Sign Ups Click here for Duskfall And Sunrise Pack Sign Ups/Access Gathering place Chat thread ShadowPacks territory comprises of sprawling, green woodland where the trees are spaced far apart and the undergrowth is rich in plants and critters. Numerous streams trickle through their glens and glades, providing life to the forest throughout all the seasons. In winter snow blankets the ground and ice laces the edges of the streams, muting the natural sounds of the forest and giving everything an ethereal look. Herds of deer and the occasional wild boar forage and provide food for the more predatory beings that reside here, while squirrels and turkeys provide hearty snacks. ShadowPack has made its camp in the heart of the forest where all is quiet save for the trill of bird and the humming of insects. Dens dug out beneath the roots of mighty firs and within ancient trunks provide shelter. This packs border is close to the nearby Duskfall Pack, and the mountain range of the Sunrise Pack can be seen from higher points. Vex // Rogue He gave a single snort of amusement at her words, "Make fun of me if you wish, It doesn't bother me..." He lowered his ears back slightly, "Oh I wasn't trying to call you weak miss!! You just seemed nervous and a bit scared.. Im not good with words sometimes it seems.." His eyes widened at the mention of her father being killed before her, "Human's aren't the best most of the time." He shuddered slightly at the thought, "Trapping and killing wolves for sport." His lips curled, though him and his old pack had pretty much done the same. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Shayla smiled "All forgiven. I won't deny that I'm nervous. It can't be helped really." she released a long breath and fixed her eyes determinedly on their path. She could smell the border line coming up and had her ears pricked on alert for any Duskfall wolves. "Humans are the natural enemies of wolves and back at our old territory we had a long standing war with the humans nearby. It's a blood born hatred for them. They line their dens with our pelts, so it's only fair we destroy them in return." Her eyes glimmered with a darkness unlike her sunny personality. She was glad that Vex understood matters such as this, or he might not have been ready for what was inevitably going to happen. "Returning this snare to the humans isn't just to insult them, you should know," she said as they walked. "The snare was on Sunrise territory. Meruem is going to make bloodspill between them and the humans- hit two birds with one stone. It might backlash so I hope you're ready for it." They reached the border and she stopped at the scent line, looking at Vex with a playful grin "I hope you're as good at sneaking as Illumi says!" 0 players like this post! Like? |

Vex listened quietly, the only thing showing he was, was the every so often twitching of ears. His eyes widened slightly at the mention of the humans attacking the other pack nearby... He had thought he heard the howls of pups one night passing by but had ignored it. "Lead the way Shay." He chuckled before all signs of tension left his body. Dropping into a crouch not known by many, it was halfway between a hunter's crouch and one of a battle position. Some called it 'nightshade' he simply called it the 'whispering wind'. His eyes flickered to her before gently taking the snare from Shayla and walking off without a sound. Seemingly melting in and out of sight through the shadows and patches of moonlight. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Shayla followed closely behind Vex, watching his stealth crouch with fascination. She'd never seen a technique like that before, but had to admit that it was effective. If she didnt have her eyes on him she wouldn't even know he was there. Her own sneaking technique was much different. She kept only her head and tail low, and shifted her weight with every step so opposing ankles took the strain and allowed for a walk with only necessary movement, as though she was gliding across the terrain. She found that keeping too low to the ground limited her hearing and range of sight as a tracker, so she preferred this style of sneaking where she could drop to the ground in a moment if needed. She flicked her ears sideways towards the Sunrise border, signalling Vex to move that way. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Vex had barely caught her signal, as he had to fix the rope before it hit the ground. He shifted slightly moving towards the Sunrise border, but not to close. He flicked his ears and tail before slowing and stopping near a bush. His eyes on the pack border where a few (NPC) wolves were talking and being near the border. His claws dug into the earth and waited, after a bit and his muscles had begun to ache they continued their patrol. Releasing a sharp inhale he continued forwards a bit slower that time, still melting in and out of sight. To others outside his birthpack it seemed downright amazing, but to them it was natural. Having been taught it since birth. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Shayla stayed within the cover of a large shrub until the enemy patrol had moved on, though her heart was hammering away inside her chest and pumping her body full of adrenaline. Doing something troublesome like that was always far more exciting than tracking a deer or wolverine. When they finally reached the border, she paid attention to each of her senses; tasting the air, listening to the breeze and scanning every visible hiding place in sight until she was sure that they were far from any patrols for the time being. "Let's go," she murmured to Vex and stepped across the border. "Over that ridge is the human place. We're not too far off." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Rounded ears turned towards Shayla, flicking them once before 'melting' after her. His eyes watching every little movement there was for signs of patrol and the like. He looked to the ridge, indeed it wasn't far at all. Though getting past the pack without any trouble would be the hard part. -short sorry- 0 players like this post! Like? |

(skip to past the ridge) Shayla crouched down low on the crest of the ridge, the breeze ruffling her white fur and making her narrow her eyes to avoid them watering. She felt like hot flames were flickering within her veins at the sight of the human den, though whether they were fanned by anger or fear she didn't know. "That's it," she uttered grimly to Vex, and pointed her injured paw towards the fields of sheep behind the den. "And those are the beasts you're after. Try to do it as fast as possible; the humans have dogs that will raise the alarm if they detect you and then the humans will bring out their firesticks." She repressed a shudder at the thought. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Vex // Rogue Taking in a sharp breath the male darted off, a bit of dust following for a second before it dissipated and the male was completely out of sight. The snare hung from his mouth as he wove and dove under and between bushes with ease. Completely focused on a smaller sheep before him that had wondered to far from the flock. No dogs in sight. Strange... He crept forwards slowly, the sheep looking towards the herd instead of paying attention to it's surroundings. The male slunk across the ground, making a sharp but quiet yip. Alarmed the sheep turned, before it could utter a noise other then a gurgle it's throat was ripped out and blood dripping from the wolves lips. He froze as something creaked nearby, grabbing the carcass and dragging it ever so slowly towards the bush and setting to where it appeared to be sleeping before hiding. A dog walked by, paying no mind to anything as it walked, Even stranger... Why isn't it checking the blood? He concluded the dog just had no sense of smell before setting to chewing the sheep's head off, with a few muffled snaps and rips the head was off with the rope dangling over it's head. He picked up both, creeping towards the house slowly. Trotting along the white fence so he'd blend in better, the below-average sized male ended up at the front doorstep with two near sightings and placed the sheep head and snare down on it. He took in a sharp breath as something moved near the doorway, jumping to rest against the side of the house. The door opened, but the tall man didn't notice the head or snare just yet. Vex waited, the brute eyeing the man as he stepped inside the house before jumping the fence again and heading towards the headless carcass a few meters off. The moonlit male found it without trouble and grabbed hold of it before dragging it back to Shayla and sitting down before her. "Was that good?" 0 players like this post! Like? (You too Fir ^_^) Shayla jumped to her paws, tail wagging and eyes shining in admiration "That was great!" she exclaimed with an awe filled voice. She glanced past him to the farm house and was relieved to see that the humans hadnt discovered the head or snare yet. Her paw twinged with pain and she felt a savage moment of triumph that they had one upped the hairless monsters. She grabbed the front legs of the sheep and dragged it to the bottom of the ridge, out of sight and hiding its scent from the wind. Her tongue swiped streaks of blood from her muzzle and she ignored the watering of her mouth at the sweet taste. "We could take the sheep back to camp but I think it'd be better to leave its carcass somewhere between here and Sunrises camp. Sneaking past two borders with it and leaving tracks for the humans to follow would be too dangerous." She met his eyes again with a smile "Lets eat and make it look convincing!" 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 02/01/16 @ 04:06:11 by Sunfire (#26490) |

Vex // Rogue His tail wagged at the praise he received from the stranger, his mouth watering at the chance to eat it. "Gladly!" He waited for her to begin before ripping into various parts of the sheep with a swinging tail. Blood covered his maw and chest afterwards, "We should cross Sunrise's border and rinse off in the stream not far from the border, that way the hounds can't track us!" He chuckled darkly, eyes roaming towards the farm, "Ready when you are miss." He dipped down into a bow and gave a wolfish grin. -shorttt sorry- 0 players like this post! Like? |

Shayla ate her fill until her pelt became a patchwork of ivory and crimson. She had forgotten how delicious sheep was! It had far more fat than deer, though the itchy wool wasn't too pleasant. At Vex's words she raised her head and nodded "Good idea. It'd be best to get a move on before complete nightfall as well." She gave the ravaged carcass one last smug look before padding away. Hopefully the humans would find it before the Sunrise wolves did, and she knew who would take the blame for it. Meruem may be lenient on her own pack but she could definitely be ruthless when she wanted to. After crossing the border she followed the sound of the stream until she reached its swift moving waters, and waded in to her shoulders. The cold water was a shock to her warm pelt and she had to stifle a bark of shock. Looking back at Vex, she forced a smile. "C-come on...t-the waters great!" she grinned shakily, then ducked beneath the water to make sure every inch of her pelt got washed clean. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Vex sat back for a moment, watching the fae practically shaking in the water. Giving a small chuckle of amusement before jumping in, thinking best to fully immerse himself instead of a bit at a time. He took in a sharp breath as he popped up above the water, shaking slightly and moving around until it wasn't as cold and ducked under. Waiting until he couldn't hold his breath any longer and popped up once more. His ears pinned back slightly as he plunged through the stream to get to the shore, shaking until he was sure most of the water was gone. "Yea. Great my butt." He muttered, licking his shoulder a few times and turning back to Shayla, ears flicking to an alarmed woof nearby. "Shall we?" He chuckled, jumping the stream and trotting through Sunrise territory towards the next border. 0 players like this post! Like? |
