Dear ◄Head Shot► members, The roleplay will take place here. We beg you mention your character's name, location and mentioning of other characters before every post to avoid confusion and facilitate the following of separated plot lines. Example: Piper Ederwin ~ Location: City Center ~ Mentioned: Scarlett Deever We also suggest you pay attention to the updates. The areas where Danger Events are about to take place will be marked with a skull next to their name before it happens. Thank you and have fun! Sign Up Thread OOC Thread Updates: ~ Dean Ederwin, Piper Ederwin, William Grey & Theodore Weaver have drawn a herd out of Noxton City. Zombies might be soon crowding the Highway, keep an eye out! Current Season: Summer Current Locations Available The City Noxton City. Though it took a couple of days for people here to even believe that the outbreak was actually happen everyone surely wanted to be the first to flee when zombies started appearing. Of course, not many of them made it out as the main route out of the city got absolutely stuck in a traffic jam the city had never seen before. Even if it is pretty filled with infected, some streets are clear enough and in such a big place there must surely be a lot of stuff worth scavenging for. ![]() This highway can take you many, many miles away from Noxton. It is through here that the lucky ones to get out of Noxton on time went driving, trying to find greener pastures. Ironic, seeing as how the Highway crosses for the majority of its length through the rural areas of the state. ![]() Large open fields, ponds and valleys. They surround the highway. Sprawled over, sometimes two or three miles apart from each other stand different farms. Many home to the infected, someones completely destroyed by scavengers, others healthy and offering good shelter for the night. In the rural areas we can also find the woods and some small towns. ![]() They are dispersed through the rural areas and not completely connected meaning we have small, medium and large sections. There are several creeks and streams, some of which might produce flash floods in the wet season and other which might dry during the summer, making it difficult to obtain water. Here you can find different game: squirrels, hares, deer and of course, zombies. ![]() This town is located in the rural area, approximately 300 hundred miles away from Noxton City. It is abandoned and there are some zombies around, or maybe many and you just haven't noticed. There is a pharmacy, a gas station and a general goods store. But are there any supplies left? ![]() Character SheetsNo thread generated. Piper Ederwin | Female | 23 | Location: Noxton City, almost out | Mentions: Dean Ederwin, William Grey The blond haired girl kept close watch on the man, reading his expressions. She, unlike her brother who was simply ignoring this little detail, was a little bit confused by the ever shifting eyes of the man. Either he was extremely nervous or Dean had something funny on his face, no other possibilities were seriously considered, yet. She also saw the pleading in his eyes, they were honest, she was very sure about that and although she did not lower her gun. She did address her brother, "Hey, I think its fine" Those four words of hers were enough for Dean to lower his gun and return it to its place. Dean turned his head and looked at his sister. He spoke to her but loud enough for William to listen, "He does anything funny, you pull that trigger" His voice was serious but certainly he was a little bit less tense after what Piper had told him. He really did trust his sister's word. The command he replied with wasn't really needed, Piper knew what she had to do but she also knew Dean had said it out loud to stomp out any ideas the stranger might have had of indeed doing, as Dean had called it, something funny. She looked as her brother walked over to the man, a little bit shorter than him, and inspected his body with his green eyes making sure that he indeed was not bit. He proceeded to tap his arms and sides as well as shoulder blades, the same way policemen do arrested people. Apparently he had found nothing, assumption Piper confirmed with Dean's next comment, "Nah, he is clean" he said. Then, quickly, Dean grabbed hold of the two knives the stranger was carrying and took some steps away from him. That was when Piper lowered her gun, walked over to her brother and took the knives, putting them together with her own. "Sorry man, can't have you with any weapons around us." Dean said, looking at the stranger and much more relaxed now that he was unarmed. Apparently he had not only looked out for bites but also for his weapons. "Name's Dean, she is Piper" he said, swiftly pointing to the blonde with a head movement. ![]() |

William Gray ~ Male ~ 24 ~ Location: Noxton City ~ Mentions: Dean and Piper Ederwin William tensed when Dean walked over to him, his blue eyes widening and his breath catching in his throat. He refused to meet Dean's gaze at any point of the "search" and instead looked at the gun being pointed right between his eyes. When Dean walked away with his knives he reached out. "Hey come on. Just. At least the hunting knife. You can keep the pocket knife for all I care but not the hunting one. It was my dad's. Call it sentiment if you will but I need it. "There was a bit of anger seeping into his voice though that was only because he felt as if he was being treated like an escaped prisoner. Taking a deep breath he shook his head. "Whatever. It's not worth it" He bit his lip slightly and nodded to Piper. "Will. Nice to meet you" Even though it wasn't. It soooooo had not been nice to meet them. The circumstances were not in his favor. His truck was a goner and now the only protection he had was too. He leaned back against the truck, still rather uncomfortable with Dean's gaze. God did he always look at people like that? Maybe it was just his eyes. William, now only a bit more comfortable that the guns were gone, met Dean's green eyes with his blue ones, just trying to study the man. He then turned his head to watch Piper, though not as intently. He could tell that both of them would still kill him if the need arised. Once he had done that he just leaned his head back, looking to the sky, wondering what it might have been like if he had met these two under different circumstances. ![]() |

Dean Ederwin ~ 27 ~ Location: Noxton City, about to leave ~ Mentions: William Gray, Piper Ederwin "No need to lie, Will. It is not nice to meet us." He said, smirking a little bit, back to his usual laid-back and sassy self. He then walked over to where their truck was parked and grabbed the trunk of the large bush hiding it, moving it to one side and revealing the vehicle. The rays of sunlight shone against the black paint of the truck, it was still fairly clean and looked to be in very good conditions. He then turned around and saw Piper walk past Will, looking at him and heard her speak, "No need to worry about the knife, we'll return it when we think you are to trust....if we think you are to trust" She said, correcting herself after her first sentence. Dean extended his large hand to his sister when she walked by him and she handed him her backpack, he walked to the back of the black vehicle and climbed into the trunk. He opened the backpacks and stored the supplies inside in wooden boxes that where there, one was used for food, the other for water the last one for medications. He then opened a rather large metallic box, inside it there were repair tools in which he stored the hatchet. The rest he kept on himself. Dean did leave some supplies inside the backpacks though, who knew if they were sometime obliged to abandon the truck. Only thinking about abandoning his truck made his heart churn in agony. Pushing the though away he got down once more, he pulled the black covering of the truck's bed, sealing it in case it rained. That way nothing would spoil and also, it kept what was inside away from prying eyes. Piper Ederwin ~ Female ~ 23 ~ Noxton City, about to leave ~ Mentions: Dean Ederwin, William Grey Piper walked around the truck and got in, seating on the front passenger seat and looking at her brother, who was now standing at the front of their vehicle, and then at William, who was still standing next his dead truck. Surely he would think both her and Dean were crazy by taking him in so deliberately. Truth was, she and her brother had been having a wordless conversation all the while since they saw him. A talent they had, they could easily pick up on each other's small signs and body language. Plus, they many times had talked over how they would manage situations like that one. Dean's manly voice pulled her out of her thoughts, he was speaking to Will, "Are you planning on staying there?" He asked, eyebrow raised as he waited for the man to walk over to the truck. She simply lifted got comfortable, her blue eyes scanning through the terrain. Far away in the distance she could see the limping, slow silhouettes that now haunted the world. Her heart sunk to her stomach. She was a strong girl, a very strong young woman but still, not even strong people could cope easily with all this. Only a little bit more than a week and everything had already gone to shit. ![]() |

Samantha Jynx Wolfson¤female¤23¤leaving the rural areas now on the highway¤mentions those who are near the highway Cautiously, Samantha continued making her way to the highway, climbing up a somewhat steep hill to reach the road. She looked at the dogs, once again motioning to be quiet. She silently hopped over the railing along the highway. Hania and Beowulf follow, jumping over. She looked to the other side, noticing that she passed the figures from before. Luckily she had avoided them entirely. With that, she looked for a car or truck to hopefully jump start and leave with. However, she had little hope that one, if any, would work. bandit Blaze Pheonix Grayson ¤ 26 ¤ forest ¤ mentioned~ micaela Bandit walks through the trees, hearing a sound of hooves tapping along the ground. "What the, how did a damn horse survive?" He whispered. With this, he silently walks closer, hoping to possibly use the horse for his own doings, not realising that it was already in use. As he got closer, he saw the horse and its rider. "Fuck." He thought. "Just my luck.. A human" he thought. He ran a hand through his hair, turning around to leave. However, when he stepped his foit fell into a twig, snapping it in two. ![]() |

William Gray ~ Male ~ 24 ~ Location: Noxton City ~ Mentions: Dean and Piper Ederwin William couldn't keep his blood from boiling at the comment. "Excuse me. But on the topic of if you can trust me I'd just like to point out that we are in the midst of an apocalypse. What good would trying to hurt you do for me! I can barely handle these things myself. I was studying to dig up dead things not kill them again" His annoyance was radiating off him in waves. His blue eyes narrowed at Dean when he motioned to his truck. "Don't really have much of a choice do I? My trucks never running again and you've taken the only weapons I have. " He reached into his truck and grabbed a small bag that he had his food and water supply. It wasn't much but even the smallest amount was worth bringing along. He pushed the bag into Dean's hands as he walked over to him, his blue eyes looking up at him. Though keeping his gaze for much longer proved impossible. "Fuck you and your good looks" He mumbled quietly enough so that it would sound like an incoherent jumble to Dean. ![]() |

Dean Ederwin ~ Male ~ 27 ~ Location: Noxton City, about to leave ~ Mentions: William Gray Dean wasn't that fazed about William's little outburst, he knew he would be so much worse of a pickup if he were in his place. Still, he felt just a tiny bit annoyed by it. I mean, they could have perfectly left him alone there, no weapons or supplies couldn't they? He took the bag from William's hands and did indeed not completely understand his mumbling gibberish. Deciding that asking could have led to an ugly scenario, for example; if he had been insulted, he simply shrugged it off and after storing Will's supplies in the truck's bed and sealing it again, opened the door and climbed onto the driver's seat. He waited for Will to get in and meanwhile glanced at Piper, who was looking at him with tired yet a little bit surprised eyes. "What?" He asked, knowing that look. She quickly shrugged and raised her eyebrows, "Nothing" She replied. It clearly wasn't nothing but just by looking at that expression he knew he wasn't in the mood to know whatever was going on in her head. In addition to that, his little sister was tired. "Try and get some sleep in, I'll handle it from here" He said and she nodded. Piper Ederwin ~ Female ~ 23 ~ Location: Noxton City, about to leave ~ Mentions: Dean Ederwin (indirectly), William Grey (indirectly) After nodding at her brother she got comfortable at her seat, leaning her blond head against the window. Maybe Dean hadn't understood what William said but she did, and even if she hadn't believed her ears, she was pretty good at reading lips. The previous glances made a lot of sense then but she for some reason thought it would be best to let Dean find out by himself, she just couldn't help intently looking at her brother with what he always called "that face" to make sure if he indeed hadn't picked up on their new travelling companion's words. He hadn't, the fool. She guessed she was in for some good fun. She felt sleep starting to set in but refused to drift into unconsciousness just yet, even if her eyes were closed and her breath evened. It was like some sort of instinct, she wouldn't fall asleep until she knew they were safely driving away from the city, hopefully never to return unless this whole epidemic disaster magically stopped as fast as it had started. ![]() Edited on 07/01/16 @ 17:11:10 by Rocheneux (#43822) |

William Gray - Male - 24 - Location: Noxton City, about to leave - Mentions: Dean and Piper Ederwin William slid into the backseat of the car and cast a glance at Piper, his blue eyes apologetic. He wouldn't let Dean see that though. He leaned his head against the window and let out a breath. He stayed silent for a good five minutes before saying softly. "Thank you" He was addressing Dean here. He knew that he didn't have to take him with them. He could have shot him on sight or left him there to die so he had really saved his life multiple times now. William's blue eyes watched Dean in the car mirror. He knew he was just being stubborn when he got agitated with Dean but he couldn't help it. ![]() |

Alastair Vance || 24 || Male || Location: Rural Area next to The Highway || Mentions: Paige Valentine(directly) His golden brown hues watched the survivor quickly shield themselves behind the car a gun held firmly in their grasp. This quickly sent alarm bells whirling throughout his mind, his gaze quickly hardened. But as he watched ready to aim and shoot though he wasn't going to be the one to shoot first. His eyes trained on the brown haired woman's every move watching as she pulled out what seemed to be a police uniform. That didn't really do much trust wise, she could have easily stripped it from a dead police officer. Yet he nudged his horse forward, easily reigning his horse around and giving a small click of his tongue to urge the equine forward. It obliged happily to his owner's request never towering it's head back or stomping the ground in protest. When he felt like he was comfortably close enough to the gas station he couldn't help but realize that the women also laid out her supplies she kept stored, huh that was a new one. "who-" he started only to quickly clear his throat before continuing "Who are you ma'am?" he spoke up the tone in his voice was loud though almost like a demand but yet it held a sort of softness to it as if he didn't mean to be that stern. Yet all he really wanted to know was if it was safe or not to be around this person. ![]() |

Charlie Fuentes - Female - 21 - Location; Highway into Noxton - Mentions; None/Open Charlie walked along the side of the highway playing with her daggers swinging them about in her hands. She looked up at the hawk above her, "Glad you still work." She said, pulling out a screen that showed the view the hawk was seeing. "Looks like I'm zombie free til i get to the city." She said putting the screen away and playing with her daggers again. She found a few deserted cars along the way, she checked the glove departments, found a few cool things she stored in her bag, grabbed some flammable things as well. She reached the city after about an hour after searching. She didn't go into any buildings at first, then she saw an opening into a small liquor store, she slowly and quietly walked it scoping the place out, finding nothing but empty bottles and trash she left the building and continued walking ![]() |

((Sorry for the long post. I wanted to catch up and not leave it where Rocheneux and CrystalSacrifice have to post short posts.)) Theodore Weaver|24|Location: Noxton City|Mentions: Dean, Piper, and William The silence of the abandoned store was grating on Theo's already wire tight nerves, he was too used to the constant sounds of the Biters groans, shuffles, and growls, but for the moment the twenty year old had to make do with the rats sharing his space. The brown haired male sat on the dirty, dusty floor and chewed slowly on a piece of long stale bread while gazing out the smeared, cracked window at the street below, disregarding the rats about his feet stealing the dropped crumbs away. Theo stilled, since his leg had been bouncing in place relentlessly from his nervous habits, as he picked up the vague sounds of people talking. Not mumbling, or growling, or groaning, but honest to gods talking. Theo let out a hum of interest, interest that was heavily diluted by his paranoia. What if they're after me, he thought to himself dully, only to shake his head a moment later. What a ridiculous thought. A somewhat hysterical giggle escaped him as he was unable to stifle the rising dread and paranoia. With his leg tapping at a more rapid pace, Theo dug a bandaged hand, an accident with a chain link had left it cut up, into one of the many pockets of his black cargo pants to pull out a half full bottle of Quetiapine, or Seroquel. Popping the top, Theo placed a whole pill in his mouth and took a quick swig from the bottle of water next to him to swallow it down. Coming to a split second decision, Theo stood, making sure to pat his pockets down to confirm that he had all of his things. In his front right pocket a roll of bandages, a small tube of Antiseptic cream, and a miniature bottle of cleaning alcohol sat; while the left pocket was taken up by his knife and it's sheave. The four bottom pockets, two on each side, were filled with various necessities such as small packets of crackers and other none perishable food, two bottles of water and a small portable filter, a pair of wire cutters, a padlock and key along with a length of chain, an antique pocket watch (one that still worked), and other such things. Nodding to himself, Theo reached down and picked up his trusty shovel, a long handled thing that had a bloody, crusty, dirty spade piece. The blue eyed male grabbed the 'handle' of the shovel, which happened to be a long piece of rope he had tied to both ends through holes he had drilled, and slung his chosen weapon over his shoulder. With one last look around, pocketing his bottle of medicine, Theo strode over to one of the still open windows and climbed out, careful to not make any unnecessary noise. Adjusting his thick, red plaid jacket to better cover his black tank top underneath and proceeded to climb down the two story building. -------------------------------------- Theo stumbled as he jumped the last few feet to the ground, worn combat boots making as solid thump as they connected with the crack riddled sidewalk. Glancing about he spotted several Biters in a few different directions, they weren't to far to be consider not threats but not close enough to be taken a serious threats either. Nodding to himself, he set off across the street, following the murmuring sounds of the distant conversation. As he stepped into the alley another bout of paranoia hit him. What am I doing following complete strangers? They could be hostile, or fuck they could be cannibals for all I know, he thought to himself violently. But Theo couldn't deny his want, no need, to be around others regardless of his crippling anger issues and frequent paranoia. He let out a groan as he felt a migraine begin to build behind his temples and lifted a hand to run it through his short hair. A wet, gurgling moan had him jerking back to reality just in time to bring his shovel up over his shoulder and out in front of him to smash with a dull crack into the head of the a semi rotting Biter. Theo lunged forward as more groans filled the air and bolted for the hole filled gate at the end of the alley, dropping to his hands and knees to crawl through to the area beyond. Standing quickly Theo's heartbeat went through the roof and a startled shriek slipped free. There in the middle of the lot, bathed in the molted light of the sun, was a massive dog. Standing right. In. The. Freaking. Lot. Trembling hands, more from adrenaline than fear, held the crusty shovel out in-front of him in an attempt to keep the dog from coming any closer. It's not that he was afraid of dogs or anything, just dogs he didn't raise or doesn't know personally. "Nice doggie." He rasped. The ragged looking canine let out a deep growl, baring sharp, pearly white fangs at the young man. Blue-grey eyes stared into the dogs dark brown ones. With a short sudden bark the mutt bolted forward causing Theo's eyes to widen in shock. He screamed, and this time in fear, before turning tail and sprinting down a side alley. A few short, but tight, turns later Theo burst into yet another clearer area, the dog hot on his tail. Adrenaline pumped through his veins, but not for long. In hind sight looking back over his shoulder probably wasn't the best idea, especially while still running, for in the next second he slammed into the side of a parked vehicle housing the very people he had been looking for. ![]() |

Chloe Butler | 11 years old | Location: Town in Rural Areas ~ Outside School | Mentions: None, but Open The end of the old road took a turn behind a tall, abandoned library, where behind the building stood a lonesome young girl. "M-Miko... Come here girl." she would whisper, lowering herself onto her knees, whilst patting her thighs to encourage the canine to come forward. Every few moments, her gaze would dart around the surrounding buildings to keep an eye out for any sudden movement, as the eerie silence surrounding her hometown was definitely intimidating. If she listened carefully, the menacing groan from the sickened could be heard, and that was when she would move far, far away. Miko | Greyhound [The Italian greyhound would draw her nose along the gritty ground, sniffing the perimeter with curiosity. At the beckoning of her friend, she would hurry alongside the girl, her tail wagging in delight as she drew her tongue across the young girl's rosey cheeks.] Chloe giggled, wrapping her arms around her beloved dog's head to return Miko's affection before the moment was lost as reality quickly slapped her across the face, "Shhhh.... Stop girl, stop." she would hastily mutter. Everything had happened much too quickly; far too quickly for her to properly comprehend everything. One moment she was waiting in-line for lunch in the school cafeteria, the next, the bells were crying as students were shrieking as many young children were taken by those creepy slow people; the big kids were stealing all the snacks and so Chloe had followed, and when they ran away, so did she. Time passed, and her parents never came back to pick her up, and now she was alone, and everyone she knew had left town or gone into hiding, but she wasn't going anywhere. All she knew was that those monsters were bad. She saw what they were capable of but she didn't know why, and she wasn't too keen on asking them why. The ominous groaning of a scattered amount of the sickened gradually grew in numbers, as if they were coming closer. It was time to move. Quickly grabbing Miko by the collar, she would scurry over towards the stained wall of the library, before ducking into the shelter of the surrounding bushes whilst dragging Miko in with her. She sat down on the dirt, hugging her knees as Miko instinctively lay down next to her, dead silent. She could feel her heart pounding, a light whimper nearly escaping her mouth if it weren't for her hands quickly clasping her own mouth shut, "W-what is w-wrong with them?" she would shakily whisper, before her head bent forward to duck between her knees as she waited for the small group of walkers to pass by. ![]() |
