Eyes wide and pupils dilated, Pinebreeze turned to face the apprentices. The tom was now comparable to a monster of a cat; he looked much larger than any normal cat should with the way his fur stood on end, and the fear and concern mixed into an awkward contortion of a face. "There's no time to explain anything now, the way he is, he could lash out at any of us! I want you two to go with your mentors and find as many elders and apprentices as you can, and leave for the brush outside of Fourtrees, bef-"

Pinebreeze's words were cut short at the sound of a garbled snarl and a another slew of disturbing babble dripping from Sunstar's maw. When he tackled Willowstar, Pinebreeze's heart jumped into his throat. "Go! Now!" he hissed at Fleetpaw and Goosepaw, jumping down from his perch and nudging them away roughly. The apprentices and elders wouldn't be able to defend themselves as easily should Sunstar go after someone else, or - StarClan forbid - if something else had the disease as well, and someone was left behind.

At Froststar's call, Pinebreeze bounded through the crowd, nudging stray shocked warriors and other scared cats of ShadowClan toward their leader while making his way to her. When at her side, he let out a quick meow of, "Fleetpaw and Goosepaw should be gathering the rest of the Clan with their mentors, we'll be leaving shortly."

the frail old she-cat had been trampled by the many panicked warriors fleeing from Sunstar, raising her self up she just barely heard her leader over the commotion. 'what is going on? this has never happened at a gathering, we're all doomed!' the thoughts in her head fought for dominance as she limped away from the clearing with her short fur bushed up and her mossy eyes wide with fear.

Foxpaw stared in horror as his leader lashed out at everyone. He froze in shock. Everything melted away. The panicked cats, the escaping warriors, the frightened yowls. Everything. Except for Sunstar. Why was he lashing out? He'd never break the peace at a Gathering, of all things! Because everything melted away, he didn't know about the cat trying to nudge him away. Eventually, the warrior gave up and ran, leaving Foxpaw behind.

Sunstar - Leader - Thunderclan - 6 Lives - Mentions: Everyone

Sunstar snaps his jaws at Willowstar, pushing against her weight and trying to shove her off. He sees a random (NPC) apprentice running past him, and he grabs at her, biting down on her leg. She yowls, squealing in pain. He then crawls on top of her, screeching in her face as foam exploded from his mouth.
"Dark Forest demon! I will send you back where you belong!" He swipes at her face, leaving deep marks in her muzzle.
His claws were about to go down on her throat, when a soft voice echoes in his brain. "Sunstar, this is not you."
He lifted his claws away, knowing Daisyheart's voice. He yells, "Daisy, you're dead! You're dead because of me, and I couldn't protect you! I am protecting you now, my love... The Dark Forest will bow at our feet!"
Sunstar didn't remember the rest, just the slowing breath of the apprentice, lying at his feet.

(At one point I want someone to knock him out, whenever it gets "bad enough". Sunstar has always been good and fought for the right principles, so I wanted to put some more backstory in by having something drastic like this happen.)

Foxpaw thought this was the end. He tried to run, but his paws were rooted. 'He's going to see me, then it will all be over.' He thought, strangely calm. "Sunstar!" He screeched at the top of his lungs. "Sunstar! Please! This is NOT YOU! Stop, Or you WILL GET SOMEONE KILLED!" He screeched, hoping the ThunderClan leader would listen to him. He ran near Sunstar, and halted 2 fox-lengths away. "Please. This isn't you." He mewed. "This isn't the leader I've always looked up to. The cat that i fear, and respect. Stop, and listen" He mewed hoping he could get to the leader. His REAL Leader.

tidefur froze as he saw the apprentice go limp under the leader's paws, and the chaotic world blurred around him the shrieks and yowls all blurred and out of focus. in that single moment, he stood shaken down to the bones, only the dull pain of his scratches kept him slightly focused.

Willowpaw's legs carried her towards the ThunderClan's leader, her eyes held fear but she had do to something "Sunstar you have to stop!" yelled the small apprentice, she feared that Sunstar might attack her but she knew that sooner or later he might end up killing someone "Somecat will die if you keep doing this" she said quietly but loud enough so that he could hear that and possibly calm him down.

Having been knocked off, Willowstar pushed herself back to her paws when she saw Sunstar attack an apprentice and was about to sink his teeth into the apprentice's neck when he froze and started to babble again. Flexing her shoulder where his claws had sunk in, she stopped when she saw a Thunderclan apprentice race over and try to reason with the sick leader. Seeing what had happened to the other apprentice, Willowstar quickly dashed in front of the apprentice, blocking off any access to the leader. "He can't be reasoned with. He's delusional from this sickness and just attacked an apprentice. Return to the warriors and deputy of your clan before you get hurt or sick as well. None of us want anymore injuries or casualties here."

Hearing a familiar voice, she glance over to see Willowpaw, an apprentice from her clan, trying to reason with the sick tom as well. "Willowpaw, I want you to stay back. It's the same sickness that we have going on with the prey near us. We can't risk any of us getting sick." She explained before her gaze shifted back to the sick tom. She knew that if this continued any longer, things would get even further out of control and even she wouldn't be able to handle.

Willowpaw looked at Willowstar, the young apprentice glanced once more at Sunstar and she started to back away "O-Okay Willowstar" the young apprentice's eyes were still glued into Sunstar's form as her form slowly retreatened, she knew that Willowstar was right, and she knew that she couln't afford getting sick specially now that she had just become an apprentice, the young apprentice's eyes quickly went back towards Willowstar, wondering what her leader would do.

Frecklepaw froze, fearing pouring...no oozing out of the 6 moons old cat's eyes. Her trembles didn't stop when Tidefur picked her up, but she did run. Ran like a bunny being chased by a cat on the moor. Never had she seen anything like this. Fear could be smelled miles away, her pelt stood straight as a pole. As soon as she realized, Dewpaw was behind her where was Raven...slicing of Tidefur made her eyes stare at Sunstar, everything went slow. Tidefur...No! She heard Tidefur's warning but, she had to find Ravenpaw...No needed to find Ravenpaw. "We have to find Ravenpaw, Dewpaw! Please!" She mewed in a begging tone, her sense of calm became panic as she raced around for her brother. Frecklepaw's ears rose and lower with every breathe of another cat. She looked in fear as tears almost ran out her eyes.

Froststar nodded to Pinebreeze, "Good, I want them out of here. I will nit bring back a sick cat to camp, I will tell you now, no matter who they are. " As she paused, she gazed back at Sunstar and the surrounding cats who were trying to reason with him. Her face grew ugly at the thought of them trying to. Couldn't they see that he was beyond reason? That he was beyond Starclan? Whatever he was infected with, she knew that she would get no help from their warrior ancestors as they had let a leader be bitten and go on a rampage at a gathering. It wasn't something she wanted to think about, having always had faith in them but now...she didn't know. But she did know that cats would get hurt if this continued. Sunstar needed to be taken down, at least knocked out until they figured out what was wrong. She looked back to Pinebreeze and said solemnly, "Take who you can to camp. I-I will try to help Willowstar. I guess it will be up to us to help him. Starclan won't help us now."

And with that she padded back cautiously to the Riverclan leader and mewed lowly, "What are we to do?"

Her head swiveled at the voice beside her and saw that Froststar had carefully padded over. Giving herself a second to catch her breath, her gaze shifted from Sunstar to Froststar, her expression a mix of caution and concern. "The only thing that I can think of is to try and knock him out. From what i'm seeing, he's too delusional to recognize his clanmates and I don't believe it's safe for him to be freely roaming around. If we let him free, that leaves him a huge opportunity to infect more cats and that'll create a huge danger to all of us." The Riverclan leader explained. "That's my idea, though if you can think of something else, i'm open to ideas."

"Fleetpaw, let's go," Goosepaw meowed, his voice wavering with fear. By Starclan's grace, was every Gathering this chaotic and scary?

Turning to catch one last glance at Sunstar, Goosepaw's eyes widened at the sight of him lashing out at Willowstar. Gulping, he dropped his bushed-out tail between his legs—completely paralyzed with fear. Gatherings were supposed to be peaceful. Was...Starclan trying to tell them something?

"What did we do?"

In an instant the stump-tailed shecat was at the two leaders' sides, her nostrils flaring and her dun-colored fur bristled.

"What in Starclan's sweet name is going on?" Stonefell growled. "This isn't Sunstar. This doesn't feel right."

Inhaling a slow breath, Stonefell turned her stormy gaze to Willowstar, calming her voice. "I don't mean any disrespect, Willowstar, but Sunstar is far too strong to be simply 'knocked out.' He would plow through any one cat like a Monster on a Thunderpath, but if multiple cats attack he might become overwhelmed. Overwhelmed, and open to attack."

Foxpaw was looking at the ThunderClan leader for any sign of his true self. A Big she-cat stepped in his way. "He can't be reasoned with. None of us want anymore injuries or casualties here." Foxpaw looked at her in fright, and mewed "What will you do to him?" All of a sudden he burst like a kit. "IT'S NOT FAIR! WHERE'S BRIGHTSTRIKE?! I WANT MUM!" He yowled, terrified. He broke down. He looked at the she-cat, realizing he just made a fool of himself, and backed away. After a few fox-lengths, he lay down, to scared to move.

tidefur suddenly remembered his terrible dream and looked up finding that a few bats were swirling in front of the moon. a large drop of white foam dripped down into the clearing landing right in his eye and he flinches blinking rapidly to get rid of the frothing substance. turning to Sunstar he approaches cautiously "Sunstar please stop trust me I am a medicine cat, the dark forest is not here you and your clanmates are safe" he mews his voice as steady as he can make it. tidefur glances down at the bloody body at the thunderclan leader's feet and shudders feeling his tail bush up again.
