Sign Ups Click here for Duskfall And Sunrise Pack Sign Ups/Access Gathering place Chat thread ShadowPacks territory comprises of sprawling, green woodland where the trees are spaced far apart and the undergrowth is rich in plants and critters. Numerous streams trickle through their glens and glades, providing life to the forest throughout all the seasons. In winter snow blankets the ground and ice laces the edges of the streams, muting the natural sounds of the forest and giving everything an ethereal look. Herds of deer and the occasional wild boar forage and provide food for the more predatory beings that reside here, while squirrels and turkeys provide hearty snacks. ShadowPack has made its camp in the heart of the forest where all is quiet save for the trill of bird and the humming of insects. Dens dug out beneath the roots of mighty firs and within ancient trunks provide shelter. This packs border is close to the nearby Duskfall Pack, and the mountain range of the Sunrise Pack can be seen from higher points. (We can go with the original plan if thats the case. Also Fir sign up Alec) TWO MONTHS LATER Meruem padded from her den and stretched in the biting cold air. Being well into winter meant that the night frost no longer melted into dew and so crystalline patterns glittered in the dawn light over tree trunks and fern fronds. Even the ground beneath her paws was freezing. Her breath puffed out in front of her in a white cloud as her bright eyes scanned the camp to see who was awake. She wanted to oversee a training session between the shadow-born and their trainees, especially young Jazzlyn. The gathering was also coming up soon and she needed to select the attending wolves with great thought. (hee hee >:D) 0 players like this post! Jazzlyn It had been a month since her mom left with Shayla, a month since she had progressed in her training. She was wide awake at the edge of camp, waiting for anyone to wake up. "Morning alpha!" (I changed it to two moon so we don't have to skip twice lol) Meruem twitched a black furred ear "Good morning Jazzlyn," she replied in a calm tone and curled her banded tail over her paws to keep them warm. "I'd expect Isis and Shayla to return any day now, if everything went well on their travels. It may be a few days yet." She gave the cub an appraising look, her gem-like eyes unreadable. "Why don't you get some practice in and show me those tricks? I'd like to see what my brothers have been teaching you." Illumi and Killua had some unconventional training methods, she knew, though they had trained quite a few pups into fine pack assets in their birthpack. She had yet to see the fruits of their efforts with Jazzlyn and was curious as to if the cub had what it took to be a spy like her mentors. Jazzlyn bounced around, "ok!! I can show you at sun high! I even know a few that they didn't teach me!!" Her tail swung behind her as she bounded into the woods to practice her moves to show the alpha at sun high. Her paws not making a sound as she ran through the woods, a scent hit her nose and she paused, head tilted before following it quietly. _short_ 0 players like this post! Like? |

Meruem watched Jazzlyn go, feeling a dull glow of amusement in her chest. Her nature had been growing worse over the past two moons, becoming more glass-like and less warm. Not that she'd been warm to begin with. Now it was as though her feelings were trapped behind a glass wall and not reaching the surface. Meruem "Killua, wake up," Meruem said in a bored tone, not bothering to lower her voice. She wished to discuss certain matters with her beta and didn't appreciate that he was lying there looking so...unconcerned. Her gaze flicked to Illumi's dark form which was curled close to Killua but also Vex. His onyx eyes were peering back at her, having woken up from the first sound of her pawsteps. He seemed to get the message and uncurled himself from his nest. A slim paw reached over to Killua and covered his nose, inhibiting his breathing. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Meruem flicked a scrap of moss from Killuas shoulder with her tail, a small smile on her face. "Let's go for a walk, Kilu." she said simply and led the way to the camp entrance. She hadn't patrolled the territory for a while and felt like some privacy with her brother. (Oi sign up Alec so we can have them return after the gathering. Or before :) ) 0 players like this post! Vex had woken but remained curled up near illumi, once the warmth left however he lifted his head slowly to peer at the others lazily. Watching before laying back down and laying his tail over his nose. 0 players like this post! Like? |

(You wanna say that they are mates now? all officialz? ;D) Illumi blew air into Vex's ear, a rare mischievous look to his face. Now that he was awake he didn't want to go back to sleep. At the same time he tapped his tail tip against Artemis' face, making it his mission to wake up his packmates in some rather annoying ways.
