Raphael watched Jazzlyn with a shocked expression of disbelief. 'Illumi and Killua? OUR Illumi and Killua? Played hide and seek?!" he asked, then laughed and shook his head. "You've got talent kid." His forelegs slid across the ground as he bent his back in a long stretch, eyes shut and ears flat. He stood again and shook his pelt, feeling refreshed just from being on home turf again. Though he wouldn't feel completely satisfied until he saw their alpha again and reported.

Illumi | Gamma
Illumi entered the camp, immensely glad but at the same time disappointed not to be alone with Vex any longer. The electric tension he had picked up between them had been pushing his self control to the limits. Any longer and he might have pounced on the rogue, though he had no idea where it would have gone from there. Violence or...a different kind of violence (0///0 ahhh). He saw Isis and Raphael had returned and were talking to Jazz, though he didn't see Artemis yet. Good. He didn't want her to scare away the fascinating male he had stumbled upon. "Come,' he murmured to Vex and brushed his tail along his flank, padding forward towards the trio. (short, sorry!)

Killua | Gamma

Killua lifted his head at the sound of returning pawsteps and bounded over to his brother, his tail wagging in greetig "Finally, Illumi. That execution took longer than usu.... who's this" he bared his teeth at the stranger and his eyes bore into the male's pelt, his own blue eyes a darker blue than Vex's seemed to be, whether it be from malicious intent or just his deep blue color.

Artemis | Delta

Artemis followed the other two into camp "Oh brotherrrs~" her voice had a genuinely sweet tone, but there was the familiar hint of an evil chuckle and the silky sweet tone had an underlying of malice. "It seems you've failed. Shadowpack doesnt tolerate failure, but i guess it all depends on sister for now." Her teeth bared into a sinister smile and her gaze passed over the stranger, her green eyes bearing into his "Brother. Dont tell me youve gone and brought a loner into the pack after failing the pack." Artemis' tongue spread around her lips, itching to dispatch the loner if he didnt have something to offer the pack, and fast.

Illumi stepped in front of Vex and glowered at Killua and Illumi, his tail beginning to sway gently in anger "Failed? I don't know what you're talking about," he said in a silky tone that didnt match his body language. "This is Vex. He wishes to join the pack and from what I saw of his skill in a few seconds he would be a worthy addition. Not that it has anything to do with you." His lips peeled back in a snarl and his eyes darkened to a pitch black like the depths of the sea. If Artemis went for the rogue she'd be met with more than just a bit of resistance.

Vex felt his pelt heat up as the males tail brushed across his flank, ignoring the glares he was getting from the others. The wolf that came into view, obviously not happy with his presense, was soon blocked off. He snorted slightly, touching his nose slowly to Ilumi's flank as the male protected him from his packmates. "I can speak for myself." His now monotone voice held an underlying amusement within. He stepped up beside Illumi, just a bit smaller then the male, standing strong and looking to Artemis, his head bowed down before raising. "As he said, I'm Vex. I wish to join this pack, no need for the violence miss. Im not here to harm any of you." Besides this hunk of a wolf beside me. -wink wink- (XD Illumi is SO adorable when confused and flirty and protective <3) His eyes trailed the wolves, looking for the alpha, "I wish to speak to your alpha." He may have seem distracted but was as alert as ever.

Artemis bared her teeth in another sly grin "Shes out. Im the highest rank until their patrol returns." She tore her gaze from the male to Illumi "Yes. Failed. Nova lives, and is rather well if i do say so myself. With the added bonus of a HUMAN contraption around his neck. Hes missing an ear and has a limp, but you fools didnt finish him!" She bared her teeth and readied to leap at Killua, who upon hearing the news, bowed his head in submission, ready to recieve punishment - it was normal, you f**k up, you paid the consequences, and this new information worried him, not only had they screwed their cover, but Nova was still living.

Meruem | Alpha | Mentions Vex
"She is here," Meruem said from behind Illumi and Vex, having been watching for the last minute from the shelter of the treeline. She looked unusually pleased with herself, with her head held high and her eyes shining like green orbs in the half darkness. She padded around to stand beside Artemis and Killua, her mottled pelt in strong contrast with Killuas white pelt. Her gaze flicked between Illumi and Vex, noticing the close way they were standing and the defensive stance Illumi had taken when Artemis had shown hostility towards the rogue. It was a very interesting sight, and one she had never seen Illumi do apart from when he was protecting Killua. Curiosity flaring, she fixed her gaze on the rogue. "Vex, huh? You've gotten Illumi to vouch for you which earns a private discussion in my den at the very least. Follow me." She flicked her tail at Vex, Artemis and Illumi, motioning for them to follow her, and walked to her den, disappearing inside it.

Vex // Rogue // Mentions: Pack in general

He noted the way the mother and pup looked after the group trailing into the alpha's den. Worry clenching in his gut for a moment before keeping just as close to Illumi as ever and following the brute into the den. Spacing himself from the others near the edge of the den, refusing to walk in further as he wasn't part of the pack and he didn't feel comfortable around all these wolves at once. 2 to 3 of them giving him hungry looks as if they'd attempt to rip him apart with one wrong word. His gaze flicked to 2 he didn't know, "Alpha." He greeted with a dip of his head, "Did W-..." He paused, glancing at the black male, "Did I do anything wrong? I apologize in advance." He wanted to be on the good side of Illumi's pack, they all seemed to have deadly accuracy like himself, though he hid it better.

"Sister, it seems we have failed. By law we should be punished, and although we are no longer in the main pack, we cannot just abandon the ways that have guided and kept shadowpack strong all these generations. I speak for myself and Illumi when i say that we wil accept your punishment, Nova lives and we no longer have access in the packs." Killua bowed his head and waited for an answer, while his first few remarks sounded reasonable, he was also testing his sister's leadership. Her acceptance of so many rogues, and shadowpack sending her, Artemis and a few others to the brothers position to start anther branch of shadowpack, it was fishy to say the least. Meruem accepting so many, he needed to reaffirm her loyalty to the long tested ways of shadowpack.

Meruem scrutinized Vex from her place in the den, noting the wariness in his movements as he situated himself strategically by the entrance. He was no stranger to danger, she could tell. "No need to apologize," she said and glanced at Illumi "You may call me Meruem. My brother seems to have taken a liking to you, a very rare occurrence. I take your being here as a sign that you wish to join my pack. You may, one a condition." her eyes narrowed "No wolf may join this pack without proving absolute loyalty first. In a valley over a ridge on the other side of Duskfalls territory is a human place. On their border by a large oak tree I have left a snare which they used to trap one of my wolves this evening. You will take it to their den and leave it with the head of one of their sheep, send them a nice message." A wicked smile spread across her face. "Get seen and you will not be allowed back. If you agree to this, go outside the den. My gamma, Shayla, will be waiting." She noticed that Illumi was looking very smug. Did he have that much confidence in this wolf? She found herself looking forward to what might happen.

She then listened to what Killua said, and looked at Illumi. "Anything to add, brother?" she growled in an icy tone. Illumi nodded and stood, his ear tips brushing the roof of the den.
"There was no failure, Meruem. I purposely left our uncle alive." He cast a chilling look at his brother "Do you really think I am so unskilled as to miss, Kil? He put up a good fight, and traitor or no he is still our family. I left him with the tiniest bit of hope as I was interested in seeing if he would pull through." he smiled coldly at Meruem. "It appears he did, and that only makes the game more fun, sister. Killua speaks for himself in accepting punishment if he is so afraid of the consequences to come. I am not."

Meruem sighed when he finished speaking. She was hardly surprised that he had done something like this. "Your orders came from Shadow, not me," she said finally. "The fact that you did not fulfill them is not my problem. But if you ever do something that makes any one of us question your competence again I will take your punishment upon myself personally, Illumi." Her flinty gaze left no room for argument and the inky black male bowed his head to her. Meruem turned her stare onto Killua. "I know you what you are thinking brother. You are concerned about keeping up the traditions of the pack, no? I do not blame you. You have come upon many changes." She stood and walked over to Killua, "Raise your head. Losing access to the packs is not something for us to worry about. Both packs had wolves that knew us, from RiverPack and Silver Moon Pack, and thus you have not failed me nor ShadowPack. No law has been broken and no way has been abandoned. And while I am in control that will never happen, not by loyal wolves of mine. Understand?"

Killua, not quite satisfied with her answer, raised his head and gave a curt nod in response. He glared at Illumi "You fool, whether he is blood or not, we had a job! What was that you were telling to Jazz, only a little bit ago, about following orders no matter what? Brother, do not find yourself so bored as to disregard your own morals."

Vex sucked in a sharp breath before nodding slightly, slowly rising, listening to the bickering inside before finding the gamma outside as Meruem had stated. "Shayla correct? Take me to this human camp if you will." He held himself high, but lower then the gamma herself seeing as he was a rogue still. His fur grew cold at being away from Illumi even the slightest bit of time, a soft sigh exiting his lips as he looked inside it before moving after the she, hoping to keep up even the slightest conversation to keep any awkward moments away, unless she asked about something that'd make it so.

Shayla nodded "Will do. Follow me!" She padded away, trying to keep her composure. From what she'd heard inside the den, Illumi liked this wolf. And for her who had known Illumi his entire life that was like hedgehogs learning how to fly or Artemis getting a sense of humour (>:D). She threw small looks Vex's way as they walked. He did look pretty strong and if the other packs gave them trouble it would be great having more wolves on their side. Her ears twitched as they picked up his small sigh. "Vex right? I didn't know you and Illumi were close." She grinned sheepishly "I couldn't help but eavesdrop. It'd be great if you did join. So whats your story? Not many loners willingly wander onto ShadowPack territory you know.." She planned on asking many questions not just to get him to open up but to distract her from the fact that they were going to a human farm again. She had a deathly fear of the place and the stinging cut on her paw, and the constant ache in her heart reminded her with every step of the damage the humans could do. But orders were orders and she'd fulfill them. There was no point in hesitating and dragging it out.

His ears flicked to acknowledge his name, "Oh uh kinda..." Reallll long hour or so... He couldn't help but notice the worry and fear rolling off her at the mention of the human place. "Im hoping to join, it'd be a great expirence for me to learn then I already have." He faltered at the mention of his story, "In due time Shayla. Wander onto your territory? More like I was pulled here, something deep down within in was compelling me to come here, something special lies within your borders that my mind wants." He let that topic rest, taking in a settling breath and looking up, "I won't let them harm you Shayla, I'm tougher then I look." He gave her a sheepish smile as well, not wanting to piss the fae off, knowing one of her secrets...

"Pfft!" Shayla couldn't help but laugh. She returned his smile "Sorry, I'm not making fun of you. I don't know if we have anything special apart from some bloodier than most history and less common sense than you'd expect from an ancient pack." She dropped her gaze at his last words and her ears pinned back for a second, her pride flaring. "I'm not weak," she said, swishing her tail in irritation that was more directed at herself than at him. "I can protect myself physically. I just have bad memories of humans. My father was killed by one in front of me when I was younger."
