Splashpaw watched Lightningpaw go right for a moment before she herself stalked more slowly to the left. She preferred to sneak through the shadows than to run. She wanted to stalk slowly so the crow wouldn't be alarmed and see her by the thunderpath. She didn't want to take any risks at all! Though she was slow, she eventually made it to a bush where she could hide, peering out slightly between the branches with her strange blue and green eyes. She looked back at Owlsong to see what she was doing. Then she focused her gaze to the left side of the thunderpath, hardly blinking and her nose twitching and ears pricked as the young she-cat stayed alert for monsters to come roaring by.

Lightningpaw perked his ears as Owlsong started to have a scuffle with the bird. He turned his head briefly to see how she was fairing. She seemed to be struggling to keep the thing down and his ears flattened. She might fail this, and that would be less cats fed. Unless, of course, they found more skinny pieces of prey along the way.
He couldn't let himself be distracted. He looked back down the path and pricked his ear.
"Owlsong! You better hurry, there's a monster coming!"

Snakepaw looked around the camp. Every cat was either on patrol or lounging in the suns weakening rays. She was basking in the sunshine herself, all worries forgotten for the time being. Her belly rumbled as it reminded her of the shortage of prey. Was this a part of the prophecy? She wondered as she began to lift herself to her paws. She needed to do something, she realized. She was horribly bored and needed to stretch her claws.

Splashpaw's mismatched eyes widened in shock as Lightning paw gave the warning. She placed her ear to the thunderpath, but couldn't hear anything coming from her side. The she-cat decided to make a choice, she could help Owlsong kill the bird, or she could let her kill it on her own and risk the she-cat failing. Splashpaw had faith that her mentor could kill it on her own, but not with the short amount of time they had. With that, the young apprentice bounded away from her spot leaping onto the crow and digging her claws into the large thing. She sank her teeth into the animal as she helped Owlsong to kill it. Splashpaw felt a bit guilty that she left her spot on watch, but she couldn't have just stood there! That would of been to painful for the she-cat.

With Splashpaws added weight, Owlsongs felt her teeth finally meet and snap bone. However as the sound returned to her world, she could hear it. Lightningpaws yowl, the unmistakable roar of a two leg monster rushing their direction. It was a sound that caused creatures, cat and prey alike to freeze. Despite this, seeing her apprentice on the path snapped Owlsong into action.
"Splashpaw grab the crow!" With that she scrabbled to her own paws, making sure the younger cat went before her, head pushing the apprentice forward in desperation.
It all happened fast. The glittering monster was right there, roaring over the slight hill in the road. Owlsong aimed a final shove at Splashpaw, and attempted to leap out of the way herself. It came as some surprise when she felt the impact of the monster against her hindquarters, pushing the warrior forward with a startled yowl, and causing her to tumble slightly away from the apprentices. It was what Owlsong figured fire would feel like. Her back leg twisted awkwardly, a large gash running the length of the limb, tail limp and awkward. It was pure shock that kept the warrior struggling to stand, hissing in confusion and pain.

(Splashpaw can react to the pushing however! Owlsong just would have at least attempted that to get her out of harms way.)

Splashpaw was frozen in fear for a moment as she remembered the monster. At Owlsong's direction, the young she-cat picked up the crow and scrambled out of the way as Owlsong shoved her out of the thunderpath. In a blur of confusion, Splashpaw hadn't noticed her mentor wasn't next to her, but instead stuck behind her. The next thing she knew she heard a startled yowl from Owlsong. Surprised, the apprentice whipped around and saw Owlsong's leg bleeding and twisted at a strange angle. Splashpaw gasped in surprise, and raced over to Owlsong. She gingerly dragged the cat farther away from the thunderpath and stared down with worried eyes at her mentor. Her eyes widened with fear and she couldn't say anything for a moment. She then looked to Lightningpaw, "Get help! Quick!" Splashpaw yelped frantically to her fellow apprentice. Then she turned her gaze back to Owlsong, "We're gonna get you help!" She said in an attempt to sooth the she-cat.

((I have some bad news. I will not be able to do this rp much longer due to issues at home. I know that I just started on this page, but I was not expecting to not be able to rp so soon. I will not kill off my character too quickly, as I want it to be a part of the story line, and not super sudden. I will still play Lioden, but I just cannot do the rping anymore.))

Snakepaw prowled through the pine trees, sniffing for something. Anything! She could not smell the slightest bit of prey, but a different scent caught her nose hairs. What was that? Curiosity pricked at her as she followed the scent. She realized that it was crow, and the scent of her fellow warriors. She smelled the scent of blood and quickly rushed over to see what was going on.

StripedTail sighed annoyed with himself He had only caught two lousy birds and a mouse today. Usually he caught more than that, but today he just felt off his game. His tail lashed from side to side as he buried the tiny rodent, he started to head closer to camp maybe he had gotten next to the Thunderpath his nose wrinkled in disgust as he recalled the awful odor. A yowl in the distant alerted the young warrior, that sounded like it came from the Thunderpath he thought sprinting as fast as he could towards it. He stopped panting heavily. He looked around and spotted SplashPaw dragging OwlSong away from the path, a trail of blood followed. He darted to the apprentice, "What Happened?!" He yelled to her.

SunFall stretched lazily, she had recently brought back some prey and decided to take a moment to say hello to any cat that crossed her path. But until then she decided a nap was due, she was tempted to head into the warriors den but the tan tabby was far to comfortable in her spot by the entrance. Closing her eyes she laid her head on the ground, realizing that almost all the apprentices were absent from camp... she shrugged it off they were probably getting an evaluation done, SunFall thought with envy. she couldn't wait to get her own apprentice one day.

Owlsong shuddered as she struggled to get up, unwilling to accept what had just happened. The damage seemed to be contained to one leg and her tail, both a blessing and a curse at the stubborn warrior forced herself to three paws, swaying, with eyes glazed in pain.
"It's fine. Are you ok?" Her mixed eyes swiveled over Splashpaw, quivering in their sockets. A slight relief cut through the fire in her veins, glad to see her apprentice was unharmed. With a grunt her body returned to the earth, as the sound and scent of more cats met her. Narrowed eyes noticed Stripedtail, and she was glad to see a fellow warrior. She tried to twitch her tail in greeting, but to no avail, instead hissing from the sharp pain.
"My fault. " She mumbled with a faint pant, forcing herself to rise once again, trying to hop forward on her good limbs. If she could make it to their medicine cat, she'd be ok. The thought of it held the fierce she-cat together, even if her claws dug tightly into the earth below.

Splashpaw looked surprised as Stripedtail came up. "We were hunting a crow... and a monster came and--" The apprentice stopped speaking as her mentor pulled herself to her feet again and tried to hobble forward on three legs. "No you don't!" Splashpaw growled quite rudely to her mentor, "I'm helping you get home. Someone get the crow." She meowed rushing up to help her mentor. "Lean on me, and don't tell me you can make it on your own, you obviously can't." Splashpaw mewed, her eyes flashing with worry for her mentor, even though her mew was confident and stubborn.

Lightningpaw had since started running, panicked. This was his fault! He offered this idea and it went terribly wrong! if either Owlsong or Splashpaw died... it would be on his head. His stupid head, full of stupid ideas.
He sped through the territory, tripping on underbrush once, but quickly righting himself. His legs burned and ached with fatigue, and he was sure thorns cut little scratches in his side, but he had to fight through that, to save Owlsong.
He burst into camp and yowled. "I need help! Shadowleaf... Blossompaw... anyone! Owlsong needs help!"

StripedTail watched OwlSong struggle and darted forward with SplashPaw to catch the injured warrior. He shook his head looking to the apprentice "We can worry about the crow later" he said calmly. 'Right now we need to get OwlSong to the medicine cat." He mewed confidently, trying to hide his fear. OwlSong's leg looked mangled he noted to himself. StarClan give OwlSong the strength to fight, he thought to himself.
