Juno sat down a few meters away from her to give her some space. "Not everything is always like it seems at the first glance," he said. "Not all pet dogs are pampered and spoiled or won't know of struggles you face daily and how the life would be," he said. "However, why am I doing this? Because why not? Why not give something you have to a less fortunate soul, it doesn't kill me, but it might change someone's life," he replied, but didn't made any movements of trying to snatch the bone back. He focused his attention tho the surroundings to allow her to eat in peace, he didn't want to provoke her. For some reason seeing her wagging her tail so happily... it had made his icy heart feel warmth even once.

"And yet, was I wrong? That you have a lovely life? Look at this thing." Dahlia nudged it with her nose. "I’ve never even seen anything like it!" She wagged her tail again, laying down to continue her meal. "This is probably the biggest meal I’ve ever had!" She was excited, her rear wiggling happily along with her tail. She eventually finished the bone, licking her maw.

Juno lifted his gaze up to the sky. "I might be one of the lucky ones," he reluctantly admitted his dark eyes hiding the unimaginable sadness when the thought about his sister. However, he quickly hid those thoughts behind the walls of ice. "I'm glad that you enjoyed it, my owner brought it back just today," he told her with a small smile. "Can I get you anything else?" he asked like a proper gentleman.

"I think you are. But atleast some dogs get to live a life like yours. I’m happy knowing that some of us get that treatment." Dahlia gave him a weak smile, sniffing around for any remnants of her meal. "Don’t need anymore help." She sat down, scratching her ear. "I’ll figure it out." At times, she was far too stubborn to ask for much help. "Besides, I’m sure your.. owner.. misses you."

Juno gave her a small smile too. "My owner... he is watching a sports game currently," the male chuckled softly. "I have never understood the point in watching tiny people running in that small box," he said, "It's much nicer to be one who does the running," Juno said looking at her. She sure seemed dirty and her fur was rather unkempt compared to his pristine and perfectly combed one. However, she was still a dog. "Come by once in a while, if you want to, I'll be sure to try to give you something better than those dumpsters can offer," Juno said. He didn't know why exactly he was helping her, but seeing her so happy, it made his heart happy.

The truth was that even though Juno seemed to have it all, a loving home and plenty of food, he was very lonely dog trapped into his sadness and grief. He did everything to please his owner, trying to repay his kindness, still there were only so many things that brought joy into his life.

"Ah.. I think I know sports. Is sports the thing where they kick a ball? Humans do that on the field near my hone. I didn’t think humans watched that in the little box." Dahlia said thoughtfully, her ears perking up at the offer. "Really? You aren’t messing with me? You really mean it?" She hopped up to her paws, her tail wagging excitedly. Her rear wiggled along with her tail. He had to be kidding.. right? Or joking atleast.

"Yes, that's right. Though there are a lot of different kinds of sports, though that ball kicking one seems to be pretty common one," Juno said as he nodded. He looked at her when she hardly could even believe his words before blinking softly and nodded. "I really mean it. I can't promise I can give you something every time, but I'll try my best. My owner... he doesn't hate strays, but he is afraid of them," Juno said glancing back to the rather big house where he lived.

"Humans are weird, they do a lot of strange stuff. I don’t know how watching ball kicking through a little screen is fun." Dahlia wrinkled her snout.

A wide grin spread across her muzzle and she spun in a circle before stopping. "You’re the nicest pet I’ve met! But what’s in it for you?" She slightly narrowed her eyes at him, taking a step back. "Well.. i’ve never bitten a human. I know some dogs have, but only if it’s absolutely necessary. Usually dogs who do get.." she shuddered.

"My owner was bitten when he was a small boy. Some stray dogs attacked him when he was playing on the streets, he still has scars from that time, both mental and physical," Juno said. "However, I don't know what happened as I was adopted by him only six years ago," Juno explained. He looked at the female keeping his calm and cool posture. "Nothing really. I have nothing to loose either," Juno said. He really wouldn't gain that much from helping a stray, but that was okay.

"Hm.. well.. let’s just focus on the positives right now." She quickly changed the subject. "You’re old." She chuckled, swishing her tail. "You don’t have a family or something?" It was a bit of a shock he wanted nothing in return.

She dropped into a play-bow, inviting the male borzoi to play a game of chase with her, or atleast something interesting. She was getting rather bored.

Juno chuckled too, "Oh, could't you tell just by telling how much silver my fur has?" he joked his tail swaying a little in relaxed manner. "Well, for us purebreds with pedigree it is a little different. I have no idea who my father is, well, I only knew what my mother told me about him. There were five of us in the litter, all finding our separate homes in different regions of the country. I only know that my sister, Zeljka, was abandoned," the male said. "But technically no, I have no one aside from my owner," he told her.

Seeing her to get into the play bow, Juno stood up dropping his much larger body into a similar position wagging his tail. It has been a while since he had played, but he sure loved the idea of getting a chance to stretch out his limbs.

Dahlia tilted her head, chuckling softly at his joke. Then she felt a bit confused. "You guys don’t get like a.. a mate or something? Just.. have pups with random dogs? That doesn’t sound fun." Her gaze softened a bit when he spoke about his sister. "Oh. Well.. I used to have owners. I was younger then. But they got rid of me. I don’t know why. But.. I think it had something to do with how I look. My litter mates and parents had ears that stood straight up." She sighed and shook her head, getting rid of the memory.

She wagged her tail a bit, then dashed off. She leapt over the fence before whipping around to see if he would follow. Her tail was wagging wildly now as she looked at him.

Juno shook his head. "Some of us are lucky enough to live with owners who also have a suitable mate living there, but most of us are just single dogs in the households," he explained. "Of course, it's a bit different for show champions, like myself, who are used as studs. We are just taken from a female to female to do what we are expected to do," he said pulling his ears back a little as he lowered his gaze and sighed. He clearly didn't enjoy that part of his life. He was a dog who preferred to live with only his mate after all and be true to her. "It's awful that you had to go through something like that and that your owners didn't decide to keep you anyway," Juno said.

Seeing her running off triggered his prey drive and Juno followed. He jumped over the fence graciously as due to his height and strength in his hind legs, it wasn't a challenge at all. As soon as he was on the other side, Juno trotted after her knowing that there was no need to use his speed to catch her. Should he run properly, she sure would be just get stuck in the cloud of dust.

"That sounds like a sad life to live. Even with all the food and stuff you get, you end up lonely." Dahlia sighed softly, shaking her head at bit. She didn’t pay any mind to his next words.

The black female took off running as soon as he made it over the fence, dashing down an alleyway and sliding underneath a fence, this time not stopping as she kept running. With those long legs of his she knew he could catch up to her with minimal effort. So, why not use her knowledge of the streets to her advantage? She knew every nook and cranny of the city.

Noticing her starting to run, Juno decided to add little more speed to follow her. As she slid under the fence, he just jumped over it knowing that it would take eternity for a dog of his size to get through, even though he was quite flat, if he laid sideways. He also didn't fancy the idea of getting his fur dirty. Juno, however, was keeping a close watch on the surroundings. "Just where are you leading me to?" he then asked. He knew that he would return back home soon, his owner most certainly didn't want his pricey champion dog roaming the streets freely and he also knew what the consequences would be, if he was caught other side of the tall fence that guarded his home.
