Lynks had woken up the morning light bearly bleeding into the darkened sky. She stretched digging her front claws into the soft ground and slowly dragged them towards her, leaving 8 small lines in the dirt. She then turned her head to see Shadestep sleeping in the nest next to her. She walked out feeling the cool wind brush against her fur. Her bobbed tail wiggling as she took in a deep breath.

Frostflight felt her face flush as he gazed at her, a small glimmer of admiration in his in his handsome, ample eyes. Perhaps he still had feelings for her after all, perhaps she hadn't completely wrecked everything? She bowed her head a little bit, a smile tugging at her lips, she felt very flattered. When at last he turned away again her eyes traced his well-defined silhouette, she tried her best to not look at him with yearning. She gazed up at the sky, dawn crept slowly across the horizon, had she really been out that late?!

Maple gave Shadestep a slightly forced smile, before turning and dipping her head towards Bumbletail politley. "I'll leave you two to talk" she meowed, her eyes scanning the slowly illuminating sky. She padded towards the leader's den , draping her petite body across the warm rocks. Her malachite eyes flickered cat to cat, that loner tom sure was taking his own sweet time. Maple sighed, fair enough, he had his own private matters to attend too and frankly Maple was lucky she persuaded him to do this.

He soon entered camp with Drake, he had finally gotten the stupid cat to walk.. he was quick to get Drake over to Maple. "Hello, here is your mate.. who was very difficult.." He said as he looked at Drake, seemingly irritated. Then he smiled at Maple, "as promised, now I will leave you both.." He said, turning to see Nightfang in camp. He was just lounging around.. didn't he even sleep? The stupid mouse brain.. he padded up his brother and sat beside him. He saw who was close and why he was probably sitting there, "you are going to come with me.. no being friendly with the she-cat." He whispered to him irritated and not wanting him to get attached to a place they were going to leave behind..

He had glanced over to Frostflight a few times more until his brother came over. He sighed as his brother sat beside him and his ear flicked at his brother's words. "Yea I guess.." He whispered, not really wanting to leave her alone. "But I can't leave her.." He whispered and his brothers expression was fully irritated, but he kept silent. He stretched and looked to his brother some more before looking towards Frostflight again. He sighed as he heard his brothers voice, "leave her.. you will not speak to her.. we are leaving and that is that.." He winced at Talons words. He looked back to his brother, "fine.." He finally said. "But I'm going to have a nap.. if you'll excuse me.." He said before getting up once again then stretching again and padding off to the warriors den.

She nodded half-heartedly at Talon, not wanting to be too friendly with him around Drake. She gazed up at her mate, jade eyes full of guilty admiration "I'm sorry to interrupt your important matters... I didn't realize." She uncurled her tail from around her paws and stretched a little before sitting up, she really hoped he wasn't angry at her. Maple was relieved when she saw him smile, she returned it before meowing "listen... About Talon, he means nothing to me. Perhaps a sort of friend that I can use to get information about the clan cats, but nothing more." She said his name with a hint of spitefulness, but otherwise, she was confident in what she said.

He looked at Maple, he had listened to her and gave a small smile. "You interrupted nothing.." He said sweetly, "Also, I know.. Talon getting close to you is what angered me.. he is just really getting on my nerves.." He said honestly. "I couldn't go in because Stoneclaw would have been after me, frankly I don't want to deal with these clan cats anymore.. but I had a few come over asking about the secret." He lowered his voice as he came to secret. He whispered so only she could hear, "I heard some stupid kitty pet talking about some dogs that went missing from their two legs.. I don't know if they eat cats but, we aren't going to stay and find out." He said, his eyes shifting around. "Whoever these cats new leader is.. they aren't really going after us.. they are a waste of time so let's be done with them shall we? Or do you want to knock around a few cats before the dogs get them?" He asked, wondering why the cats weren't even trying to get rid of them anymore..

Maple smiled up at him, nodding when he spoke and eventually standing up "that's alright, you're here now." She moved closer to him, listening to what he had to say, she loved how he said 'we'. Her heart skipped a beat when he mentioned dogs, "d...dogs?" she stammered, her tail subconsciously tracing the pale scar that ran across her thigh. She was terrified of dogs, terrible memories from her past were still etched into her mind, she pressed against Drake in an attempt to stop shaking. "If it's alright with you, I feel we should say our goodbyes and leave... I don't exactly have a great history with dogs."

He looked at her as she moved closer to him. He listened to her as she spoke and heard the distress in her voice as she said dog. He curled his tail around her as she pressed against him, trying to comfort her. He let out a purr, "I won't let anything happen to you.. and let's just go.. those cats don't need a goodbye. Some of them don't even deserve one... let's let the dogs take care of them" He smiled and stood up, "after you" he smiled warmly.

(Sure :) let's skip ahead as soon as they leave but Talon is gonna leave in a few posts without his brother and Sunfang is coming back as well as Frostflight will receive her name and everything will be worked out)

she smiled and closed her eyes, leaning against him for a moment longer before pulling away, she felt so safe with him. A crooked smile met her lips as she thought of Stoneclaw and the rest of these miserable cats being torn apart by dogs "lets." She purred, starting to make her way towards the exit. Before she left she turned around to face the camp once more, she met Bumbletail's eyes and forced herself to look away. "What about Res?" She asked, looking around to see if she could spot the She-Cat.

He padded after her and when he heard her ask about res, he turned to look around. "Yea.. where is she?.." He asked, he would never leave one of his own, especially not in this worthless place.. he wondered if she had already left? He wouldn't blame her.. these cats were annoying.. he looked around some more. "I can't see her.. can you?" He asked, still being hesitant to leave if she was still here..

When Shadestep woke, he murmured sleepily, drawing into himself and nuzzling his head farther into the nest. That sleep had been good, almost too good. With a start he became aware of his new surroundings, eyes flashing open and head up. But as the scene became clear through his blurry—becoming lucid—gaze, he quickly realized where he was and calmed. Shadestep stared over to Lynks, before groaning and flopping back down onto the nest. "Morning."

Lynks looked back at Shadestep with a smile. "Morning sleepy head, did you sleep well." She said her bob tail wiggling, she felt happy that she was no longer alone. "So Shadestep what do you plan on doing today?" She said looking back out the den. She walked out a few feet from the den and began to big soon pulling out a half eaten rabbit. She walked back to the den laying down infront of it, she took a couple of bites before pushing it aside saving the rest for Shadestep.
