Tallpaw looked all around at the unfamiliar territory, he looked back at Shadowleaf "When will we arrive to camp?" he asked in a soft voice, his tail swaying from side to side as he looked at her with curious eyes, he continued to pad alongside her, waiting for her responce.

ShadowLeaf looked straight ahead. "In just a minute." She purred. She had an odd liking for this apprentice, he had a good heart, she could tell. When they arrived, ShadowLeaf told the apprentice to stay put. She padded into the leaders den. "EmberStar? We have a visitor." ShadowLeaf said in the scary calm voice she had.

Emberstar's ears pricked at the sound of pawsteps entering his den, shortly followed by an eerily calm voice, which he had learned belonged to the clan's medicine cat, Shadowleaf. "A visitor?" he echoed. "I'm sorry, Ravenclaw, but we'll need to finish this some other time." With a sigh, the multicolored tomcat lifted his form to a standing position and trotted out of the den.

"So, where's this visitor?" the tortoishell inquired, looking back at Shadowleaf. A WindClan scent hit his nose moments after he exited the hollow, but still waited for the black-and-white she-cat's response.

Tallpaw looked at Shadowleaf, he felt nervous, this was the first time meeting the ShadowClan leader, his gaze still on Shadowleaf, before walking to Emberstar "I am the visitor Emberstar, I've come here because my leader, Fogstar, requested me to tell you that tonight there will be a emergency gathering" he looked at Emberstar with nervousness pouring from his eyes, his tail moved nervously, then he looked to the ground, hoping that Emberstar wouldn't question Fogstar's decition to make a emergency gathering.

Emberstar's eyes narrowed at word of an emergency gathering. What could possibly have need for such an event. He was about to open his mouth to comment when Shadowleaf spoke. He allowed his form to loosen. If his medicine cat trusted the WindClan cat, then there was less of a reason for him to be suspicious. "Thank you for letting me know. I'll gather my cats at once and prepare to head to Fourtrees for whatever reason your leader may have." He dipped his head towards the apprentice with a small smile.

(If you're in ShadowClan and interested in going to the gathering, you can feel free to now. Since I'm not sure who or who is or isn't interested, I didn't include the part where Emberstar asks cats to accompany him to the emergency gathering.)

The russet colored elder slipped out of the elder's den grumbling about the lack of respect younger cats had for there elders. She looked around for something interesting. Oh sure some StarClan cats said they had to live off fish for now on, but that wasn't interesting that was disgusting! she padded up to the fresh-kill pile, her head and tail high as she walked. The elder sniffed at it. How small it was! Couldn't she get a decent meal around here? Now grumbling about what she would of done better if she was younger, she padded back to the entrance to the elders' den and began surveying the camp again.

Lightningpaw sat in camp, staring at the fresh kill pile. He was so hungry, and there was so little left... He went hunting the day before, and barely found anything. He whimpered. Things have gotten so hard since the prophecy was revealed.
He watched as Russetflight stomped around in a grumpy fit and edged toward the elder's den.
"Russetflight? Hello. Are you hungry? Owlsong and I were about to go hunting, I could bring something back for you."

Russetfelt turned her green eyes gratefully to him. Finally an apprentice who had respect for an elder! "Yes that would be wonderful." The elder mewed happily. "Thank you." She remembered to add. She had to encourage any youngster who was polite and good to an elder. That seemed to be so disappointingly rare these sad days. She wondered thoughtfully if the apprentice even could manage to bring back any prey. Prey seemed to be very scarce, and she doubted that even the best of their warriors would bring back a decent meal. Even StarClan doubted their abilities!

Owlsong had been listening to the elder and apprentice talk, tilted in her usual way of sitting to get the best out of her half hearing. A purr rumbled in her chest slightly at the elder-cats grumpy looking exterior. No matter what happened, it seemed some things never changed. Rising to muddy paws, Owlsong padded closer, giving a respectful nod of her head, glancing between the two.
"Prey has been oddly scarce, even with the coming Leaf-Bare, so this will really put our hunting skills to the test." Her eyes twinkled with a mischievous nature and she rose, giving Russetflight a over exaggerated once over.
"To bad we don't have you guys out there. I'm sure your years of experience would be nothing but a boon in these trying times." mismatched gaze sparkled with the light teasing. Owlsong knew the chances of an elder deciding to wander out and about were sllim to none, especially with the cold effecting sore joints, and the fact that there were plenty of other young cats to take the mantle.
"Perhaps bird chasing might be our best bet, I've seen one or two pecking around. Might be something." the young warrior frowned, teasing replaced with a pensive scowl as she outlined the best areas in the territory in her mind.

Russetflight's gaze switched from the apprentice to Owlsong. She listened to her as she spoke about the lack of prey, and felt pride fill up inside her as she commented on her skills. She puffed out her chest a bit and replied, "Yes, yes, well I have done my share of hunting. Must leave it up to you youngsters now." She meowed thinking she was being very modest. She nodded to the two cats and padded back inside the elders' den to take yet another nap. Napping seemed to be her specialty these days!

Splashpaw padded back into camp hiding in the shadows of the trees. She shouldn't have been out of camp without her mentor, or a senior warrior, but she had wanted to explore a bit and her curiosity had lead her astray from the camp. She looked both ways before slinking out of the shadows and trotting along calmly and innocently back to the apprentice den.
