We have a discord! Welcome to Terraclan. Before you start, make sure you've signed up and read the rules! Here's the Out of Character thread: Clicky! This RP takes place by the lake territory. Current Event: Check here! Lore You're new to our Clan, aren't you? Well, let me tell you our story. Our Clan was formed not long ago, around 6 moons, by our leader Terrastar. He spent moons observing out neighbouring clan, but wanted to be the leader himself. He witnessed Fernstar going to the Moonpool and went there himself once she was gone. The Dark Forest blessed him with 8 more lives and told him to form his own clan. So far he has only recruited me, but just wait, he will rise to be more powerful. Aetherclan has suffered a great fire, it is time to expand our territory. NPC list: Check them out! Foxpaw - 7 moons - Apprentice - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Oakdapple, Owlpaw Foxpaw's ears pricked when she heard that Owlpaw would be battling as his assessment. How cool! "I'll be right back, Oakdapple." She meowed hastily and bounded up to Owlpaw. "I can't believe it! You're being assessed! Aren't you excited? I'm excited and it's not even my assessment!" A flood of words began spilling from the little spotted tabby as soon as she opened her maw. She continued without a breath: "You're so lucky. I can't imagine battling alongside Terrastar. Ooo! What do you think your warrior name will be?" Foxpaw paused her speech and looked at Owlpaw in anticipation, eyes bright, mouth parted, yet not needing to take a breath. Although she wasn't jealous, she did long to be in her fellow apprentice's place. What apprentice wouldn't? On another note, she had an important job that she wouldn't give up for anything. She held Owlpaw's bright yellow gaze, striped tail twitching eagerly as she awaited his response. ![]() Edited on 21/01/19 @ 18:03:53 by Cavadess (#166344) |

Rainblossom - 14 moons - Warrior - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Terrastar (ID), Owlpaw, Mintwhisper, Ratpelt, Birchheart Rainblossom accepted Terrastar’s answer, but felt strangely disappointed. She wouldn’t be able to show the extent of what she could do, but then again, Terrastar was right. As the meeting ended and cats started to disperse, Rainblossom made her way to Owlpaw. “Good luck on your assessment,” she said with a friendly head-butt, “I know you’ll pass and I’m excited to see you in the warriors den!” With a last comforting lick on his ear, she turned to Mintwhisper, Ratpelt and Birchheart in time to hear Ratpelts smart mouth, and her attitude immediately changed. She was about to interject when the tom said something about the casualties of battles. It reminded her of something a certain white cat said some moons ago. Her nose crinkled into something akin to confustion or maybe disgust - a reaction to some unpleasant memories. She dismissed her thoughts and made a beeline to Ratpelt as he turned to walk away, falling in step with his slow limp. “You hardly seem like the noble type,” the gray she-cat stated, narrowing her eyes, “What’s that about?” Something about the curly-furred tom’s blatant disregard for authority irked her. She didn’t understand him, and not understanding didn’t sit so well with her. She’d be willing to risk starting conflict between the two for some answers, and she’d prod as long as she needed. ![]() Edited on 22/01/19 @ 00:47:03 by 🍯Honey🍯 (#60955) |

Ratpelt - 21 moons - warrior - wound on his hind paw tracing up his leg - camp - mentions: Rainblossom Ratpelt's ears swerve back. "Just run along you kit," he grunts back to the she-cat. He may not know anything about the she-cat but he's going to guess random fox dung about her until he hits a nerve so he can find other weak spots. The curly furred tomcat begins to meow once more, "no one needs you to ask the big questions, Rain-paw." He huffs out paw exaggerated. The tomcat feels a bit guilty since he's new to the whole warrior thing as well, but he just stiffens his short legs and chubby body. He continues to stare her down awaiting a response from her with twitching whiskers. ![]() |

Birchheart - 27 Moons - Deputy - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Terrastar, Rainblossom, Mintwhisper, Ratpelt. Birchheart nodded at Mintwhisper, and almost turned away until Rainblossom asked her a question. She opened her mouth to answer, but was interrupted by Ratpelt. She growled angrily at his words. “Alright that’s enough!” Birchheart yowled at him. “Just because you do not agree with this battle does not mean you get to disrespect a fellow warrior like that! Now, please behave. If I catch you doing this again I will notify Terrastar immediately.” Birchheart growled lowly. She turned to Rainblossom, and softened her eyes at the young Warrior. “I’m so sorry about that Rainblossom, that mouse-brain has been in a foul mood since the meeting. He doesn’t agree with the battle. I don’t wish to make him any less cooperative than he already is, so I suggest you just leave the situation and make your battle preparations.” Birchheart meowed softly. She nodded a goodbye to all the cats she had been talking to, and quickly turned to catch Terrastar. She jumped up to his position on the rock, and purred. “You wanted to see me, Terrastar?” She asked lightly. She contemplated telling him about the uncertainty of Ratpelt and where his loyalty lies. She decided to take this time to ask this. “And what should I do if Ratpelt doesn’t listen to me?” She asked. ![]() |

Sootheart - 15 moons - Warrior - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Terrastar (ID), Oakdapple, Foxpaw, Owlpaw A weight she wasn't aware of lifts off Sootheart's shoulders when Terrastar confirms that there would be no killing. As tough as she tries to be, the warrior still has nightmares of crushing skulls and can still feel Maplestream's blood on her paws. She can feel herself sink into her deep dark thoughts, so Sootheart stands up and shakes her fur out, hoping to rid herself of her thoughts with the motion. With a smile, Sootheart watches Foxpaw bounce from cat to cat to chat. The grey shecat walks over to medicine cat, freshly abandoned by her apprentice, to ask for the strengthening herbs. "Hello Oakdapple. I didn't get a chance to say before, but congratulations on becoming a full medicine cat." She glances over to Foxpaw to make sure the spotted tabby is far enough away before she turns back to Oakdapple. "I know it's technically Foxpaw's duty to protect you, but will you please watch over her? I don't want her to do anything dangerous trying to prove herself," Sootheart pleads. She sees too much of herself in her apprentice and if she was in Foxpaw's position, she would definitely do something reckless. Realizing how vulnerable she's making herself by showing such concern, Sootheart straightens up and clears her throat. "Anyway, thanks," she meows awkwardly and quickly turns around, walking away from Oakdapple. A few steps away, she realizes she forgot to ask about the herbs but is too embarrassed at the moment to return. Sootheart decides she'll just eat first. Then she will suck up her pride and ask the medicine cat about the herbs. On her way to the fresh kill pile, Sootheart passes Foxpaw and Owlpaw talking. "Make sure you eat something," she reminds the apprentices. "Oh, and good luck on your assessment Owlpaw," she adds. "I'm sure you'll do great." ![]() |

Rainblossom - 14 moons - Warrior - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Mintwhisper, Ratpelt, Birchheart Rainblossom nearly makes a swipe at Ratpelts face, her pelt beginning to bristle at his tone and exaggerated ‘paw’. She was afraid to admit it would’ve been a bit satisfying, too. Birchheart stops them, though, and Rainblossom’s eyes immediately soften when she turns to look at her deputy. “Of course, Birchheart,” she says, bowing her head apologetically, “We shouldn’t be starting conflict, especially in a time we need to come together as a clan. I’ll go prepare for the battle with the others.” She starts to pad away, slowing down as she brushed past the annoyed tom, “And I’m excited to see that same energy during the battle -” she grins. The glint in her eye prevented her statement from feeling truly genuine, and she only cemented that theory when she ended it with a low, petty whisper, “- Ratpaw.” ![]() |

Owlpaw -11 Moons - Apprentice- Healthy - Apprentice Den - Mentions: @ Terrastar , Birthcheart, Ratpelt, Mintwhisper, Foxpaw Open Owlpaw felt a surge of dignity swell within his heart, upon recognition that he was soon to be of age. Determination fluctuated internally as his mind mentally began to prepare for battle. He looked towards Terrastar with a small smile, trying not to be overly excited from this initiation. An ear flick to Birchheart's delighted purr, but could sense the urge of closure needed between the pair. However, it would have to wait it seemed. Owlpaw trotted quietly behind his mentor to greet Ratpelt and Mintwhisker. His bobbed tail whisked highly as a stub, but Ratpelt's comments were noted and absorbed like sunlight. He was unsure of how to feel about Ratpelt talking venomously about Terrastar. He tried to avoid the warrior's bitternessas much as possible. Soon the duo disappeared and he heard Foxpaw approach him. Her excitement of questions fueled him even more and graced his confidence to no limit. A chuckled mused his muzzle, unsure of how to answer such as surge of questions. " I am not sure, Foxpaw, Ihaven't given any thought to be honest. Time flies by so fast. One moment you are wondering when your time shall near, and when it actually does.. Your mind is oblivious. " He purred, looking as the smaller tabby. An ear flicker to Sootheart as the bigger warrior strolled pass them,to encourage the effort of keeping their strength up. He nodded obediently, looking towards the fresh kill pile for a moment unsure of what to pick. His appetite was inconsiderable, but Sootheart was right. He made his way over to the fresh kill pile, and sniffed at it feebishly. ![]() |

Foxpaw - 7 moons - Apprentice - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Owlpaw, Oakdapple Her gaze was focused as she listened to Owlpaw. "Neat! I know you'll do great. Good luck!" She meowed and then added quickly: "Not that you'll need it." With that she wheeled around and raced back to Oakdapple. She stood at his side, puffing out her chest and and lifting her head high to lessen the size gap between herself and the long, slender tom. She stumbled forwards, catching herself before she could fall. She attempted to straighten herself out but lost her composure and began to laugh. "Hey, Oakdapple? How did you get so tall?" She asked this amusedly but with no spite in her tone. "You must have a close relationship with Starclan." Although this may have sounded like a joke, it was not meant that way in the slightest. Brought into the clan malnourished and underdeveloped, her mindset was like that of a kit. Innocent and naive. She never meant to be offensive and was confused when others took her comments the wrong way. She tilted her head and looked up at the cat beside her. ![]() Edited on 23/01/19 @ 12:09:19 by Cavadess (#166344) |

Birchheart - 27 Moons - Deputy - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Terrastar, Open! Birchheart nodded in understanding as she listened to her instructions. She supposed it would be better for him to not fight if he truly didn’t wish to. She shook her head as she followed Terrastar out of camp. She soon realized the imminent threat upon them. As much as she would like to believe there would be no casualties, she didn’t know how Aetherclan would react. She wasn’t quite sure if she was ready to become leader, however, she needed to believe that she was. She had to be eventually. She padded quickly behind her mate, and realized his emphasis on the word “privately”. She didn’t know what he was going to say to her, but she knew from that simple word that his message was for her alone. At a certain point, she asked him, “Where are we going?” ![]() |

Sootheart - 15 moons - Warrior - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Oakdapple, Foxpaw, open Eating quickly, Sootheart soon finds herself hesitating to ask the medicine cat for the strengthening herbs. She is still hot with embarrassment from leaving without them. Taking a deep breath, the grey warrior holds her head up and walks confidently towards Oakdapple and Foxpaw. "Would I be able to get some herbs?" Her flame colored eyes move to her apprentice. "Have you eaten yet, Foxpaw? You won't be a very efficient guard with an empty belly." ![]() |

Oakdapple - 13 moons - Medicine Cat - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Terrastar (ID), Foxpaw, Sootheart, open! Oakdapple flicked one of his large ears as Terrastar indirectly ordered him to gather up strengthening herbs for the journey and battle ahead, and he waved his tail at Foxpaw as she ran off before turning to prepare the ingredients he would need. He paused, however, when he heard Sootheart address him, and he settled to talk to the warrior for a few moments. They were similar in age; he wondered if she remembered his failed warrior training before he was even allowed to become a medicine cat apprentice. "Thank you Sootheart, I'm glad the Clan seems so confident in my abilities." He mused, shaking a few dead leaves out of his fur. The young tom followed Sootheart's gaze over to Foxpaw, and snorted with amusement at what she said. Clearly she cared a lot for the apprentice, and that, of course, was a good thing. It was always easiest to learn from some cat one has a great bond with, he thought. "Yes, I'll watch over her. Maybe I'll have to put my paw on her tail to stop her from running off, but if all goes well, I plan to stay a bit removed from any fighting. Much easier to treat the injured away from the danger, you know." He explained, nodding at her before padding into his den and starting to put together little packets of strengthening herbs. Some burnet, leaves that could be easily swallowed, oh, and maybe chamomile and ragwort too, to give warriors extra strength and energy in battle. As he was preparing the packets to give to cats when they approached him, he heard pawsteps and looked up to see Foxpaw. The apprentice was excitable, he gave her that. He vaguely wished he could have been so excited about warrior training like other cats his age were, but the life of a warrior was not one he would tolerate well. Still, he appreciated Foxpaw's presence as he was working, and he laughed along with her as she stumbled around. "How did I get so tall? Stretches." He replied jokingly, stretching out one of his back legs straight and spreading out his toes. "Do it enough and I'm sure you'd get legs long enough that your head would be up in the clouds. But I decided this was tall enough for me." At the mention of StarClan, however, Oakdapple's expression changed slightly. "StarClan? Don't make me laugh, AetherClan may enjoy the fantasies of their StarClan ancestors, but TerraClan cats know that the Dark Forest is where true strength comes from. I must admit, they guide me well." The medicine cat explained, flicking his tail when Sootheart approached him again. "Yes, I was just finishing up preparing some. Here you go." He mewed in response to her request for herbs, nudging one of the little packets he had made towards her. As the warrior spoke to Foxpaw about eating, he felt his own stomach rumble, making a mental note to grab some fresh kill before they left. ![]() |

Foxpaw - 7 moons - Apprentice - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Sootheart, Oakdapple "Don't worry Sootheart, I'll grab something." The spotted tabby meowed and puffed out her chest. "I'll make sure I'm at my best." Her long striped tail swayed happily, until she heard Oakdapple's words. "You're not guarding me, silly. I'm guarding you! And I won't be running off." She huffed out the last sentence, feeling belittled. The tom was making her sound like she was a kit who couldn't be trusted with responsibility! She sat, looked down, and focused on grooming her dark cream colored chest in an attempt to hide the the fact that her ego was bruised. Let him think that, she thought to herself, I'll prove to him that I'm more than ready for this. Fire rekindled, her head snapped up and she sprang to her feet, ready to show him that she was no kit, she'd just have to find a way. "Stretches?" Her jaw dropped in disbelief and without thought, she began to stretch her front legs before abruptly stopping and standing straight a moment later. She had a hard time distinguishing jokes and sarcasm from sincere words. The young cat wasn't sure if he was kidding, but decided to save her stretches for when she was alone just in case. Foxpaw burned with embarrassment when Oakdapple scoffed at her mention of Starclan. She made a mental note that she wasn't to bring up that controversial word again. It was just that, as a kit in the nursery, she had been told about the Dark Forest by the queens who had been like mothers to her after she was dropped off with the clan. Thinking of the it always gave her a sense of discomfort and fear. And then there was the dream... She was in unfamiliar woods. Shadows swallowed every shape around her and a pungent stench laced the crisp air. On this night, the woods were filled with fog, thick and swirling. It dominated the unforgiving atmosphere, it surrounded her, filling her lungs with foul air. The undeniable presence of danger filled her with such all-consuming fear that she trembled at her very core. Suddenly, she felt a tug and was lifted by the scruff of her neck above the ominous forest. She looked all around but saw nothing but stars burning brightly in the night sky. She wasn't falling, either, and had no fear of it happening. Rather, she was filled with such a profound sense of peace and security that she had never felt before... She was told that Starclan was a nursery tale that only the weak and foolish believed in. She was told that the Aetherclan cats followed the fabled Starclan blindly and were brainless enough to put their trust in a bunch of cats in the sky. Still, the little cat couldn't ignore the dread she felt at the words "Dark Forest". "Y-yeah. I was just joking" She meowed distractedly and padded away to the fresh kill pile in a daze. ![]() Edited on 26/01/19 @ 19:46:56 by Cavadess (#166344) |

Sootheart - 15 moons - Warrior - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Foxpaw, Oakdapple, open Sootheart takes the herbs and leaves Foxpaw and Oakdapple to finish preparing for the invasion. The warrior flicks her tail, impatient now that she's finished preparing herself. She's eaten, taken herbs, checked up on her apprentice, and now all she can do is wait. Sootheart hates waiting. Flame colored eyes scan the camp for Terrastar and Birchheart, but the leader and deputy are nowhere in sight. The grey she-cat sighs and wanders around to find something to occupy herself. With nothing to distract her, Sootheart's memories from when she was a kittypet surfaces. The twoleg kits and male twoleg would leave the nest every day for most of the day, leaving her and the female twoleg in the nest alone together often. Sootheart developed a bond with the female twoleg and she soon noticed that the twoleg would do strange poses and twists every day. Sootheart thought it was weird, but the twoleg looked calmer afterwards. Remembering the after effects of this yogi, Sootheart decides maybe it is worth a try. The warrior stretches her front paws far in front of her, leaving her rump in the air. She holds the pose for a moment before letting her hind end fall. Lying down, Sootheart rolls onto her back and stretches her head back and reaches her front paws into the air. She holds position for a beat before relaxing. Sootheart frowns. Yogi isn't working. She remains on her back, staring up at the sky. "I hope we get moving soon," she groans. ![]() |
