Nettlesnap '..yes?' He speaks slowly in case he was wrong about something, confused. 'They dont have fur. They're weird looking.' The tom meowed, feeling the need to explain himself. Did clan bloods call them twolegs? Weird. A lot of things had twolegs. Like birds. And those freaky lizard things in that wood smelling flat squares torn out from the book one of the tiny nofurs loved. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Palewind She nodded." I understand. My mother had kittypet friends and they always called them twolegs. Though I had heard them be called nofurs before." she stated as she sat down her eyes narrowing as she inspected the area around them. She was quite unsure about this now that they were here. Was Gentlebreeze somewhere around here? She hoped not, her mind again went back to hoping that she was on her way back to camp and they were the ones late but that was pretty unlikely. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Owlstar He glanced back at the two cats, his tail still slowly flicking, clearly broadcasting his annoyance. At least the rouge was being somewhat respectful. Something at the name, though, sounded familiar. He could remember it being shouted, but for what, he couldn't remember. Perhaps it had been an apprentice ceremony. "You've been separated from Shadowclan for all this time, and you've never taken another name?" Owlstar had turned back towards the entrance of camp, about to broadcast his intentions to leave, and bring the loner with him back to the border, when another question occurred to him. "How did you find us? We never told any other cats we were planning to flee the territory, and we took routes that would've discouraged even the most inquisitive rouges. Tell me exactly what happened. When you left Shadowclan, and what routes you took." Owlstar's pelt was bristling slightly, but with more with anger than nerves. The moon they had fled, Owlstar (Owljump at the time) had been tracked down by a Thunderclan patrol, and ambushed. He had been hunting in deep Shadowclan territory, trying to scrounge up some prey, when the Thunderclan cats had attacked. One of them, the Thunderclan deputy Robinberry, had almost killed him, leaving him with the scar Owlstar still carried. If this stranger, this Sootpaw, had been able to follow them here, Thunderclan might be able to chase them down. He had to calm down, had to look confident, like he didn't worry about Thunderclan cats following the rouge to camp, and slaughtering his clanmates in their sleep. He turned back towards his clanmates. "After this rouge is either allowed to stay for the day, or dealt with accordingly, I will award Palewind her prize. Rain is coming, and I would rather not get soaked to the bone." Toby He nuzzled Gentlebreeze again, smiling at her curiosity. He had always enjoyed the freshwater smell, but it seemed to mean something special to Gentlebreeze. He looked up at the hollow, enjoying the softness of the his bed below him, and the presence of Gentlebreeze beside him. The hollow was safe and warm, and he could smell the fresh air, as well as see clouds easily. Was this how it felt to sleep outside, being able to see the sky with just a small movement? Toby had fully relaxed by now, gently grooming Gentlebreeze between the ears, listening to her purr. It was so peaceful. He could imagine spending every day like this, lounging in the sun with her, or running through the twoleg place together, exploring every sidewalk and alleyway. He could even imagine kits, running around on the grass... No. Toby's whiskers twitched as he pushed away the thought. That wasn't something he should think about. He knew that if did have kits, the Housefolk would simply take them away. He couldn't do that to them. He resumed his grooming of Gentlebreeze, still thinking. She had wanted to talk with him about their future. Did he even want that conversation? Maybe in the morning. //I'll adjust that post lol, it's totally fine 0 players like this post! Like? Hawktalon She could see where this was going, and attempted to quell his mistrust. "He didn't find us, he had no clue we were here," She could sense the slight tension in Sootpaw's pelt, and lifted her tail to tell him to stay quiet while she talked to her leader. "I ran into him while hunting. I was under the impression that our clan would do well with a few extra paws. Even if for a moment." She wasn't one to go back and forth with her superiors, however as old as her brother was and still going by the paw suffix, she understood he had been on his own for a while. "I never ask you for much, Owlstar. I will, however, ask that you have mercy on my brother, for a day. He may be able to prove himself trustworthy. He was in the territory alone, and on my way back I sensed no other loners or rogues." Sootpaw Sootpaw followed his sister's order, forcefully flattening his fur. He has done nothing wrong, yet he was still not being trusted. He had hoped that his appearance of a missing ear and the lack of any other clan smell would give a good impression that he has, in fact, been wandering alone for the longest. As he glanced around the camp, the thought to himself how pathetic it looked and how they could do with another cat, a powerful one at that. Though, he would never say that out loud. He kept his gaze on Owlstar, hoping he would allow him to stay, even if just for a sunrise. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Gentlebreeze She gently laid down beside Toby, surprised at how soft this nest was. She laid her head down near Toby's paws. The she cat purred as he began to lick in between her ears. The feline wished every day could be like this. Being around him. The medicine cat knew it couldn't. Perhaps if she trained an apprentice, she could leave her clan. But what if the twolegs found out about her? Obviously she'd hiss but knowing twolegs, they wouldn't give up on befriending her. Gentlebreeze still purred, Toby's rhythmic licking soothed her. Her blue eyes flickered over to the twoleg nest often. The sky was beginning to darken, and the glow from inside the nest fell on the green grass. Her thoughts wandered again, to her and Toby's conversation earlier that day. About their future. He hadn't really answered how she wanted. Toby hadn't said anything about wanting kits. Gentlebreeze was disappointed, but didn't bring it up. She shifted, tucking her paws closer and curling her tail around her body. The warmth that radiated off of Toby's body was relaxing, his soft flame colored fur against hers was as well. She wished they could have kits. She purred louder as she visioned three little kits, exactly like Toby, bounding across the short cut grass. She imagined them all getting into mischief, bothering nesting birds, and chasing lizards. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Nettlesnap 'Right..' He spared a confused look in her direction and turned to look behind him, considering going back to camp. 'I don't think we're gonna find her. Unless you want to go into a nofur house and get barked at by a yappy mutt-' The tom huffed, flattening his ears to the sides of his head. He glanced at Palewind for just a moment before backing away, mainly just wanting to get rid of the disgusting scent of nofurs. The houses were tall, well-built and had a chalky scent coming off from the walls, and most looked the same. A stark contrast from the massive wooden barn he used to live in yet still he knew the nofurs lived there. Those oafs had a lot of "variety", if you could call it that. Atleast these houses weren't flammable. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Owlstar "If he has been alone all this time like you say, he can surely catch his own prey. I'll allow him to stay in camp until next sunrise" Owlstar glanced up at the quickly darkening sky. "Pineclan will not be giving handouts, no matter family ties. He can rest in the nursery for now, considering that it's empty." Owlstar had relaxed slightly, but his eyes were still narrowed. He wasn't in the mood to deal with a stranger, and his warriors kept running off to who knows where. Palewind, the cat who the entire prize was for, had scampered off onto the territory with Nettlesnap, looking for Gentlebreeze. He suppressed an angry growl, before leaping back atop the meeting tree, to watch for Palewind's return. More than ever he wished that he could use the fragment of moonstone he had been able to hang onto to contact his ancestors, but it would be a futile effort. When they had arrived, he had scoured the territory for days, looking for something he could use to contact Starclan. It had all been in vain. It was a miracle that he had managed to get his lives at all. Toby He pressed against her, both of them purring in a soothing rhythm. The sky had darkened enough that he could see the lights of his housefolk's nest clearly shining on the grass, illuminating green patches. The rain had finally began to fall, albeit slowly, drumming lightly against the top of the cozy hollow. The rain, which would help them both get to sleep, served the double purpose of washing their scent from the grasses and the hardstone path, making them much harder to follow. It was so nice and warm in the hollow, and Toby didn't want to disturb the cozy peace. But he knew that Gentlebreeze would want him to talk, even if she hadn't come out and insisted yet. It was another thing he loved about her, how she could convince him to do something with barley a few words. "Earlier, you wanted to talk about our future." Toby kept his voice low, he suddenly felt nervous, heart beating faster. Should he really go through with this? What if she was going to tell him that they couldn't meet up anymore? "And, I was going to say-" Toby was almost panicking a little now, but kept on speaking quietly. "-That I would do anything for you, Gentlebreeze. I'd join your clan-thingie for you, if that's what you wanted." There. He had said it, and he could only wait for her response now. Whatever happened next, he would do his best to follow Gentlebreeze into it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Gentlebreeze She watched the rain fall, and puddle up in patches of the grass. The drumming of the rain above soothed her. Her eyes drooped, and she pressed her head into Toby's soft chest fur. Her flanks fell and rose with each breath, her eyes barely open as she fought the drowsiness. Her soft blue eyes flickered awake as she felt Toby's heartbeat become quicker and louder. The flame pointed siamese's ears raised as he spoke. "Earlier, you wanted to talk about our future." he said softly. She went rigid, her heart skipping a beat. "And, I was going to say-" he mewed, panic lining his voice. "-That I would do anything for you, Gentlebreeze. I'd join your clan-thingie for you, if that's what you wanted." he finally finished. Gentlebreeze moved her head from his paws, her gaze falling onto him. Her soft blue eyes were mixed with confusion and joy. Emotions clashed together. "I..." she mewed, words caught in her throat. "Toby, you don't have to, but I won't hold you back if you really want to join my clan.." she mewed softly, nuzzling him. "I would be really happy if you did choose to join." she purred, pushing her muzzle into his orange tabby fur. Thoughts raced through her mind. Would Owlstar let him join? Would they still be able to be in a relationship without her clanmates noticing? How would Toby settle in? Would her clanmates accept him? Would they be mean to him? She didn't dare show her worry. This was his choice, not hers. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Palewind The she cat looked at the tom as the rain began to fall." No lets go back, I think we'd be in more trouble if we got all the dogs yapping up a storm." she stated giving a long deep sigh, well Gentlebreeze would return, hopefully from wherever she went off too. She would much rather stay and find her, after all she didn't want to leave anyone behind especially if they were in danger. But she decided it would probably be best for them to just go back and let Gentlebreeze return on her own time. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Nettlesnap 'Exactly.' The tom meowed, taking one last brief look towards the nofur houses before turning tail. He flicks his tail impatiently for her to follow, his ears flattening as the cold rain dropped onto his thin pelt and made him shudder. Ew. 'Speaking of storms..' He hissed through gritted teeth and gazed up at the clouds, cursing them for having the audacity to rain today. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Palewind She rose to her paws following Nettlesnap." She'll come back soon hopefully since it's storming." she stated as they walked along making their way back to camp. She sighed deeply, going back now would be ideal so no dogs or anything of the sort chased them and followed them or something. She really disliked these twoleg creatures, always so loud and trying to catch cats that run around free. Why would anyone want to be a kittypet anyway? It sounded awful dealing with those twolegs and their kits all day, absolutely not. Then again she knew rouge and loner life wasn't exactly ideal to many of her clan born clanmates, so did they dislike kittypets as well? She assumed so. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Nettlesnap 'Maybe. If she was in danger there'd be a lot more blood here.. or fear scent. Nothing.' He paused and pawed at a sprouting fern briefly as if he expected there to be solid evidence of what had happened underneath it. 'Yep, nothing.' The tom repeated after a few seconds, sprinting to catch up with Palewind. He tried his best to avoid the open space and walk under the trees to avoid the soaking rain, but then there'd be more pine needles and sticks hurting his paws. He put up with the irritating needles stabbing his soft paw pads, not wanting to change his mind and appear unsure in front of the she. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Palewind She nodded in agreement as she watched the tom." Well hopefully then she'll be fine so long as she isn't caught out in this storm." she stated as she picked up her pace a little bit wanting to get to camp faster as the rain fell. She sighed softly, it's fine, everything's fine, Gentlebreeze is fine nothing to worry about. she told herself as she trotted along. She didn't want to be nosy but she wanted to ask Gentlebreeze where she was the next time she saw the medicine cat, where could she have gone? Surely not too terribly far if she was only looking for herbs. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Nettlesnap 'I'm suree-' He trotted ahead, his pace flawed by the occasional wince when he tried to put pressure on his leg once again, not having learned his lesson the first time. 'Shouldn't we bring something back? You know, since we randomly left camp. I don't think Owlstar or any of the other clan bl- members. are very happy about that.' the tom slowed down to match Palewind's pace, his gaze trailing over the foliage for any little titbits of prey that could possibly be scurrying underneath the thick, waxy leaves. 0 players like this post! Palewind The she cat nodded." Yes I suppose we should, the more prey the better." She stated as she slowed her pace to not scare off any prey. She sighed softly to herself as she began trying to find the scent of prey. Yes more prey, great idea, though Palewind was a terrible liar so she'd probably end up telling someone that they did leave to look for Gentlebreeze, she was not just a liar but could be a big blabber mouth if she felt people were onto her so called "lies". 0 players like this post!
