"I slept great," he mumbled into the nest, voice drawn out. He raised his head groggily when she asked him of his plans today and began stretching his limbs from where he laid. "I need to get back to camp," he sighed. As he began to stand, stretching out his legs more as he did, he looked out of the den discouragingly. He knew he had to get back, but that didn't stop him from regretting that they couldn't spend more time together. There was still so much he wanted to learn about this unique cat; he couldn't imagine himself ever finding another loner so unusual and welcoming. Padding out of the den's opening, Shadestep blinked in the brighter light, turning to see the rabbit being offered to him. "Thank you," he spoke gratefully. He dipped his head to eat the remaining meat of the rabbit, and when done, he tilted his head to Lynks. "What are you going to do, then?"

Lynk's ears flicked as she thought about her day. "Most likely, I mean if your clan doesn't mind I would like to make this den and place my permanent home." She said with a smile. "I really like it here but if you think it will anger your friends I can leave the territory." She said trying to think how large thier territory was.

Frostflight watched in suspense as Talon padded over to his brother, she could hear them talking in hushed tones. Her eyes blurred a little and she gazed down at her paws, sheathing and unsheathing her claws subconsciously. She didn't want him to leave, not yet, not ever for that matter; she wasn't ready to have her heart broken a second time. She watched as Nightfang stood, and for a moment she thought he was going to talk to her, but he padded into the warrior's den instead. She looked up at Talon, not knowing how to feel about him right now, she simply turned away from him, lying down with her head in her paws.

Maple sighed when she didn't see Res, perhaps she had already left, or worse what if the dogs have gotten her?! She swayed a little at the thought of all those sharp, menacing teeth and glowing red eyes. "Perhaps she left already, I don't see her here... And honestly, I don't want to stay here any longer than necessary.''

He watched as his brother walked past the She-cat and into the warriors den for a nap. He saw her look at him, even if it had been for a brief moment.. he regretted nothing. The one part of him that was rusty and almost forgotten about was the part of him that regretted a desicion.. he has never regretted anything since he left so, he lost that part of him in a way but it never actually did leave.. he was like other cats. It was just not easy for the emotion to come about. He padded right up beside Frostflight, not flirting nor joking, he was actually wearing a serious facial expression, "I cannot let my brother stay in a clan that doesn't want him.. have you seen how some of these cats treat him? He is coming with me and that is final.. even if you are attached or not.. what could you do for him that could heal the scars he has?" He asked harshly, he was always a harsh cat, just more so now that he had been a rogue for so long.. it was hard.

Drake

He looked around once more as he listened her, agreeing that she probably had left already. "Yea.. let's go. If she isn't here, then she is probably somewhere less of a worthless place.. we can let those dogs get them and we don't have to deal with them." He smiled at her, more thinking about the future that they had together beyond these worthless camp walls.. Talon had known that he was hiding something.. yet he would just take his brother and leave.. "Talon is a rogue.. I hope you know that.. he is like us just, a little different upbringing.. I guess.." He just said, to get the thought of dogs out of their minds. "We shall leave and let them to their fate that has nothing to do with us." He said as he rubbed his head against hers and waited for her to move so that they could pad side by side together and go live a life where they would be happy and no cat could ruin it..

(Haha and this event comes to an end after they both pad out, as well there will be a resting period between the events so that everyone can get caught up, whatever has to be done will get done and I can plan out the rest of the events XD I have bits and pieces right now.. so yea.. Frostflight scrambled to her feet when he spoke, her heart felt like a stone. "What are you talking about, we all love Nightfang! Everyone is very shaken up, this clan has suffered greatly and what they need is a fresh start, and a fresh start they will have." Her eyes drifted to Maple and Drake, her eyes widened, they were leaving! She drew her attention back to Talon. "Yes... I believe I may be attached, but I said something stupid and I ruined everything, at least let me talk to him. That way only one of us should have a broken heart." She dipped her head, refusing to meet his eyes.

Maple purred, "yes," she said, entwining her tail with his and starting to walk, the clan was finally out of their lives. They could leave it all in the past, and focus on the future. She wondered what happened to the others, Obsidian... Coal, she guessed that they either fled or were killed a while ago. Anyway, none of that mattered now, as Drake rubbed his head against Maple's, she purred and placed her head under his jaw; giving his chest a lick. She pulled away and rose to eye level, she pressed her nose against his "let's go."

(just a quick question, when we time skip will Frostflight already have her lives and name? Or will she be on her way to get them?)

He watched as she stood up and started talking like she actually wanted him to stay. but his eyes went cold when she said they love Nightfang, she talked about how everything was.. she asked to talk to him and he huffed, as if having to think really hard about that request. "I told him not to talk to you. I dont know what good will come of him getting attached to this stupid clan that would gladly throw him out.. he is related to traitors and he wont ever be seen as a true warrior like the rest. They hurt our sister because I left. I was the one who couldnt stand another minute in this clan after our parents died and they rejected her.. she left shortly after because of it and my brother went into hiding.. so by all means, explain to me how you would make it all better if he stayed here." he said as he sat down, his cold gaze was on her, it wasnt hostile, just upset. He looked towards the warriors den entrance and saw Nightfang's head poke out to look around as he squinted. He looked back at Frostflight and waited for her to tell him why he should leave his brother here.

Drake

He smiled at her and purred as she rubbed against him and he licked the top of her head. They were leaving and never coming back. Ever. He looked at her as she pressed her nose against him and he purred some more, rubbing his head against hers. "yes.. lets.." he said as he started to walk, happy they could discard everything here, forget it all and think about them. Their group was gone... but, they would have a new one and a better life. With the thought of just them being able to have a life, he left with her.

(sorry, tried to wrap it up without controlling her XD n no, she would have to go get them because it is the best part of becoming leader <3)

Frostflight felt her gaze grow heavy with sorrow, her eyes flickered between Talon and her paws, her brain was in overdrive. Her vision blurred, maybe Talon was right? Maybe she was making everything worse... "I'm sorry Talon, I really am, about your parents, your sister. I know how you feel, my brother was a traitor, he abandoned this Clan many moons ago when it needed him most. The past is a terrifying thing, but it's over now and you can't keep run from it... Not forever anyway. Everybody fights sometimes, but we would never abandon Nightfang, I certainly wouldn't anyway. besides, this is Nightfang's choice, not your's, I know you only want what's best for him but home is where the heart is; and only he knows where his heart truly is. I'm sorry, I've only complicated matters...

He looked at her, he listened and his ears soon flattened against his head at the words "can't keep running from it" that really got to him.. he still listened though, "I get it.. but you weren't almost beaten for it. As for running.. I wasn't running like some kit. I left because everyone's stupid expression as they looked at us. Sorrow, pity... who needs it. They acted like we needed their pity, like we needed them to feel sorry for us to feel better.. they had no idea how much it angered me. They made our sister cry more, made Nightfang silent.. look how he is now. That wasn't him.. you say your clan wouldn't abandon him.. he has already half abandoned it. He agreed to come.. Yea everybody fights.. but rarely do most cats have to fight for their own life and their family without parents with regret and anger. You want to know why I left? I was so sick of every cat saying sorry, saying they wished it didn't happen, saying they would give us things if we needed them.. they were just doing it because they wanted to seem like they cared.. they didn't. I was sick of their lies and the way they looked at us after our parents were gone.. I left. I wasn't running. I am never coming back to stay.. nor am I leaving my brother here so they all can step all over him again. It was a mistake to leave them here and then our sister left and he stayed. He thought he could do good but, he was ignored or beaten.. so he hid. As for complicating things.. you haven't done anything.." He finished less harshly than how he had started. He was angry after she had said he couldn't run from it, he never runs.. but life as a Rouge had made him rigid and gave him the nature to become violent if he felt it was necessary. He had a lot of patience and was hard to get on his nerves. He saw Nightfang pad closer and he was standing right behind Frostflight. "Sorry, am I interrupting something?" Nightfang said as he stared right at Talon, great.. he was defending her even when he wasn't doing anything but talking.. geez.. Nightfang stood right behind Frostflight and for what reason, Talon couldn't say.

(Sorry for the harshness XD he is an angry cat.. but he is leaving with out Nightfang soon so.. lol)

Frostflight clenched her teeth together, trying to keep the floods of old memories from getting the best of her. She couldn't let the past overwhelm her, not again "you know what? Fine, take him, you're right how would I understand? You love Nightfang, you want to protect him, do what's best for him... I can't say the same about my brother. My father was an ex-loner, he was arrogant, harsh and his anger got the best of him, causing him to lash out at times. My Mother on the other paw was soft, gentle and to scared to talk to him or anyone else. He was killed by a fox, which sent her into a dark cloud of misery, she died barely a moon later. Smoketail was furious that the clan hadn't helped her, but they tried to they really did. Anyway, he took me as far as the Thunder Path, then told me he was leaving, I was only just made an apprentice, and I refused to go. He left me, standing there in the rain, just walked away, he knew I didn't know how to get back! So yes... How would I understand." She sighed, Frostflight didn't want to hurt Talon or anyone else for that matter, she just found it hard to sit and watch as hearts were broken. You have to learn from the past, your mistakes. She turned around abruptly as Nightfang spoke, forcing the tears away "no, Talon said you were just leaving." She croaked, not really knowing why she was getting to worked up about this, yes he was a clanmate, but perhaps there was something more? She wasn't ready to watch as another person suffered the way she did, perhaps she was only making it worse. Talon thought that he knew best, but to be fair Frostflight didn't know any better, she was only trying to learn from her mistakes. They had to let go of the past and build a future on the building blocks of their corrected mistakes. Her gaze was watery as she met Nightfang's eyes, she hadn't felt this way about a cat in a long time, perhaps ever.

His ear flicked as he watched his brother look at Frostflight, he was still standing behind her when she turned around. She was defending his brother.. he didn't think he did anything for the cat to be defended.. then he saw the tears in her eyes as he actually looked right at her. He obviously took it the wrong way, his eyes shot right up to Talon and all of a sudden his eyes went cold. "What did you say? She isn't looking around with tears in her eyes for no reason." He sounded like a defensive mate, protecting the other from insults or something. He watched as Talon just stared back at him. Now Talon was silent.. Nightfang let out a humph and moved closer to Frostflight. He didn't want his brother saying anything else to hurt her. He decided he would stay with her, protect her.. he knew exactly how he felt, more sure than he had ever felt. He loved her, he was going to stay with her forever.

Frostflight felt him move to stand beside her, she met Talon's eyes and for a moment she felt harsh. She stepped back a little when Nightfang lunged at his brother "No! She waited for a moment in anticipation, relieved as Nightfang seemed to back down a little when he came to stand beside her she leaned towards him a bit, feeling almost drawn to him. She didn't want to let him go, not now, not ever.

He stood there, his ear flicked as she spoke, again she was defending his brother.. sometimes he didn't understand her.. but she said it was her fault she was crying. Yea.. his brother probably still had something to do with it.. then he saw how Talon was looking at him. It was cold and harsh, like he was being hunted.. and Nightfang's muscles tensed under his pelt, his pupils going to slits. The two looked like enemies.. he soon moved, quicker than some cat probably would be in the situation. He was already up close to his brother, "you have something to say? Say it." He spat at Talon who let out a low growl. The two Tom's were almost the same in muscle mass but, Talon was a little more built. Then Talon opened his mouth, "you want to be with some clan cat that knows nothing.. tries to get me to see how she feels when it isn't about her.. you want that? Fine. We didn't need you anyway.." Talon said harshly, claws unsheathed. Nightfang was beyond angry.. "yes. I want to be here. I changed my mind and I am not going. Tell our sister I say hi and you don't hurt yourself too bad out there." He said to Talon and stood there, almost in front of Frostflight.

He growled after Nightfang spoke, he was related to a traitor.. he wanted to stay in a harsh clan.. what was this? He was not going to be nice anymore.. although patient, he was irritated and angry. His claws were unsheathed and he totally forgot where they were and who Nightfang was basically in front of. He growled and without warning, tackled his own brother and the two fought, claw and tooth.

She could see the tension growing between the two, it practically hung in the air, before she could even open her mouth to speak Talon tackled his brother. She cried out and jumped back a little, "Nightfang!" She called, ramming her shoulder into Talon's flank. She bounced back a little, luckily not hitting the ground too hard, she scrambled to her feet and tried to find an opening in the fighting. For a brief moment, she met Talon's eyes "stop!" she yowled, lunging forward and attempting to grab him by the scruff.

He hissed as Frostflight rimmed her shoulder into him and then grabbed at his scruff. He moved so he could avoid Frostflight entirely and grab a hold of Nightfang, his claws scrapping across his brothers flank. Blood could be seen now, from the wound he had made on his own brother, yet Nightfang only made a little hiss of pain and managed to get him in the face with a sheathed paw. He let go and stood right over Nightfang after he had pushed him to the ground. Blood came from a minor wound on his cheek and he looked at the large wound on his brothers shoulder. His hetero gaze went to Frostflight, his eyes now looked like he was an actual rogue.. something he hardly ever looked like. He looked back to his brother and growled, "fine. Stay here and live like some worthless kit.. while I go with our sister and keep her safe. No thanks to any cat.. she wouldn't be in this mess if it wasn't for me. But, I expected you of all cats to understand.." He just spat. His fur was on end and then he shook his fur out, all dust and little pebbles getting shaken out and he looked like (sort of) that he hadn't even been on the ground. He gave an angry snort and then padded towards the exit.

After the fight, he just laid there on the ground, staring after his brother. His wound was bleeding yet, he didn't fuss. Of course it hurt like a bee but, he just stared after Talon. Starclan why.. why was this so hard.. he stood up after a few moments and looked at Frostflight, his gaze showed nothing, no expression as usual. "I'm sorry.. sometimes we get a little hostile.." He said simply before heading for the medicine den. He didn't want her to worry nor did he think she would even look at him the same after that.. he was here and he wasn't leaving her.
