Cheetahpaw nodded at Smokestep. "Okay I'm gonna grab something real quick.Oh my Starclan I am just so exited!" Cheetahpaw skipped to the fresh kill pile and grabbed a scrawny rabbit. "You wanna share with Meadowpaw? There is plenty here for the both of us." Cheetahpaw sad around a mouthful of the stringy flesh. Prey had been getting rarer and rarer to find these days. . . no matter! She was going to be a warrior so soon! She could not worry about petty things such as the prophecy a a time like this. She felt a pang of loss as she thought about what her mother would have to say about her getting her warrior name. She always said she loved the name Cheetahspot. I've always liked Cheetahtail or Cheetahheart, but that was before her mother died. If her name became Cheetahspot, then it would feel as though her mother wasn't so far away.

Meadowpaw turned her head away to look at her mentor as she spoke to her. The young she-cat felt her smile that had grown on her face in excitement for Cheetahpaw, grow even bigger at the news. She could hardly keep herself from yowling aloud in excitement. This would be awesome! "OK! That'd be great!" The apprentice squeaked happily. Her bright green eyes glowed with excitement as she watched her mentor sit by Fogstar. She turned again to face Cheetahpaw, "I guess I get to come with you on your assessment!" Meadowpaw meowed grinning ear to ear. She had already been excited for Cheetahpaw, but now she was even more excited. Usually clan life was boring and slow-going, but lately it had been interesting.

Cloudmist nodded his head slowly as Fogstar spoke, waving his tail lazily over the ground as his clouded eyes searched for Tallpaw. He got up as his leader stopped speaking and opened his mouth to scent for his apprentice. In his old age, Cloudmist had lost most of his eyesight so relied on scent a lot. He purred softly as he caught a whiff of the young cat, starting to pad in the direction of his scent. "Tallpaw!" He croaked, his entire behind swaying with his steps. "We have to fill our herb stores before leafbare hits us." He added. The old cat swayed a little where he stood before planting his butt down to rest before they left. Lately he had noticed his age catching up with him, so he hoped to make Tallpaw a full medicine cat before he took his last breath.
