Be prepared to notice major changes in this thread! It is going under massive re-evaluation and will be edited and changed during this period!Okay, I was letting my lionesses out to hunt and I placed one in a village and thought: 'Hey, wouldn't it be cool if they could get sick or hurt?' and that's what this thread is about! I've done my research and have found diseases that lions can get in the wild, as well as injuries. With the disease and injuries comes death. Now, before the major edit, there were varying degrees of death depending on the disease or injury. Like last time, your main lion CANT die no matter how bad of a condition he's in. Lionesses, sub males and cubs on the other hand.... Can die, be prevented from doing certain tasks and such. I've decided that no matter the injury, there is up to a 13% chance of a lioness/cub/sub dying if the wound is severe. (the reason being that I wanted it to be 25, then 10, then five. I averaged them and got 13.) There are many injuries that a lion/cub/lioness can get and possibly die from. But even though they can die, it's only if you ignore their wounds for long enough and don't treat them properly. Remember that the higher stats your sub/cub/lioness has, the lower chance they have of getting injured in the first place! After much debate on the matter of this thread being about a game mode or not, I have decided that no, this wouldn't be a game mode. Instead, I have decided that this would be the full of Lioden. However, before you cuss me out or something, let me explain! This had been modified. (December 29, 2016 if you're wondering) Now, this would be a much more forgiving and less frightening version of the previous thread. Less stats are needed for a lion to thrive successfully and injuries will be much easier to treat. Not only that, herbs are easier to find. Injuries also have a percentage of chance now. There are more common injuries, and less common. That will be explained below. The Stat Immunity ScaleCubs: With NO training (starting at 5 months old) |

@Scar Both were mentioned. The décor would be like any other, and is it's own décor. And yeah, there's mange. ![]() |

I love this idea, but instead of dying why not have an injury cooldown when inflicted with a serious injury? Possible death might make people rage quit the site or even stay away from it if they're thinking of joining and I don't want that to happen D: Especially when people often spend money making their perfect dream lioness. I support this, but not the death part. I know animals die and that's life. We are reminded of this whenever the poaching event comes around. I don't think Lioden need more death... ![]() |

No Support. I don't like the death part, I can understand if the illness or injury only effects the hunger or mood bars, but for the most part I already have trouble keeping my lions happy due to personality typing. This also doesn't encourage people to send more on the game, all I see are people perhaps leaving because its become too tedious to even care for them, Plus all this herb mixing and gathering is hard to keep track of, I'm pretty new to the site and learning what most items even do is all new to me and I know old members probably want more exciting things to look forward to, I just think this isn't the way to go. The idea is great, I just would rather not have to also check my lions health, mood and hunger I think you should change the idea of them getting sick/injured from hunting to perhaps them lions getting sicker with age. Such as a cub that has no protection or a lioness that is 11+ years. ![]() |

@ Highflyers Thank you! @Cacc + Darth-Mufasa Well I understand why it would cause immense rage, but the staff (Xylax) has confirmed that death will be a part of the whole injury and sickness update. The site is getting full of unwanted lions and lionesses, and they think that this will be the way to cope with it. Also, there would be an item to keep lions/lionesses to keep from getting sick and/or injured. ![]() |

Aww man, NO support. I do not want this to be implemented unless I'd want to spend more money on shit. So no. This is just extra hardship and a waste of time. ![]() |

I am NOT spending my money on GB to buy shit just so my lions don't die! I don't care if the shit is realistic, I'll fucking rant and rage on the forums if one single fucking cub dies of something like a black mamba! ![]() |

@Kitu Please, there's no need for that. The cubs dying, are mostly because there are too many crowding the site. And there's hardly a chance that a cub will actually die. Cubs will go back to 100% if you take care of their injury properly. The only reason a mamba would probably kill it, is because adult lions hardly even pull through a bite. ![]() |

Broodmothers really decrease the chance, they're watching the cubs. The chance that a cub ever even sees a mamba, is like 1% ![]() |

Dude, people are so dramatic. "Oh no! I dont want my lions to die ifthishappensI willlose everything andkillmyselflifeisover!!!!" No. I support this fully because 1) Its fricking REALISTIC and this is a simulator. Well, its supposed to be anyway. 2) Your lions won't definitely die, the herbs don't seem hard to get. 3) If you want great pretty nice lions, you should work to keep them. It's not that hard. Those of us that have nice lions didn't get there by just logging on twice a week, so it won't be hard to keep those lions from dying when you can just go buy or explore for some herbs and junk. 4) I just think this is really cool and I want it added into the game :D also, all these features: "We can age freeze lions Change their sex Lions in real life won't stud themselves out Sell our lions, real female lions stay in their birth prides for life Have purple/pink/blue lions " are features that i DONT SUPPORT. I voted NO for the Ice base. I absolutely loathe cinnabars. *sigh* I know, I know thins can't be exactly like what 1 person wants them to be. But with my supports and no supports I can at least TRY to perfect me idea of what I would like Lioden to be like. A game htat is truly challenging, rewarding, and eventful. So I support. ![]() |

Also, I think that stats should affect whether or not a lion gets an injury in the first place. For example, a 30 stat lioness would have a slightly higher chance of getting hurt while a 200 statter would have a lower chance. But, to balance that out, I would say that when a higher stat lion gets injured, it should be worse. After all, if you are the fastest lion in the land, but a snake somehow still manages to bite you, it has to have been a pretty dangerous animal. So, a low stat lion would be more likely to get hurt, but with a lesser injury(Hyena Tear for ex), while a higher stat lioness would be less likely to get hurt, but with a more serious injury.(Hyena Tear 3 or example) ALSO I just got the idea that maybe a lion could become crippled. Ofcourse, there would be a small chance of this happening, and it could only happen with some injuries, like the broken bone ones. Like mutations, it would change the line art for your lion (just a line edit really). For example you could have a twisted limb, (each leg would have its own line edits) crooked jaw (could come from getting slapped too hard), mangled limb(which would be really dramatic looking), or bent limb. Limping would be apparent with these lines. Crippled lions could still breed. They probably wouldn't be able to hunt, patrol or become king though.... They probably would be able to become broodmothers. I think thats it for my ideas. ![]() Edited on 28/03/16 @ 21:04:44 by bluekat13 (#17890) |

@Bluekat13, Thank you so much for your support! I really do appreciate it. But I did say that the higher stats a lion has, the less chance it has of getting hurt. It should be in the second paragraph. ![]() |

I don't support this because sometimes people spend hundreds of real dollars on lions, trying to breed dream kings and getting mutations. Only to have them die by an accident? The cub mortality works because there is ways of protecting them. But without those ways of protecting them no one would want to but expensive lions anymore. ![]() |
