A vampire is going around and killing off government officials because of the excessive hunting that the government is putting towards the vampire species. No human outside of the government knows about the hunting but all vampires are known to be vile creatures, even though it's not always true. When a girl realizes the boy she has been crushing on is a vampire, she immediately believes that he is the vampire killing all the government officials. Damiaan shifted uncomfortably at her words. She was right, he couldn't just keep her here. But he also didn't want to be found out for what he was, but he could just starve her to death. He ground his teeth together for a moment, then sighed and stepped out of the way, going to sit down behind the counter. She was about to make a break for it but then realized that first, she wouldn't make it out the door and second, if he was the killer, he wouldn't have let her go. Damiaan pressed his head against the counter top, swallowing hard. He was screwed, most definitely screwed. If he didn't leave, he would be killed, he was absolutely sure of it. He jumped when he heard Kelsie's question, and he looked up at her for a moment before shaking his head, his voice a whisper, "No, I've never killed anybody."
