He jumped up, glad he'd chosen the right option. "Oh, but I know the way too!" He exclaimed while running past the tom. He slowed down a bit to be on the same pace. Once they reached their hunting spot he stopped completely. Taking a second to focus on his surroundings. He noticed several different scents, but they were all dominated by the scent of horses. There were also tiny sounds, revealing the fact that there was in fact critter around here. He focussed on one of the sounds, signaling with his tail that he was going to try to take the mouse he heard and smelled in front of him, not wanting to talk out loud and scare everything away. He crouched and slowly made his way forward. Desperate to show that he wasn't that bad, he didn't take his time to fully locate the creature. He jumped, landing just a hair away from the tiny animal and sending the thing towards Dewwhisker. Whoops.

He was going to go easy since he hadn't gotten to train with him for a while. He charged, not at normal speed though.. it was a little slower for warm up. He headed straight for Mosspaw, he was going to assess what they needed to work on and what was good.. even if he was OK, he would make him practice some more.. then he would get to more moves when he was satisfied with this one.

Ravenfeather began running at Mosspaw, and when Ravenfeather was almost close enough to touch Mosspaw, he launched himself to the side away from his reach. Mosspaw wasn't sure if that was correct, he thought it was. He watched his mentor to make sure he wasn't going to surprise attack him. Mosspaw crouched down in a readied stance, and clawed the moss underneath him.

Dewwhisker, Mentions: Slypaw

Dewwhisker observed Slypaw's hunting technic, it seemed pretty good. The apprentice missed the critter sending it straight at Dewwhisker. Quickly, Dewwhisker slammed both front paws on the mouse killing it with a claw to it's neck. "Good job, try to jump a little further next time though. All the power comes from your back legs."

"Yeah, I should've known" He muttered, slightly embarrassed. But then he remembered they did manage to get the job done, so that it was alright. The way it got caught didn't matter, the fact that it was caught and that it could feed the clan was most important. His embarrassment fainted and a more daring look replaced it. "Show me how to do it better then" He said, only partly serious.

He was almost about to hit Mosspaw when he moved out of the way. He wasn't going to try the surprise attack just yet.. they were just starting this lesson. He skidded to a stop and turned, walking to Mosspaw. "Good job.. now we will try again. This time I won't go so easy on you" he smiled and moved, getting ready to lunge at Mosspaw with as much speed as his legs would let him. "Ready?" He looked at Mosspaw to make sure.

Dewwhisker nodded in response to Slypaw's challenge. Quickly and quietly he crouched and followed his nose towards a fat vole. He got ready to jump, making sure all his limbs were in perfect formation. He leapt and slammed his paws on the vole, killing it with a quick bite. "There!" He meowed to Slypaw.

He nodded when he said he was ready. He tensed his muscles, warming them up a little bit so he could go as fast as his legs would allow him.. as well as his lungs.. he didn't want to be out of breath before the training was over.. he wasn't that old.. he soon lunged without notice and headed straight for Mosspaw. He decided that he still wouldn't try the surprise attack.. he wasn't sure he was ready just yet...

Mosspaw watched Ravenfeather get ready to run, muscles tensing. Without s hint, he lunged forward and was coming straight towards Mosspaw. It took a lot less time for Ravenfeather to get close him this time, but he darted to the other side, out of the way of Ravenfeather. His paws were spread out, but his muscles were tensed with waiting to see what Ravenfeather would do next.

"Neat" He said, legit surprised by how easy he made it look. He focused on his ears, but he no longer heard any prey around. He tasted the air as well but it gave the same result. "I do think we've scared all prey around here away by now." He said just before grabbing the mouse they'd caught. "Swall we gwo bwack or swall we twy somewhere else?" His speech slurred because his mouth was filled with mouse.

Soulstar - Leader - Camp - Mentions: Slypaw, Dewwhisker

He sat in the clearing, head raised to the sky. Since he had been sick and recovering he had failed in his duty as a mentor to Slypaw, he decided he'd make it up to him by battle training the next day. He would also thank Dewwhisker for helping with Slypaw while he was sick. He curled his long tail around his paws and enjoyed the last warmth of sunlight as Green Leaf ended and Leaf Fall began.

Darkpaw - Apprentice - Camp - Mentions:

She laid in the shade by the apprentice's den, grooming her tawny and black fur meticulously. Narrowing her light green eyes when a yellow leaf fluttered past her nose she pushed herself into a crouch, focused on the twirling leaf then leapt, pinning the leaf with a purr of satisfactions. "Take that leaf," she muttered then blushed softly. If she wanted to be a warrior one day she'd have to act like it. Hastily stepping off the leaf she sunk back to the ground to groom her fur but to also hide her blush.
