Juno nodded. "I'm afraid the things I usually find interesting or entertaining won't be that entertaining for you," he said giving her a soft sad smile. "Though, I have some toys," he then smiled before he got up to trot off into the house to look for all the tug toys, balls, bones and squeaky toys his owner had bought for him.

Dahlia scrunched up her nose, slightly offended by his words. She simply trailed after him instead of replying. "Do you play very often?" She asked, gazing at him. "You seem a bit too regal and majestic to participate in such low class activities." She muttered, sitting down once she entered the house. "I’m sorry. Your life just seems a bit.. boring without your owner."

Juno was slightly taken a back by her words. He hadn't meant to offend her, but he honestly didn't think that she would like to just watch people passing by wondering what kind of lives they had or observe when the humans trained their dogs. She also didn't think she would enjoy running round aimlessly and chasing the invisible lure that he could imagine. However, Juno caught her muttering about he appearing to be better than everyone else, and that really hurt.

"I'm sorry that I'm not a playful dog," Juno said. "I play so rarely that I barely even remember how to do it," he told her. "I'm champion show dog who also does dog racing and occasionally hunting. Those activities are done with my owner and they take majority of my time. Sometimes, when I'm taking time off from those things, my owner takes me to explore the mountains and woods far away from here," he said. He didn't know what he could do to keep her entertained while she stayed here. He had planned on just waiting for his owner's return without really thinking about was it boring or not.

Dahlia flicked her bushy tail, her folded ears turning towards the borzoi as he spoke to her. She sighed and shook her head. "No. I apologize for my words. It isn’t your job to keep me occupied. It.. it’s my mistake. We live two very different lives. I think I need to.. leave. For now anyway. I'll return at some point. This just isn’t what I’m used to at all. I’m used to running around all day, searching and tracking down food. Since it’s so easy to find I’m gaining more energy than I’m using. I appreciate you for trying Juno."

Juno didn't stop her from leaving nor did he feel particularly sad about it. He knew that they were two very different individuals that struggled greatly to find common ground and common interests. He bid her a good day before deciding to return inside the house. In the house Juno went into his owner's bedroom. He picked up one of his bones and jumped on his owner's bed to gnaw it while anxiously waiting for his return.

Dahlia padded out, sliding underneath the fence. She didn’t spare a glance back, despite her wanting to. Her paw was beginning to bother her a bit more. She couldn’t do much about it, licking at it once she found a somewhat sheltered spot in a nearby alleyway. She sighed, scratching at her shoulder with a hind paw. She then stood and limped off. She didn’t have a clue where she was going, or what she would do.

The female ventured off through the city, staying as far as possible from any human. She eventually made it somewhere that was unfamiliar to her. She looked around, not having paid attention while she was walking. Of course, she was lost. She shook her head and frowned, crawling underneath a parked car. She shivered slightly, staring out. She had to figure this out somehow.

As Juno was gnawing his bone, he found his thoughts constantly wander towards his owner. Would he return back home? It had been hours already... He didn't know how long he was still going to take, but the Borzoi was growing anxious. He whined softly looking towards the window before he heard a sound of the front gate opening and someone entering to the yard. The male felt his heart beating fast as he hopped down from the bed to go to see who had chosen to enter into his territory. However, the closer he got, the clearer it became that the man who had entered was someone he already knew.

Eventually, the female built up the courage to re-emerge from under the car. She sniffed around, trying to find a familiar place or scent. Then she found it. The scent of a hot dog cart that set up near her home. She wagged her tail and limped after it. She had to return and apologize for Juno. To atleast try and make amends with the male. She sighed, slowing down. She padded towards the borzoi’s home, but paused as she heard a human. She hid beside the fence, looking around.

Juno barked when he saw the man who had came to visit them. It was his owner’s brother, the one who had often came to watch over him and had even ran with him in the show rings before. His tail wagged as he greeted the man barely even able to stay on the ground like he had been taught to.

“Hello there, what a good boy you are. I trust that nothing has happened while my brother has been away, hmm?” The man said as he gave Juno a treat patting him on the head few times. The man then moved to open the main door walking in. Juno who had his focus completely on his owner’s brother, didn’t notice Dahlia close by.

Dahlia flicked her ears back as she heard Juno’s bark. Though they perked as she could hear the tone in the man’s voice. Happy. Juno seemed happy too. His scent wasn’t as gloomy as it was before. She looked around, listening to the fading footsteps. The female Then slid underneath the fence, stalking by the house and over to the dog house. I go inside of it, laying down. I didn’t want to disturb Juno for now.

Juno barked as he followed the man inside wagging his tail when the man fed him. "You probably worry about my brother, huh? Don't fear, he will come home soon, you'll just have to spend few days with me. He told me that I should take you to hike to give you proper exercise," the man said to the dog speaking to it like it would be an another human. After their little talk, the man opened the TV. "But first I'll have a soccer game to watch, we can go after that," he said before shifting his whole focus on the box where humans were moving and kicking ball.

Juno tilted his head and almost huffed. All the humans included in his life seemed to be interested in that little box. Deciding that he was bored inside, Juno headed into the garden. If this one was anything similar to his brother, the wait would be really long...

Dahlia quietly laid in the dog house, listening closely to every single little sound. One caught her attention more than the rest. A bird was flapping around the dog house. She slightly wagged her tail, launching herself out and quickly killing the bird. She was quite proud of herself, wagging her tail and sitting down outside of her temporary home.

Her ears perked and swiveled as she heard the familiar dog’s paw steps. She limped over to him. "Juno! I.. I apologize for everything. I caught you a bird." She set it down infront of him.

Juno was surprised to actually see Dahlia there in the garden, he had been so focused on his owner's brother that he had't even noticed her. "What are you apologizing for?" he asked tilting his head slightly as he looked at the female. "Oh that's a lovely bird," he gave her a tiny smile. "However, you really should keep off of your paw, the healing progress will only drag longer the more you keep on putting weight on it," he said looking at her.

"Well.. I suppose just leaving like I did. It isn’t your fault we’re so different. But I want to try and be your.. friend, atleast. I wanna try and do what you do. Watch passing humans and whatnot." Dahlia said, wagging her tail excitedly. She was eager to impress.
"I don’t catch birds very often. Pigeons are much easier, but they don’t taste very good. I will, that’s why I want to lay with you and watch the humans and their pets." She grinned.
