When Kelsie reached the bookstore she saw a figure sitting behind the register, he had his head buried in his arms. "Uh hi, does a guy named Damiaan happen to be working today?" She said to the man who actually seemed to be sleeping.

Damiaan didn't look up when he heard the door open, but he slowly lifted his head after a woman spoke her question. He didn't say anything for a moment, then raised an eyebrow at Kelsie, "He does, actually, can he help you?"

Kelsie jumped when the man lifted his head, Damiaan, she could feel her heart beating rapidly. "Oh, hi. I just wanted to make sure you were ok, you didn't faint or anything did you?"

Damiaan laughed and rubbed his face for a moment, "I'm fine, thanks. I was just tired, that had a lot to do with it." He looked at her again, and his eyebrows furrowed in concern, "Are you okay? I shouldn't have just run off like that."

Kelsie nodded, "No it's ok, I understand." She pursed her lips lightly before pointing in the direction of her school, "did you want to grab some coffee after school? We could continue or conversation before it got interrupted by my fall."

Damiaan nodded when she said she understood, unbelievable happy that she wasn't questioning him anymore and that she had accepted his apology. He looked at his hands for a moment when she invited him out to coffee, then looked up at her with a smile, "Sure, I wouldn't mind that."

Kelsie nodded before walking away, "I'll see you then." She waved goodbye before opening the door and making her way back to school.

He nodded back at her, and lifted a hand goodbye as she walked out. He heaved a large sigh, kind of frustrated that he couldn't go home and sleep now, but the more he thought about it, the more he decided he didn't mind too much.

Damiaan went upstairs to tell Rhona goodbye when he finished closing, and wished the woman good luck before shoving his hands in his pockets and going to the coffee shop on the university campus. As he walked, he looked at the sky and realized that he was probably going to offer to walk Kelsie home, since it was getting pretty dark. He opened the door and went inside, glancing around before ordering the same drink he had gotten the last time he was here.

After school, Kelsie went to her locker and took everything she needed for an exam tomorrow before walking to the cafe, seeing Damiaan already there ordering something. She walked up to him, smiled and ordered the same thing as before. After they got their drinks Kelsie went and sat down, putting her stuff down on the floor between her legs.

Damiaan smiled when Kelsie came up to him, and got his drink as he waited for her to order. He followed her to the table, and sat down with another smile, and, after taking a sip of his coffee, asked, "Sophia won't be joining us?" It was meant to be a joke, but he realized that she might take it the wrong way and think he didn't really want to be alone with her at all.

"No, she's busy with her boyfriend." Kelsie said taking a sip of her drink, "How was the rest of your work day?" She asked wondering what it was like to work at a bookstore all day. She couldn't imagine it was better than school.

He nodded at her statement, and took another drink of coffee while she spoke again, "My day was fine. I ended up sleeping for the last half of it, so that was pretty nice." He yawned, and then shook his head before looking back up at her, "How was school?" Vaguely, he wondered if they would find something else to talk about.

"Boring, my social teacher decided to talk about the vampire crisis all day, that was probably the only thing I was passionate about. Vampires are disgusting...I mean drinking blood? Really?" She ranted a bit shaking her head in annoyance.

Damiaan listened quietly, drinking his coffee as she spoke. What was he supposed to say? Oh, blood tastes great! Just like those key rings people suck on when they're children! Yeah, no way. So he just nodded and said simply, "It is gross."

Kelsie looked at him weirdly when all he said was 'it is gross'. "You don't seem like you agree with me, why, do you admire the species?"
