..I wonder if suggesting a clan stud book would do the trick. Like, a special link on clan's page where members or non-members could "submit" their lion, and they'd be listed like in search. Most clans are dedicated to breeding projects, so it'd be helpful to more than one clan.

Hmm that's also a good idea Mad, but could it have a feature where studs can be removed by a thread moderator or owner? That's really the main issue here...

If the stud book was ruled by clan owner/admins, I dont see why not? Kinda like the membership works, user sends in a request, clan owner accepts or declines, and can also boot the stud off the list, like booting members off the clan, and also users themselves can withdraw their stud from the book.

Ok guys ive decided how in going to do this, at least for now until lioden implements something new to handle this situation.

I'm going to split the stud thread into two threads, "Member Stud Thread" and "Non Member Stud Thread" to keep them separated and more organised.

Each thread will be INVITE ONLY and I will send each user a premade HTML form to post with. That way it will keep posts uniform and clean, but each person will be able to control whether or not their stud is listed and take their own stud down if they wish.

There is still nothing I can do about replaced studs so I will post warnings at the top of the thread, and each member will have to be responsible for paying attention. :P
Also, if you post your stud and then replace him...I WILL be coming after you to edit your post. LOL

This sounds perfect Mad! If we can get this implemented I will definitely be using it!!
For the time being, I'm going to set it up as I said above, but I would LOVE to have that Stud Book feature.

For the stud book idea, it could actually even work kind of like your den page, where instead of an open forum post, it could be a form you fill out to submit.

There could be a box to link a picture the same way there is a box to add your use icon/avatar on your den page, and then boxes to fill out for your stud name ( which could be made to link), then entries for base, mane color, mane type, etc and then entries for each marking slot.

That way the stud book format could be clean and uniform and people wouldn't have to know HTML, they could just fill out the form and link the photo URL the same way you do for your avatar. ( and the small amount of HTML needed could be built into the form )

Cerrates, Im actually suggesting a search-like list, not forum! So that the lion is automatically entered without the need to fill in anything - it would just give basic info and link, like search does.

Ah, hmm but it would be best to be able to have photos of each stud in the book. Otherwise it can be a huge pain to being up every link to see what they look like.

I imagine it'd be a tab on the clan page, similar to the ones for the clan hoard and raffles. Then it'd be nice and convenient. c:

Ive added a Headshot suggestion, like the one in our den showing our next lion? Nice, small, and automatic. Many more people will use it if it's automatic, a lot of people dont know how to upload screenshots even,
