Cloudspot looked at Icestar and smiled. "Deputy - me or Mudsplash. I'm not really sure about that. I don't know Mudsplash that much but I can tell you a few things to look in for a deputy. A deputy shouldn't hesitate to obey their leader but should not be scared to take charge if something kept him/her away. A deputy should be able to talk to their clanmates when they need someone to talk to." He didn't know what else to say.

I reemerged from the elders den, listening to Talonpelt ramble on about he used to be the best warrior in the whole forest, that is until her became blind and got arthritis. I listened amusingly to the old tom's heartfelt story telling, and Willowtail's sharp tongue remarks to the tom as they shared the fish. I dropped the skeleton to run my tongue over my chest a few times to get the taste of herbs out of my mouth. I didn't know they had just gotten their medicine, or I would've waited to bring the fish. The harsh stench of bile and medicine on their breath was almost knock out strong, and I could taste the medicine on the fish. I picked the skeleton up, and went to dispose of it, before coming back into camp, nodding to Cloudspot and Icestar on the ledge, before heading to the warriors den, and probing a few clanmates up. The sun was rising, and no one seemed to bother to get things done in the clan. "Come on, we need to get going!" I explained, before backing out of the den. A hunting party would do some good. "Toadpaw, would you like to join me and..." I trailed trying to think of a warrior, "Cloudspot for a hunting patrol in a bit? We're running low, and Icestar has enough on her paws."

Echowhisper walked out of the warrior's den and stretched. Her green eyes glinting in the sun. Walking over to the fresh-fresh-kill pile she grabbed a rabbit and bit into it but before she could fully take a bite she noticed maggots all swarming in the belly of it. When she blinked her eyes she saw that all the maggots where gone. "Phew . . . I thought they were real." She inspected the rabbit some more and when there where no traces of maggots she starting eating it in small bites.

She nodded, listening to the advice and then thinking hard.. she also wanted a kind cat she could confide in about what should be done if something were to happen.. she swayed more towards Cloudspot but she still thought about it long and hard..

Cloudspot looked at his leader and he saw that she was thinking hard and he didn't want to interupte. He looked out of the den and saw Mudsplash at the apprentice's den and when he looked down he saw Echowhisper at the fresh-kill pile. 'We have a lot of loyal clanmates and it would be an honor if she chooses me.' He thought.

Her ear flicked as she stood up, "I have made my decision" she announced as she went out of her den and onto the ledge just outside of her den. She sat down and looked down from her ledge, "all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath leaders ledge for a clan meeting"

Cloudspot looked at Icestar and then followed her out of her den. He walked down the steps and got to the bottom. He walked over a little away from the bottom of the ledge and sat where Icestar could still see him.

She looks proudly upon her clan as she spoke, "I sit here before Starclan as I announce a new deputy and hope that Starclan approves my choice.. Our new deputy is Cloudspot." She looks down at the tom, "I hope you will serve the clan well.."

Cloudspot looks up ay his leader with admiration and when she announces him as the deputy he's exstatic. "I will. I'll serve this clan until I am too old or become leader myself." He stands up and dips his head in approval of her choice. He glances at his clanmates and then walked to the front of his clanmates. He bowed his head before his leader and then turned around, trying to catch Mudsplash's eye to see if she approved. He knew how he felt about her and he hoped she felt the same way.

She ends the meeting and goes down to stand near Cloudspot, she nudged him to encourage him to go closer. She smiled at him, she wished him the best of luck with her. She then sat down and ran a paw over her face.
