Jesse looked at the other player,"buddy you don't want to attack me, I'm a much higher level than you are. So I suggest that you go or I will fight you," he said as he stood in front of Kyon to protect him from getting hurt again. Seeing that Jesse was indeed a higher level than him the other player took off towards the town they just left,"glad that's over. I don't like killing people unless I have no choice," sighed Jesse as he put his sword away.

I held onto Jesse at that moment just wanting to get away from this place, I guess I felt unsure about all this "One of those guys attacked me" I said to him guessing it was best that I let him know this and also knew that I trusted him a lot with this. I hoped this would go well.

"It's alright Kyon, I promise I won't let anybody hurt you ever again," replied Jesse as they made it to the next level town just before the sun went down. He led Kyon to a small inn where they could sleep for the night,"tomorrow morning we'll get up early and find us a job to to alright," replied Jesse as he laid down on one of the two beds in the room.

"Could I sleep beside you?" I asked him wanting to lay with him mostly since I felt safer with him, I knew I couldn't always expect him to do all this for me so I knew that I'd have to at least find away to earn money for the both of us since I knew that I couldn't just keep being scared about all this.

"That's fine with me, I really don't mind sharing," blushed Jesse as he quickly turned his head away so Kyon couldn't see that Jesse was starting to have feelings for him. Once Kyon was on the bed Jesse quickly fell asleep.

I cuddled up close to him because I wanted to feel safe and knew I was safe with him. I yawned a little before drifting off to sleep beside him. I woke up early the next morning deciding to go see if I could find some work for us both rather then having to just leave it up to Jesse since I knew he'd had done a lot for me already.

Jesse woke up the next morning and saw that Kyon was gone, he probably figured that Kyon went into town to look for some work for the two of them. Jesse yawned and got dressed before heading into town looking for Kyon.

I had found some work that would involve us clearing out a dungeon with a few high level monsters. I went back to tell Jesse about the work since I knew he would want to know about that plus I was pretty sure he wouldn't want me going off on my own. I soon spotted him and came rushing over to him.

"I kinda figured you'd be looking for work, I was going to do that so so could he some sleep. What's our job, what are we needing to do today," asked Jesse as they walked back to the small inn. Once back in their room he put on his armor before checking his sword to see if it was damaged. It looked pretty good to him,"are you ready to go Kyon," asked Jesse as he walked out of their room and walked through town.

I explained to him what we were needing to do. I wondered how this would go and if things would go well. I knew with this I could get a few levels but I wondered how much fighting Jesse would let me do. I knew I was going to do my best to protect him just as he had done for me.

"If there are some lower monsters for you to handle then I'll let you do those, but let me deal with the higher level monsters. Maybe it would be a good idea for us to buy some more health potions just in case something happens to one of us," replied Jesse as he bought more health potions, he sent 6 of them to Kyon and kept the remaining 6 for himself.

I knew there were mostly going to be higher level monsters but I didn't want Jesse feeling like he had to protect me like this. I was going to do my best to show that I wasn't so weak, I followed his lead on this hoping that that we'd do well. "I'll do my best" I told him.

"I know you will Kyon, but if you need help let me know. I'll never let anything bad happen to you I promise," smiled Jesse as he led the way to the dungeon they were supposed to go to. Once inside Jesse grabbed his sword when he saw a monster appear,"get ready Kyon here he comes," he yelled as he ducked under the monsters hand that reached for him.

I nodded to him making sure to dodge the attack of the monsers and managed to get a few hits of my own in. I knew I was good at dodging which had mostly been what had kept me alive this long. I looked over at Jesse making sure that he was ok.

Jesse saw a higher level monster coming at Kyon from behind, he ran into Kyon and pushed him out of the way. He took the hit himself instead of Kyon,"crap my health is at 20 percent, gotta use one of my health potions," he said as he quickly used his health potion. Jesse was back up on his feet in a minute but was a little bit weak from the hit he took, he defeated all of the monsters with Kyon's help.
