Juno chuckled as he laid down close to her. "I'm actually one of the largest of my breed," he said. "Though the judges at the championship shows have said that my height is ideal for a male of my breed," he smiled to her. "And yes, I can assume you would need to do quite a bit of trailing," he chuckled his chuckles low, yet his voice was very pleasant. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Dahlia listened to him speak, curious to know more about him. "Interesting. So youβre an ideal male?" She asked, rolling back upright and tilting her head at the other canine. She shifted closer, now a mere foot away from him. "What do you do at those uhm.. show things anyway? Stand there and look pretty?" 0 players like this post! Like? Juno chuckled softly as he nodded. "Yes, pretty much. I trot next to my owner while the judge looks at my movements and when we have ran few laps, I'll stand still like this..." he said showing her the posture he would have at the shows. "And then the judge inspects me and measures my height while all of this is documented. The one who is closest to the ideal of the breed wins a prize. Usually it's ribbon and a trophy, sometimes even accessories or food or stuff like that," he told her. "And what comes to your other question, yes, I'm the ideal male Borzoi. I have even won few Best of the Breed prizes," he told her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Dahlia listened to him speak, admiring him. Her eyes scanned over his form and body. "Yeah? That sounds a bit boring though.β She mumbled, sitting up and licking her nose. "Huh.. I donβt know what I am. Am I a borzoi?" 0 players like this post! Like? |

Juno nodded. "It does get quite boring, yes. Though I have been trained to do it since I was a little puppy, so I have gotten used to it. It makes my owner very pleased and I get a lots of treats afterwards, so it's worth it. However, when she asked if she too was a Borzoi, he laughed softly shaking his head. "Well, let's see... muzzle far shorter than mine... legs also shorter and back not as long... Not that trademark long wavy fur or shape of a greyhound..." he mused sniffing her. "I'm afraid, my dear, that you aren't Borzoi," he said gently. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"Oh.. well.. I suppose that makes a bit of sense. Why do the humans want dogs to do stuff like that?" Dahlia asked, somewhat confused about all this new information he was giving her. "Treats donβt sound half bad though. Do you enjoy this?β Her tail wagged slightly with anticipation as he looked over her. She was a bit disappointed to learn that she was in fact not a borzoi. "I donβt know what I am though. I have little memory of my momβs appearance.. and my father too. I donβt look like any of the dogs I pass on the street. Even some dogs that are strays have.. breeds, is it? And.. youβre only paired with other borzois?β 0 players like this post! Like? |

"I'm not entirely sure," Juno said after thinking for a while. He too didn't know why humans insisted on doing something like that, but he had never questioned it. It was the only life he knew after all. "I think I enjoy it a lot," he admitted after a while. He then looked at her more closely deep in thought. "I think that you might not be any certain breed, but maybe have mixed heritage?" he suggested, "Though, I think you'd have some kind of shepherd in your heritage, I have seen them in shows a lot and you do remind me of them a little," Juno said. "And yes, what comes to my lineage, it's full of Borzoi. My line is completely pure," he said. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Dahlia just grew increasingly disappointed as he continued talking. "Oh.. I see. That.. makes sense, I suppose. Well.. I have uhm some.. business to handle, so weβll have to continue our chat some other.. date." She stood, stepping back and away from the male. She didnβt bother with goodbye, limping off and sliding back underneath the fence. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Juno tilted his head when Dahlia suddenly wanted to leave. He, however, didn't try to stop her and instead walked up to the front door. He rose up on his hind legs looking inside of the house as he barked shortly asking to be let in. The door opened soon enough as his owner came to open the door for him. Once inside, he trotted off to the bowl of kibbles that had been prepared for him. Juno emptied the bowl quickly before he noticed his owner laying on the couch. He trotted over jumping on the couch before he crawled to lay on top of his owner possessively closing his eyes as he started to pet him gently. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Dahlia padded along, letting out a soft sigh. She shook out her fur before heading down her usual path. She stopped outside of a restaurant to see if she would get lucky and a human would toss something for her. Though she had no such luck today, getting chased off with a broom. With a huff she simply went home, curling up underneath that abandoned house once more. She slowly drifted off, curling up tighter when dark clouds covered the sky, bringing rain once again. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Juno hadn't noticed when he had actually fallen asleep on his owner, but woke up later, when his owner started to pet him again prompting him to get up so that he could get up too. Jumping down from the couch Juno stretched his stiff muscles watching his owner to get up and head to the bathroom. He followed like a dutiful guard, though allowed him to close the door knowing that he wouldn't just disappear. After his owner had returned from the bathroom, he had put on a wide soft leather collar around Juno's neck that was mostly black, but had hints on navy blue and silver details. "Come, let's go for a walk," his owner said leading Juno out of the door after he had attached a leash to the collar. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Dahlia soon awoke, crawling out from underneath the house once more. She shook out her thick, dirty fur. A combination of mud and grime fell off. She headed to a nearby pond, sliding into the water and rolling around. She managed to get some of it off, but now smelled like a wet dog. She padded off, shaking out as much of water as she could. She wandered around, limping along on the sidewalk. She eventually made it to a nice looking neighborhood, but she didnβt exactly remember if it was Junoβs or not. She settled down on somebodyβs lawn, laying her head down and observing passing people. The sight of her caused a few people to go the long way around. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Juno trotted beside his owner occasionally stopping to sniff at a bush or to mark a post. They met several other dogs during the walk, but the Borzoi barely reacted to their presence. He gave a tiny Toy Poodle a cold glare when the little dog wanted to play with him before walking off to follow his owner. Juno had never been a dog who was very keen on spending time with other dogs. He was a loner and even though sometimes company was welcome, he didn't really seek for it. His owner had decided to take Juno to walk outside their own neighborhood as he still didn't want to take him to running, but didn't also want to leave him completely without exercise. 0 players like this post! Dahlia eventually rose from her slumber once more, but she was met with a human standing a few feet away. She froze for a moment, then slowly began growling. She rose to her paws and backed away, her tail tucked between her legs. As soon as the human took a step towards her she darted off, using that injured leg to move faster. Though it hurt, she would get over it. She had to. Humans werenβt good. She panted softly, making it back to the main part of the city. She grumbled softly, heading down an alleyway to find a trash can to rummage through. She didnβt make it very close to the bin before he leg gave out. She sighed and just laid there, her chin on the ground. She wasnβt gonna move for awhile. She had nowhere important to be. She felt just a bit defeated. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Their walk had been far too short for Juno's tastes, but his owner had decided that the five kilometer relaxed stroll would be more than enough for now. Obediently the Borzoi followed his owner back home where he was given a bowl of kibbles. After eating his meal, Juno was let out again to spend some more time in the yard, though this time also he had a collar and the chain to prevent him from sneaking out. 0 players like this post!
