MOST IMPORTANTLY: DONT STEAL THE RPROLES + OTHER 10.there is a cap to how many chars you can have in the rp. it's 3. 11. if you've made it this long and read the rules, pm me GOOSE Student - Ages 16-18 Teacher - Ages 25+ Sophomore - Age: 16 Junior - Age: 16-17 Senior - Age: 17-18 This IS a public rp! Anyone can join! MAIN LORE: Shadow High was created in 1996 originally to contain and train supernatural creatures to stay away from humans, blend in with them, and not cause conflict. In 1999 it was changed to just a normal high school that anyone could attend when the original people who opened the school mysteriously died and it got new owners. How the original owners died is a big topic spread around the school but the teachers can and will punish anyone who mentions it. The school is a two story building with the second story now blocked off as ‘employees only’. The students are starting to wonder what’s up there. PLOT: It’s 2009 and a new school year is starting. This year a lot of kids have moved from elsewhere, and the teachers are keeping a closer eye then ever on the kids. But who doesn’t love the first day of a new school? Shylene breathed a sigh of relief .. "okay this teacher seems to be laid back, good" she thought. "Yeah, sorry. Im new to public school, I was homeschooled back in my hometown...its a but overwhelming haha" She said nervously. She was homeschooled all her life except for kindergarten. She only had one friend. Who was SUPPOSED to be joining her.. he's always late for everything 🙄 .... "Coming from someone who's 1 class late." She thought. "Well I'll just... mosey along to 2nd period. . Uh thank you!" Amaru laughed, a warm, earthy sound that made Shylene's tension ebb away. "Ah, ya know I do," She said, winking at Shylene's embarrassed expression. "My grandpappy used to say it all the time. Said it meant to walk with a purpose, but with a whole lotta relax." She grinned, her ram horns tilting upward in amusement. "Course, he was a rancher, so maybe that's why it stuck." After talking to Amaru, Shylene felt a bit better about this whole ordeal. She said goodbye and left for 2nd period, which was.... ah! Self defense with Caelum Doyle, what a cool name. Wait, self defense, oh great. She followed the centaur's directions and found the classroom. She went inside and saw the teacher, Caelum, he was sitting at his desk. There were also birds in the rafters? How peculiar.. she said a mumbled hello and sat down at the desk in the back right corner next to the window and waited. 0 players like this post! Like? |

October walked to the bathroom so she could have a minute to herself. All the people made sounds out her on edge. It was probably just the fact that this was a new town and these were all new faces. Who ever heard of a vampire with social anxiety. *face palm* She took out a thermos from her bag and drank slowly, leaving some for later. Looking into the mirror she wipes away a drop on blood left in the corner of her mouth. She was much more relaxed now. Ready to take on Psychology. She left the restroom and glided down the hall. Amaru watched Shylene wander off with a soft smile. “Well time to go to my office," She thought to herself. As she turned to leave, she caught the doorframe just barely before she would've bumped heads with a bird. “Whoa, watch it, featherbrain!" Amaru chuckled, patting the bird on its head, startling it. It fluttered away, joining its companions in the rafters. "Well, I guess that's enough minglin' for now," Amaru muttered. "Time to go catch my breath and prep for the next class." As she trotted off, she noticed the birds seemed to be watching her. "Hey now, don't get any ideas, I ain't no birdfood," She warned them with a playful threat before walking away from the door. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Carmina was so engrossed in conversation she almost didn't notice the class change: when she glanced at her surroundings, she realized everyone was leaving! "Goodness, what's wrong with me today? I can't be running late to every class!" The harpy thought aloud, then turned to her new acquaintance. "I have to leave now," she said, as she grabbed her bag once more and slinged it over her feathered shoulders. It was beige in color and lightweight - she didn't quite know what she'd need to bring to a place like this, so she didn't pack too many things in it. Any unneeded weight would only hinder her in flight. Carmina then waved goodbye at Dakota and strolled out of the homeroom. The next class was... self defense, if she was correct. It didn't occur to her that this wasn't a normal subject as she walked down the hallway. Last time she'd been anywhere like school was primary school, she recalled: back when her feathers hadn't grown in yet, her aunt had tried to pass her off as one of these "humans" and enrolled her in the nearby school... for... reasons? She never really knew why. Making friends, perhaps. What she did know was that her mother was very, very upset at the idea and pulled her out as soon as she found out. Or rather, as soon as her classmates and teachers had found out what she really was. ...What would she think of where she was right now? Carmina chose to not dwell on it any further and entered the classroom. Inmediately noticing the birds perched around her, she was filled with a vague sense of longing, despite herself. Shylene was still sitting at her desk by the window daydreaming, waiting for all the students to come in and class to start, when her phone beeped. It was a text.. from Killian. ---------- -Killian- Heyo! What's my favorite skelly up too? S-What do you mean? I'm at school? K- ........ School? S-Don't joke with me! Where are you? It's already 2nd period! K- Oh silly me! It seems I forgot what day it was! I got too busy practicing the long-forgotten and beautiful art of Juggling 🤡 (Shylene couldn't help but laugh at that) S- 🙄 K- *sigh* yeah yeah I'm on my way. I got stuck with a night shift and slept late. S- oh, well hurry because self-defense is about to start! K- 👍 ----------- Shylene put her phone down and looked around the class. There was a human girl who seemed grumpy. A harpy girl walked in, she started chirping at the birds in the rafters. Hm. She also noticed another girl with long pink hair and bat ears, who she didn't notice before sitting a couple seats away from her. She smiled at the girl. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Tatiana glanced up as the avian girl, Carmina, entered the room and began to chirrup at the large birds sitting in the rafters. She wasn't sure what Carmina had said, but it sounded friendly - the macaw child was extremely bubbly and happy as far as Tatiana could tell. Dmitri slugglishly walked out of the classroom, heading up to his office. hopefully he could snatch a few hours of well-earned peace up there. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Killian didn't particularly like school.. he already knew the subjects. He knew he would get great grades. He just didn't try, I mean what's the point? Its not like he was going to make a difference in the world. It's likely he'll just end up working for his Mother's circus for the rest of his life anyway... Killian entered the school but decided not to go to class right away, instead he went to his assigned dorm. His roommate was, Asher? Hm. "Can't wait to meet the poor bloke" he thought with a grin.
