She smiled, "yes.. it always is but, you can always make the best of it." She said positively. She also nodded when he mentioned the roots and little branches coming up just enough. Her light grey tortoiseshell pelt fluffed out a little bit as she stretched and still remained fluffier than usual as she relaxed once more. "But it's isn't that bad.. besides, at least you blend in in some environments. I can't blend into any" she smiled, still being positive. She tried to make up for it my being able to be almost silent and use the cover of the bushes and such around her to hunt as best as she could.

Dewrain listened to Icestar, but his eyes flicked over to Iceclaw once she had entered the camp from her hunting trip. He had no clue who the cat was, and felt a tiny bit curious. He glanced back at Icestar and gave a small chuckle. "Camouflage isn't everything, thankfully." He replied in a relaxed tone, shuffling his paws. "But I do like unique pelts. With more than one color, I could stare at them all day." He added quietly. The ginger had always admired the colors of the environment and those of his clanmates. He had especially stared when they had multiple colors, even if it was as simple as a gray tabby with a white underbelly.

She was enjoying their conversation actually, it was interesting. She nodded when he spoke so he knew she was listening to him. She giggled slightly, "I guess so since you seem like a pretty good hunter." she said, meaning the compliment. She was interested in other cat's eyes to be honest, their pelts were interesting but, their ees told their story. The look in every cat's eyes did to her, all the time.. that is what she believed. "Well, every cat's pelt is unique in their own way, just like their eyes." she said with another smile. She looked around at all the cats in camp, her eyes landing on Emeraldfrost and she softly smiled when she saw that the cat was falling asleep. She loved how peaceful Emeraldfrost looked.. she snapped her attention back to Dewrain. "I know I could stare at some cats all day.." she said with a smile.

Appearing surprise, Dewrain gave a soft shake of his head. "No, not really. I'm best at tracking, but I can mess up easily during hunting." He told her, frowning. The large ginger considered himself a failure when it came to hunting, but found joy when he managed to track down the prey. His eyes followed Icestar's to glance at Emeraldfrost. Was that the deputy? He was unsure. Could be another warrior.. His mind added, before he looked back at Icestar. "That sounds lovely, Icestar. I agree with you." He told her softly, then blinked. Eyes do tell a lot.. I wonder what my eyes tell her of me. What do they whisper? What tales do they tell that I cannot see? He wondered to himself. I hope it isn't anything bad!

She smiled at him when he looked at her, she knew he caught her staring at Emeraldfrost.. but, since he didn't say anything, she wasn't going to bring it up. She laughed a little when he said it sounded lovely, she found that a little amusing.. for reasons she would not tell. "Well, that is great.." she said kindly, watching his expression. She would love to be friends with this cat, she would also love a break from being leader.. the break probably wouldn't happen.. oh well.. at least she could still cuddle up with Emeraldfrost at night and talk until they both fell asleep.. she loved those nights as well. Her icy blue eyes seemed to become distant as she thought about the she-cat, about how she made her life better and her heart whole. Then she seemed to snap back and look directly into Dewrain's eyes, "Have you ever met someone that made it feel like you had everything in the world?" she asked curiously, the underlying meaning was that she wanted to know if other cats were feeling what she was feeling right now. Her attention went to Iceclaw as the cat approached and asked her question, "You could if you would like" she smiled.

Dewrain watched as Iceclaw padded up to Icestar and became a bit more anxious. Was this cat going to invade their conversation, or were they simply going to ask a question? Will they judge me? He added quietly, then glanced up at Icestar as she spoke again. "At one time, yes. But he is long gone." He whispered quietly, dipping his head as he thought of his former crush. I miss him a ton. His mind whispered, despair hinted in his eyes. His former crush had died long ago, and Dewrain had moved on, but he still missed the other. He made me feel normal, for not liking she-cats romantically. He made me into the cat I am today. He tried to hide his despair by looking at Iceclaw in both curiosity and a faint hint of fear.

Waking with a start, Emeraldfrost's eyes flashed open and she drew a white paw to cover her eyes a moment later. She lowered her paw and blinked, expression troubled as her gaze swept the clearing. Though she had only fell asleep for a second, waking not a moment later, she still felt falling asleep at all wasn't proper. Her tail flicked a few more times before she pulled herself to her paws, shaking her pure white fur out some. She'd rest later, for now her interest was directing her to the three-cat group a bit away. Approaching them, she dipped her head to Iceclaw. "Morning Iceclaw, are you busy? Ryecloud's looking for cats to take on a patrol if you're interested." Her attention flickered to Dewrain beside Icestar, and her emerald gaze became assessing, although quickly growing warm to accompany an amiable smile before anyone could think anything of the look. "Greetings, Dewrain. I hope I'm not interrupting." As she noticed his slight look of fright—towards what she didn't know—she felt the faint doubts inside her quickly melt away. She chided herself silently for beginning to evaluate him so quickly. Looking to Icestar, she did hope she wasn't disturbing a conversation the leader didn't want other ears to hear. "Should I give you two some privacy?" she joked kindly, a gentle smugness playing on her features. She'd never hinted at romance before, but for some reason with Icestar as her mate the humor now seemed more appealing.

She looked at Dewrain, hearing his words she couldn't help but hope to starclan he was OK.. she knew how it felt to lose the cats you love so dearly.. she saw the faint look of fear on his face as he looked at Iceclaw and attempted to comfort the Tom by resting her tail on his shoulder. She couldn't imagine how he was feeling right now.. she wished she could help but, she didn't exactly know how. Her attention flicked to Emeraldfrost and she saw her look at Dewrain, she thought nothing of it and smiled, "no it's ok.. feel free to join us" she said. She looked at Dewrain, as if silently asking if that was ok with him because he seemed shy or something like that.. she didn't want him to feel uncomfortable.

Dewrain stared at the gathering cats, feeling a bit overwhelmed. The group suddenly grew by two, and he felt nervous. More judging eyes. His mind wheezed, but he managed to speak to Iceclaw first. "I.. am well.. thank you." He told her, dipping his head in respect. When he felt a tail on his shoulders, he felt a little more comfortable, but not much. He gave a small nod to Icestar as she looked at him, then glanced over to Emeraldfrost. He had no idea why, but he felt a bit more scared of her than everyone else. "No! It's fine!" He exclaimed, then paused and a flustered look came over his face. "Uh.. sorry for being loud. It's fine, though." He added in a quieter tone, shuffling his paws as he stared at his paws.

Dipping her head in response to Icestar's welcome, Emeraldfrost smiled kindly at her. "Thank you." She sat and drew her tail around her paws, form tall and formal unlike it'd been minutes ago in her tired state. She looked to Dewrain again and her expression soon became questioning at his exclamation and then slightly softer at the apology. "It's quite all right. I'm glad to see I'm wanted so much," she replied in good nature with a gentle chuckle. After some thought Emeraldfrost continued, speaking quietly and with an altruistic tone, "not to be intrusive, but is there anything bothering you? If I've done anything to concern you please don't hesitate to let me know. I'm not always the best at reading others."

She watched everyone as they came, then looked at Dewrain. He seemed to be more nervous than just the two of them.. then he shouted, it caught her a little off guard and she giggled a little bit when he said sorry. She was laughing more at herself because she now looked very fluffy due to her fur standing up. She tried to lay it down flat again, then she smiled at Dewrain, trying to be comforting as he shuffled his paws while he stared at them. She looked at Emeraldfrost when she said thank you and she smiled once more, looking to Iceclaw when she asked a question, "well... Ryecloud is supposed to go on patrol now and if they haven't left yet, you can give with them." She said kindly. Then listened to Emeraldfrost as she spoke, she stretched and got comfortable again. She wondered the same thing.. what was bugging him? But, she would never ask. She would wait until they want to speak, she would listen to any cat that needed to talk about something.

Dewrain stared at the cats as they talked, then paused when Emeraldfrost asked him a question. He shuffled his paws again and looked away. "I... am not good at talking to a lot of cats. I get worried, and scared.. and.. anxious? Are those the right words.. yeah. Um.. sorry." He frowned, his face burning with embarrassment as he heard Icestar giggle. The large ginger feline wanted to hide from his Clanmates in a sense, but how would he get friends if he were to hide all the time? I have to be brave to make friends. Maybe they won't mind.. I hope not.
