She smiled as the warrior agreed and then went off to go find cats to take on patrol. She turned her attention to Emeraldfrost as she spoke and smiled again, "I will try not to take your job away and just leave you with the title" she said jokingly and winking cheekily at her new mate. She had to get used to having a mate and a deputy.. this was going to take a while.. she had been so used to being alone and being solely relied on for leadership after the previous deputy just up and left.. a good friend of hers had left her. Other friends had died, leaving her behind just as her family had... though her sister was still living, it felt like she wasn't even there.. she snapped out of her thoughts partially at the sound of some cat emerging from the warriors den, someone slept in late.. she giggled to herself with amusement then called to iceclaw, "hello Iceclaw, sleep well?" She said, she had always forgiven cats that slept in, but only if it wasn't frequent.. she wasn't the cat to be taken advantage of. Her tail twitched and it went up, batting Emeraldfrost on the nose and whiskers. She giggled and looked at Emeraldfrost, "sorry.. am I.. disturbing you?" She said cheekily, she had paused between I and disturbing for a reason, affect. She smiled and waited for either cats to speak.

The ginger tabby warrior slowly made his way from his nest, overwhelmed by how drowsy he felt. He had overslept once more, and felt guilty about such. As Dewrain stumbled his way outside of the den, he took a seat in the clearing and then began to groom his fur quietly. Occasionally, he would sneak glances to the other warriors. He was never good at talking to others, but hoped that one day he could make some good friends. They look like good cats. Plus, they're my clanmates!

She smiled at Iceclaw and nodded to her in greeting, "Hi Iceclaw, it's fine. Don't worry, I know how it is to stay up late and need sleep" she said in a friendly tone and then Dewnose caught her eye as he padded out of the warriors den as well. She smiled and wondered what cats did these days to sleep in.. or sleep at all.. she couldn't sleep even if her life depended on it. She stood up and stretched, "I think it's about time I greet the sleepy cat that just woke up." She said cheerfully and nodded to the two She-cat's in farewell before she made her way to Dewrain. She smiled as she approached, "hello, sleep well?" She said with her tone friendly, she was aware of how Dewrain had difficulty really talking to others so, she didn't really push him to talk to her. She didn't want him to talk to her like they were besties, just as clan mates. The friends part could come later.. she just waned him to know that she was here if he needed someone to talk to.

The warrior's head shot up in surprise as he heard another voice directed to him, and his gaze settled on Icestar. Embarrassment flooded his face, his ears burning. I bet the leader is here to scold me about how I slept in! He squeaked internally, before he spoke.

"Ah.. I slept too much, I think. But I suppose." The ginger's gaze darted to his paws as he shuffled them, his tail curling in anxiety. Did leaders punish their warriors for sleeping in? He was not sure, and it made him even more embarrassed. "Er.. Icestar.. how are you?" He asked as a pitiful attempt to continue the conversation. His eyes hesitantly met the leader's, before they directed themselves back at his paws.

She smiled and sat down as she watched how he acted as he answered. She didn't know how he was feeling now but he sure wasn't calm.. she smiled some more when he asked how she was, "I'm fine thank you. Sleeping in isn't too bad, it depends about how well you sleep.. I have a hard time, hence I am always up. But, just try not to sleep in too often.." she kindly, not even looking like she cared about him sleeping in. "It is a beautiful today though, don't you think?" She said kindly, trying to make him feel more comfortable around her.. she used to be so closed off shortly after her parents died so, she knew how it felt to be unsure of how to talk to others but, when she had become deputy she had snapped out of everything.. she didn't know how, but she did. She smiled as she looked around, obviously calm and relaxed around him like they were already friends but, she didn't really mind if he only wanted to be slang mates and not friends, it was his preference.

Dewrain listened to Icestar, his posture relaxing visibly. "Yes, Icestar. I have a hard time sleeping, too.. so I sleep in late by mistake sometimes." He replied in a hushed tone, dipping his head in respect before he brought it back up when he heard her second statement. He glanced up at the sky and stared at the empty sky, relieved that there were no smokey gray clouds drifting in their direction. "A very lovely day." He told her softly, before he glanced back down at the leader and gave a smile. "Maybe StarClan is blessing us with no more snow. Perhaps we can bring back more prey then.." He sighed at the memory of his last hunt - one that did not go well due to all the snow that had gathered on the ground. He had taken notice of how patient the leader seemed towards him, and felt grateful that she was being patient towards him.

"Why thank you," Emeraldfrost replied with a chuckle in response to Icestar's agreement to not take her job from her. Her icy green eyes shone delightedly at the wink and she smiled knowingly in response. Emeraldfrost was still awed that Icestar had returned her deep feelings, and she couldn't be happier than she was now. An ear of hers flicked as she watched Iceclaw approach, converse with Icestar shortly, and then sit. She sat quietly in her thoughts before blinking when she felt a tail at her face. "Nothing you do could disturb me, dear leader." She snorted lightly in amusement and pawed the tail gently away from tapping against her muzzle. Hearing of the other's plans to leave, Emeraldfrost leaned forward to rub her head against Icestar's before the leader went to talk with Dewrain. She watched Icestar approach the tom and begin chatting with him before the tiredness of her lost sleep finally set in. Gaze drawing away from the pair, Emeraldfrost's sights swept the clearing before she settled down onto her side. Her tail flicked gently as she watched the camp, resting as much as a cat could while still awake and being attentive in case anything was needed of them. She didn't regret talking with Icestar all night, how could she with the things she learned? The deputy rested her head on her paws and thought of the past Icestar had divulged to her and of her new duties.

She smiled some more, her expression more gentle than before. She found it interesting how he mentioned snow when it was summer, maybe he was dreaming of snow when he slept? "It is summer, I hope Starclan isn't mad at us and sent us snow.." she said, not really meaning anything by it, just saying it. She let out a little purr that she gave to every one of her clan mates to show how much she loved each and every one of them. She couldn't express gratitude that would show just how much she was feeling to the whole clan.. they stood by her and even talked to her like Dewrain was now, with them she would never feel alone and they would never have to fear the dark. "But I do remember the last leaf bare.. that was interesting.." she said, amusement in her voice, "when I went hunting, I slid all over the place after I found a patch of ice and landed right onto my friend" she said, amusement in her eyes, she was telling stories so he wouldn't have to feel like she was just talking to him because being leader meant to take care of the whole clan, like she was forced.. she talked to cats and made them feel like they belong because she wanted to, she wanted them to be comfortable and never feel like they are unwanted.

(Again sorry o3o also, added some filler because it looked tiny XD n I forgot the term for summer in how they know it.. o3o)

Dewrain sat there for a moment in silence after Icestar spoke, then a flustered expression came over his face. His fur seemed to raise as he tried to find words, eyes wide with shock. "I-Is it? I dreamt it was leaf-bare, so I.. thought it was leaf-bare.." He stuttered out, embarrassment clinging to his fur. No wonder it feels so warm.. His mind added on, the ginger's shoulders slumping as he lowered his head and groaned softly. "I kept falling too.." He murmured, trying to stay still. However, all the warrior wanted to do was hide away from Icestar because he had managed to mix up the seasons. How dumb I am! I need to pay attention. He scolded himself, and sighed. "Mostly because of hidden branches, not ice." He added in an almost inaudible tone, maintaining his eye contact on his paws once more.

She watched his expression change to a flustered one and his fur slightly raised. She smiled after a moment and gently nudged his shoulder with her paw, "it's ok, don't worry.. I don't know how many times I had tried to make the den's ready for winter in new leaf.. now that was worse" she said, obviously trying to make him feel better. She smiled some more, "those branches are tricky.. they are there and then they aren't, then before you know it you end up on the ground.." she said jokingly, trying her best to make him feel better. She hoped he wasn't too embarrassed, ever cat got mixed up once in a while.

Dewrain gave a soft groan, twitching a nicked ear. "I suppose. It's still quite embarrassing." He mumbled quietly, glancing over to the leader. "Yeah. I hate branches, and those stupid roots that stick up just enough to trip you." Not only was the ginger quite noticeable in the forest, but he was also a bit clumsy. Only during leaf-fall did he camouflage, even if it was only a little bit. Then again, a snow white pelt could prove quite noticeable in any season but leaf-bare.

Iceclaw walks towards the entrance of the camp and she goes out to hunt. Later she came back to the camp with 3 mice and 4 squirrels and she drops them all in the kill pile. Iceclaw walks over to a tree in the camp and she lays down she grooms herself.
