She watched as Emeraldfrost started walking and smiled when she said it was fine. She wondered what was on the cats mind as she seemed distracted.. she didn't know if the cat caught why she had stood there just looking at her after she had rubbed her head against the others. She hoped she knew, but wasn't quite sure if she felt the same.. she could be very oblivious to things.. but she knew a few hints were given. She just didn't know what type of love she felt.. could be friend or family for all she knew.. but, if it was either of those then she would respect that. She snapped out of her own thoughts when Emeraldfrost spoke. For a moment, she was confused as to what she was talking about.. quite a few moments passed before the sentence made sense in her head. She finally started to speak after it had clicked, "yes I mean it.." she said, her icy blue eyes showing an intensely sincere gaze, something that was hardly seen. The look was only ever used when she really meant something that she was passionate about.

(Sorry if that isn't what that meant XD I was just trying to make it more like "I love you" XD)

Emeraldfrost Mentions: Icestar
Waiting for a response, Emeraldfrost found herself surprised that nervousness didn't creep into her as time trickled by. Determination still held her, and the fact that she was so sure of that she had seen. If the time passing hadn't seemed slow enough, it now seemed to nearly cease in motion when she heard Icestar's answer. Emeraldfrost's breath caught in her throat as she gazed at the leader, eyes sparkling in amazement. The sincerity of the other's expression tipped her over the edge and the world seemed to slam into motion again, going oh so fast as a dazzling grin broke out on her face and she swiftly closed the scant distance between them, pressing her muzzle into the fur of Icestar's neck in a caress. If Emeraldfrost was human she'd have surely done something overdramatic, thinking to sweep the other into a small spin or kneel and kiss her hand with an entertaining smile. She was certain Icestar could feel her exultant smile against her but she couldn't find a reason to care.

(that's what i meant haha, i was totally in the moment when writing this but now going back and re-reading it man is it sappy ew )

Her eyes were wide as she all of a sudden moved close and pressed her muzzle into Icestar's neck. She smiled and purred, her head rubbed against Emeraldfrost's. Then she licked the top of her head in a sort of lovely gesture. She hadn't really felt love like this before, she was going to be there for Emeraldfrost, forever and always. She vowed in her own head, she whispered the three little words, being the first actually day it out loud and it all felt right.. it felt like she was complete, the hole she felt was filled from when she lost her family and it was mended.. sort of.. not completely but, it felt a lot better.. "I love you.." she said lovingly, not a hint of doubt or reluctance to say it now.

(Sorry short and it was cute tbh XD)

Drawing her head away from its warm placement beneath Icestar's, Emeraldfrost brushed her muzzle against the other as she straightened. She finally nudged Icestar's cheek lovingly before drawing back, but not by much. "You don't know how glad I am to hear that.." Her gleaming eyes softened from their awe and she let out a warm purr. "I love you too, extraordinarily." Sleep forgotten, Emeraldfrost just stood close and gazed at Icestar, wanting to soak up the moment she wasn't sure could have possibly happened.

(look i managed to make a post within three whole days haha honestly idk about you but im completely unproductive when im sick—i just want to watch disney movies and die)

She smiled and purred at Emeraldfrost, thinking this moment couldn't be anymore perfect.. until she realised that they still had to organize patrols. All of a sudden she stood up and padded to the ledge where she sits to call clan meetings. Her icy blue eyes completely masking what they had just been showing, she was now staring at the busy camp with the same confident, calm look and she stood proud like a leader should. Her lean body shape was some what outlined in the sunlight that was filling the camp, her ear flicked every so often as a fly buzzed around. She didn't mean to just leave Emeraldfrost but, she was so fixated on organizing everything, she started to pad down the steps, she didn't seem tired at all from not sleeping at all last night. She soon realised she was leaving Emeraldfrost behind when she was half way down the steps from her den to the main part of camp. She turned to head to look at where the mouth of her den was, where she had left Emeraldfrost, which was hard to see since she was at an awkward angle and a little too far down on the steps so, she called to Emeraldfrost, "sorry! Gotta go organize everything.." she was so in a rush that she had totally forgotten that she had a deputy. Which she left behind.. but, it didn't cross her mind as she rushed swiftly and almost completely nimbly down the steps as if she could see every little tendril and tricky thing on the step through her chin. She didn't even look down to see where she was going and she made it down without tripping, which was a good thing.. a miracle in fact, since whenever she did that she would usually fall at least once.. but she was getting better! She looked around for warriors that weren't doing anything to send them off on some sort of patrol.

Stirred from her contented gazing, Emeraldfrost found her eyes following Icestar out of the den. She shook her head amusedly at the other's sudden actions, green eyes shining with affection. The deputy padded to the den's entrance and watched Icestar silently, her head tilted slightly as she observed the leader overlooking the camp and then suddenly making her way down the steps. "It's no problem," she replied to Icestar's rushed apology, whiskers twitching. Emeraldfrost saw her newly-made mate begin to near the bottom of the steps in her fast pace and she decided to leave herself. Making her way down the ledge, she moved much slower than Icestar, glancing up occasionally to see what the mentioned was doing. Once down the steps she approached her while she was beginning to form a patrol. "You know," she whispered kindly, voice faintly laced with amusement, "this is technically my job now." Emeraldfrost's attention was momentarily drawn away from Icestar at the sound of an enthusiastic greeting. "Morning, Ryecloud," she addressed the warrior with a smile.

She was greeted by the young She-cat and smiled, "good morning, sleep well Ryecloud?" She said kindly. Her ear twitched as she heard Emeraldfrost's voice, she then realised that she had a deputy.. she was going to have to get used to this.. she smiled at Emeraldfrost with a cheeky smile, "right... I forgot... so set in my ways of doing everything myself I forgot.." she said, her voice a little apologetic. She looked back to Ryecloud, "want to go on a patrol? You can bring a few other cats with you" she smiled after she asked. She was going to at least make this patrol.. she didn't know what else to do but look around to camp to see if anything needed to be done and figure out what to do if anything happened.. she was so used to her clan relying solely on her that she wasn't used to sitting back and letting her deputy do anything since she hadn't had a deputy in quite a while. She had always been picky with who to make deputy because she had an image in her head of what makes a good leader and she wanted the best for her clan when she was gone.. whenever that time was, she didn't want to leave her clan with anything negative. She snapped out of her thoughts and looked between the two She-cat's, she sat down and waited for some cat to speak.

(Yes, sadly.. XD but I have been the leader for so long that some one else should be it, you know? Icestar is getting old too so... plus, I forgot to up the number of moons she is so it went up two moons XD BTW, a moon is 4 days ;) just so everyone knows)

"I'm well," Emeraldfrost responded to Ryecloud's asking. A small smile adorned her face at the warrior's enthusiasm. "I trust you are as well." Her gaze traveled across the clearing as she watched the waking camp for a moment before looking back to Icestar. "You are still free to organize patrols when you want," she purred in good-nature, "it's not as if I'm going to take that pleasure from you when you have the desire. Although let me do some of the work, you'll wear yourself into dust otherwise." Emeraldfrost nudged the leader fondly, beginning to sit beside her while doing so. She curled her white tail around her equally white paws and sat with Icestar as she watched Ryecloud look for others to join her on the morning patrol.

(you can be leader as long as you want in my book ;), i'll be sad to see her go but do whatever you want haha)
