Dawnclan Territory:
Dawnclan's territory is lightly forested, with wider, slow rivers connecting to the two small central lakes. The terrain is moss covered and gently hilly. A sandy area on the edge of a shallow river is their training area, and to the south is the two-leg gathering place where small nests nestle between thin cut trees on the edge of a small lake, which merges into the two-leg town the more south one goes.
The camp is nestled in a dip in the land, with a series of rocks that make shelters for the Leader and Medicine cat dens, as well as the nursery. The rest of the nests are in old burrows, the edge of the camp sheltered with prickly brambles. It is spacious and open, with plenty of places to relax on moss covered stones or tussle in soft grass.
the territory is marked to the east and north by a large, uncrossable river. To the south by the two-leg camp ground, and to the east by their boundary with Duskclan, which is marked most notably by a large spread of rocks along a thin river that eventually turns into Duskclan terrain. It is a spot of much conflict.

Duskclan Territory:
Duskclan's territory lies to the east side of the territories, in thicker forest where mist lingers longer in the mornings, and navigation requires agility and precision. The rivers here are often thinner, but more wild with faster waters in many of the places. Their training area is a clear patch of forest where the ground is soft and a fallen log and tree stumps provide a boundary.
Their camp is nestled up, and along the side of a hill that inclines sharply, with pathways between and going up its walls. The dens nestle close together, with the Leaders den above inside a fallen tree root system, the medicine cat below in the same system. The dens are in a mixture of burrows and makeshift nests in the brush, some nests in the jagged hill walls. Outside the nests they have a spacious area for sharing tongues and meetings, protected by thick foliage and the numerous rocks.
Their territory is marked by a sheer cliff drop to the east, an uncross able river to the north, the two-legs to the south, and their border with Dawnclan.
2000px-Decorative_text_divider.svg.png

 CURRENT EVENTS
Two-legs are in the territory!
Currently due to the nice weather, two-legs have been more prevalent than normal, walking along the paths that trace between both clans.
Though they often leave cats alone, the threat of dogs and scared prey is high.

NEWS

CLUES
Two-legs have taken a Duskclan cat.
Two-leg traps have been found in both clans.
A Dawnclan cat was killed by an unknown source.
A strange new scent has been found all over the territory, its source leading apparently south.
Ravenblaze has seen a Starclan sign in the clouds.
~~
During a storm, Duskclan cats found three bodies, all deceased. Two Dawnclan, one Duskclan.
Dawnclan on the same patrol found a few pawprints, hard to identify but heading what looks like south.
Mothpaw, Ravenblaze, and Hornetpaw have seen signs in the clouds, cats fighting against an unknown darkness.
~~
Two strangers have been found in the territory, one taken by the two-legs another who seems to be nesting near the Cavern on Dawnclan territory.

The traps are discovered to not be for the cats.

Larkclaw || 15 Moons || Female || DawnClan Warrior
Location: The Cavern || Mentions: Umbraclaw, Owlfeather, Redeye, Storm

Things quickly went from bad to catastrophic. With both deputies coming so close to the mouth of the cave, the space felt small and crowded, causing what Larkclaw had feared would happen: Storm snapped. She had been rooted to the spot when Storm’s claws touched Redeye’s throat, and now she had no time to prepare for the huge creature barreling towards her.

For a cat with only three legs, Storm had at least twice the force behind her paw that any other warrior Larkclaw had ever met. The movement was fluid, knocking the wind out of her before a claw snagged her fur and set her into the wall of the cavern. If any air was left in her lungs before, it certainly wasn’t now. Pain shot down her leg and spine on impact, and a loud ringing started in her ears as her eyes squeeze shut. It took a few moments before she could open her eyes again and try to breathe, only to find it she couldn’t take them in as deeply as she could before. The tabby warrior tried to turn her head to look at her shoulder, but her neck ached enough that she decided against it, instead just trying to focus her gaze ahead while her hearing finally came back to her. Slowly she stood, staggering to her feet and stepping back a few paces, not daring to let the gaze of the serval leave her sight. Those terrifying eyes were the only part she could see.

“She said to leave,” Larkclaw grunted, not caring who she angered with her words. “If the two of you hadn’t gotten so close, he wouldn’t have those cuts on his neck and I wouldn’t have this puncture wound. Now get your warrior and get out! What just happened will probably leave this cat unable to trust any of us in the future.” At the end of her growl, the uneasy feeling the cave gave her worsened, and she decided to turn around and shoot a glare at both deputies before leaving the dim cavern and heading back towards the direction of camp.

Ravenblaze | Dawnclan Former Medicine Cat | 25 Moons | White Green-Eyed Tom | Dawnclan Camp | Hornetpaw, Open!

Ravenblaze's anxieties were quenched at Hornetpaw's murmurs. He watched as his apprentice... no, his former apprentice, fetch some herbs from the herb store. He watched distantly as the other tom chewed the herbs. He was supposed to know what herbs to use, but it was almost like someone had reached into his very core and ripped out everything relating to his previous passion. He was snapped out of his deep thought by the poultice being spread across his wound. A soft purr rumbled through him briefly. The question soon made the purring stop. He looked up at the roof of the den, possibly giving away his own cluelessness. "It sounds right, you're a bright cat H-Horentpaw, have more faith in yourself." He assured. He may have forgot all he knew about herbs, but the faith he had in Hornetpaw had remained. His ears twitched at the sudden yowl. His heart sped up a little. Unwillingly, his mind reeled back to the unpleasant memories he had of his disappearance. Eyes squeezing shut in pain, the white tom tried to force his mind away from that.

A quiet wail made its way past the former medicine cat's lips. He yearned for a cat to come and sit next to him, groom him and tell him that everything was fine now. He recalled his days as a kit and the few times he had been upset. His mother had rhythmically run her tongue over his head and let him curl against her. She had purred, assuring him that whatever it was would pass. He put a paw over his nose and tried to block out the light in the den, wanting to focus on the memory of being a kit safely nuzzled against its mother.

⇺ [ Hornetpaw ] ⇻
18 Moons • Male • DawnClan • Medicine Cat Apprentice
Location: Camp • Mentions: Ravenblaze, Cloudburst, Flamepaw

"Yes, but...but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the kits. Don't panic," Hornetpaw reassured the queen, his voice shockingly calm considering his heart was currently beating so rapidly he thought it might burst. The temptation to call for Ravenblaze was strong, but the older tom desperately needed rest and something about him seemed terribly off. Hornetpaw would have liked to stay by his side, it was clear his mentor had been through something traumatic and could use some comforting, but right now Cloudburst's care was his main priority. Flamepaw's arrival in the nursery frazzled him a bit and made the whole place feel overcrowded, but he kept from ordering the ginger apprentice away, merely nodding at her offer to help. The stick wasn't a bad idea at all and he privately wished he'd thought of it himself.

Fade to black...

The birthing was thankfully free of complications...unless you considered two stillborns and a third kit barely clinging to life as such. The mood in the nursery was dreadfully depressing. Cloudburst had been through so much already and to now lose three of her offspring? He couldn't begin to imagine how she must be feeling right now. "You did so well Cloudburst. Mousefur would be proud," Hornetpaw mewed softly, gazing down at the two surviving kits with hope in his eyes. They were small, practically hairless and one of the kits lacked a tail (much to his alarm during the birthing), but otherwise appeared strong enough.

"Flamepaw, fetch more bedding. The softest you can find. These kits will need a little extra help keeping warm," he asked the she-cat who had stayed to assist him, sure she wouldn't object to helping further. "Would you like me to bury them or...do you want a moment with them?" He asked gently, referring to the motionless forms of the kits who hadn't made it.

•:•.•:•.•:•:•:•:•:•:•:•☾☼☽•:•.•:•.•:•:•:•:•:•:•:•

⇺ [ Redeye ] ⇻
36 Moons • Male • DuskClan • Warrior
Location: Cavern • Mentions: Storm, Owlfeather, Sootpaw, DawnClan Patrol

For a split second, Redeye thought maybe everything would end in his favor. Storm had clearly understood him this time, her claws digging into his throat a little less. This hope vanished the moment Umbraclaw and Owlfeather ignored the serval's warning. He cursed them both in his head, but these thoughts we cut short as a tearing sensation seared through his neck, the weight of Storm using him as leverage driving all of the oxygen out of his body and threatening to snap his spine.

He struggled to regain his breath, the pain so terrible his vision temporarily blackened. In the darkness a flash of familiar fur caused a paw to reach out feebly, grasping at empty air. "Cherrysong..." he wheezed as he slowly regained sight, still consumed by the shadows of the cavern. He could hear Storm shrieking, the sound of a body smashing against stone, and then retreating pawsteps. Storm's spotted pelt passing over him again as she fled deeper into the cavern seemed to bring him back to reality.

Redeye rolled onto his belly, forcing himself to his paws, slipping in something warm and wet. Peering down, he realized with a jolt of fear he was standing in a puddle of his own blood. Fear...long time since he felt that. Managing to shakily find his footing, Redeye leveled Owlfeather and Umbraclaw with a furious glare. "You both have brains the size of a flea. I was handling it! She was listening to me!" He snarled, the freshly flowing blood quickly turning his ghostly pale coat an unnatural red combined with his angered eyes likely an unsettling sight. "Go home!"

With that said he turned his back on the pair and followed Storm into the darkness until his form vanished from sight. "Storm," he whispered, catching what he thought were hints of her eyes ahead of him. "Other small cats go. Just me. Safe. We talk?" Whether it was the loss of blood further adding to his recklessness or he was just that stubborn was up to anyone to guess, but there was no calling him back now. He was lost. To Storm or the cavern yet to be seen.

((I'm going to give Moe a chance to reply before doing Turtlesplash.))

Frost|Ex Med-cat of Duskclan|Fluffy White and Grey she-cat|Location: Duskclan Cap|Mentions: Wolfstorm, Cattlekit

Frost shifted on her paws as if Wolfstorms words had confirmed something she had been hoping was wrong. She turned her steady gaze towards where Wolfstorms gaze had twitched, the apprentices den. She blinked slowly, exhaling a long breath.
"I would never let anyone suffer an injury if I could help." She mewed, slightly quieter than she had been speaking.
"However, I will have to wait for Blackstars official ok to stay, at least for the time being." she glanced towards the solemn leader, eyes narrowing. It was clear from her gaze that something had happened between the pair to elicit the ice that glinted in the stare. She looked about to speak once more, but Cattlekit's sniffing about turned her attention back to the kit. He seemed strong enough, and curious which was a good sign.
"This one's lucky he didn't run into any of your forests threats." She mused, half to the kit, half to Wolfstorm as she regarded the small tom.
"It truly seems nothing changes within these woods." she snorted, though the words were more amused than anything.

Foxpaw|Apprentice of Dawnclan|Small Ginger Tabby She-cat|Location: Cavern|Mentions: Umbraclaw, Owlfeather, Redeye, Storm, Sootpaw

Foxpaw shuddered at the sounds and sensations of the Cavern, but as the deputies moved she joined as well, claws t the ready. Yet, even she wasn't prepared for the ungodly yowl from Storm, and the splash of blood and sound of Larkclaw hitting the cave caused even her to pause, hackles raised and eyes flickering wildly as the attack subsided, quick as a snake. She could not longer see the serval, but it seemed the white Duskclan warrior could. She could hear only the faintest whisper, then a snarl of 'go'. The white vanished into the darkness, and then there was silence. Foxpaw for a moment, was stunned. No Dawnclan cat would be foolish enough to enter that place, but then again Duskclan wasn't forest born, they didn't know. She curled her muzzle into a scowl, backing up a few paces so she was further away from the depths.
"Good riddance I say." she hissed, turning herself to face the two Duskclan cats that remained, still trying to keep her cool despite her slightly frazzled coat.
"I doubt you'll be seeing that cat again." She snorted to the other apprentice.
"to bad your warriors arn't smart." With a last lash of her tail, she backed up so she was slightly closer to her own clanmates.

Cloudburst || 26 moons || Female || Dawnclan Warrior/Queen (queening) || Long white fur with dilute tabby calico marks || polydactyl || Location{Dawnclan camp} || Mentions } {directly- Hornetpaw, Flamepaw, Stagkit, Boarkit, Deceased kits}

Cloudburst had begun to lose hope as kit after kit was dead, two born it, one dying soon after she had finished cleaning the poor thing, but she clung to hope as the last two kits born both lived. "Where's their hair..." she asked, fatigued from labor. She felt tears well up in her eyes as the realization hit her that she had lost over half her litter, and the other two looked weak compared to normal kits. Though it seemed Hornetpaw wasn't afraid or worried for the survivors, in fact, he seemed like he knew exactly what he was doing. She let tears roll down her face, soon her weeping grew into an ugly cry. "It's all my fault isn't it?" she sobbed, nudging the lifeless bodies of the kits as if to wake them. "I just-" she paused abruptly, chin quivering as she tried to force the words, "I just need a few minutes" she finally let out. She curled herself around the small kits. The deceased were still as warm as the living. Pressed her head to each little kits body, grooming all of them shakily before finally moving the dead ones away from the two alive. The two living kits looked so small next to her, like little mice without fur.

Cloudburst nestled them closer to her, urging them to latch. It took numerous attempts, but once they began, they didn't seem to stop, That must be a sign. she thought, her face puffy and nose runny from her breakdown only moments before. She observed the kits closely as they pawed at her stomach, though both lacked much fur, she could make out little patches of fluff, mostly on their backs. Both sport grey fur, but one seemed much darker. The darker one seemed to share the similar bobbed tail that she had, though his may be shorter. She sniffled and nosed the kit softly on it's forehead, then gave it a quick lick, "How's stagkit sound to you?" she whispered, not expecting an answer from the little one. She then turned her weary head to the other kit, this one looked... different... to say the least. It's lip seemed to indent under it's nose, and upon further inspection, she realized that it's nose was split through the center, it almost looked like a piglet. She recalled that it had an underbite as well, but none of that seemed to affect it's drinking, give or take a little bit of milk dribbling down its mouth time and time again. She sniffed the kit, it smelt okay- just like the Stagkit. She tried to shrug off the worry, she would voice her concerns if it started having trouble, but for now she would name it. She repeated the light interaction she had done with Stagkit and said, "and how about Boarkit for you?" she smiled as best she could given the circumstances. She wrapped herself around the two little wigglers and layed her head on the ground. Her eyelids grew heavy, and before too long she was sound asleep.

((sorry if it's kind of all over the place))

Sootpaw | Duskclan Apprentice | 13 moons | Small, gray tabby tom | Location: Dawnclan Territory/The Cavern | Mentions: (Direct) Redeye, Foxpaw (Indirect) Storm, Owlfeather, Umbraclaw, Larkclaw

Sootpaw had remained quiet and in place through the annoying jabs from Dawnclan and the remarks tossed between deputies, and he had even stayed frozen in place when they could all hear the shouts from the serval from within the Cavern. But, at the sound of an unbridled shriek Sootpaw bounded to the mouth of the Cavern, anxious eyes making out shapes in the darkness. He could recognize a faintly white form receding deeper into the cave, and the apprentice shuddered. Something must have gone wrong, but if so then why wasn't Redeye coming back out? Was the warrior really that confident that he could still draw the serval, Storm as they were calling her, out from the safety of those stone walls? He clawed at the ground in anger and fear. Of course, things were turning out to be a mess. He just knew that going in there was a bad idea, and then practically everyone charges inside!

To make matters worse, the Dawnclan apprentice was running her mouth again. Sootpaw glared at the ginger cat as she belittled Redeye and the rest of Duskclan's warriors. The gray tom drew closer, getting in her face and puffing up his fur furiously. "Keep it up and you won't be seeing at all. I might not be the brightest but I'm sure I can figure out how to claw your eyes out, given one or two tries!" He had to make an effort to keep his growl from becoming a shout. First, she disrespects his mentor and deputy by refusing to consider her suggestions, and now this horrid little fox-heart thinks she can just spout whatever disgraceful nonsense she wants about a warrior that is putting his life in danger?! "I don't see you doing anything worthwhile. All I've seen is a little cat dodging around and enjoying the sound of her own voice!" Sootpaw's voice rose, but once he had realized this he took a step or two back and took a breath, attempting to get himself unruffled. He knew that now probably wasn't the time for a shouting match, but he couldn't just let a Dawnclan apprentice say whatever they wanted about his clanmates!

⌘{ Patch }⌘
:: Female :: Rogue :: 35 Moons ::
:: Location: Dawnclan Border (South West Near Cavern?) ::

Patch stayed beside the other she-cat, her gaze intense as the other female spoke of her homeland. So these felines were not completely different from she and her fellow rogues. They still fought each other. Quite honestly Patch was a bit relieved, though a pang of remorse and guilt followed the intense emotion. She shouldn't be happy that she would be fighting Turtlesplash's clan....well if she was accepted into the other...but really, quite honestly, she couldn't help being comforted with that particular piece of information. Being a rogue...well the only thing she really knew how to do was fight and scavenge. Not even hunt really (though that had gotten a bit better in recent months) as the forests and wilds were usually more dangerous than was worthwhile for a lone feline. The knowledge that she could offer up her skills in combat as a reason to let her join....well it made her feel better.

Turtlesplash's next words, however, were completely alien. Toms, working together? The startled expression that flitted across the former clan cat's face made Patch feel like an uncultured piece of dog-meat, but she had truly never before heard of males living so peacefully and non-violently with each other....AND their rival's offspring? Not to mention helping to raise their own children? The only thing she had experienced that was even vaguely similar to what Turtlesplash was talking about would be the males that chose to live with the fur-less bipeds...in many cases, they were physically....changed. This obviously wasn't the case though...at least not from the way her newfound acquaintance spoke. How much easier would her own life had been if she had been offered help to raise her own kits? The thought was banished nearly the moment it was born...one shouldn't dwell on the past too long or they would be at risk of being consumed by it.

Staring down at her paws for nearly a minute as she walked, the rogue was startled as a strong scent caught her nose bringing her head up in an instant and her ears forward as she searched the brush intensely for the source. So consumed by the unexpected stranger...for indeed this scent must belong to a stranger....the muted calico only vaguely heard the next words spoken by her companion. The other's name...Turtlesplash as well as something about a mistake. However, the rest of the female's words were lost to the wind as a tom stepped out through the brush. His form was tall and muscled, his green eyes nearly luminescent in the shade of the trees overhead...very clearly a healthy individual and one who apparently knew Patch's current walking 'buddy'. The fur along the female's back stood on end, unnerved by the large cat's sudden appearance...she didn't do well being startled and only barely swallowed down the deep rumbling growl that rose within her chest. Was this a Duskclan cat? He didn't seem that aggressive towards them only surprised...Dawnclan then maybe? How did that make sense if Turtlesplash was going to lead her to the Duskclan border...unless they had been crossing Dawnclan territory to do it? The whole issue was getting more complicated with every second leaving the rogue with the feeling she was drowning. Perhaps it would be best to let Splash (these clan names were quite a mouthful weren't they) deal with the whole situation. Mother knew if Patch was left to it she would undoubtedly talk her way deep into a hole...or fight her way into one.

Taking her inner monologue as a cue, the large female moved slowly to stand behind Turtlesplash, placing the other female between her and the new stranger. Golden eyes would peer over her aquaintances shoulder, but Patch herself would remain as silent and as still as a statue as the two spoke to each other.

Owlfeather|Duskclan|Deputy|36 Moons Old|Siamese She-Cat|Location: Dawnclan territory|Mention(s) Directly: Sootpaw, Redeye, Foxpaw|Mention(s) Indirectly: Umbraclaw, Larkclaw

The deputy watched in horror, as first Redeye was badly injured and then the Dawnclan warrior was thrown against the cave wall. Owlfeather sprang to her feet, she needed to..... Her thoughts and actions where cut off, when Storm suddenly ran back into the cave again. Before they pursued the serval, she needed to help Redeye. Turning to the white tom, the she-cat stopped in her tracks. "I..... I only...", the Duskclan deputy said, stammering at her warriors outburst. She could only watch, as Redeye ran after the serval into the cave.
"Redeye, don't!!", the she-cat called after him, taking a few steps further into the cave. "Fine", she growled into the darkness, "Have it your way then, fox headed tom", Owlfeather growled into the darkness. A snarl on her face, the deputy turned. Heading back out of the cave, in a very bad mood. Overhearing the last of the Dawnclan apprentices comment, the deputy snapped, "Stop talking, you snake-tongued kit", the Duskclan deputy said, snarling at Foxpaw. Swifty turning, she faced her apprentice, "Sootpaw, where leaving", looking back over her shoulder she added, "If Redeye's so keen on following that 'Storm' in there, then he can come back on his own terms." Alright, Owlfeather was not just in a fowl mood, she was down right angry. Not just had they recently lost a warrior, now the white tom had thought it a good idea to run headlong into a dark cave with an unpredictable large cat. "Back to camp", she snarled, without another word to the Dawnclan cats or even her own apprentice, Owlfeather turned and started to briskly walk back towards the border.

a

Flamepaw|Dawnclan|Apprentice|13 Moons Old|Ginger She-Cat|Location: Nursery - Dawnclan Camp|Mention(s) Directly: Cloudburst, Hornetpaw|Mention(s) Indirectly: Stagkit, Boarkit

The ginger she-cat sat to the side, trying to give Cloudburst and Hornetpaw some space to look over the kits. She felt bad, the queen had lost two kits an the third looked like it would follow soon. She looked up though, as Hornetpaw addressed her. Giving a nod, the apprentice stood up and was about to her out, when she overheard Cloudburst talking. Pausing for a moment, Flamepaw looked over the two healthy kits, "I think it suits them", Flamepaw offered, before pushing her way out of the nursery, to retrieve the bedding.

a

Stagkit|Dawnclan|Kit|Newborn|Dark gray tabby kit with strange eyes|Location: Nursery|Mention(s) Directly: Cloudburst|Mention(s) Indirectly: Boarkit

The small hairless kit let out a small meow, at his mother's comment. Almost as if he had given his consent to her, at his new name. The small kit quickly went about pushing his littermate aside, to suckle again.

Foxpaw|Apprentice of Dawnclan|Small Ginger Tabby She-cat|Location: Cavern|Mentions: Umbraclaw, Owlfeather, Redeye, Storm, Sootpaw

Foxpaw, to her credit didn't flinch as Sootpaw got in her face. Instead, her fur fluffed up and she stood practically on her toes, chin jutting forward with a glint of satisfaction in her gaze, amused she had made the Duskclan Tom crack.
"Go ahead. Try it." She half growled half purred, her eyes staring daggers into the Tom's own, claws at the ready. As his deputy interjected however, she relaxed slightly on her paws, though her hackles were still raised. As they were about to leave she slunk in an arch so she could pass Sootpaw one last time.
"You better watch your back, Duskclanner." she growled quietly, practically in the other apprentices ear. Then with a lash of her tail, she bounded towards Larkclaw, looking as haungty as if they had won a battle. She knew they were close enough to the border that Umbraclaw could watch them and make sure they left the territory. Foxpaw glanced at Larkclaw, slightly curious now that the adrenaline was wearing off. She had never heard the warrior speak that way to a higher ranked cat, and it intrigued her. Their whole lives, they were taught that leaders words were law, and to respect the heirarchy. But, what if they were wrong? Foxpaws brow furrowed at the thoughts that whispered through her mind, lost in her quiet pondering.

Sootpaw | Duskclan Apprentice | 13 moons | Small, gray tabby tom | Location: Dawnclan Territory/Border| Mentions: (Direct) Foxpaw, Owlfeather (Indirect) Redeye, Storm, Owlfeather, Umbraclaw, Larkclaw

Sootpaw growled back at Foxpaw, her confidence making her all the more aggravating. However, he immediately stopped to look at Owlfeather with surprise at the deputy's command to leave. With a worried glance back into the Cavern, Sootpaw hurried after his mentor, but not before the Dawnclan apprentice could get one last word in. Tail lashing, the gray tom continued tailing Owlfeather. As they gained some distance from the Dawnclan cats, Sootpaw dared to speak up. "Will we be coming back for Redeye? We're just leaving to get some help, right?" The apprentice hated the thought of leaving Redeye alone in that cavern with enemies and dangers practically surrounding him.

Sootpaw watched his mentor carefully after posing his questions as they neared the river they had crossed to enter Dawnclan territory. He had seen Owlfeather angry before, but never quite this angry. Then again, he had never witnessed the deputy have to endure a uniquely stressful situation like this one. If the Dawnclan cats could learn to be civil for once in their lives things would have gone so much more smoothly. The serval might not have even run away had those featherbrains not put everyone on edge with their stupid pride and their stupid words and- ow. Sootpaw had bumped a paw against one of the stones that lay by the river a bit more roughly than he had intended to. That is to say, he hadn't intended to hit the thing at all. Even their rocks were stupid. Sootpaw quickly resumed his pace before hesitating at the river's edge and glancing back at Dawnclan's territory, still feeling concerned for the white warrior that they were leaving behind.

⇺ [ Hornetpaw ] ⇻
18 Moons • Male • DawnClan • Medicine Cat Apprentice
Location: Camp • Mentions: Cloudburst, Flamepaw

"I'll be honest, I'm not entirely sure," Hornetpaw answered in response to the question regarding the kits' fur, or lack thereof. "I assume it's because they were born early and didn't have enough time to develop a full coat yet. I wouldn't worry about it, their fur will grow in within a few days. In the meantime, we'll add in extra bedding to help keep them warm and re-enforce the nursery if needed." As Cloudburst fell into dispair Hornetpaw's eyes mirrored her sorrow and he leaned forward to gently swipe his tongue over her forehead. "Not at all Cloudburst. Sometimes...sometimes these things just happen. It's cruel and awful, but it's no cat's fault. You aren't to blame."

Bowing his head in acceptance, he moved to sit by the nursery entrance. "Take all the time you need." He watched as she curled herself around the deceased kits, spending a few moments with them before reluctantly parting to focus on the living. He moved closer as she began naming them, smiling down at the survivors fondly. "Those sound like perfect names," he agreed with Flamepaw. He waited for Cloudburst to drift into sleep before removing the dead, requesting Flamepaw's help once she'd returned with the bedding and piled it around Stagkit and Boarkit.

⇺ [ Turtlesplash ] ⇻
24 Moons • Female • Former Kittypet
Location: DawnClan Border • Mentions: Patch, Shadewing

The approach of another cat saw Turtlesplash snap toward the newcomer with bristled fur despite herself. She'd considered how she would greet her former Clanmates over and over in her head, but both the journey here and her time in the Twolegplace had ingrained in her the expectation of violence from strangers. This feline however, wasn't so much a stranger as a familiar face she hadn't realize how terribly she wanted to see until this moment. "Shadepaw," she greeted, her pelt smoothing out and eyes holding a warm glow. "It's been a long time. I suppose you have your warrior name by now."

She could sense Patch lingering behind her, dubious and anxious. She spared a moment to glance at the other she-cat reassuringly over her shoulder. "So did I, but it would seem fate has brought me home. Who's in charge these days? I assume Gingerfrost is leader by now?" She inquired remembering the deputy was a rather ambitious one. She doubted the temperamental she-cat would be happy to see her and mentally prepared herself for the encounter. "This is Patch, a rogue I met on the way here. She seeks to join a Clan. I meant to direct her to DuskClan, but lost myself in our chatter."

| Wolfstorm | 38 Moons | Female | Duskclan Warrior |
Location: Duskclan camp- Apprentice den
Mentions: Frost, Cattlekit

"I appreciate that." Wolfstorm dipped her head, thanking the cat for agreeing. "Somehow I feel like Blackstar won't have much of a choice, with our medicine cat nowhere to be found, and their apprentice not finished training... If you would stay that is." She looked down at Cattlekit as well. "Perhaps not, but it may not be such a bad thing. At least you can always rely on your clan when you need to. It's far more than can be said for rogue troupes." Wolfstorm's brows furrowed slightly and she sighed. "I'm glad he didn't run into those threats either, they've killed fully grown warriors of both clans, and we're still not even quite sure what they are..." She smiled as the kit snapped at a worm. "I'd bet he'll make a fine cat someday."

| Shadewing | 20 Moons | Male | Dawnclan Warrior |
Location: Edge of territory
Mentions: Turtlesplash, Patch

"It IS you!" Shadewing didn't bother containing his excitement at seeing his old friend and hearing she wanted to rejoin the clan. He leaned out, headbutting her shoulder cheerfully, welcoming her back, at least his own welcome. He purred in amusement and pride at her comment about his name. "It's Shadewing now." He shook his head slightly, fluffing up his neck fur a bit, as if he were showing off. "I got my warrior name a couple moons ago." He sat down, listening. "Indeed, she's Gingerstar now. Not like that's terribly much of a surprise." His attention was drawn to patch, and he waved his tail in a friendly greeting. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Patch." He looked back over at Turtlesplash. "Don't be so sure. There's... things... in the forest, I think the clan could use all the help it could get. Though don't let me speak for the leader... I think there might actually be a chance there, if you're serious about coming home that is."

Umbraclaw|Deputy of Dawnclan|Black Mollie|Location: Dawnclan Forest|Mentions: Foxpaw, Larkclaw, Duskclan patrol

It had all happened so fast, Umbraclaw had came in out of a desire to help Larkclaw, but instead had been indirectly responible for her getting injured. A flash of a guility expression crossed her face before she quickly buried her emotions. There would be time for guilt later, for now she had to back off. As such she would slowly step back before she could make matters any worse.

Once clear of the entrance she would first direct her attention to Owlfeather who annouced her decsions to return to her own territory. At this, she would say. "I'll escort you through the fastest way back to your territory. I know the layout of the land here better than you after all." Then turning her attention to Foxpaw, the deputy would say something surprising. "Foxpaw, I need you to head back to camp as quickly as you can and tell Gingerstar and Ravenblaze what happened. Hopefully by the time Ravenblaze or Hornetpaw shows up, the situation will have settled to the point where Larkclaw can be given some treatment until she can make it back to the medicine den. In any case, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have them bring some food. While at this point I doubt if it will help, but perhaps the offer of a good meal might help us recover a little trust. Now I'm giving you quite a bit of trust here, so please show me that I was right to do so."

With that she would proceed to catch up with the Duskclan and show them the fastest way back to their territory whether they liked it or not.

((Umbraclaw is just taking them to the closest border point since it's possible they will take a less efficient route and to make sure they actually leave.))

Owlfeather|Duskclan|Deputy|36 Moons Old|Siamese She-Cat|Location: Dawnclan territory- Border - Duskclan territory- Duskclan camp|Mention(s) Directly: Sootpaw, Umbraclaw, Blackster|Mention(s) Indirectly: Redeye, Frost, Wolfstorm, Cattlekit

Hearing the Dawnclan deputy, say that she would accompany them, Owlfeather only gave her a nod. She wanted to return to Duskclan territory, as well as report to Blackstar. Owlfeather looked over, at her apprentice. Letting out a sigh, she turned to face forward again. "I don't know, that will be Blackstar's decision", the siamese she-cat answered. The mentors ear twitched, as she noticed the gray tom stumble. They were getting close to the border, finely.
Looking over her shoulder, at Umbraclaw, the Duskclan deputy paused. "If.... when Redeye comes out of there", Owlfeather stopped, to nod in the direction of the cave, "Can you tell your warriors, not to kill him on sight, but just send him back to his clan?", the Duskclan deputy asked. The she-cat suddenly looked weary, as they had walked, her side had started to hurt again. The anger had also faded from her posture, her body was still tens though from being on Dawnclan's territory.
Giving one last nod, to the Dawnclan deputy, Owlfeather turned. "Let's head back", the mentor told Sootpaw. After one more glance over her shoulder, in the direction of the cave, the she-cat looked to her paws. She hoped that Readeye would come out of there, especially alive. Shaking her head, to clear her mind, Owlfeather's eyes grew hard and determined again. Stepping forward, the deputy started to jump from rock to rock. She then waited for a moment at the otherside, watching her apprentice follow.
Once they both made it to the otherside, Owlfeather lead them back in the direction of camp. As they walked, the she-cat picked up on the scent of Dawnclan. Her steps faltered a bit, was she just imagining it, but then she also noticed Duskclan's scent mingled with the Dawnclan scent. More specifically, Blackstar's scent. She would have to ask Blackstar, about what happened. Pausing for a few heartbeats, the deputy waited for Sootpaw to come up at her side. "You did well today", Owlfeather said, a slight purr in her voice. "Especially good restraint, in light of the Dawnclan apprentices words", the deputy added, tapping the young tom at the side with her tail. She was even more confident now, that Sootpaw was ready to be named a warrior.
Reaching the outskirts of the camp, Owlfeather mentally and physically braced herself. Blackstar was going to have a lot of questions, how could she tell her leader, what had happened. Then she also needed to tell him, about that as well. Owlfeather sighed, "Let's go in", the she-cat said, pushing her way through the entrance. Reaching the other side, Owlfeather looked over the scene before her. There were a few cats gathered around a small fur ball and one of cats who looked a lot like Forstpool, what was going on? the deputy wondered. The her eyes settled on Blackster, Owlfeather's chest tightened. She was going to be in trouble, might as well get it over with then. Turning back to her apprentice, she gave Sootpaw a nod, "Go and get something to eat, you'll need it after all of...", Owlfeather trailed off and only gave the young tom a nod, sending him off.
"Blackstar!", the deputy called out, trying to get the leaders attention. Taking several tentative steps forward, Owlfeather stopped before her leader.

Blackstar|Leader of Duskclan|One eyed Black Tom|Location: Dusckclan territory/Camp|Mentions: Owlfeather

Blackstar had been pacing under the high rock, seemingly unable to settle. When the entrance to the camp rustled once again, his head jerked towards it, his single eye trained on the opening, ready just in case. When Owlfeather entered, he felt himself relax but only a hair. Sootpaw looked ruffled, and their patrol was not how it had started out.
Though she called his name, Blackstar was already moving forward on tense paws, nothing his deputies own hesitation before closing the gap. His eye swiveled over the She-cat, flickering briefly to the rest of the clan before he twitched his whiskers, drawing Owlfeather towards a quieter spot. Finally, he turned and settled onto his haunches, his expression passive but his body language tense.
"I suspect there is a good reason that the patrols switched cats, and why you seem to be missing a warrior." He spoke calmly, but any cat who knew him could see the start of anger in the depths of his yellow gaze. It was not fully formed however, moons of practice keeping his feelings at bay so he could assess with a level head.
