Pyre limped back towards camp, her head low in thought as she figured ways to make sure no one was blamed for the failed hunt. Pyre had had enough time to scratch the target's thigh before tripping over her own paws and rolling away to keep herself from receiving too much damage on impact with the ground. {It just wasn't a lucky hunt}, Pyre had thought, as the elderly cow - despite all her old and corroding joints - completely juked Aela and Keahi out of their paws, pivoting on her back hooves and leaping behind them, running back for the calf and mother and bounding away.

After bringing the elk to camp, Lucifer announced her doing a solo patrol of Shadowpack border before trotting off with her tail high and wagging. She said no exceptions to the matter and disappeared from sight once again. -gawd that was short-

(I was waited for you to reply to the hunt Fir >o< oh wells. Gotta have a failed hunt sometime!)

Aela padded alongside Pyre and nudged her with her shoulder, a bright smile on her face. "Hey, don't hang your head so low. Everyone loses a hunt once in a while. Plus that trip of yours was totally worth it!" she threw her head back and laughed, not feeling disappointed at the hunt at all. Some rather cheerful howls had told her that the other group had been successful, and this way the apprentices would have the glory all to themselves. Her dark golden tail wagged happily. Looking at her russet sister, she suddenly remembered something. "If the apprentices graduate, that means that Arielle won't be your apprentice anymore. Not that she really needed training these past two months. Think you'll feel lonely?". At that moment she felt a sharp pain in her stomach, as though a talon had been driven into her gut. She gave a small gasp in pain, but then it was gone as soon as it had appeared. How odd.

Gem smirked at Arielles challenge. "Let me win? Underestimate my abilities why don't you," he joked. His amber eyes flashed with silent laughter and he felt a warm pull in his belly. Looking at his fellow apprentice, his pelt suddenly felt very hot and he looked away quickly. Dammit, I shoulda known this would happen he thought to himself with a degree of exasperation. But he felt no inclination to deny these feelings. Rather, he was interested to let them develop and find out what happens.

Sky looked at Tyrael in surprise and felt a grin form on his face from the praise. "Thanks!" he said, and dipped his head to the older wolf. " One can always do with more battle training in my opinion so I'll have to take you up on that offer sometime." He followed Tyraels gaze to Gem and Arielle and shook his head with a sigh. "We could steal their own pelts without them noticing, with the way they've been lately," he snickered.

Arielle | Female | 13 months | Apprentice [ STB Noble ]

"You underestimate mine," Arielle stated, winking at the black male. She hadn't even meant to do it, but she didn't regret the action. The she-wolf picked the back leg up again, motioning with her head for Gem to get the other one. Her ears began to bloom red as the apprentice's gaze held, admiring the inner complexity of the seemingly simple black. The male's pelt had definitely and obviously changed since they were younger and the brothers had left. The thick winter fur concealed her brightening ears, and she was glad for it.

Pyre glanced up as her sister spoke and she nodded quietly "Yah yah, my fancy footwork was superb." When Atlanta mentioned Arial let graduating she frowned "I think I will be lonely. But, her and the boys will be joining me as nobles - so I won't be alone."

Gem blinked, not letting his excitement show through his facial features. He bent and picked up the other leg, helping his pack mates drag it back to camp. It felt weightless, what with the adrenaline from the hunt and his light heartedness at talking with Arielle.

Aela looked thoughtful "yeah, that's true. I'm the only scout so it would probably be lonely if I didn't like the solitude sometimes." (ugh so short. sorry)

Lucifer had returned to camp covered in snow and her ears back in embarrassment. She froze slightly as she entered camp when the VERY faint boom went off, her lips curling back slightly. She momentarily looked towards shadowpack before back to her camp, and noting everyone there but one wolf. "Where is Aela?" She said with a flick of her tail, fur puffing out slightly.

(Every pack is betraying it's own.. Aela x Soren , Lucifer x Killua, Coquin x SURPRISE! XD)

Nova | Beta | Mentions Lucifer and apprentices
Nova glanced around but he didn't see his golden pelted friend anywhere. He frowned. "She must have gone on patrol." He gave Lucifer a questioning look. He'd thought that Aela had gone with the alpha somewhere but if Lucifer had returned alone then obviously not. The male looked at the soon-to-graduate apprentices. "Arielle, Sky, Gem, get this elk cow buried in the snow so it stays fresh for tomorrow." The two brothers nodded and began digging in the snow beside the prey pile. Nova flicked his ears and glanced at the western mountain, where the boom had come from. He recognized the sound from his ShadowPack days. "The firestick sound came from their territory, not ours," he mentioned to Lucifer. "I don't think there's any cause for concern but we should be on guard anyway."

Pyre raised her head immediately "What was that?" She murmured, her ears pinned against her head. She had rubbed a poultice on her twisted ankle and was resting it in a tree near where Lucider had entered. She stared incredulously at Lucifer's strange appearance and blinked in worry before hearing her. "I think she's scouting at the border." Her eyes widened in worry and she leaped down, her ankle protesting with a numb streak of pain. "I'm going. She's my sister and I can match her speed, somewhat." Pyre turned to run, and spotted Nova "Nova, are you good enough to help me find Aela?"
