Anyone can join! MAIN LORE: Shadow High was created in 1996 originally to contain and train supernatural creatures to stay away from humans, blend in with them, and not cause conflict. In 1999 it was changed to just a normal high school that anyone could attend when the original people who opened the school mysteriously died and it got new owners. How the original owners died is a big topic spread around the school but the teachers can and will punish anyone who mentions it. The school is a two story building with the second story now blocked off as ‘employees only’. The students are starting to wonder what’s up there. PLOT: It’s 2009 and a new school year is starting. This year a lot of kids have moved from elsewhere, and the teachers are keeping a closer eye then ever on the kids. But who doesn’t love the first day of a new school? Dmitri Dmitri strode into his first class of the day. Homeroom. Ugh. He glanced around the room, looking into the eyes of each and every one of his students. Well, he tried to. Half of them had their heads on the desk. Lazy little creatures. He flexed his powerfully built arms, subduing the urge to slap them awake. He jolted slightly, as he saw his half-sister sitting next to a rabbit-like girl with antlers. He didn't know that Tatiana was coming to Shadown High! Dmitri realised what he was doing. He decided to take attendance to snap them all awake. With a bang, he slammed his suitcase onto his desk, and lowered himself into the chair. "My name is Dmitri Korolov. I'll be your homeroom teacher for the rest of the year, and possibly your Psychology teacher. Now, I apologise if I get your names wrong, but I believe that the first to be called upon is Jamie? Carmina hastily walked down the hallway, her talons making a dull clacking sound as they connected to the ground. This was her first day at Shadow High, and she was already running late! Damnit! She knew she should've set her alarm clock, but she had startled herself trying it out the other day and decided to spare herself the inconvenience... what's done is done, though, and she wasn't the kind of person to dwell on her mistakes. The bright-feathered harpy opened the door and grabbed the handle to stop it from slamming onto the wall. "Hello! 'Scuse the lateness," she said, panting, "uh, professor." She gave the vampire an awkward smile then, without further ado, shuffled towards the back of the class and picked a seat close to her new classmates. As she pulled her things out of her backpack, she watched them curiously, her gaze lingering on their alien features. Their bare arms weren't entirely unlike a young hatchling's, she thought, but remaining like that - stuck on the ground and exposed to the elements - was unfathomable. There were also two other... beings? that resembled the aguará-guazú of her jungle home more than anything else. She wondered if they, too, were feeling cold here, despite their furred bodies. She idly tapped her claws on her desk as she took in the surroundings of the "homeroom", as it was called. Strange. Why would they call it that if nobody lived there? As Asher looked up at the new student he didn't think much of her at first. Another harpy another student that's all he really thought. Eventually he listed his head up from the desk and looked at.others students before looking at the time (" great another hour ") . Even himself can't be locked up for long soon even himself may go crazy from sitting down so long 0 players like this post! Like? |

Dakota had fallen to a piece of paper. A a light grey pencil stood in his hand dancing upon the sheet as he created little doodles out of boredom. The sound of the door clicking open caught his attention. The teacher arrived, followed shortly by another student. He decided to keep his head down. That was until a name was chirped out in a happy manner. Only then, at the friendly sounding voice, did he turn his head to the side to view the harpy. He offered a hand in a wave before speaking. A strange, bird-like creature stood in front of Tatiana. She heard the bird-girl squawk, "Carmina Altimari, sir!" then agaiin, "Hi! What are your names?" Tatiana growled under her breath. She could deal with Yumi's bubbly positiveness, but this? Urgh. But Tatiana didn't want the girl to think that she was rude, so she offered her a half-smile, mumbling something that might have been a greeting, a name, or a curse. Dmitri sighed. Clearly whoever this Jamie was was either asleep or not here yet. "Okay, class, ten minutes let before homeroom ends. I still have to mark the roll!... screw this, just come up here and put a tick next to your name." He sat back in his chair and opened up a book. 0 players like this post! A pounding headache blasted Tatiana. She had never felt something like this before... she glanced at the patch-faced boy and glared at him. Was this why he was silent and kept ibuprofen in his bag? She smiled apologetically at Yumi and moved to sit back next to him. Gods above, she thought. Why can't I just pick a seat and stay there? She shuffled closer to the boy. /zero/ The voices whispered. Zero? Was that his name? His age? Urgh. Why couldn't the voices be more specific? 'Are you Zero?' She thought loudly. If he responded in any way, her suspicions would be confirmed. A warm flustered feeling washed over Dakota's cheeks as Carmina pointed out the paper. Pencil falling to the desk, he quickly dropped an outstretched hand over the corner of doodles. "Oh, um, that? It- it's nothing. Just bored, apparently." He had nothing to hide, it was just a tree, what appeared to be some mountains and a little sheet ghost. "Do you enjoy this school? Your wings are very pretty. Can you fly?" He appeared to be rambling words at this point just finding something to say. He managed to take a deep breath in and carefully release it.
