He watched as Drake looked in, probably thinking he took his mate.. then he left. He saw Maple leave and he went after her. He bumped into Bumbletail at the same time.. just great.. right now he didn't want to get attached to any cat here.. "Hey pretty kitty, maybe you should go back to the den.. I will go get the stupid tom.." He said as he didn't look at Bumbletail. Why had she been so close when she had a mate? Man.. cats really loved to toy with others don't they..? He thought. He looked at Bumbletail, "your brother won't hurt her as long as you wish he won't.." He looked like a complete rogue, but some cats saw that he wasn't on the inside.. he always acted like one but he wasn't too good at it..

He nodded to her after she spoke, when her tail had touched him it just made him feel a little better. He wondered what it was, why he liked her there so much.. "take care and get there safe.." He said as he turned and padded off into the forest. He felt so bad, like he was actually some heartless cat out to get others.. he felt like a total jerk and there was nothing to fix this.. why did he have to be unsure? He knew he wanted her.. yet he didn't know how much, or if he even loved her.. he didn't even know what love felt like.

Maple stood there for a moment, facing the she-cat and not quite knowing how to react "I...Bumbletail" Maple felt bad for her, she was only trying to protect Maple. She let out a quiet sigh of relief as Talon arrived, although she had basically stormed out on him just earlier she was glad to see him here; perhaps he would help her? Maple stood there for a moment, gawking about what exactly to do if she went back now then perhaps Stoneclaw wouldn't notice? But Drake... Her ears perked up when Talon spoke, and her eyes shone with gratitude as she turned to him "really?! Would you do that? Thank you so much, just... Don't get yourself hurt" she turned to Bumbletail, giving the queen a soft look "Stoneclaw is only trying to protect you, as much as I hate to admit it he is a brave cat. If I go back now then I can just tell him I went to make dirt, simple as that." She promised, glancing briefly in Stoneclaw's general direction.

Bumbletail gave Maple a warm smile. "Yes he is, but he still need to learn gow to use that big head of his." She giggled as she slowly made her way towards the dens. "Maybe I could ask him, if we could go hunting togther, I know both of you could use a break out of that medicine den." She said with a purr. " She looked at Talon and placed a paw on his shoulder. "Thank you so much Talon, im glad you are here." She smiled warmly before passing him, abd making her way towards camp, waiting for Maple of course. She didn't want the she catt's mate to see her alone with another male.

He smiled at Maple, "of course I would help.. as much as I understand everything. The cat you care about is more important if you think about it.." He said, thinking about how Stoneclaw protects Bumbletail and Drake protects Maple. He even protects his own brother with tooth and claw, he would never know what it meant to have a mate and frankly, he never thought he needed one.. then his ear clicked as Bumbletail touched his shoulder. He saw her smile, his ears flattened against his head, "Yea..." He just said. He watched as she walked ahead, he was sick of feeling like he would hurt some cat if he left. He was going to leave so they all should just stop acting like they want him there.. he looked back to Maple, "I'm going to tend to my own business... I believe Drake is speaking to some cat so, I will bring him later if I don't have to drag him.." He said, not really in the mood to flirt anymore. He went dull and just padded towards the exit of camp.

Lynks listen to Shadestep fascinated by what she heard. "How strange, I've heard wolves and coyotes live in packs but never cats." She said think outloud. She looked at Shadestep when she realized what she did. "Err I mean strange in a good way." She said with a small chuckle. She then looked at her paws. "I wish lynx were like that, i miss my mother but most likely she has already moved on to her next litter." She said a hint of saddness in her voice. "Even my sister was able to find a mate and is now expecting, as for me I'm to small and ugly to find a mate." She said with a saddened smile. "Or at least that is what the males tell me, anyways." She said placing her head between her paws and looking out the den. "Mom said there is someone out there for everyone, patience is the key." She said as she slowly drifted to sleep. "Sorry, Shades I've been walking for days, im just..." She fell asleep before she could finish her sentence.

Maple smiled up at him, thinking deeply about what he said... About how important those you care about were, she nodded "Thank you." Maple could see how all this talk about mates was upsetting him a bit, the tom was too hard on himself so she quickly meowed "that's fine, and take care of yourself" before turning to Bumbletail. "Uh... Maybe not quite yet, let's get back to the den first and discuss hunting in the morning" She laughed. Maple paused and looked around for a moment, she was actually having fun with these...These clan cats, a few hours ago it never seemed possible. For once since she was here, and of course not with Drake, she was happy, and actually enjoying herself. Although nothing could compare to the happiness that Drake gave her, and she longed for the next chapter in their lives.

Frostflight padded away, trying hard to keep the growing sorrow out of her gaze, the moon was her only guide to the undergrowth. It was all her fault that Nightfang had acted the way he did, she couldn't blame him at all. Frostflight had acted too soon on her newfound feelings... Although thinking about that made her realise something, she had loved Nightfang for a lot longer than she had known, but all this time her feelings were kept bottled up. Although she was excited, she was also scared for the future, and the thought of her future leadership made her think that her romantic life could be over before it even begun. One thing was for sure, she loved him, and it had taken a long time for her to realise that. Perhaps it was because of her childhood? Not quite knowing who she could trust, who was there for her and who she loved, but she was sure now; and she would wait for him to be sure too.

Stoneclaw sat angrily at the camp's entrance ready to attack any rouge that stepped into view. "If they hurt Bumbletail I'll rip their throats..." He stopped as Bumbletail came into view with Maple beside her. He walked up to both of them, this time he showed no hostility. "Great catch Bumbletail, did Maple give the finishing bite. "He said with a soft purr licking Bumbletail's forhead."

Bumbletail stood infront of Maple as Stoneclaw approached, she dropped the rabbit before answering him. "Well I didn't kill it, you know I hate killing things." She said not lying to him. "I just thought she could use some fresh air, plus Drake wasn't around so I took her out for a while." She purred as her brother licked her forehead. "You should lighten up on her brother, she is a good cat you know." She smiled back at Maple.

He looked at her, "uh... sure.." He said as he hadn't really gone fat before she had spoken to him. He then turned and headed quicker out of the camp, hoping to get a hold of his brother and drag him now. He was going to take him, after getting Drake to go see his mate.. he felt stupid. He was going to do things for She-cat's, what was he thinking?? All they ever did was just play along with him, never meaning much. So, he wouldn't need one, he wouldn't need a mate. He padded out of camp and soon slowed a little, taking a few breathes as he tried to get it all out of his head, mates were useless and clan life wasn't for him anymore. That is what was happening.. he looked around, he knew even if he could drag his brother out, he wouldn't really leave until he knew his clan was safe.. he couldn't get a break at all since he came and he was going to leave with his brother to go find their sister, that was that.

He glanced back in the direction she had gone, turning to look forward again he shook his head. He then kept going, pursuing a rabbit as he scented it. He felt so bad but, he couldn't do anything.. it was useless. He was a jerk and she probably hated him. He could live with that, sort of.. he would just stay near by and wait. He crouched as the rabbit came into view, he was as quiet as possible and snuck up on the rabbit but, he stepped on a twig and it started to run so, he ran after it. As soon as he caught up he pounced on it and picked it up in his jaws once it lay limp. He didn't want to go back now.. but he didn't want to have to carry a rabbit and other prey with him back to camp.. he was debating..

Maple frowned as she watched him go, he seemed unhappy about something, it was a shame, he really was a nice tom. She sprinted after Bumbletail, her frown deepening slightly as she saw the she-cat approach her brother, although once closer she offered a weak smile. Maple turned to Bumbletail as she spoke "Good...? I don't know about that Bumbletail, even in the brightest of light there is darkness. And let me tell you, my heart is not all that bright. I can't change who I am, and what I do, there is no hope left for me apart from the Rogues. I was lucky enough to escape my past life likewise, with Boulder, I can't turn my life around, not now anyway. Besides, I wouldn't want to anyway, ever since I've been with the Rogues I've been happier than ever before. Your sweet Bumbletail, but there really is no hope for me," she finished talking and shuffled her paws nervously.

Frostflight padded into the camp yawning, she hurried quickly to the warriors' den, her expression vacant. She lay down on her nest, placing her head between her paws and letting her eyes close wearily. However a moment later they re-opened as a thought struck her, a while ago when she was talking with Talon. He had said that he had come here for Nightfang, and nothing else; did that mean he was going to take Nightfang away? She sincerely hoped not, because of what she said, what she did he probably hated her, but she still wanted him here. For a moment everything had been so perfect, and then she had to go and ruin it.

He came across his brother as he walked, he saw the Tom with a rabbit in his jaws and he seemed to be thinking about something. Was it the She-cat? They didn't need any cat.. just family. He walked right up to him and looked at him, "you are coming with me.. we are going to leave this clan and go to find our sister.. you have no say in this. I think this will be best for you, they probably weren't going to accept you anyway.." He said harshly. His tone was quite serious, he saw his brother look at him. He saw the look in his eyes... he didn't seem to object but he didn't seem to want to go either. His ear flicked as he waited for his reply in silence, until he saw him put the rabbit down and stare him right in the eyes. He listened to his brother, "I guess so.. no cat probably wants me around anyway.. besides.. I think I hurt Frostflight.." He heard Nightfang say. He growled, "we don't need mates or friends.. family is all we need and we are getting ours back.." He was a little agitated from the sorry tone in his voice. "I have to do something for a cat first before we go.." He said, not really saying much else.

Frostflight rested her head on her paws, her eyes were fixed on the entrance to the camp. Over and over again she told herself that Nightfang should be back by now and that something must have happened. Perhaps he was attacked... Or perhaps Talon had gone to talk to him? Oh starclan, what if he wanted Nightfang to leave with him?! Well... There was nothing she could do now, if he wanted to leave, then there was nothing she could do about it. She would just have to stand by and watch as he exited her life... Perhaps forever, and she would know that she was the one that drove him away. All she could do was hope that Talon only wanted to talk to him... Although judging by what he had been saying earlier a talk wouldn't be all that was happening.

He looked at his brother,the cat stared at him. He saw him open his mouth and then he said "go to camp and wait for me there.. I don't want to have to chase you down again.." with that, he went off to go do whatever he had gone to. Nightfang sighed, he might as well go.. he felt like a jerk and Talon was probably right.. he picked up the rabbit and padded towards camp, his mind clouded. He walked into camp after a few moments of walking and placed the rabbit on the fresh kill pile. He happened to look around and his gaze landed on Frostflight. It pained him actually.. he was leaving because he thought he had hurt her. Yet he wanted to stay, no matter if she hated him or not.. what was he going to do.. he looked away after a few moments and padded over to a comfy spot and laid down in it. He stared up at the moonlit sky, star pelt twinkling in the dark sky.

Frostflight met Nightfang's gaze for a moment, she sighed as she saw guilt in his captivating eyes. She felt aweful, he had obviously blamed himself for everything that happened, when it was clearly her fault. She padded over to the fresh kill pile, grabbing only a small vole before sitting down.

Shadestep Mentions: Lynks
Chucking, Shadestep shook his head. "I don't take strange as meaning bad, just as meaning different. And we sure seem different." Shadestep quieted as he heard about her mother moving on, and then about other lynx males. He gazed out of the den silently. "I'm sure your mother still thinks of you, your ways are just different... And you're anything but ugly." He glanced at Lynks, prepared to drill it into her that her appearance was fine if need be, but found she was asleep. His glance turned into a stare as he looked upon her resting form. He purred amusedly, amber eyes gleaming in the faint moonlight as he shifted to get more comfortable. With a last inhale of air, finding there were no alarming scents, Shadestep drifted off as well.

He had stared at the twinkling lights of Nightpelt, wondering how their parents felt about them leaving.. he knew they wouldn't be ashamed, but maybe disappointed? They would have wanted them to live a good life, not one out there without the clan.. all alone, just the three of them if they could find their sister.. he pried his eyes from the sky and pulled himself from his thoughts as he looked around the darkened camp. He wasn't really looking for Frostflight, more like his eyes were just drawn over in her direction. He looked as the Moonlight kissed her fur, the way the Moonlight shone on her to make her look, once again, like a beautiful starclan warrior. Like a dream he didn't want to wake up from.. he looked away, he still felt like a total jerk.. he sat up and started to wash his pelt. When was Talon going to come? Man that cat was slow.. if he was going, he was going now or he could wait until rising sun. He looked towards the camp exit and didn't see his brother so, he just continued to groom his pelt. He soon started to stretch, his muscles slightly flexing under his pelt, his claws sheathing and unsheathing a few times. His well muscled body out stretched and every scar he possessed glistened in the Moonlight, making him seem like he could be hostile sometimes. His odd eyes were the weirdest thing about him, he thought they were so unnatural, so weird.. why did he have them? His mother would always say to him that they made him look handsome and unique. He shouldn't be ashamed of them.. and he smiled slightly to himself as he thought of his mother. Then Frostflight caught his eye again, he didn't look directly at her this time but, it was obvious he was still glancing at her. Is that a little of admiration in his eyes?
