Old Sign-ups NEW Sign-Ups Thread Sunrise Pack Territory *pictures belong to their respective owners/photographers* The stream beside camp. It's shallow and easy to cross, perfect for drinking water and even pups are sometimes allowed to play in it-but be careful, it's slippery on the rocks depending on where you are, and freezes during winter and early spring. The easternmost part of the territory, on the other side of the mountain valleys connected to the Sunrise pack's territory. The pack lives in eye shot of the western side of the mountain. The westernmost point of the territory is dense forest and the easternmost point is reasonably flat plains against the last of the mountain valleys. Sunrise pack and its camp is separated from Duskfall's eastern territory by a valley of sloping mountains. In the middle of the territory is wooded shrubland. The camp is located in the westernmost area of the shrublands, the dens are made in the bushes and dug under the roots of large trees. Nakoma~3~Zeta I gave a nod to Adsila. "You have a point, Adsila. But it will be good experience for her, and she is only watching. But if for some reason we don't get a deer, I personally will go out and get one on my own." I offered. Yes, getting a deer by yourself is very difficult, and a lot more dangerous, but I couldn't deny the young apprentice this chance, but I also have to make Adsila happy about it, or at least let us do it; she doesn't have to be happy with it. "You remember your first time in a group hunt. The thrill of watching you and your pack mates bring down a deer that could feed the whole pack. The feeling of success and glory once it is killed. Let her see it. It might encourage her to be a great hunter so she can relive that feeling over and over again. And it might even help with her training, seeing how it's done." I said politely. "All of us would've loved this opportunity when we were training, why not allow her it." I added. ![]() |

Nova woofed to Aela, signalling for her to stop as they waited for Adsila's final decision. Guilt rose in his belly and he lowered his ears while he listened. Not consulting the kappa wasn't something you should forget. Both Nakoma and Adsila had a point though he would have enjoyed being there for Arielle's first big hunt. She could always make up for it with Pyre, he supposed. ![]() |

Pyre | 4 | Noble Lowering her head, which definitely wasn't something this noble did often, nor took lightly, Pyre quietly spoke "I see your point, Kappa, but Zeta Nakoma also makes a good point. I will personally watch her, and i can vouch that she is not one to mess around or act out of line. She is a good wolf, and will hopefully one day make an exquisite huntress for you to guide. I ask that you allow it, ma'am." ![]() |

Arielle|Female|7 mo. | Apprentice Arielle stopped suddenly and spun around on her back feet. She tilted her head at Adsila's speech and let her ears droop down. The conversation confused her; could she go or couldn't she? Her hackles began to raise, but she forced them back down, realizing that a fight with a much older wolf, much less a kappa, was a bad idea. At Nakoma's comments however, her ears slightly perked up. "I'm starting to like this Zeta more and more," she thought. At Pyre's arguement, Arielle shifted over to the noble, happy that she was backing her up. She nodded happily during Pyre's slight praise, confirming the description and hoped that it was enough to convince the Kappa. ![]() Edited on 12/10/15 @ 19:41:34 by InsertCleverNameHere|Lights On (#36227) |

Adsila//Female//4 years//Kappa Mentions: Hunting party Adsila frown slightly, as much as she trusted others judgement they could make no promise like that. Who knew if the young wolf would be spooked or simply get too excited. It was decisions like this she hated. finally she came up with a solution. "There will be two hunting parties: One with the Arielle in lead by Pyre and the other lead by me. The rules of this are that neither party is to interfere with one another. We shall separate the herd into two and then separate ourselves from there" it was the only fair solution she could make. This way the apprentice got to hunt but also the hunt wouldn't be put in danger. "Anyone who complains about this will be taken off the hunting all together. Also I'm not all too happy about the fact this decision was made without me, next time talk to me first" she usually wouldn't be so strict but sometimes she had to be. The hunt was her responsibility and if the pack went hungry it was on her head, not whomever had simply decided to make the decisions without her. ![]() |

Nakoma~3~Zeta~ I nodded lowly and apologetically to Adsila. "Thank you. It won't happen again; I assure." I flashed an apologetic glance to the apprentice, sorry for the confusion that was caused, and for the bad example we had shown her. ![]() |

(teaminka, as much as i like a peaceful high rank like Nakoma, she's TOO peaceful. Zeta is supposed to be a rank that is all about war and strategy, and a zeta that rolls over and shows their belly in every confrontation is not how the lead warrior/zeta would act. She just sounds too submissive, you know? She rolled over and showed her belly [not literally, its hypothetical] to a lower ranked wolf [Pyre-a Noble] and submissively asked the kappa - her equal - to allow it.) Pyre | 4 | Noble Bowing her head respectfully to the Kappa, she grinned at Arielle "Happy to oblige, Kappa. May i choose Nova? Since Aela is the only scout/herder, she'd be best used at the split and then herding the herd into a corner." ![]() |

Adsila//Female//4 years//Kappa --Mentions: Pyre As she looked at the nobel she frowned still, too many wolves were taking liberties with her duty. "I shall decide who's in which hunt and what best use each wolf would be. I have warned everyone about over stepping the mark once, next time I may not be so kind" she warned further. "I don't like having to be so harsh but I'm Kappa for a reason and I'm not about to allow that to be taken from me" she spoke sternly. She'd worked hard for her position, it made her feel better especially since she wasn't raised in the wild like the others. "With Pyre will be Arielle, Nakoma and Aela. I feel this will work best as Aela can keep the herd together which will make it easier for the apprentice" she knew Aela didn't enjoy the actual hunting part of a hunt. "With me shall be Luna and Nova as I need more muscle due to my own small size" she explained her reasonings so that the other wolves understood she wasn't being harsh. ![]() |

Arielle | Female | 7 mo. | Apprentice Arielle walked to position herself next to Pyre, sweetly nudging her. She nodded awkwardly to the Kappa, thanking her for allowing her to accompany the hunting party. In response to the Kappa's stern tone, she clenched her jaw, frustrated and impatient with the complications. She was taken aback by the Kappa's decision to split up Nova and Pyre, and glanced over at the Noble to see if she was alright. ![]() |

Kina||4.5||Healer Kina nodded. "Probably not, but I'd like to play it safe." She laughed a little, managing to do so without loaing a single leaf of the herb. She began trotting quickly back to camp. "Just back to camp. I've almost finished restocking the herb supply, and the ones left grow by the border. I'd like to go with a hunting patrol for those, or much earlier in the morning. Who knows what Sunrise Pack is up to." Nicya||3||Scout Nicya had dozed off, but a growl from her stomach woke her. She carefully got o her paws, sniffing the air. It seemed a big group had just left, probably to hunt, and it smelled big enough that she wouldn't need to join them. Instead, she padded forward and grabbed a hare of a small pile of food, carrying it back to her den before beginning to eat it. She would do something a little later, she decided, like scout around the territory or something helpful. ![]() |

(Sorry! I'm just trying to have her not upset her pack mates too much and hate her, but at the same time trying to keep their respect and know that when she's wrong she's willing to apologize. And I'm still trying to figure everyone out so I can figure out how she can interact with them >.< I'm also trying to have her as a misleading coyness to her, kinda like a snake: silent before the strikw. I will definitely fix that though!) Nakoma~3~Zeta "I couldn't agree more." I hide a smile to myself at the thought of being able to bring a deer to its knees. Nothing more thrilling. It would be interesting seeing how the apprentice acts when she gets caught up in the excitement. ![]() |

(Wouldn't the kappa have more jurisdiction over decisions about hunting than the zeta anyway? battles and fighting are Nakoma's speciality and hunting is Adsila's right? It's like the english teacher taking control of the math teacher's class when the math teacher is trying to teach. they are both of equal rank too but in certain areas one has more authority. I thought Nakoma acted appropriately. Just sayin! :) ) Nova padded over to Adsila to stand by the red she-wolf's side, trying to hide his surprise at her sudden assertiveness. She was usually such a peaceful wolf. Not that he was complaining; having clear instructions was better than half-assed ones after all. A hunt with just three wolves would be different as well, but the challenge was welcome. "Good luck," he grinned to Pyre's patrol. Aela lifted his chin and stared back at Nova confidently "We'll leave you in the dust," she vowed with a playful snap of her teeth. Flanking and guiding a smaller herd would certainly make her job easier and hopefully wouldn't be too intimidating to little Arielle. Less dominance bickering was welcome as well. ![]() |

(oh yeah thats fine Hope/Sunfire, but everytime theres a confrontation the zeta should not be submissive in any way.) Pyre | 4 | Noble Hiding her extreme disappointment with a low dip of her head, Pyre gave a soft smile, though her ears flicked in annoyance "Yes, Kappa." Foolish! She's setting us up for failure. She may need more muscle due to her small size, but she can use every wolf to make up for it-i just need Aela to scout, and Nova for the guard - Nakoma isnt exactly a guarding wolf on a hunt, the Zeta wants to rip the deer's head off - not watch for Sunrise, or rogue deer charging! Arielle can't help, and Aela's a pacifistic wolf. I suppose Aela could keep watch, but she'll be really busy keeping the deer in check! Pyre grinned at Nova and nudged Aela "Good luck, let's show them who's the best, guys!" Giving a low volley of barks to group her wolves, she started forward again, bounding toward the direction they were heading, keeping to a trot "Aela? Adsila?" she hummed, waiting for the other two to take the lead. ![]() |

Nakoma~3~Zeta I smiled in agreement at Adsila's final say. 'Plain garbage' I thought to myself. I followed Pyre for a bit, tell I knew we were out of hearing range of Adsila. "May we talk." I said hushly, admittedly a little harsher than meant, but I couldn't care right now. Adsila was taking revenge on us for trying to start a hunting party, and she thinks she's going to win. I snorted irritably, before picking up my pace. ![]() |
