Shadestep listened carefully throughout the story. When Boulder finished Shadestep didn't have a chance to reply before Stoneclaw's patience finally gave and he began to leave. "Of course," he agreed as Stoneclaw passed him. Shadestep watched his form go off into the night. He let out a sigh of relief that the tom had left instead of starting something.
When Bumbletail began to head off into the bushes, shocked at her brother's disappearance, Shadestep's eyes saddened. "Bumbletail..." He didn't follow when Boulder ran after her. There wasn't a reason yet to doubt him, in Shadestep's mind, and they hadn't gone far. Hopefully they'll get their feelings sorted out without Stoneclaw's supervision.
Shadestep padded back over to Lynks, eyes on where Bumbletail and Boulder had disappeared. His eyes flickered onto the bob-tailed cat as he sat beside her. "Confused? I am a bit too." He chuckled and nudged her, sighing. "And I thought the drama was over," he said, dramatically. His amber eyes were on the direction of Bumbletail again and he was listening for anything.

Pebblekit ~ 7 moons ~ kit ~ Tom ~ Mentions: Stoneclaw, Bumbletail, Shadestep, Lynx, Tigerkit and Boulder

His attention snapped towards Stoneclaw at his tone, his wide yellow eyes on him and he saw Bumbletail's expression. He didn't quite understand what was happening.. he stood up and decided to go after Stoneclaw, no matter how much other cats protested, he was going. From what he heard, he guessed Stoneclaw felt alone from the words to the Tom beside the weird She-cat "uou are my only friend" or something like that.. he hadn't really been paying attention until he heard the hurt tones as well as the upset ones. He looked at all the bigger cats and then towards where Stoneclaw had gone.. without a second thought he bolted. Passed everyone, not stopping even to say something to Tigerkit... he had someone and Stoneclaw sounded cornered and Pebblekit was determined to make him feel better. He kept running, even as he exited camp and into the darkness. He could smell Stoneclaw yet, he was having trouble seeing.. he slowed when he was far enough away from camp and he looked around. His size made him less noticeable to any predator but, not invisible. He was careful from all the moons of living outside camp with his mother and Tigerkit. He made sure not to make too much noise as he looked for Stoneclaw.

"Why are you following me Pebblekit, your mother would not approve." He said suddenly behind the kit. His eyes full of hate and saddness.

Lynks leaned into Shadestep glad that she wasn't the only one confused, soon something else popped into her mind. "Do you think Bumbletail is right, you about us making a good pair." She said before her face turned red "I mean not that I err umm.. Ohh." She said when she realized what she had asked. *Stupid Lynks, why did you ask that?* She thought with an embarrassed look on her face. She couldn't look at Shadestep any longer her heart beating so hard it felt as if it would pop out her chest.

Bumbletail>>Boulder
Bumbletail still didn't look at Boulder not cause was mad but because for tge first time her heart has turned to dust. "I'm sorry Boulder I just need some time ok, don't blame yourself and don't leave." She said as she slowly continued to walk towards camp. "It just for the first time in my life Stoneclaw will not be around, so yea." She said her sweet and happy voice was now low and depressing.

He was looking around until he heard Stoneclaw's voice, noticing he was behind him, he turned around and looked up at the Tom. He could see just how sad and angry he was.. he said that his mother wouldn't approve.. but, Pebblekit was already ready for the scolding.. he just wanted to help Stoneclaw. "That doesn't matter right now.. I want to be with you and make you feel better!" He squeaked, obviously intending to stay with the Tom. He stared up at Stoneclaw, worry in his eyes, he intended to stay no matter what. Stoneclaw was his brother and he wasn't going to leave him!

"Fine know this I will nit return back to camp for a couple days, are you even weaned from your mother?" He asked laying down so he was at eye level with Pebblekit. If Pebblekit was weaned he would take him, if not he would take him back home. "Don't lie to me that is one thing I hate more than rouges." He said a little serious not trying to frighten Pebblekit.

He looked at Stoneclaw, listening to him contently and then giving a confused look.. he didn't even know what the word weaned meant.. but, if he meant he didn't need his mom like a newborn kit then yes? "I don't know what this weaned you are talking about.. but I don't drink milk or need Sunfang like a newborn kit of that is what you mean.." He said honestly. He wasn't scared of Stoneclaw at all, even when he seemed mad at him, he felt happy and safe with Stoneclaw. He looked back towards camp and then to Stoneclaw, "I'm not leaving you.." He said, as firmly as he could for a small cat.. "I don't want you to be alone.. I don't know what happened but, I want to stay with you and make you feel better!" He squeaked again, meaning every single word he said to Stoneclaw. His stomach rumbled and he looked around, hoping to find a mouse or something..

(Poor Boulder DX Sunfang would hug him but, she is out.. lol)

Lionstrike padded beside her, listening carefully to what she had to say. "I see... I wish I could have been here when the Rouges attacked. They caused such a big disruption, and heartbreak for many, I feel I could of help prevent some of that." He said sadly, his ample eyes shifting from the canopy above him to his paws. He felt so guilty for not being able to protect his clan, he deserved every bit of punishment that Starclan would bestow upon him. "It must have been hard for you, but I couldn't imagine another cat that would have done it better." He said gently, eyes rising from the floor to meet hers. He smiled, for a moment not quite believing that he was back at home with people he cared about. He hoped that he and Sunfang could be friends, they hadn't been that close before; but he had always considered her a friend.

She laughed and her purr deepened, her eyes following Shadestep and Lynx for a moment. "You're right, I fear that we may have to face many challenges in the moons ahead..." She said, her tone suddenly less bubbly. She looked back towards him, studying his face for a moment "so, what do you make of Lynx? She seems to of taken a liking to Shadestep." She said, smirking a little as she spoke.

Shadestep's gaze stayed where it was as he heard Lynks' words. The black tom felt himself tense. What should I say... He couldn't lie to her, not when she had asked directly. Glancing at Lynks, he took in her embarassed state. He hoped he was right about this. "Well, uh—yeah, I do." Shadestep's gaze was again trained on where Bumbletail had disappeared to. He was never this nervous when dealing with endearments of others. There was that something about Lynks that just made him anxious in this situation; he desperately wanted it to go right...

She walked as she listened attentively to the Tom, though her gaze wasn't on him and it looked like she wasn't really listening. But, she was listening and nodding as he spoke, she looked at him when he spoke and sadness in his tone. She sighed at his words and just kept quiet as he spoke some more, she smiled slightly, and smiled some more, a purr escaping her throat as he looked at her. "You shouldn't feel bad.. you didn't know what was going to happen." She purred soothingly as she spoke, "As for the hard part.. yes.. it was hard, still is. But, it could have been worse.." said lightly, not thinking about what could have happened, she didn't want to get stuck in those thoughts.. she looked ahead and took in another deep breath that was followed by another content sigh. "I am glad you are back.. you are safe and that is all that matters. No matter what happened, you couldn't have known what was going to happen, what to do.. none of us knew what was coming. None of us knew what to do.. even if we did, they wouldn't have let anything slide. But, that is in the past and we are in the present, it is best not to look back at all this when we have a new, brighter future." She said with a smile as she glanced towards him, she didn't mean to sound like some old, wise elder.. she just wanted to make him feel better.

Nightfang ~ 30 Moons ~ Apprentice: None ~ Tom ~ Senior Warrior ~ Mentions: Frostflight (Shadestep and Lynx)

He smiled and purred at her as she laughed and purred, he thought it was cute.. he nodded at her statement and looked around, "it will all be better in the long run." He smiled and looked back at her. Then laughed a little bit when she spoke of Lynx taking a liking to Shadestep, it wasn't a mean laugh.. it was more of a friendly chuckle. "She seems ok... I am still sceptical as she has only been here for a little bit.. but, it does seem she has taken a liking to Shadestep. He is a good choice if you ask me" he smiled "Shadestep and her will be just fine.." He said, but he still looked unsure of the She-cat even as he spoke nicely of her with Shadestep. He didn't really know Shadestep.. all he knew was that he was a great cat and friendly to all. Surely a great friend.. so, he guessed she would be fine with him.

Stoneclaw gave Pebblekit a serious look. "Know this, I won't return back to camp for a while maybe a moon or two." He said his tail flicking every two seconds. "Do you still wish to accompany me, you just got back home Pebblekit I will not be mad?" He said hoping Pebblekit would want to stay, he didn't want anything to happen to him.

Lynks felt her heart race when Shadestep answered her. "R-really, I'm glad to hear." She said her voice low and soft leaning into him slowly. She rubbed her head against his purring loudly, her bob tail wagging excitedly as she did.

He looked at Stoneclaw, meeting his serious gaze with his own serious one. After he finished speaking, he nodded, "of course! Home is not a home without every last family member.." said seriously, for a kit anyway.. but he was determined and the clan wouldn't do badly without a kit around.. there were two and only one in camp. They would be fine.. he moved close to Stoneclaw and gave his leg an affectionate head rub.

He smiled at her soothing words, it was so nice to be back in the company of other people, he felt accepted again. "Thank you" he purred, watching the emotions stirred in her reflected eyes. "I'm glad to be back too, I feel accepted again, perhaps not yet by everyone but I still feel welcome.... Your right, but It still would have been nice to fight for those that I love." He said, eager to change the subject so that they weren't dwelling on the past. He looked around the forest, taking note of what he saw. "The forest has changed since I was last here, I can't quite put my paw on it but something has changed." He said, the azure greenery and swaying trees captivating him as he padded beside the queen.

"Of course, so am I, after all, we have no reason to trust her. But we can't turn our back's on a cat who was alone and maybe suffering. She seems happy here, I think we made the right call not to chase her away." She said, leaning into him as a cool breeze swayed the trees and ruffled her coat. She thought for a moment, before glancing towards the mountains silhouetted against the sky. "Perhaps Shadestep will be the one to join us? But Lynx, I wonder how she would cope in a new place without him?" She murmured, her swishing tail sending a small moss ball racing across the ground.

She smiled at the Tom, happy that he felt accepted at least by some cats. She nodded at his words and looked around as he did. She smiled at how he talked about the forest changing but, he couldn't put his paw on it. "Everything has changed in a way... some for the better, some for the... ok.. I guess you could say. But never for the worse." She said as she looked at him, "but, some of the better reasons are the greatest things to think about. Like, you had come back to a clan that welcomes you with open arms, despite the few doubters. It isn't all bad.." she said positively.
