her. Then the realisation struck her at that this was her sister-in law! Laura hugged Flora, seemingly have had realised this too. "Flora!" A tear came from Laura's eye.

Flora was crying, “Laura?? You’re alive! You’re- I thought you-“ flora hugged her back and laughed.

(I got the idea for something- what if Floras family was never put in a safe bunker and actually died a long time ago, but Flora doesn’t know how to handle that? I just wanna make sure that’s ok with you before I make a big change to the story lol!)

"I can't believe you're here!" Laura smiled. "I thought you-" Laura swallowed. "I thought you died."
Flora changed the subject. "What happend to everyone else?" she asked, "Are they here?"
Laura frowned. "Oh, Flora.." Laura said.

Flora knew already what she was going to say. But she refused to believe it. So she just smiled and changed the subject. “Look! I uh… got bit and we had to cut my arm off.” She held up what was left of her arm. Laura was speechless.

"Oh my- Is it okay?! Are you in pain?!" Laura had been a nurse before the infection. "Let me see." Flora has hesitant
but she let Laura look. Laura slowly unravelled the many layers of bandages which were filthy and broken by now. Flora and Abbi winced at the sight of the disgusting half-healed stump that was her arm. Laura continued to disinfect the wound and wrap it in fresh bandages. "You did a decent job, considering you have no experience." Laura smirked.
Flora was still curious about exactly where they were.

Flora smiled at Laura and looked around the bunker some more to take her mind off the pain. It was pretty big for a bunker, and very clean too. There was a couple other beds next to the one she was on and it looked like a recycled hospital bed. “So, where are we? And how many zombies were there? Jack and Bastion looked capable but two people can only defend themselves for so long and-“ she remembered suddenly when the bunker collapsed and immediately felt bad. “Oh gosh I completely destroyed their bunker didn’t I?”
