Her eyes thoughtfully gazed towards the border where the group of 3 had disappeared to, "Is there more we need to discuss? Im sure Nova is awaiting me at my den.."

She scoffed slightly at his first comment, flicking her tail as if to dismiss it. "I'm no fool Nova, I reckon at least half the wolves in this pack don't accept me. If I'm so visible then it simply means I'm purposely ignored, now I'd rather be left alone. I'be grown used to my own company" she lifted her head. She didn't want to make the male feel bad, he was about the only one who made her feel welcome. "You're the only one who's made me feel like I'm actually here, I tell you my feelings because I trust you with them. I don't actually trust anyone else in this pack, I don;t know them well enough" she told him, looking him dead in the eye. "Now go have your meeting with Lucifer" she spoke bluntly before turning and walking away. She made her way to a bush not far off, lying beside it and grooming the last of the water from her pelt.

Nova didn't know what else to say for the she-wolf but his heart hurt for her, and he resolved himself to talk to her later as well. If he couldn't be at his best physically for his pack, he could at least help with the more internal issues. Speaking to Lucifer about Adsila's questionable behaviour was the right thing to do, he knew, but he couldn't bring himself to consider breaking her trust. I'll fix this on my own, he thought, and padded over to the alphas den to wait for Lucifer.

Lucifer trotted towards her den at a brisk pace after bidding goodbye to Pyre, her eyes spotting Nova about half way up. "Nova! We have lots to discuss today." She had a smile planted firmly on her muzzle and walked into the den, waving her tail for him to follow her inside. She sat down on one of the two pelts in the back, motioning for him to do the same. She took a deep breath before looking dead at him, "You proved you are a loyal and trustworthy wolf to me Nova... Im asking you to take the Duskfall's beta position. Your the only wolf that could possibly co-lead beside me and deal with my stubborness at times, Will you, Nova, take the beta position?"

Nova followed Lucifer within the den, beginning to feel nervous for some reason. He sat on the pelt and wrapped his tail around his forelegs, listening to her with serious green eyes and pricked ears. When she finished he took a minute to absorb what she had said and get around the shock of it before replying slowly "I accept, Lucifer. I could imagine no greater honour than leading at your side. I'll do my best to meet your expectations. Thank you!." He bowed his head to her, his heart beating fast. He could hardly believe it. He was beta? He couldn't decide between being terrified or excited, and her praise warmed his from the inside out. Immediately he wanted to tell Pyre and Aela. But he knew he had more important things to do, particularly with Lucifer. He raised his head and met her gaze. "What else did you wish to discuss?"

"Well, Besides the beta bit.. i have a feeling those wolves know more about us then they should... Particularlly someone within the pack, that I have yet to narrowed down.. If we can get any information about them or what they know that'd be great.. Well Mr.Beta, do you have anything about this pack that's concerning you? Tactics, wolves, border patrols? Anything bugging you at all, if nothing else other then that, We can announce your position to the pack." Her blue eyes glimmered happily at the beta before her, there was no other wolf here she trusted more, it'd been a tough choice between a few but he was the best to lead beside her.

Nova forced a smile "I think our pack works pretty well, though Pyre and Adsila have some tension between them still. They'll definitely need to work on that..." His tail flicked nervously and he shifted restlessly, knowing he had to tell her now or never. He swallowed the lump in his throat and said "A-actually, I know plenty about the new wolf pack. They came from the same place Aela, Pyre and I came from a couple of years ago. They're ShadowPack and I used to be one of them until I left." He lowered his eyes. "That's why Killua was here, to kill me in return for turning my back on them and to assure that I didn't tell any of their secrets. He's there too. Anything you want to know about them, just say it and I'll tell you." his claws dug into the pelt. "We can't trust them for even a second, especially with the way Artemis began acting towards the end." his raised his gaze again to meet Lucifers. "She was very clear about her wanting to hurt this pack. I don't know if the alpha shares those views but in the mean time we have to be very cautious. If they wanted me dead and they know that I'm still alive I don't know what they will do."

Lucifer felt her chest tighten slightly at that, she'd known they'd come from a foreign place but not the exact area, "Pyre and Aela come from shadowpack with you?" Her brain was swirling with the fact that they nearly killed Nova because they simply knew him and wanted him dead. Her thoughts were reeling slightly, leaning back slightly to grasp everything the male told her. "They won't step paw near my pack. I ask you stay here for the meeting tomorrow with them, I can't risk a fight breaking out. I need a good wolf to watch over camp, I'll be taking Pyre and Adsila. Unless you need one of them here?"

"No, Aela and Pyre came from a pack to the north of ShadowPack. They happened to leave around the same time I needed to so I joined them and we stuck together since then," Nova explained. The knot in his chest came undone when he saw she wasn't angry with him, and he let out a heavy breath of relief. "I don't mind staying, but I don't think you ought to take Pyre." He felt a bit guilty for saying so but didn't regret it "She's been temperamental lately and we shouldn't take the chance, if you don't mind me saying. And since she and Adsila arent on good terms, ShadowPack might think we are not a united front against them and think of us as weak." He also wanted to talk with Pyre and figure out what was going on with her.

Aela | Scout | 4 | F

Aela bounded into camp, splashing through the stream and with a big smile on her face. "Everyone, look who's back!" she called and slowed to a stop in the middle of the camp. She turned to the two wolves on her tail, one pale furred and the other dark. Both were out of breath but laughing and gazing around with big eyes. "Welcome home Sky, Gem," she trilled and touched her nose to each of theirs again. She'd found them napping beneath a tree on her patrol and had attacked them with great delight, showering them in licks and nuzzles while they tried to escape and get their bearings all in one. Once the brothers had realized that they were not in fact under attack but were rather being greeted by an over enthusiastic she-wolf they had returned the affection and raced her back to camp (losing spectacularly in the process). Sky grinned lazily "It looks just the same as four moons ago." His brother, Gem, nodded in agreement, his copper eyes glowing with happiness.

Arielle blinked her eyes open, unaware that she had taken her time on the rock to nap. As her vision came back to her, her eyes chanced upon the two returned young Nobles, eyes wide with delight. She stood, stretched, and slunk gracefully from the stone. "Gem, Sky," she chirped, trotting happily over to the pair, tail wagging in the process. She stopped in front of the lighter-pelted male first, touching noses with him happily. She shuffled to his brother and did the same with him, her large, dark eyes meeting with his copper ones.

Lucifer nodded slightly at the statement, her head whipping towards camp where Aela's voice sprung forth. Her brows knitting in confusion as she mentioned someone being 'home'. "I'll bring Aela along then, that you for the input Nova, we can discuss more later?" Her head dipped in a dismissal, rising to touch noses with her new beta before bounding towards and out of her den in only a blur. Catching sight of two familiar young wolves standing by her scout. "Sky!! Gem!" She woofed out before, literately, tackling the two and nuzzling into both almost pup-like. Soon though, the alpha composed herself again, backing up and sitting. "Welcome back! Oh and while everyone is here." Her muzzle rose and let out a howl, allowing it to echo between packs. "Welcome Duskfall's new beta!! NOVA!!" Her voice held no remorse, only glee.

Pyre padded over to the brothers, touching noses quietly with both. The last time they had seen her, she was as mischievous and energetic as ever, wishing the two newly named nobles luck on their journey, along with their father, Solomon, who watched them proudly. Her heart sank, Solomon...they didnt know. She smiled softly at them "Hi you two, welcome home."

Sky and Gem both touched noses with Pyre, greeting her cheerily. They hadn't forgotten the mischief the three of them had gotten into. Then they turned to Arielle. His tail wagging a mile a minute, Gem smiled down at Arielle, though he noticed she was almost as tall as them now. He tilted his head and peered into her dark eyes for a few moments longer before saying "Yep! You definitely got cuter Arielle. It's great to be back," and butting heads with her gently. He'd missed their younger playmate and had often envisioned what the brothers reunion with her would be like. He hadn't expected her to be so...grown up. He didn't have much time to say anything else before Lucifer suddenly tackled them. He managed to lick her shoulder affectionately amongst the tangle of limbs, laughing airily while Sky complained about his newly windswept pelt being messed up again. Standing up, he gazed at Lucifer in surprise as she announced Nova as the new beta. He, Sky and Aela raised their voices in congratulatory howls, Aela pouncing on Nova as he emerged from the alphas den and biting his good ear playfully. "Congrats!" she squealed. Sky met Gems eyes and they shared grins, hearts lighter than they had been for moons. There really was no place like home.
