He watched the warrior and copied her movements. Truthfully, he couldn't scent anything that was any different from what typically floated over the territory. "Maybe they are down wind." He suggested. Oakpaw was too young to really know what was going on with the prey. He stood by Hollyfeather. "Well...what do we do?" He was disappointed. The first time he came hunting he wanted to show up with enough prey to feed the clan for days, but this warrior led him to a patch of flowers. He was starting to think that she wasn't a very good teacher.

Hollyfeather, Warrior, Mentions: Oakpaw, If someone else wants to "stumble upon us" to interact it's fine. :)

"Hopefully," Hollyfeather whispered, a slightly stronger scent hit her and she dropped into the hunters crouch.
Masking her scent in the strong scented heather she slowly crept forward until she saw a mouse scratching the dirt. In a heartbeat Hollyfeather leapt out to catch the mouse, missing at first she pelted after the mouse and barely was able to slam a paw on top of it before it could reach a hole. She gave it a killing bite.
"Oh" Hollyfeather said out loud when she realized how scrawny the mouse was, she wasn't smart enough to piece together what the cause must've been. She opened her jaws once again, nothing, had she scared away the prey in the area or was the skinny mouse the only prey in the area to begin with?

Oakpaw- Mentions: Hollyfeather

He almost missed the action of the warrior. Oakpaw saw how Hollyfeather snuck up on the prey. He was impressed at how quickly she moved into the hunter's crouch. He saw her swiftly kill the mouse. He padded up to her. "That is a small one. Maybe it'll be enough for a kit." He looked at her, curiously. "Let's take it back to camp."

Hollyfeather, Warrior, Mentions: Oakpaw, Quickstep.

"Yeah I guess," Hollyfeather meowed. "Sorry your first hunt wasn't very spectacular," She added.
Hollyfeather took the puny mouse in her jaws and padded back to camp, once she arrived there she crept into the nursery and set the scrawny mouse beside Quickstep's sleeping form.

Alderfall

After his little charade with the mouse, Alderfall arrives at camp to see Oakpaw and Hollyfeather splitting apart their separate ways. He pads over to the apprentice.
"Hey Oakpaw, how's it going?"
He looks down at the apprentice, noticing a disturbance on his face.

Oakpaw-

The apprentice turned towards Alderfall. He had not really interacted with this warrior, but he was eager to learn all he could. "Okay, I guess. Hollyfeather took me out hunting this morning but all she caught was a scrawny mouse. I didn't even get a chance to practice!" He was upset that Hollyfeather had taken this kill. He thought that she was a lousy mentor and an even less skilled hunter, but he wasn't going to say that out loud.

Alderfall, Camp, Mentions-Oakpaw

Alderfall nodded in understanding. Sitting down, he invited Oakpaw to sit.
"One time when I was a younger warrior, there was a rogue issue going on. They were poisoning our food, and so Cloudstar and I tried to do something about it. After a rogue permanently injured my eye, I had a tough time hunting. My first hunt after the accident, I pounced and missed by a whole five mouse tails!"
He purred lightly, nudging the apprentice.
"Hollyfeather is a good mentor, but everyone has their days. You will get better, and so will she. It's the bond that you two have not made yet that keeps things iffy. Once you begin to grow and your skills increase, learning the ways of being a warrior will be made plain as day."
Smiling, Alderfall gets up, putting his tail on Oakpaw's shoulder before heading over to the nursery.

Oakpaw

He sat next to the warrior. Oakpaw giggled at his story. He listened intently to Alderfall's advice about Hollyfeather. He decided that he should not be so hard on her. He really just wanted to work hard. He was a new apprentice and was trying to separate those duties from being a goofy kit. He acknowledged Alderfall's departure with a head nod. He watched the warrior move towards the nursery, a place that Oakpaw would not stay ever again. He stood and groomed his fur before going to the apprentice den.

Hollyfeather, Warrior, Mentions: Alderfall

Hollyfeather started padding out of the nursery, on her way out she thought about how little prey there was. 'It must've been caused by something... but what?' She thought to herself.
Hollyfeather was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't realize Alderfall was in the nursery enterance, she ran into him the second she snapped back to reality.
"Oops! Sorry about that Alderfall, I was lost in my thoughts and not looking where I was going!" She meowed in suprise as she took a step back.

Quickstep
Quickstep looks up to see a tail exiting the nursery. She sniffs and looks down to see a mouse. "Oh, thank you" She calls after the cat. Judging by the tail color it could have been Hollyfeather, but she wasn't sure.

Snakekit shifts a bit, but stays asleep.

Whitetail
He had soon passed out and was now sleeping wherever he had dropped in camp.. he didn't notice he had at all, he had a dream of him and his own kits.. he wondered if he could ever actually have kits and then a She-cat crossed his mind... he was still passed out but, his dreams continued..
