The Randomness apps need to be edited. I propose the Randomness of the Apps be edited to where when you use an Applicator, whatever mark it give you WILL NOT show up again the next time you use that Applicator on the same lion. It can the third time, but no consecutive same markings. Iβve gotten doubloon applicator (a WASTE of 180gb) three times in a row on one lion and Bloodbourne Vitiligo Three times in a row on one of my Sunset Kings (a waste of 450bb or 4 days of BB collecting) This needs to change, especially in the case of those very hard to get/very expensive apps like Ice or Doubloon. The App should operate on a Without Replacement clause, as described above (If you, for example, get Bloodbourne dapple one, you wonβt get it again your next time, but the NEXT time is fair game.) POST AMENDMENT 1After some discussion, I could see some of the inexpensive marks such as Ivory, Fiery, Blazing, Cocoa, Nacre, Unholy, Bloodbourne ect. maintaining their random status as they tend to stay pretty cheap even when an event's passed AND while at that particular event, they're fairly easy to get. But more expensive Applicators like Doubloon, Ochre, Sepia, Auburn, Auburn/Ebony Felines, Kiss From a Rose, Spicy Ice, Maroon Four, ect. be NOT random based on the sheer amount of effort it takes to get them. Either effort or currency-- these apps tend to be very expensive. "Each time a marking app is used, your chances of getting the same marking consecutively decrease. So let's say you're using a Fiery Unders app, and the marks look like this: Fiery Belly: 25% Fiery Bottom: 25% Fiery Undershine: 25% Fiery Undercover: 25% You use a Fiery Unders app, and you get Fiery Bottom. The next time you use a Fiery Unders app, the odds look like this instead: Fiery Belly: 27.5% Fiery Bottom: 17.5% Fiery Undershine: 27.5% Fiery Undercover: 27.5% (this discrepancy is a little high so maybe it could be a smaller change than that) ... And so on. Once a different marking is obtained, it resets the odds back to 25/25/25/25. This leaves some of the randomness without completely screwing over the user." wonderfully said/added by Thalath. |

I don't see how that's a problem. Personally, if marks weren't random, i'd but much more interested in buying them. Just means I can put more marks on more lions instead of wasting them all on one. If you don't wanna take the risk, you don't buy, therefore no one makes any profit. THATS harmful, the other just opens more possibilities. I agree with Heda. That's a shitty market, relying on people's back luck. 0 players like this post! Like? |

At either extreme, there will be a market fluctuation - and with your points being made, it could quite possibly drive the prices for applicators higher. Is there anything that really stops the markings from being applicable from the get-go? Does anyone know if they are actually coded to have one particular mark less obtainable than others? Ie, does one marking fail to appear 9 times out of 10 in comparison to the other markings? 0 players like this post! Like? |

It certainly seems that way. With four marks you think there'd be a 25% chance for each but...is there actually? Like do we have proof or are we assuming? 0 players like this post! Like? |

I certainly hope they're 25/25/25/25, since that should be the entire point of each app having 4 marks. If not, then yeah, they really aren't actually fair, because certain marks would be "weighted" over the others when they shouldn't be because they can be a perfect 25% for each. 0 players like this post! I only ask, because there are other marks that don't seem to pass as easily as others? Perhaps just bad luck, or my misfortune, but I was just curious as to whether there may actually be a different ratio. For example, nearly every time I use fiery unders, it throws fiery belly. I have also noticed with the bloodbourne markings thus far .. There seems to be a lot more lions floating around with bloodbourne belly. Maybe just my imagination? Perhaps an admin may be able to confirm the ratios? 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 24/10/17 @ 18:19:06 by CALA² (#105937) |

In contrast to your fiery belly every time, take a gander at this (you may have already seen it. It's a quote from Typh on page three); 0 players like this post! Like? |

I don't get it. This is something anyone who's wanted a certain mark from a certain app has probably struggled with at one point or another, but people are so resistant to change. If the random aspect spooks people so much, just make the apps harder to get. At least you'll know for a fact you'll be spending X amount of currency instead of entertaining the possibility of gambling ALL of the currency away because a randomizer gave you the same thing 5+ times in a row and costs you gb you could've saved. Players shouldn't be getting screwed over for their hard work. The actual item I want shouldn't be an obstacle in and of itself. Getting the currency can be headache enough, getting 8 of the same mark you don't want is just the icing on the shitcake. Something needs to change and I think Thalath had the answer. Enclave apps shouldn't be random. I'm not budging on this issue. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Why not just have the enclave apps be non random but the other apps can remain unchanged. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Because that still leaves situations like Typh's unhelped. It's fucked up to spend that much money and not get a measly, worthless marking (because marking markets crash so fast it doesn't matter). 0 players like this post! Like? |

Nope, other apps need to changed too. Particularly, they need Thalath or Soot's change. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I don't care about this issue because I am rarely inclined to use the random apps, but I support because a) I pity Typh and b) most of those markings (with the exception of the enclave/referral ones) are way too accessible as soon as they're released (like bloodbourne stains right now) that there's really no market for them in the first place? Most marks pass so easily that like... if someone tried to sell me a cub with all four bloodbourne marks I might pay like... 500sb? If a stud had all four I might pay like max 250 more than I would without them. Markings like that definitely add to the price of a lion that's already worth something (like you would be able to get more for a felis cub with three ice markings than a felis cub with three custom marks) but by themselves markings aren't a huge draw unless it's like a recently released breed only mark, or a recently released referral/enclave mark. Markings already lose their value pretty damn quickly, most of them now are just for... making your lions pretty? So I don't really believe the idea that making it easier to get the marks you want would devastate the market. It would just make it easier to customize your lions the way you want them. 0 players like this post! Like? |

True. As long as people are being greedy and hoarding them, marks lose value very quickly. I'm sure we all remember margay? Ginger rosette, all the feline 8s aside from maybe silky, 0 players like this post! Like? |

Man I love getting two of the same mark in a row i dont want and then having to pay even more money to remove those marks Ugh, come on Lioden shit like this really messes with consumer morale. At LEAST decreases the chances of consecutive duplicated marks if not get rid of them altogether. 0 players like this post! Like? |
