 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

(Hey everyone! It’s October, which means it’s almost the 1st anniversary of this adoption thread opening! It’s been a bit empty lately, so to celebrate I’d really like to get it up and running again. I am too busy to roll over every day, but I am active on the weekends and am usually able to log in two or three times during the week, so I will respond to everyone’s posts as soon as possible. (Also, quick interest check: would anyone be interested in a clan? I thought it would be fun to create one to expand the shelter, but also to become closer as a community. As well as promoting the adoption page, we’d have raffles, giveaways, a thread where you could request food/toys/etc if you’re in need, places to chat about random stuff, and maybe even competitions! I would definitely need help to run it, but for now I’d just like to see who’s interested, especially those of you who have adopted or donated cubs here several times. White spotting covered the once bright golden fur of the fuzzy queen, soft flowers perched in her fur as she made her way towards the secluded area. Her ears twitched as she heard the sounds of adolescents running about energetically. Beside her stood her submales- A pure white lion with a mane like slate and grim appearence, and a large burly primal with dulled out markings. "Greetings, Imbasa, I am Pahket. I have heard about your services and my pride is interesting in adding new blood to the ranks." She dipped her head, only to turn to walk towards the adolescents. The white lion was already running around and trying to interact with the males, gauging their reactions, whilst the primal sat gruffly-like a guard. Pahket let out a loud gasp as her eyes landed on the adolescent she had overheard as being called pink. "I believe you are the broodmother Indlovu? Yes. I would love to adopt Pink- she looks like a responsible and good-natured lioness, and I believe she would make a great role model for my future cubs and other lionesses" Her eyes were wide, her motherly nature bursting through. 0 players like this post! She wanted to keep the new lionesses company since the king was attempting to get rid of so many cubs. She blinked towards the nearest broodmother. (I would totally be interested in joining a clan :3 -For Cheetah, Ridge, and Velvet-) The darkly pigmented lioness strode towards the pride's territory with a graceful posture, her strides displaying her confidence and poise. Her blue eyes surveyed the area. There were not many cubs around, mainly adolescents. She sensed several females were reaching maturity which caught her attention. One cub in particular lion caught her eye. A tan tinted female who was nearly two years of age. Sibylla lifted a brown and made her way over towards the lioness. Upon arrival the spotted lion remained silent as if she was waiting for the superior lion to speak. She took note of her posture and placed herself beside the lion. "I couldn't help but notice you sitting here alone. Thought I should introduce myself. Queen Sibylla." The cub met her gaze and dipped her head in a respectful manner. "Cheetah." "Cheetah." She tested the name on her tongue, "Yes I suppose that will do. I will admit I have taken a liking to you and wish for you to join my pride. However since this is my first time I was wondering if you prefer me to take a couple of additional lions with you? Maybe a few of your friends or siblings." Cheetah perked up and grinned, "Would you be willing to take Ridge and Velvet too?" "Oh course." The lioness rose to her paws and signaled for Cheetah to gather her friends. For now Sibylla would look for a broodmother to make the adoption official. In a matter of minutes she located an elder lion with pale brown fur. Slowing her pace to a gentle walk she approached the lion with a lowered head. All elders in her opinion, were to be shown with the same respect as a pride's king or queen. "Good morning ma'am. Once again Queen Fable entered with her loving King Lucifer by her side. Fable looked around, and before she could say anything Lucifer pointed out Char and Elephant. Fable nodded, they'd do nicely as pride mates. The king couldn't believe he was almost 11 years old, he would be too old to do this at some point, Lucifer however walked with Fable to a brood mother, "Excuse Us?" He said in a kind voice, "We're interested in both of those adolescents?" Lucifer asked, before gesturing towards the Good and Evil teens. 0 players like this post! Like? |
