The gray and white she-cat stepped into the camp, a fish in her jaws. From the shoulders down, her fur was darkened from water. She made her way to the fresh-kill pile without a word.
She had gone hunting at around dusk, like she sometimes would. She liked the solitude, and she was helping the Clan by delivering food how she would best: fishing alone. Because of this, she found nothing wrong with hunting so late at night. Of course, she did miss out on some sleep because of this, but she paid little attention to herself.

As Dewfrost set her fish in the fresh-kill pile, she heard someone meow her name. With a flick of her torn gray ears, she turned her head to investigate the source. Hawkpaw. Dewfrost huffed, "Yes?" The she-cat reared around, turning her body to fully face the apprentice who called her name, but she didn't move any closer to him.

He looked over to Iceclaw, who had asked him to go with the hunting patrol, and he nodded, "Sure. Just make sure everyone is focused on the hunt." He turned back to the clearing and spoke again, his powerful voice echoing slightly around the clearing, "Breezedawn, Dewfrost and Sandfang, I'd like you two to join me on the border patrol for today." He looked to each other the cats he had called out before he jumped down from Highrock, landing steadily on all four paws.

Dewfrost flicked the end of her tail before speaking, "Very well." She often didn't like small talk, when some Clanmates would make acquaintance with her only to move away and shatter the friendship that didn't exist. It seemed pointless to her, that some cats would do this, and she often thought that others would do this to gain trust or get on someone's 'good side.'
Dewfrost blinked, her yellow eyes hidden until she opened them again after a split second, and she sauntered over to her favorite spot in camp; a secluded spot in the shade around one of the edges to camp. It provided solitude but never silence, as chatter and sometimes laughter or yowls of playing Clanmates would fill the air, but it kept her alert, and would always let her know if there was a Clan meeting.

Hawkpaw looked to his deputy. Not really knowing what to do he sat down silently his tail twitching. He wanted to be a deputy one day. But he knew he would have to become a warrior first. That was his number one priority. Right now, his only priority. He looked up to his deputy saying nothing else.
